Brad Silsby: Painful
Narūnas Bukauskas: Sometimes little disheveled, mostly OK for some last minute stuff

Don McLaughlin: The service was great
sal poli: Lots of empty shelves and very aggravating
Jimmy Santiago: Excellent
Paul Trischitta: Unbelievable selection
fathi bashir: I had twice live worms from the store. First, it's expensive for the amount you'll get ( $5, it was very few worms ). Second and most importantly, the worms were dead and looked like they had been in storage for a long time and were not in good condition. The rest of the store service and the staff were excellent.
snow plowin: Way way way overpriced compared to any and all other retailers on every single product in store. I guess if you need it now or not at another store they have the advantage$29.99 for this come on now$4.99‐7.99 anywhere else
craig mahon: Boating and marine are good. Fishing could be better.
Chris Baker: Leave plenty of time to check out. I typically wait about 10-15 minutes to check out and pay
Jay Carrier: Customer service is way below expectancy not enough staff allegedly to the point I'm on hold for 2 hours I don't understand they have to take a message to get back to me on the simplest thing nothing more than a part number for an outboard shifter linkage so ridiculous I need a carburetor no inventory I need an ignition coil no inventory
lbacon4th: The staff and especially the store manager are incredibly helpful. Always willing to go the extra mile to help find what you need.....can't say enough

West Marine: what do users think?
C H: Somewhat pricey but they have absolutely everything a boater needs and then some. The staff I dealt with were friendly.
Dan Gray: Great variety of boating and fishing stuff, and great employees to help you
Christopher Ozolins: great consistent service and products for decades and not cheapest prices however great policies on returns etc
Bruce Strong: This is my idea of a toy store! No, actually I've been using West Marine for years as my go to for parts for my boats and my catapult. Now epoxy supplies for my model rockets. Great people, great stuff.
Tom O'Connell: Excellent staff at this location. Knowledgeable and helpful.
Dennis Reddy: Great I was surprised to see, the many other products, they sell, expensive, boat products are not cheap.
Schuyler Donovan: Very helpful. Highly recommend
Mike Thibodeau: Staff greeted me on entry and asked if I needed any help. I walked the aisles myself and then went to one station to work with staff on a selection. I learned about the products and selection and left well informed intending to make my ultimate decision in the next day or two.
Jay Ponte: Great store! Very clean and super friendly staff. My go-to spot for anything Boats.
Jeremy C: Ridiculous prices and staff does not know much about boating supplies
Arthur Liao: Amazing store if you own any sort of boat. My first time going to one, and I'm so glad I did. Found replacement wheels and tires for my trailer and a new cover for my boat. Staff was friendly and helpful finding products.
Danny Otero: Came here for some swimming caps and found them on sale. I don't own a boat or kayak but if I did, I would definitely shop here. They have everything boating related and a good amount water sports items. I highly recommend!
Thomas Kingsley: They usually have what your looking for, and you pay for it! Great customer service!
Charles Young: Great service.
Chris Williams: Should be 0 stars for support. Go someplace else even buy on line. I purchased a Cruise 36 fridge to replace the original. The new one is dual voltage and has never run on 12V (which I need). Isotherm support not helpful and West support while polite is less helpful. West answer is they can't replace it as it has been opened. If I never opened it how would I know if it works. Even the agent found this hard to believe. I'm now 6 weeks into chasing multiple support teams around.
John Spears: Very helpful staff
Roy: Didn't have what I needed and asked someone if they could check other locations to see if I might be able to tell me if another location might have the item in stock. Clerk tried for about 2 minutes and said he couldn't do it without the original box.
Kellee Twadelle: I have been to 3 west marine’s today and Mike in Braintree was amazing and helped find the correct part for our boat! THANK YOU MIKE!
Personal Boston, MA: Extremely helpful staff. I think his name was Mike
Rebecca Summet: Friendly staff, good supply of ANYTHING you could possibly need...
Tom Doyle: Inventory levels are low on items needed to complete projects. Nuts, bolts, screws, bolts, etc. Rigging items like turnbuckles, tangs, etc are pretty much nonexistent. If I buy an item there, requiring installation, I almost always have to go to Park hardware to get items I need. The store is attractive and nice to shop in.

