I've gotten haircuts at some pretty cheap non-brand locations before, but this was legitimately the worst haircut I've ever gotten. The barber seemed entirely disinterested in my hair and just wanted finish the job as quickly as possible, leaving my hair completely lopsided and uneven, so much so that now I have to go to a different place to get it sorted out. Definitely a place to be avoided.

If you are looking for a short haircut, I think you will really like him. But I came in with long hair and specifically told him I was just looking for a trim and for it to be cleaned up a bit, I even said I wanted to keep the length because I like long hair, and he ended up taking off about 4 inches in length at least, taking me from shoulder-length to a pretty short haircut.I also have curly hair, though the curl type is very loose, and he didn't seem to know how to properly cut it. I said I liked my bangs to be about eyebrow length, but he pulled my hair straight to cut it to my eyebrows so of course when it was cut it sprung back up and barely go halfway down my forehead. He was also using a fine-tooth comb, which was getting caught in my curls, and it almost seemed like instead of switching to a wide-tooth comb or trying to work with my curl type, he opted to just cut off the hair where the comb was getting stuck.I didn't want to give a bad review because he clearly does impeccable work on people who want short hair, but I felt I had to caution anyone with long hair who wants to keep their length.

I didn’t want a rushed haircut for $35, which is way too expensive anyway, so I left and went to another one down the street.

Moaz Selim: I was a loyal customer of Atlas, specifically Latif Josef for 2 years. Haircut was consistently good and sometimes great. However, on my last visit I -- very politely and respectfully -- notified Latif that despite arriving 5 minutes early to every appointment I wouldn't get in the chair until at least 10 minutes after the scheduled time. He began by denying this. Then when another customer agreed he had a similar experience he blew up on me and said "This is how it goes. If you don't like it, find another barber." Again, I was a loyal customer who came every two weeks for two years, tipping generously each time.I later spoke with the owner and he apologized on Latif's behalf. I was disappointed Latif did not wish to apologize himself but I figured he was just the type with too much pride and decided to forget about it. I tried to schedule another appointment and it was canceled on me. Shortly after, I received a text from the owner telling me "Unfortunately all barbers are refusing to work with you, so we are not taking your reservation." This was an outlandish response to what occurred but it does match up with the immaturity I observed in Latif when I simply asked him "what can I do so I don't have to wait every time?"I have since taken my business to Rei at La Flamme. His cuts are comparable in quality but now I'm paying 2/3 as much. Blessing in disguise?Bottom line, here's what you can expect from Atlas:THE GOOD:-Haircut (From Latif specifically): a good skin fade, consistently. Also great at trimming beards-Friendly service overall: free water & espresso. The staff are personableTHE BAD:-Wait times: You will wait. No questions asked. Don't go on a tight schedule. I have seen people leave because they waited so long.-Hygiene: This place is not clean. Most barbershops aren't however. Make of this what you will. It didn't bother me.-Immaturity: This is what broke it for me. Apparently they can't handle anything more than a "Thank you."I gave two stars because despite my experience, I did get a good haircut.Services:Beard trim,Haircut
