Melody Cao: This ramen was amazing!!! I got the Spicy Miso ramen and it was delicious! It had so much flavour, the noodles were cooked to perfection, had no waiting time to get seated, food came quickly, presentation was great, and left feeling very full and satisfied! Usually ramen places give very little noodles and a lot of broth, but this one had great proportions and gave quite a bit of noodles, enough to make me full (which is rare). Overall, great ramen place to eat. Def would go again. Seating area is extremely limited though so there will probably be a line next time we go.
Z W: Unfortunately not worth a visit anymore. Used to be my favorite restaurant but a lot has changed since my last visit. All the menu prices have increased by about 30%, and the food has taken a big drop in quality. Katsu curry was $14.50 and the curry had zero vegetables, not even onions. Served with a huge mound of rice but barely enough curry to just dip the pork in. Char shiu in the ramen was overcooked, dry and tough. Broth was tasteless. It's such a shame, I miss how good the food used to be.
A moyao: チップ高い ラーメンと餃子まずい 行くことをお勧めしない
Liguo Su: Taste is good. Portion is standard to good. Coz I haven’t been to Hokkaido i couldn’t tell. Compared to other pork based soup it’s not very salty and presents chicken broth flavor. The noodle is machine made apparently but not bad. I will repeat.
Amrit Singh: Tamporo next door is 100x better
Emoney Flex: Not bad. Pretty authentic ramen, but the miso broth could be richer. A staple of Sapporo ramen is a thick and rich broth, so there is definitely room for improvement. Noodles were perfectly cooked and customer service was 10/10.

cat: I think they are here for over a decade and that tells everything. Ramen quality decreased a little over time, but still much better than most of the places in Boston.
Matt Dunne: I just FaceTimed with my friends who visited your establishment today. One of them was not that impressed, and commented that your eggs were grey around the yolk. I have seen this happen in the kitchen before, and can occur when eggs are overcooked due to a reaction between iron and sulphur from the egg. To please my friend in the future (who does want to return for your spicy miso ramen!) I recommend not over cooking your eggs. I also look forward to trying your ramen out too…but I might think twice about ordering it with an egg! 😅

The ramen is absolutely amazing! I wish they'd open more stores all over.Parking: Parking isn't too expensive since it's at the university.
JP: Been coming here for exactly 10 years! (Back when a bowl was $9) They haven’t changed and I love it. Spicy miso ramen is my favorite but also Sweet and Sour & House Ramen are amazing too. I hope they stay here forever. I haven’t found another ramen spot like this.

Anna D: The pho tai and green ice tea was just what i needed. warm, hearty, and flavorfull. friendly waitress as well
dEDa Deda: I wanted to give soup shack another shot after a lackluster experience at the Jamaica Plain location. The service at this Porter location was great and the place was clean. The Karage chicken was almost completely unseasoned. There was some chili powder on it but it was mild and flavorless. The pho itself had little flavor. They served the pho without sides so I had to ask for them. They brought out sprouts with one basil sprig and one lime slice, nothing else. I will say the beef was very tender and good quality. I didn't even eat the chicken it was so bad. Wouldn't go back

Alex Gamero Garrido: The food is great, maybe the best ramen in Greater Boston. However, the server would only engage with my White friend (I’m Latino). Don’t expect great service if you’re brown or black.

Evan Bourgault: Always great food. Took a friend from Japan here, and said it tasted just like back home.
Dan Peluso: Extremely friendly staff, and they have some great ramen deals / apps. My main gripe is, compared to other Boston ramen shops Santouka is a bit disappointing. The noodles specifically are very soggy, and the meat you get is less than other ramen shops. Solid broth though - be sure to add sriracha to the chasu pork rice dish to really take a trip to flavor town.

