Formaggio Kitchen: what do users think?
Hunter Stillwell: Crazy good cheese
Alfred Greene: The food is great and the service is wonderful
Rich Miner: Amazing cheeses and other gourmet provisions.
Ignacio Perez: One of the best grocery stores in the Boston area, great produce, cheeses, charcuterie and anything you could think of
Jon Whitney: This is a comment on the tinned fish ***only***, for cheese Formaggio is iconic, but someone recommended I check them out for their tinned fish, and I was disappointed, bordering on insulted.Once again, for their cheese and other specialties they're legendary so this is only a jab on their tinned fish selection and prices.I enjoy tinned fish/seafood in the mornings to bring to work if I'm hungry for breakfast - eat it on crackers or toast - the tins are very portable, last long, and are far more enjoyable to me than eggs without the cholesterol. I'm always looking for more varieties, etc.The selection at Formaggio's was low (sure, there's probably not a lot of demand for it) and the prices were astoundingly high (I get it, Cambridge rents/taxes are way too high and the city only works for the super wealthy at this point). But you can drive to a Portuguese grocery store in Lowell or Fall River and find exponentially more variety, all at a cost of less than $5 each tin. Formaggio's had some that were over $15!I ended up buying a handful, just to see if the quality was any better than what I'm used to (Formaggio's prides themselves on being "premium" top-notch curated right?) but I was underwhelmed. If you're into exploring the delights of tinned fish/seafood, Formaggio's is not the place.
Paul Daws: Do you want some cheese to make your mouth thank you? A sandwich, intriguing snacks? Then just enter their house of delectables. I would have added a picture, but too late now
Amanda Judson: A wonderful place to shop that's local!
Jonathan Migdol: Great selection of cheeses. Fantastic place to send a special gift to friends and family.
Christian TQ: Has everything! Love the wine, cheese, bread, and charcuterie selection!! Could be a little pricey though.
Paul Everett: This place is amazing. Best cheese selection anywhere. All sorts of wonderful baked treats. Great place for gift buying.
Noe Ramos: Postres y quesos riquísimo
Nicolai Cauchy: Though larger, the new store is more crammed than was the old one, and less personable than was Fresh Pond Market. The prices are, well....Formaggio style, i.e. through the roof, but it is what meets their demand. I regret that the selection of cheeses from micro producers in Europe (especially France and Italy) seems to have dwindled (maybe Covid effect?) and that there is no discernible push for New England cheeses, as some found in VT and the Adirondacks. All that said, it's great to have the convenience and Ishan maintains a terrific quality of service among his staff. Thanks 🙏 and Peaceful Holiday Blessings to all 🥂💫
Monique Zipeto: Every specialty gourmet item you could imagine....and more.
Timothy Bucciarelli: There are a few places in the Boston area that have stood the test of time for good reason. Formaggio Kitchen is one of them. I've worked there and been a customer for many, many years. Yes, it can be expensive, but if you really care about the quality of the food you are buying and care about the service experience you have when purchasing, this is one of the only places to go. [Update] Still a joy to shop here! You might think cheese from elsewhere is good enough... But their selection and focus on quality (and knowledgeable staff) continues to set them apart. Still great. November/December are great months to go as they are putting out all of their holiday goodies!
Charles Lamb: Top shelf cheese selection. BBQ is excellent. Great selection of curated pantry items, produce, charcuterie. It’s a great place to go urban foraging.
Ben Garfield: Super friendly and helpful staff, incredible selection of cheese to choose from
Gre Nadine: Un très beau magasin bien achalandé et bien tenu. De nombreux produits de qualité. Personnel sympathique. Je recommande.
James Zelony: World class - a must see!
Franklin Gerechter: Top wine and cheese establishment
Soroush Vakhshoori: Good food but very expensive
Jonathan Che: Lovely store for fancy European stuff (meats, cheeses, breads, pastas, olive oils, canned and jarred items, etc.). Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. On Sundays they sell a delicious chicken sandwich as well as barbecue food in the summer.

Cardullo's Gourmet Shoppe: what do users think?
Andrew Thomson: Great sandwiches and imported foods and cookies. Always superb for a pic Nic or lunch
d greve: Food is good. Fresh bread. But it's hard to swallow after the rude treatment.
Adrian Perkowski: A cute little shop with a wide selection of beers and wine. The only reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of price. $20 for a 6 pack of beer is a little ridiculous. It’s a shame they are really taking advantage of location and convenience.
