Planet Records: what do users think?
Joe Battaglia: Amazing CD selection. Mellow and thoughtful help.
Milo W. B.: Place was fantastic. Great selection of Cds, from obscure to well known, old to recent. The newer CDs were much cheaper than any other place I've seen, ones that came out this year were half as expensive as other places. They had some great stuff and it was an extremely fair price. Unique sorting and finding mechanism too, made it easy to look through. Very polite and helpful staff, overall a great place.
Rich Lane: In the world of disappearing vinyl shops these guys survive year after year. Great revolving selecting.
Len Wennerberg: Outstanding. Don't expect to find many bargains in here, BUT... the inventory is well curated, well organized, and most everything (vinyl and CD's) is VG+ or higher, so in the end the stuff is high quality and priced fairly. I buy mostly CD's from them (they are picky--- kept behind the counter and not a scratch or scuff on any of them) and every time I come in here, I walk out with EXACTLY what I was looking for (today- a TFF, a Metallica and two Flaming Lips CD's). Thanks guys! 👍
Jay Harris: Very neat and organized. Small shop but they have a lot of great records including rare bootlegs. They still write out receipts by hand and figure out tax with a calculator. Not a store for short people but I'm not short so the 5 stars remain.
Andrew Udden: VERY GOOD!!!!!!!
Aric Peterson: Friendly, helpful staff.
Ashley Aron: I love Planet Records! I was in the area and was exploring different stores for CDs, looking for a specific rock band and to no avail. Finally I came to Planet Records and I found what I was looking for almost instantly! I love the way they keep all the CDs organized by picture/booklet and instead keep the actual discs in the back, it allows you to look through everything so much more efficiently and keeps the discs out of harm's way too. I don't think any other record store I've been to so far has organized their discs in this way. Fair prices too!
Yvonne K: First time visiting and I am amazed at the great condition the used vinyl is in, also amazed about the depth of genres you can find. If you want it there's a good chance it's here. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Andrea Fajardo: Great variety of LPs. The 'New Arrivals' section is a trip!
Tristan Dame: I came across this store when searching for a place that buys used DVDs. Wicked chill store. They have new and old music, hard to find DVDs and a plethora of records. Although it's a small store, as I looked over many different titles and artists from past to present, the huge array of memories it brought up made me want to spend the day in there. The only suggestion I'd have is to share a space with a local coffee shop and add a little live music from local artists. But still a great local establishment with very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful employees.
Derek McDermott: Cool place
Brett J: I have been to this shop a few times now and I always leave with a result better than my expectations going in.. no other place does that for me in this area. This place is a diggers paradise - especially for jazz. Best jazz selection hands down.Everywhere you look in the shop there is something for sale. They have crates, vintage 45’s carry boxes, cds, vhs, tshirts, etc etc… Just go there. There’s a nice coffee shop nextdoor too.
Miguel Linhares: Good place for digging.
adam bass: Great for shop interesting selection
Francisco Lugo-Rodriguez: Great people, keeping the entertainment and nostalgia alive in Cambridge and all of New England!
Marie Matava: Nice variety.
Civil Ian: Great place!!! I've only visited twice, but I've been very impressed with great selection, prices, and staff. I'd certainly recommend making a stop here, and I can guarantee you won't leave disappointed
Eliel Sanchez Acevedo: I love this store! I found a like-new copy of Fringe on Blu-ray for a super accesible price. They also sell covers for your records in convenient amounts. They have a great variety of vinyl records, and lots of movies as well. Prices are fair.
Carl Miller: Love it, always a pleasure .Thank you Carl
S. C.: Great store. They have an amazing stock and the Vinyl and CD's are always in great shape and reasonably priced.

Stereo Jack's Records: what do users think?
Elizabeth Walsh: Great deals on CDs. Nice staff
Marianne grandmont: Great thanks again
Chris Berg: Just got back into my vinyl collection. Went here for the first time 1/12/23. Picked up a few lps. Stones sucking in the 70s. 7.99. Great price Went to two other shops one on mass ave Cambridge. The other Somerville in an ally. The first shop was 14.99. Wasn’t so cheap O. The second 12.99. For the same lp. I know condition is revenant. But outta these three shops. This place was the best. Just opened September. Next to Lindell’s bakery Christoper has a great attitude. Thanks for playing Jeff beck on the day after his death. I didn’t get the owners name but he had no problem playing a track off the stones lp that looked scratched but it wasn’t a deep scratch. Played it for me no issues. I bought it. He also played another blues lp so I could hear the quality. The “cheap” used record store gave me an attitude about playing a lp that was 34.99. I walked out on them This place has all my business now. Great new used lp vinyl store in Massachusetts. Worth the drive
Zach Z: Tons of great finds at totally solid prices. Nice staff, good location. Will be back again, and again…
Zac Zaremba: Great selection for a smaller shop, reasonable prices and nice staff. Will definitely be a go to spot for me.
Jonathan: Superb store and one that couldn't be owned & operated by nicer people!!!
David Nugent: Great store with a huge selection of vinyl. Owned and operated by great people!
Len Wennerberg: Thanks again for all the good stuff over the years, Jack. Enjoy your retirement!