Raleigh Tomlinson: Vegetarian ramen was a bit underwelming. It had one small peice of tofu and a few mushrooms, but I really prefer more vegetables or at least an equal amount to what would be served in a meat dish. It was good, but very heavyweight on carbs and salt with no veggies to compliment. Still giving 3 stars because the broth and noodles were very tasty.I personally did not enjoy the ambiance. As a single person, you sit elbow to elbow at a big table with others. Luckily i had headphones to drown out the sound of slurping noodles while i waited for my food.
EV: I used to love this ramen place but the quality and service has gone down. The broth was really greasy, the egg was not softboiled, and the arugula I got for my ramen came on the side and it was dirty (white residue) so I couldn't use much of it but still paid for itFood: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Son Ngo: I have been here a couple of times already and this definitely is one of my favorite ramen shops in the city. The flavors have a good mix between traditional and unique taste. The Red Devil is definitely a thrill for spice lovers, while the Black Shoyu is subtly infused with a smokey flavor. Their appetizers are also delicious, especially the chicken karagee.
Sasha P: We ordered the black miso and shoyu soups as well as the spicy cucumber appetizer. A drink was also ordered but they didn't give it to us and we weren't charged for it. Cucumbers were fresh and we enjoyed that dish. The black miso noodle soup was all right. My shoyu noodle soup wasn't bad but the waiter forgot to substitute my corn fritter with extra veggies. Food wasn't remarkable
Christopher Hill: Not the friendliest of greetings. I almost felt like I was intruding when I walked in to make a carry out order.Asked for a menu, and was pointed to the sign on the door that instructs you to scan the QR code for the menu. I personally hate this new trend that all of these restaurants are going to with that.My order was ready on time, as promised. When I returned to pick it up, it was simply handed to me, and I walked off. There wasn’t even any gratitude for my business. The miso Ramen was pretty OK. It wasn’t remarkable, and it was unremarkable.

Sarah Lu: Waited about 15 minutes on a Wednesday night. Small ramen restaurant in Central square—Ramen was fresh and broth was quite good. Black shio and sig miso are both great menu items. Would come again, though not with a large group of friends due to limited seating. Service was okay (a bit on the slower side).
Derrick Au: Nice place to eat for a quick bite. Karaage (fried chicken 5 pieces), Pork Chashu Don, and Shoyu ramen. The food was okay...actually I had a craving for ramen these days, and I had my fill with today's order. It felt like drinking an entire bowl of grease.Ambience 3.5Food 3.5Service 3.5Value 3.5AFSV average 3.5 across the board!
Michael Silverstein: Amazing flavor
Jennifer Liang: Delicious shoyu Ramen and Chicken Karaage!
Bernhard Paus Græsdal: The Veggie Tan-Tan Men is great!
Thu Nguyen: Good food and good service. Definitely busy/popular place.
Ting H: I love the presentation of the ramen! 👍The corn fritter, a piece of lotus root and even some flavor foam on the top, give the ramen a great enhancement. Signature miso ramen and shoyu ramen were good. Red spicy shio and black shio were very good. And the yuzu cold noodle was the best! It was not on the menu. I think it was seasonal special. When we ordered it, the waiter said it’s last bowl. The yuzu flavor was so refreshing. Nothing better than a cold noodle in the hot summer day! Oh I love they put both roast pork (thin cut) and pork belly (thick) on the ramen. Roast pork was so tender even it’s not fatty
R K: I am appalled by how unfriendly the staff is here, especially when their website is all about being a nice family run business.

