Kelly Cambridgeport: The Aesop in Harvard Square was my first disappointing experience with the brand. The two ladies working the evening of November 11, 2022 were not welcoming and I was not offered not given any samples. Also, they both told me they had plenty of a specific item in stock only to be told later they erred. The employee who greeted me was the nicer one, but she handed me off to her colleague who wasn't as pleasant. The second employee kept suggesting fragrances for me to buy, which I wasn't in the market for. I should add here that I have most of Aesop's product line already. I would have bought all their Citrus Melange Cleanser if they were in stock, but they have been out of stock for months. I still bought one of Aesop's pricey products, but the sales person made me feel like I had inconvenienced her. I am guessing she had a sales goal of fragrances to fulfill and she thought she could meet that goal with me. I spent under 10 minutes in the store and was the only customer there at the time. Also, I don't know if this has relevance, but I am not of the same skin color as they are. That shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does.I get a much better and friendlier experience ar the Newbury Street and Honolulu stores.

Jess Reyes: Walked into this location for the first time looking for a gift set for a loved one. I had a lovely shopping experience with the staff being so knowledgeable about the products. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed when it comes to the packaging, ingredients and functionality. Their product range of skin, hair and body care is gender neutral and high quality. The employee even added a bunch of samples to try, which was very thoughtful
Kailah M. Adefolalu: Finally went in after years of walking past for school and trying their testers outside. So glad I did! Bear (hope I go her/their name right!) absolutely spoiled me! I told her I was buying myself a little wedding gift and she gave me a complimentary bottle of a hand balm she knew I loved and customized my samples for wedding day skin care! The ambiance is peaceful and understated, yet luxurious. Can't wait to come back and try more products.

Kaley Wang: I visited Aesop with my boyfriend few weeks ago, the sales lady is very friendly and detailed-oriented. We've tried some signature skin care products ( toner and serum) with her help and I finally picked a product which seems a good fit for me - Bitter Orange Toner. The sales lady also gave us so many samples to let me and my boyfriend try at home. I've using the Bitter Orange Toner and sample serum & purifying facial exfoliate for a while. I can see my skin has an obvious change after I start to use Aesop. It becomes more softer and balance than before. Especially I feel very hydrated in the morning (I usually apply serum before bed). I'm so happy to do my skincare with Aesop products everyday and will keep exploring more with this brand!
Ng Swerd: Simple small store but great service. Love the hand wash tester station. No plastic storage, everything is either glass or other non-plastic material.

Maria Santiago: With the whole pandemic, all things are weird and everywhere has their own way of operating. I came to this location and the signs outside are very unclear on how things are working so I decided to open the door to ask the lady standing right inside how things work here and before I could even ask I was instantly yelled at to close the door and told I cannot come inside. I then stated that I was not trying to come inside I was just trying to understand how things work here because the signs don’t make any sense, I was then yelled at again to close to door becasuse she was apparently waiting on someone else.

This store needs to be redone and needs a huge nail supply and options. The gel uv lights are super expensive and cheap af. Barley any gel color or dip color options. IamCadenz: I had to call a store that was a lot further out (Waltham, MA) and the Manager "Anna" called an employees phone that worked there...she was currently off shift and said that people had been having problems calling the store and had experienced "no dial tone". I pleasantly reminded them that the phone, as well as the website, is generally the first point of contact with a customer and if the phone doesn't work, tons of business is being lost... and should have been tossed up the line to corporate immediately. I waited for about 10/15 minutes while the manager was waiting for contact with an employee at the McGrath Hwy location. I asked if she was able to check the inventory of the other store and it was a no. After finding out the price of the product it is a lot less than ordering online. If I'd planned to order online I wouldn't have called. This is and was the absolute worst customer service experience I've had in a while. Ive been shopping here since the 90s and may consider other options in the future should the issue not be corrected expediently.

Roberta Nicole: If I could provide negative stars for the customer service alone, i would! The slim tall man there has a major attitude problem and needs to retire if he is tired of his job. I simply asked if they had any more colors because I didn't see any and sometimes places have hair in the back they haven't stocked yet. So I told my mom let's see if another store has the color but we'll get the hair we have in our hands. I guess the store worker heard me and said "why you always in here complaining, the colors that are on the wall are what's here and that's that"People reading this, I am not from MA nor do I live here, I'm visiting my mom after like 1.5 yrs, so how can this man say he's seen me in here with my mom many times complaining. Smh. I will never buy hair from any place in MA again. I shall ship my mom hair from ny/nj every so often so she doesn't spend money there either. Go there as a last resort imo.

Cassie Fils: There aren't too many hair beauty supply stores for black hair outside of Boston so its nice Franklin's exist. Ive been going here since I was a teenager. The owner is amazing. He knows more about weaves and braiding hair than most women which is quite impressive. Some braiding hair stores will let you peruse for minutes until you settle on something. The owner will proactively ask me if I need help, even when I'm not sure. He will figure out what I need so I can be in and out. I always get the help and hair that I need. Thank you!

Connie Chung: Bad experience and poor customer service! I ordered online and pick up in store during the vacation in Boston. The staff packed the wrong item, i discovered when i was back to hotel. I bought 4 bottles of shower gel, but the staff gave me 3 shower gel and 1 body lotion. Due to labor day, i am unable to reach out to customer service until Tuesday. I have already back to Baltimore, and the nearest store is 5 miles away from my apartment. It is unreasonable to ask me paying extra $30-40 for taking uber to the store for exchange the wrong item, which is caused by staff’s mistake! Why should I suffer, not my mistake. Bad customer service.