Alejandro López: Great market with good products. Perfect to buy a gift to take to a dinner. Most of it Italian, but it has many international products. The personal of the shop were really helpful and nice. Not cheap prices, but good quality.
Amadeus: Always an excellent store but today I tried their fresh cookies by the deli...SO good. They aren't just any boring cookies! You have to try the sandwich cookies with mocha cream in the middle.
Nhi Vo: Amazing selection of chocolate and snacks.
Isaias Rapan: The guy at the sandwich counter was super rude and unhelpful.
Elias D: Used to work here- excellent sandwiches for the prices. A wide variety of imported goods from England & Europe for gifts & nostalgia factor. Excellent selection of wines & cheeses. Old store & the crew works hard. Pet the store kitty Lil' Mister if you see him. Shout-out to Ricky if you're still there. OG crew with Scott.
Lucas Oliver: Nice deli with tasty sandwiches.
Martin Steyn: Came in for a lunchtime sandwich and was not disappointed. Bread was fresh, as was all the ingredients, and the sandwiches were quickly made to order. We can definitely recommend the chicken pesto sandwich or the avocado SLT.
Max Baxter: Love this place, and I'm not even a wine drinker. Incredible selection of chocolates and candies, great deli and sandwiches, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect location too, great for grabbing a sandwich and eating in the park. One nit pick is that it's pretty cramped, but it's absolutely worth the visit if you're near the area.
Juan Alfonso Solano Poveda: amazing sandwiches, too bad they took the cuban off the menú, that one was the best
Lance Li: Gourmet Italian family shop with sandwich table, wines, European snacks, and many other peculiar goods.Located at the heart of Harvard Square, very convenient and easy to locate. The store has many variety of wines, beers, and snacks. Most of snack brands are exotic and not easily found in supermarkets. Cool experience. We bought a chicken Parmesan sandwich and a roast beef reuben sandwich, very well made, the chicken and beef meat were extremely tender.Definitely recommended!
Janani Krishnan: I ordered the Stefano and it's so delicious - the ingredients are super fresh and beautifully assembled. Highly recommend!!
Audric strongestkarate: Sandwiches are decent and price reasonably considering its a tourist area.Lots of unique things to buy also.
Faisal Alghassab: Best deli spot around Harvard Sqaure. The cold sandwiches are phenomenal
M J: If I could give them a zero I would. Terrible sandwiches here. Tried 3 times and I will never go back. I asked for a Cobb wrap. The wrap was NOTHING but lettuce. Also ordered a chicken Parm grinder and what a joke. These ppl clearly make their money from unsuspecting tourists. Shame on this restaurant. The guy taking the order for the sandwiches HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. GOES ALONG WITH HIS WASTE OF MONEY FOOD
Kimberly J L Pitts: I love Cardullos! It is my Italian sub go to in my local area!Cardullos has a great selection of specialty foods and liquors
Austin Kautzer: Doors say open 9AM-9PM Monday - Saturday. Show up at 9:40AM on a Friday and they're closed.
Taylor Clarkson: Placed a catering order. Went to pick it up and they didn’t have the order and claimed I called the wrong location which I confirmed I didn’t. They then didn’t offer to remake food and didn’t care. Poorest customer service.
Silyane Larcher: This was my 3rd times at Cardullo's. The sandwiches were quite good for correct prices. But today, the California wrap was absolutely insulting for any customer who paid for eating : I had to look for the avocado in my sandwich... Only crumbs!!... Not sure I will go back....

Formaggio Kitchen Kendall: what do users think?
Jean Robinson: The selection of cheese was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable about the cheese they offer.
Diana Picariello: Gourmet galore! Fabulous meats, cheeses, wine and gourmet foods. Don't go here hungry and it's not cheap but great for a special occasion. Love the many gluten free options too (crackers breads ciders etc). Staff is always lovely and wants to help.

Foodie Traveler: Amazing addition to the neighborhood! Love their gazpacho and breads, and several quality prepared foods. it’s a foodie playground so make sure to visit.
Patrick McKenna: Great craft beer selection. Also has good deli that stocks hard to find cheese and meats. The freshly baked bread behind the counter is also a steal.
