Blink Music: what do users think?
Casey Kroll: I reached out to Blink Music in March 2023, as I was interested in recording in their studio. Unfortunately, I found their team to be very unprofessional. The associate I communicated with over e-mail was a poor communicator and failed to follow up after I inquired. It was only after I called and talked to Tim that I was able to setup a meeting. I brushed that off, however, as a new employee or them simply having a bad day.To my surprise, Tim, the founder, was even more unprofessional. Shortly after meeting him in the studio, Tim began spouting conspiracy theories about vaccines and global politics. I felt very uncomfortable but focused my efforts on being polite. Tim mentioned that his marketing team had warned him about sharing these conspiracies, but he persisted nonetheless. I was ready to setup a recording session but was turned off by Tim’s unprofessional demeanour. Even worse, Tim e-mailed several paragraphs of conspiracy theories at 1 AM several days after we met.Unless you are willing to endure Tim’s alarming political views, I would suggest looking elsewhere for your recording needs.
Usana Pavidapha: World class studio! I was really impressed and enjoyed working with Tim and his professional engineer team. Their quality of production is top of the line. I would recommend this studio, very happy with Blink Music!
Derek Peplau: The facilities at Blink Music are first-rate, and the equipment is state of the art. The Blink staff were easy to work with and provided creative input when needed. A thoroughly enjoyable recording experience. Highly recommended.
Marshall Chadbourne: Seriously legitimate recording studio. The space is loaded with the highest quality gear and perfect ambiance. Blink clearly prioritizes perfection and careful consideration with each project. Gem of Boston!
Allen Metzger: It was not easy to find a videographer for my daughters memorial service. Blink was recommended to me and I could not have been more pleased. This is not their usual line of work, but not only did they produce an outstanding product, they did it in an incredibly sensitive way. Even family members commented on the sensitivity and professionalism of their work, and how they seemed more like participants than observers. I highly recommend them.
Jamal Fairbanks: The folks over at Blink Music studio are serious about sound, quality, and comfort. I went in to record 5 pieces for a solo piano album. The piano I used was one of the nicest pianos I've ever played, which I was prepared to be highly critical of. The quality of the recording came out great, and having Tim as the engineer made sure that I had everything I needed to be successful. The environment was friendly and I was able to both laugh, feel inspired, and work diligently. Highly recommended if you are looking for sonic excellence.
Benjamin Chan: I recorded two piano pieces at Blink Music, and Tim and Veronica were fantastic! The entire process was efficient, organized, and professional. The piano sounded beautiful, and the production, editing, and videography were all top notch. I really appreciated the fact that they walked me through each step and remained flexible post-recording. The finished product was excellent.
Stephen Ryerson: The best recording space I have experienced for my video productions. A very cool studio run by talented and experienced engineers! Results exceeded my expectations. Thank you.
Thea Hopkins: An excellent experience recording at Blink Music. Tim is an exceptional engineer and provides a supportive and relaxed environment for you as a musician. My voice has never sounded richer and Tim captured the warmth of my acoustic guitars perfectly. Veronica handled the camera work very adeptly and three videos were completed over the course of several days. Great attention to detail! I am extremely happy with results. Many thanks to Blink Music! Highly recommended:)
Mark Davies: I have coproduced a CD of my songs and instrumentals at Blink Music, and am very pleased with the results. Tim Lukas, owner, producer and chief engineer at this studio, is very talented musically and technically, and very dedicated to all the details of recording, mixing, and mastering of the music. It was a pleasure to work with him on this project.
James Terry: Blink Music has top notch people and top notch equipment. Tim, the owner and head engineer, is extremely accomplished in all aspects of the process. He is very professional and detail oriented. I got to experience the beautiful in-studio piano, which has a gorgeous sound. The studio itself is very nice and very well-equipped. I highly recommend working with this group.
Gerardo Diaz: These guys are great! I wanted a video playing the Uke for a project I've been working on and they guided me through every step of the way. I can't believe they made it sound so well and it looks fantastic. It also looks pretty good. Their equipment is top notch.Loved it.