Sheel Patel: Great little record store with some hidden gems. Amazing selection of cheaper vinyls (the $1 bins are always fun to rifle through), as well as jazz and vocal albums. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a $10, minimum for credit cards, so make sure to bring some cash.
Terry Baxter: Nicely organized, reasonable prices, COVID plexiglass between facing browser bins to protect customers.
Barry Hensley: Small, fun record store. Jazz section isn't very big but had some good finds.
Aric Peterson: Good place to shop.
Worth Wagers: The best record store in town.
M.J. C.: The real deal. Knowledge staff, great selection.
Darwinsom: Nice location. Store is small. If you like Jazz it's The place to shop & learn
T C: Cheap records friendly staff
Saurav Majumder: Great collection of records and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff!
rugg 1999: Okay selection, lots of records for a dollar apiece, also a lot of overpriced reprints of classic albums.
Roei Tzur: Great place! Great prices. Check out the 1$ section. Definitely the best record store in cambridge.
Marie Matava: Great stuff. Will get Pontey Bone and the Squeze Tones some day....
Chad Fetyko: Okay place, wish they had more old (used) than new. Still cool little store.

Blue Bag Records: what do users think?
Benjamin Wind: claims to buy records; first attempt clerk said the guy who buys them wasn’t in, 2nd attempt the clerk looks at my collection for all of 10 seconds before saying “pass.” id have been perfectly happy w/ few dollars in store credit and spent more than that on new records but guess not wth ?
Jack Ross: A very fun place to be. This place has the most unique selections with the best prices around. Highly recommend you stop by this place.
James Gatter: Best record store in the area!
Nat Tarbox: If you like reggae and/or soul, be prepared to spend money when you swing in here. Excellent collection of stuff I haven’t seen in any other shop around Boston, had a great time digging through it al.
Darrien Kennedy: Great place. Guy behind counter was really nice and helpful. Very limited selection, but the prices were good. I didn't find anything I was looking for unfortunately.
Alexander: I got no less than 20 records here for under $100 - hidden Gem. Will be back. Chris is fantastic.
Laura Houlette: The perfect record store: A fun browsing experience, food selection and very reasonable prices.
Charlotte CoonKitty: Cool spotNice cornahBack room must be pretty tight yoFloors pretty openSweet window.
PunkAndOtherStuff -: Great selection of records and prices and condition are top-notch, knowledgeable staff and spacious so you didn’t have to go too crazy squeezing in between crates. Visited here multiple times and always came out with at least a couple records. Also very inclusive and big catalogue of reggae, afrobeat, ska, traditional asian and various other world genres that aren’t particularly represented enough in Greater Boston area.
Timothy Lambert: Excellent place.
George Touloumes: Small, but good selection and affordable. Not much else to say!
Corey Adams: Best record store around
tony A: Cool store, nice folks. Found some good records there.
Scott Rule: Great selection and great prices. Take the time to head over and browse.
Peter G. Nelson Jr.: What a gem of a tiny store. Allow yourself time to dig!
D. C.: Pretty cool store with a wide selection of records. I was amazed at the reasonable prices. I got a near mint Hawaiian music record for same price as cup of coffee. Sounded really good on my new turntable. If you love records, this is a great place to linger and dig for gold ;-)
Max B: Cool shop with a lot of old records.
Liam: Amazing shop with very friendly and intelligent staff. Decently diverse music genres and great prices. They recently organized their 45s so that is another big plus! My second favorite record store in the Boston area right behind Armageddon. Good job Blue Bag!
Mike Wilkinson: Visit this record store. It is good.
Tom Guttmacher: Fantastic selection. Amazing stuff. A real treasure!
Mang The Goat: Great selection, fun hunting exerience.

In Your Ear Records: what do users think?
Jeff Moore: Great low cost used records
Nathan Libby: Prepare to go down the rabbit hole.
Anthony Gordon: Great selection with fair prices
Palmer Eldritch: Miss them being in Boston but IYE is still one of the very best music and ephemera shops in New England. Between the two shops you will find music and media pretty much available almost nowhere else. They are a crate digger's and treasure hunter's paradise. Justin, Chris, and Reed are especially awesome too!
candace charpentier: Great collection of music and very knowledgeable staff.
Vitor Bovo: I've been to this store some 3 year ago. It was awesome! Unfortunately, I came back today and found this note on the door. They have moved to a different location in RI. I have notified Google and suggest that the owner does the same.
Tom Sampson: Great selection. Lots of great live stuff
Pei-Han Hsin: Good selection but the staff (not sure if he is the owner or not) was could be friendlier
Ben Price: This is more like a SIX star store! Clean, open, large store tucked away near the water. We were vacationing near the area looking for record stores to purchase new and used CD's. We were not having much luck when on our way home we discovered a store in a beautiful little town called Warren, in RI.The owner/ Manager was incredibly friendly and engaging. He was knowledgeable, approachable and professional. My son found several CD's and much more! As we were cashing out, we were given a free tote bag along with a personal gift to my son. I thought it was touching and made our already great experience even better! I would recommend this record/CD/music store to all!! A++++++
Konstantinos Karaoglanis: By far the best record store in Boston
Oliver Narragansett: Awesome record store, tons of interesting old records, tapes, and media. Even random promo stuff as well. My only regret is finding out about this store only just now, wish I found out about this store sooner and that this location wasn't closing soon.