Colin Eckhoff: My favorite store in Cambridge. Wide variety of high-quality, gourmet Western cuisine ingredients from local US suppliers and European imports. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in discussing the needs of your kitchen. If you like to cook good food, this is the place. Just remember: with food, like many trades, you get what you pay for, so spend accordingly. It's worth it.
Riki A.H: Fun place & chill staff, I spent way too much here but In a good way
Ken Morton Jr: Great little market with a wide selection of quality items. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Ryan Sander: Delicious Italian food!
matt: Amazing selection of specialty imports. Delicious sandwiches, and kind people.
Robert Emery: I live up the block from this place and love coming here for their fresh bread. They get it from all the best bakers in the area. They also have the best selection of fine cheeses you'll find. During non pandemic times they will let you taste however many cheeses you'd like and help you find the right one for the mood.
Tolga Bolukbasi: Best grilled cheese sandwich and selection of authentic cheese in the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Suz Carter: Went in real quick for some wine for New Years - The best recommendations! So helpful! Was in and out real fast to allow the next folks in (this is during COVID). So appreciative of this gem !

Formaggio Kitchen Annex: what do users think?
Nick Anthony: Went here for a wine, chocolate, and cheese tasting. It was nothing but incredible. The food was delicious and the coordinators were engaging, informative, and eager to share their knowledge of cheese, wine, and chocolate. We had a blast and we’ll definitely be coming back.FYI: It’s hard to find (it’s a small little door on a warehouse), but the photo below should help a bit.
Brad: I came here for a cheese making class. The location is a little hard to find, it looks like storage units but then there is a place where they teach the class. I was excited to take the class but it wasn't really what I thought. You don't actually make the cheese, you watch 2 cheesemakers make the cheese. They were great but you are not involved at all, you can ask questions and they provide the printed recipe but they are not that detailed and you have to make your own notes if you wanted to replicate the recipe at home. I mean for $55 I got to watch someone else make cheese and take home the tiniest amount (Small than a golf ball). They do offer some wine but it's super limited, maybe you have less than 1 glass for the whole night, I know that is not the point but to me I just don't think the class was worth $55, you can just watch a youtube video and buy yourself a bottle of wine and you have the same experience.
Lee Movic: This is FK's off-site space (used for storage & mail order business) where most of the events are hosted (any of the "Queso Royale" battles or pairing classes; "Cave Tours" still take place at the Cambridge store. Their events rock. See their website for upcoming event details!

Savenor's Butcher Shop & Market: what do users think?
C S: The dry aged ribeye steak was phenomenal. Really hit the spot. One 1 1/2 in chunk was enough for 3 portions (with pasta), too! I'd definitely come again just for this.
Sean Germain: Best butcher in Boston. Excellent variety of high quality meat. My go to if I’m cooking for a special occasion.
Lindsey Coye: I worked with customer service this afternoon in regards to a gift certificate that was purchased months ago but not received (error on my end). They responded quickly, promptly and informative. Very pleased with the help I received and will be purchasing from them again.
hamburgdp: First visit today and am definitely coming back. The quality of the steak I bought was outstanding. Some of the best steak I’ve ever had outside a restaurant. Kind and helpful service.
Vanessa Phillips: I am so sad I didn't start coming here sooner! This place is adorable and all the staff have been outstandingly kind to me. They are very helpful in explaining their offerings and they also let me know they have different made to order foods (like this burger) for different days of the week. In addition to things you'd expect at a butcher's, they also carry ice cream, other snacks, and even mini laundry detergent. Would absolutely recommend, anything I've had from here has been delicious.
Joseph Rizzitiello: High-end butcher shop. Everything from Prime Cuts to exotic choices. Spices and more!
Honest Abe: Spendmor’s
Tom McManus: Phenomenal butcher shop. They have great customer service and the meat is always freshly cut. The butcher counter is much more complete than the one in Boston.
Christopher Schrock: Excellent service, with a smile, I felt like family! We are planning to cook short ribs tomorrow and wanted to find a butcher. I'd never been to one before so this was a new experience. Picked up some Bolognese Mix as I've been wanting to try it, cool that it's already mixed together so add noodles and sauce and bam you got dinner! Thank you all for being so kind and helpful today.
Jackie Levine: Wonderful local butcher. Wide selection of high quality beef, pork, lamb and more. Helpful staff. A pleasure to shop here.
William Sawyer: Great chicken wings. Jumbo size, fresh, wonderful taste after air fry.
Dean Dimizas: Excellent service and variety.