Baert Marine: what do users think?
Tony Marques: Worse place to do business with very unprofessional and rude.
Scott Rieder: Very helpful to me as a walk-in with a very minor project
William Lho: Very helpful and always responded in a timely manner. Tim in service is the man always kind and helping customer fairly.
T J: Excellent service.
Ken Faubel: Bought an outboard last summer and an inflatable this year. Friendly folks and a nice selection of stuff including parts. Not cheap but that's boating.
Alex Cassie: 2 Stars, because they managed to hang a new engine on a hull. Passed that they apparently don't care. Tried to prime the fuel line and had an instant fuel leak. The engine oil was less than half full as well. Also, the electrical wiring was left disconnected from the battery and wiring brackets were left dangling. We found the spin on water separator/fuel filter was not tight. The steering wheel was not close to being straight. I'm now fixing all the problems on my friends boat and he paid through the nose to have repowered. Don't take your boat there if you care about it. Anyone with a little knowledge could do a more conscientious job. Considering they let a boat leave without the bilge pump connected and a fuel leak on a brand new installation, maybe they should not be servicing anything. Compare prices before you buy here. I called around and found much better prices on outboards and service. For what they charge your boat should be returned in better operating condition.
Lynn Logan: We recently purchased a used boat from this marina and had very smooth transaction, from initial inspection to sea trial to hitching her up to our truck for the drive home. Everything they said they would do, they did. We got an amazing boat at a fair price. Good people!
George Shashaty: Nice place for the wealthy not a middle class product boats pricey friendly service though knowlegable.
Brian F: I own a Grady White and have used Baert Marine for parts in the past. Can't say I ever had any issue with buying parts except maybe that their prices seem 20-30% higher than other dealers. However, they were closer than other Yamaha dealers so "was" what it "was". I don't go here any more, hence the past tense. Why the 1 star? Because there was no option for zero stars.Last year my nephew brought his Yamaha 2 stroke to them based on my referral. They seemed to take a long time and were off with everything they scheduled or estimated. Their service departments troubleshooting process was a parts swapping methodology for electrical and fuel parts. To be clear, my nephew brought it in for fuel issues and mentioned that he was interested in having the carbs cleaned and evaluation of the fuel system. By the time they got to the carbs they were already into the thousands with other parts and had not even run it yet. OK, maybe they are being thorough? They claimed the carbs were too bad to cleaned which was one of the most ridiculous and lazy things I have ever heard. I have seen some really bad carburetors over my time and have never found a carb so bad it could not be cleaned / rebuilt. They milked my nephew for 3 brand new carbs at over $500 a piece. I think it was closer to 600 each but after labor he was into this motor for almost $5K .... and they have not even started it yet. Claim was also that the carbs would take 2+ months to come in but then came in within 2 weeks and then they made him wait even longer to install them. Makes sense, they likely take better care of their elite customers and put everyone else on the back burner. Finally he got call to come pick up his boat and he was ecstatic. I went with him for this trip to make sure everything went well. Started it up and sounded ok. We were not 1000 feet from the dock and the engine accelerated outside of the throttle out of control, then died. Would not restart. Pulled cover off of outboard and saw one of the bolts from one carburetor in the bottom pan and another backing out / with a loose carburetor.Result was.... get this.... (because it shows how bad these people really are) - Blown head / piston and Baert Marine claimed that there was water in the two stroke oil that caused it and claimed zero responsibility/accountability for the loose carburetor. They even offered to sell him a new Yamaha engine and said that his was older and should be replaced. WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? I could not believe what I heard. I saw the carb hanging with my own two eyes. I was holding the loose bolt in my hands. When a 2 stroke gets water in the combustion chamber, it dies. You get steam as a sign just as this happens and it boggs down rather quick. When you mix too much air (such as when a carb is wide open and loose) the engine keeps going until it melts. Think about how a fire is supported and when you throw water on it vs some wind. Simple high school chemistry?Needless to say, my nephew got completely screwed from this dealership and we will never go back nor refer anyone there ever again. I hope they go out of business and I even made a complaint to Grady White about them. There are many better options out there. If you decide to still do business with them, I hope you have better results but to me their integrity is shot. Management ultimately decides how/if they take care of their customers and do the right thing. They did not.Find a dealer that is more accountable and will take care of at least their own mistakes. Trial and error methodology is also unacceptable. Test out all major systems then tell the client about the potential costs after an assessment. Even if a range. I'm sure that if he knew that the costs of repairing a 12-14 year old outboard could be 5-6K, he may have considered other options including a re-power.
Ed Cloutman: Grady white the BEST around
milo 04sox: They are great people who are selling great products. Thank you for the time you took with me over my purchase...
Bob Park: Very courteous, very quick service. Would highly recommend.
RedSox Fan: I could write a book with my recent bad experiences here. Shame on me for keep going back though. Really hoped they could resolve my issues but clear that they are not good at solving problems, only suggesting new parts and service time on the same problem.Issues: They take a LOT longer than they estimate, terrible communicators, overcharge for their services, and do not stand behind their work (especially their mistakes). To be clear though they did not used to be this way but over the last year or so, they have gone downhill. Heard a rumor from another boat dealer that they are struggling financially which may be contributing to their reduced quality of service. No matter the reasons, I am one Grady White boat owner that will never return to this place.
Molly Ruggles: professional, knowledgeable, well organized.
Thomas MacDougall: I bought a boat from Baert Marine in March of 2018. I spoke to them for the first time at the boat show in Boston and began what was a quick, professional, and painless, negotiation. I took delivery in early May and have enjoyed the boat since. I scheduled my 20 hour service and it was as easy and professional as the negotiation and delivery process. My expectations have been exceeded every step of the way. Baert is a top notch operation from sales through service, they model responsible professionalism in every aspect of their business.
Thomas Jevon: very friendly salestaff, excellent selection of boats and rigid inflatables