Stereo Jack's Records: what do users think?
Elizabeth Walsh: Great deals on CDs. Nice staff
Marianne grandmont: Great thanks again
Chris Berg: Just got back into my vinyl collection. Went here for the first time 1/12/23. Picked up a few lps. Stones sucking in the 70s. 7.99. Great price Went to two other shops one on mass ave Cambridge. The other Somerville in an ally. The first shop was 14.99. Wasn’t so cheap O. The second 12.99. For the same lp. I know condition is revenant. But outta these three shops. This place was the best. Just opened September. Next to Lindell’s bakery Christoper has a great attitude. Thanks for playing Jeff beck on the day after his death. I didn’t get the owners name but he had no problem playing a track off the stones lp that looked scratched but it wasn’t a deep scratch. Played it for me no issues. I bought it. He also played another blues lp so I could hear the quality. The “cheap” used record store gave me an attitude about playing a lp that was 34.99. I walked out on them This place has all my business now. Great new used lp vinyl store in Massachusetts. Worth the drive
Zach Z: Tons of great finds at totally solid prices. Nice staff, good location. Will be back again, and again…
Zac Zaremba: Great selection for a smaller shop, reasonable prices and nice staff. Will definitely be a go to spot for me.
Jonathan: Superb store and one that couldn't be owned & operated by nicer people!!!
David Nugent: Great store with a huge selection of vinyl. Owned and operated by great people!
Len Wennerberg: Thanks again for all the good stuff over the years, Jack. Enjoy your retirement!
Sheel Patel: Great little record store with some hidden gems. Amazing selection of cheaper vinyls (the $1 bins are always fun to rifle through), as well as jazz and vocal albums. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a $10, minimum for credit cards, so make sure to bring some cash.
Terry Baxter: Nicely organized, reasonable prices, COVID plexiglass between facing browser bins to protect customers.
Barry Hensley: Small, fun record store. Jazz section isn't very big but had some good finds.
Aric Peterson: Good place to shop.
Worth Wagers: The best record store in town.
M.J. C.: The real deal. Knowledge staff, great selection.
Darwinsom: Nice location. Store is small. If you like Jazz it's The place to shop & learn
T C: Cheap records friendly staff
Saurav Majumder: Great collection of records and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff!
rugg 1999: Okay selection, lots of records for a dollar apiece, also a lot of overpriced reprints of classic albums.
Roei Tzur: Great place! Great prices. Check out the 1$ section. Definitely the best record store in cambridge.
Marie Matava: Great stuff. Will get Pontey Bone and the Squeze Tones some day....
Chad Fetyko: Okay place, wish they had more old (used) than new. Still cool little store.