Brian McDonough: Place is awesome
Jennah Hyppolite: garage sale style with very little organization, definitely not accessible
John Ryan: Great assortment of records and CDs covering a range of genres and eras, as well as dvds, tapes, books and off kilter delights. Relaxed vibe, encouraging customers to peruse as long as they like.
Chantaya King: My kind of record store! There are plenty of records to dig through at In your Ear Records! The owner is friendly, welcoming and full of wisdom! It like a sea of records, but well organized.
Zackary Schnitzer: This place is the epitome of a hole in the wall shop. The records are excellent along with the friendly staff. This is always a great place to visit to so some record browsing while in Boston.
John Carbonaro: Was only there once. Found several small groupings of my interest: “Boston bands”( Flies, Volcano Suns…) Indie/Prog/Electronica ( 1st Interpol LP, Chrome 12” Magnetic Fields LP’s). Plenty of 90’s U.S. 45’s and some U.K. 45’s. Worth checking out.
Devin Petersennn: Can be a little intimidating at first, but the overall atmosphere and environment of the store is amazing. It is absolutely overflowing with records, musical equipment, everything you could think of. Owner and the employees are great, not even gonna mention the extremely cheap prices. 10/10
Joshua Lieder: I was just in your store Sunday 430 pm and watched in horror as the man at the cash register took off his mask and sneezed twice violently into the air and then put his mask back on. Is this how you treat your customers? Revolting and potentially unsafe. Disappointed as I had two jazz vocalist albums I wanted to buy....but wasn't sure I wanted to possibly die for. I had driven a long distance to your store too.
Crystal Gonzalez: Place was great 👍
Joe Blair: Massive selection and a Boston landmark.

Nuggets: what do users think?
Agus Oliver: Increíble la cantidad y variedad de música. Encontré a por lo que iba
Christian Slater: Cool store with lots of selection in records
Tim Horton: The guy behind the counter was nice, but the selection was awful. It feels like 90% of the vinyl in the store isn't for sale... Why is it there then?
Mike Manriquez: Helped me package my records so i can mail them safely, thank you!
Matt Cupan: It didn't look like they buy a whole lot. So their inventory is really stale. They want like $6 and up for what other stores would have that condition record in dollar bin. They got a bunch of cassettes, which is cool. But, at prices that are a little too high. They been around a while. And they used to be really good. But they gone stale.
Vincent: love this place!
CoolOne: This is the place, and Stuart Freedman is the man...it's really as simple as that.
Alex C: Not much of a selection (no heavy metal to speak of, for example), and not much appeared to be in good shape. A selection of tapes, some magazines,DVDs, and Blurays as well. Worth a stop in for crate diggers, though. You never know what you might find.
Paul W: Another 1 star review said the store is cluttered, which is true. That'd be forgivable if they had a decent selection and the prices were ok. They don't. The records they have are in bad shape but even if they were good, you probably wouldn't want them. Also, the prices are absurd for anything remotely desirable. Not worth the trip at all.
Colin M: Nice little joint
William Scopa: Get place
M H T: A lot of hidden gems here.
바샘: Rock, pop, country 등의 엘피 다량 보유. Classical과 Jazz는 양이 많지는 않다. 고가의 음반은 카운터에서 별도로 보관되는데, 반질이 좋은 편이라서 믿고 살만하다.
Michael Tanner: Unimpressive
Dan Alteri: Vinyl section isn’t very good, not my kind of store
Nicholas Manno: Not very well stocked, what they have is in not great condition, and overall I wasn’t very impressed. This is not worth going out of the way but if you’re nearby maybe pop in but don’t expect much.
E Hazen: Sorry to see that the stock of vinyl has dwindled to almost nothing. I guess they aren't acquiring anything new. It's rare that I leave a store empty-handed, but I couldn't find anything.
M: Love me some Nugs! CDs, cassettes, and vinyls galore. It’s a non-descript building & yes it’s dusty and slightly disorganized but honestly if you want a pristine store where you don’t have to rummage to find some treasures then just take your poser self to Urban Outfitters on Newbury. Wide selection of genres and a range of prices, from a few bucks to rare collectibles. I am glad to have discovered this place and will be back!
Eleanor Sanderson: I hate writing bad reviews but I wanna give a heads up to people. This store is cluttered and there is no music from before 1990 in the store. There was one person working there who never greeted me or acknowledged my presence even though I was the only one in the store. It is dark and did not play great music in the store. I am so sorry to the people who like or work for this store, but I wish I had seen a review like this before I went there and wasted my time.
Jeremy Wise: man i got so much good stuff here. cassette singles for less than $1. also they gave me a free shirt for spending $100+
Creed Hunter: A ton of old albums and the ones with actual vynal records are like 60 bucks. I was looking forward to listening to “baby on baby” on vynal but I guess that will have to wait.