Menya Jiro Harvard: what do users think?
Amanda Wong: Bad Management and Poor customer service. We made reservation 1 week ahead, and when we arrived, the store manager didn’t know we are coming at all…Servers are not very friendly.Even though we waited, they said they are too busy to serve us after all, so we left unhappily. No one followed up afterwards.Very disappointed 😔
Junior Wu: Went on a Sunday for late lunch. Place was pretty dead because it was past the lunch hours. Definitely one of the better tasting Japanese ramens in Boston and surrounding areas. The broth is to die for. Server was quick to take down and put in the order but the food took a while to come out so taking one star off. Overall a great experience though.
rakesh dhawan: We went here for a Sunday evening dinner. Tried there spicy edamame (4/5) and spicy veggie miso ramen (3.5/5). I asked for some hot sauce as the original one wasn't that spicy. caroline: Just okay.Broth was decently flavored, cha siu was good, noodles were okay, and toppings are as you expect. These are noodle dishes that get by with a passing score. Nothing super special about the flavors and textures. They do fill you up and satisfy a ramen craving, but there are definitely better options out there. The calamari was also mediocre. Somehow came out cold and the calamari was not as soft as I would expect. I think the Ibusuki was the best dish on the table bc of its deeper flavors (of garlic) and better balance in textures.Service was questionable but the place is pretty clean and minimal.Overall consensus : meh. Just a one time visit.
Smiley Junction: Awesome ramen spot with great food. Busy but not packed. The portions are a little small (at least, in my opinion) but it tastes amazing. Isaac: Decent ramen at an okay price. Serving size was a bit smaller than I would've liked but given the neighborhood it was understandable. The soup is less greasy than Santouka and the noodles are wider/chewier. Also no wait on a Saturday whereas the line for Santouka was out the door - I'll happily stop by again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sakurajima Ramen …More
Anne F: Delicious! Great addition to Harvard square
Michael Loconto: Really great; happy to see a new location coming to Dedham. Get the spicy ramen
Bill Christian: Very flavorful noodle bowl
장예린: These food are not japanese food. This taste is not the real one. This is reallllyyyyy not worth it. You guys have to be improved. Know yourself please. The noodles were hard and sauce was too salty. Do not order especially Majesoba
Parnara Phom: What's more heartwarming than a nice bowl of steaming hot ramen on a cloudy day… NOTHING THAT'S WHAT! Menya Jiro is here to give you the warmth you need in the cool summer days.I started off with the Pork belly buns and Chicken Karaage. You know when people talk about a satisfying mouth feel? These pork belly buns, they have that. The soft texture of the bao bun and the melt in your mouth tender pork belly, these are so satisfying to bite into and you can taste the sweet honey and brown sugar glaze on them. Next is the Chicken Karaage, Crispy, good fried chicken. Nothing to write home about but you can’t go wrong with japanese fried chicken. For the Ramen I had gotten the Sakurajima which is a spicy mixed broth of both chicken and pork. It’s topped with deliciously tender slices of Cha shu, scallion, bean sprouts, and fried garlic. This… This was an excellent bowl of ramen. It wasn't too spicy and hit all the right flavors for me, the umami, salty, savory notes made me empty this bowl in record time. Next time I would definitely get an egg on the side with it.Recommendations: Pork belly buns, Sakurajima ramen with an egg on the side.
Rainer Glaser: Delicious. Have the spicy soup!