Planet Records: what do users think?
Joe Battaglia: Amazing CD selection. Mellow and thoughtful help.
Milo W. B.: Place was fantastic. Great selection of Cds, from obscure to well known, old to recent. The newer CDs were much cheaper than any other place I've seen, ones that came out this year were half as expensive as other places. They had some great stuff and it was an extremely fair price. Unique sorting and finding mechanism too, made it easy to look through. Very polite and helpful staff, overall a great place.
Rich Lane: In the world of disappearing vinyl shops these guys survive year after year. Great revolving selecting.
Len Wennerberg: Outstanding. Don't expect to find many bargains in here, BUT... the inventory is well curated, well organized, and most everything (vinyl and CD's) is VG+ or higher, so in the end the stuff is high quality and priced fairly. I buy mostly CD's from them (they are picky--- kept behind the counter and not a scratch or scuff on any of them) and every time I come in here, I walk out with EXACTLY what I was looking for (today- a TFF, a Metallica and two Flaming Lips CD's). Thanks guys! 👍
Jay Harris: Very neat and organized. Small shop but they have a lot of great records including rare bootlegs. They still write out receipts by hand and figure out tax with a calculator. Not a store for short people but I'm not short so the 5 stars remain.
Andrew Udden: VERY GOOD!!!!!!!
Aric Peterson: Friendly, helpful staff.
Ashley Aron: I love Planet Records! I was in the area and was exploring different stores for CDs, looking for a specific rock band and to no avail. Finally I came to Planet Records and I found what I was looking for almost instantly! I love the way they keep all the CDs organized by picture/booklet and instead keep the actual discs in the back, it allows you to look through everything so much more efficiently and keeps the discs out of harm's way too. I don't think any other record store I've been to so far has organized their discs in this way. Fair prices too!
Yvonne K: First time visiting and I am amazed at the great condition the used vinyl is in, also amazed about the depth of genres you can find. If you want it there's a good chance it's here. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Andrea Fajardo: Great variety of LPs. The 'New Arrivals' section is a trip!
Tristan Dame: I came across this store when searching for a place that buys used DVDs. Wicked chill store. They have new and old music, hard to find DVDs and a plethora of records. Although it's a small store, as I looked over many different titles and artists from past to present, the huge array of memories it brought up made me want to spend the day in there. The only suggestion I'd have is to share a space with a local coffee shop and add a little live music from local artists. But still a great local establishment with very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful employees.
Derek McDermott: Cool place
Brett J: I have been to this shop a few times now and I always leave with a result better than my expectations going in.. no other place does that for me in this area. This place is a diggers paradise - especially for jazz. Best jazz selection hands down.Everywhere you look in the shop there is something for sale. They have crates, vintage 45’s carry boxes, cds, vhs, tshirts, etc etc… Just go there. There’s a nice coffee shop nextdoor too.
Miguel Linhares: Good place for digging.
adam bass: Great for shop interesting selection
Francisco Lugo-Rodriguez: Great people, keeping the entertainment and nostalgia alive in Cambridge and all of New England!
Marie Matava: Nice variety.
Civil Ian: Great place!!! I've only visited twice, but I've been very impressed with great selection, prices, and staff. I'd certainly recommend making a stop here, and I can guarantee you won't leave disappointed
Eliel Sanchez Acevedo: I love this store! I found a like-new copy of Fringe on Blu-ray for a super accesible price. They also sell covers for your records in convenient amounts. They have a great variety of vinyl records, and lots of movies as well. Prices are fair.
Carl Miller: Love it, always a pleasure .Thank you Carl
S. C.: Great store. They have an amazing stock and the Vinyl and CD's are always in great shape and reasonably priced.

Samantha Em: Went here for an event. The location and staff were awesome!

Josef Tallo: Loved it!

QCelloWorld: An amazing rehearsal place and very friendly staff.
Sam Diters: What an incredible find. Fully loaded jam rooms with full back lines (kit, amps, PA etc). Very clean and hip, which is rare for practice locations like this. For $15 an hr the value far outweighs the cost.
Brendan Walters: Very cool, place. Not my kinda place to walk to. Uber or drive. Great talent comming outta that place.
Michael McPherson: Amazing place for independent artists to experience label quality equipment.
Dave Jamrog: First time there recently and it’s really refreshing. Cool space to practice, record/mix a project or just chill out for awhile in a groovy art-space. Lots of gear to borrow/use.. still bring my own stuff but a wonderful level-up from the old-style, totally gross music space rental scene of yore. Thanks TRC!! I’ll be back soon..
Jacqueline Savageau: I just recorded I’m Studio and this place is fabulous. Absolutely top notch experience and my second time in a studio environment. Will definitely be coming back ❤️❤️‍🔥
Andres Echeverry: Amazing staff, tremendous spaces and gear!
Billy Mitchell: Super friendly and supportive staff!
Jeffrey Bowen: Love love love. Wish they had more larger rooms.
Gene Kelly: A real professional rehearsal facility that is clean, well lit, well organized and with well-sized rooms. Rooms have amps, mixers, mics, mic stands, drums, etc. plenty of parking too.
Kramer Gibson: Fantastic
Andy Zambrana: don’t usually write reviews, but this is one of the best studios/places i’ve ever been to. the staff are really kind and helpful, the equipment is great, and everything is clean. highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the boston area :)
Mona Hunter: Visiting with friends.
Ayan Chatterjee: Nice set up. Quality of amps and drum kits in the rehearsal rooms could be improved. I recommend this place for casual jamming sessions.