Bosso Ramen Tavern: what do users think?
Khoi Nguyen: Good ramen.
Beau Cote: First time we’ve been here and we’ll probably be back. Ramen was good and apps were good. Ramen felt like it needed a little more considering the price (it’s a tad expensive for how basic it is but the taste is top notch). We kinda wish is was either just ramen or just small plates. Atmosphere was busy. We got a nice corner table away from people but it was definitely very loud and it took away from the quality of the food a little. Overall we’ll be back but hopefully it won’t be as chaotic.
Tim D: My fiancée and I decided to give Bosso a try the other night and both of us had a very underwhelming experience. The broth here tasted like it was made from Boston tap water. We were hoping for authentic Japanese cuisine, it was disappointing to say the least. The quality does not match the pricing. I ordered sushi which was served as a nontraditional hand roll, and the texture of the rice was very squishy. The whole experience was just not worth the wait, I would not consider returning; there is better quality Japanese food experiences in Boston.
Haruka Yamashita: I’m Japanese, and I think Bosso has the best Ramen in Boston!! I love visiting here. My favorites are umami ramen, torotaku (sushi) and gyoza. Staffs are all very lovely and the services are excellent too
Anna Belle Harada: I recently dined at Bosso Ramen Tavern, and our experience quickly soured when we were served the wrong dish. We initially didn't make a big deal out of the mistake because the restaurant was very noisy. However, our server accused our table of lying about our order, despite our fluency in Japanese, and insisted that we had ordered the incorrect dish. Given the outrageous prices (+$50/person), coupled with the average quality of the food, we cannot recommend Bosso Ramen Tavern.
Riccardo Tripodi: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sarah Ander Shultz: Really tasty ramen spot!
Danielle Waldman: The only thing better than the noodles is the IMPECCABLE service from Yasu!!! I can't get enough of this place!
Tre Shockley: Tasty, but ramen portion sizes too small :(
Morgan Pratt: The portions were very small, had ingredients that clashed, and the atmosphere was very awkward. The vegan ramen had what tasted like chorizo and pickles and was very peppery. I could barely see anything and the cultural interpretation was a stretch.Dietary restrictions: They had vegan options but they were strange and expensive.
Gorgio Sac: The Best Ramen Ever 3
Adriana Azar: Original food. We enjoyed our dinner. However, even with a reservation, we still had to wait 30minFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carolyn Lu: Really interesting ramen. Really enjoyed the sanmi tomato flavored ramen.
C. G. Walker: Exceptional Ramen restaurant in a city full of a lot of competition. Cozy, fun intimate interior. Quality of the food is just exceptional. Be sure to try the smoked salmon potesala, it's to die for!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sara Modiano: Excellent noodles, unique tastes, warm atmosphere.
david we: Very nicely decorated restaurant. Stopped in for a late night dinner. We started with the beef and Uni hand roll and shrimp tempura roll. Then tried the Karami Ramen and a glass of umeshu plum wine. The ramen noodles are cooked perfectly and the broth very tasty.
yanni (Yanni): The ramen is authentic with some fusion elements in it. The broth is flavourful without heavily salted and seasoned. The owner is from the Boso Peninsula in Japan from what I heard from the staff.Highly recommend Sanmi Ramen if you like creamy tomato tonkotsu broth.Karami Ramen tastes like a Dan Dan Noodle inspired tonkotsu ramen, but it still taste good. The staff are super friendly and enthusiastic about ramen. Cozy atmosphere.A little bit pricey but the food quality justifies the price.
Tunc Oz: This place ruled the first month after they opened but the quality of the food has gone down substantially over time. Still it’s an a good vibe and the people are quite friendly.
Pol: Definitely not authentic Japanese food. It's just expensive fusion food with very small portion size.Food: Lunch menu is very limited--only Raman and "sushi" (not real sushi, more like onigiri) Raman is mediocre --salty, small portion, few ingredients and noddle is nothing close to amazing. The "sushi" is just big rice ball with tiny bit of topping.Other: it's much trouble just to pay the bill-- you have to register online with phone number +email + put in your credit card info...
anika balaconis: Lovely sake. Great hand sushi. Ramen noodles weren't the thick dense kind; they were the white thin kind.

N Neil: I was sick. Have been sick for over a month. Though it was the flu, and it ended up being some sort of bacterial infection. Then to add insult to injury I got food from a restaurant that will not be named and was chained to a toilet and my intestines could not get right.I got the simple soup from Nu Do' Society that was GF, some extra rice noodles, two fired eggs, and ginger tea, as well ginger ale in hopes of righting the ship. I finally felt like a person again after this very simple meal. The only negative was that I had a Canada Dry Ginger Ale from here that was really messed up and amber colored instead of the clear color it normally is, and tasted super off. Three sips and I had to pour it down the drain.I feel like the food came out quickly and they were accommodating.
Matt S: Yes it was enjoyable, thx
Baxter Demers: You order at a counter and clean up your table, but they change a compulsory 20% gratuity for parties of 5 or more for eat in. This would be totally understandable if it were a full service sit down restaurant, but it just makes no sense. The food here is great and I come here often because it’s close by.