S M G: Great neighborhood Butcher Shop with a wide selection of meats and house made items to choose from.
Lizzy L-K: They have the best products and wonderful customer service. Since the pandemic we moved to middle of nowhere in Maine so I ordered a few nice things to be delivered. I had a few questions about delivery since we've had issues with UPS in our area and the person answering the emails was very prompt and helpful. What really amazed me was that they reached out concerned that the shipment was delayed, but that was only because that day we got like a foot of snow, but I thought it was very thoughtful of them to check in and that they were keeping an eye on it. I'm so excited about that cassoulet I'm making this weekend with their wonderful products. Of course I'll order again! Tip your butchers when you order, they do a wonderful job!
Frank Viggiano: Very nice butcher shop. Apparently it was Julia Child's butcher of choice.
Robert Godkin: Friendly staff, great products, go here for all your steaks and high end goods
Andrey Sh: What a terrible customer service experience... I placed an order to buy some food in Savenors on 12/26 for my celebration meal and I scheduled a pickup in Cambridge on 12/28. I specifically drove 25 miles to Savenors Cambridge to get my order on-time. When I arrived, I was shocked to see that the shop was closed! I can't believe they just decided to take a day off in the middle of the week and they didn't call me. So, I wasted 2.5 hours to drive to Savenors Cambridge and I'll spend another 2.5 hours tomorrow again (if they are open). If you have a special event, don't count on Savenors, they don't care - just order somewhere else unless you have a backup plan.
Myriam Michel: Pulled up to Savenor's on the day before Christmas Eve to get lamb shanks for Christmas dinner. In typical kiddos fashion, as soon as I pulled up to the shop, both my kids were in deep sleep. Feeling stuck, I sat in the car for a long time debating on what to do. I called Savenor's and explained to Chris, the butcher, my situation and he said "I can help!" He enthusiastically took my order and payment over the phone and brought out my order cheerfully saying "Merry Christmas to you!"AHH - I LOVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!Thank you and you've gained a new lifetime customer!
Vicky Baley: Great service and high quality local butcher!
Louise Tung: Helpful staff! The best marbled meat anywhere in the area.
Robby Thompson: Anchovy

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?
Belkacemi Mourad: Good
L Zsolnay: It's not one of the best Whole Foods, but the location is great. It is a bit small and doesn't sell alcohol. The one on River street is a lot better.
Sayed Mousawi: Other than pricing . It's all good
Darline Green: Despite its location this store rocks! Produce super fresh with a huge variety. Always food to test throughout the store. The bakery is out of this world. The staff is educated and willing to help. Lots of parking.
Colin Marcus: I've been going to this Whole Foods for years and it has gone downhill in a big way since Amazon bought it. If any health inspectors are reading our reviews - please visit this location! The vegetables are very old. As in, you buy some strawberries at 8pm, put them in the fridge, and the next morning they have molded. I've had this exact scenario happen FREQUENTLY with: strawberries, raspberries, figs, blackberries, and even blueberries. They sometimes sell spoiled meat. Like, slimy meat that smells like death. I've had this happen to me several times in the past 1-2 years. It's especially a problem with uncooked sausages and ground beef. At this point, I only buy vacuum-sealed meat packages from their freezer section. In a nutshell, it seems that they are desperate to never throw anything away even if it is expired - they don't care at all about quality. Which, considering the sky-high prices, is really insulting to the customers. These are long-standing problems and you'll find other reviews where people report the same issues.EDIT - I showed this review to my mom and she said "yeah I bought spoiled meat as well".
ANITA VARMA: Doing good. Bringing awareness about the importance of Fresh food.
APL Restoration: Nice place
Helen Paul: Wonderful experience
Tom Oscar Bjørnstad: Godt utvalg av dagligvare.
Christopher Audette: Meat department is very good friendly staff
Magali Bertolazzi Vezzaro: Large choix de produits.Note finale aussi élevée que le nombre de produits de qualité.Tout a un prix.😉
Ngoc Tran: The mango cake was really nice. Wish they have small portion so I can feel less guilty :)
Luis Polanco: De todo un poco, bien!!
Dan M: Parking can be crowded but surprisingly never had an issue. It’s a small store but the staff is generally friendly and no lines except for rush hour. I’ve had great friendly interactions with the cheese department. Wouldn’t go out of my way here though.
Its all Within: Needed a refund on a $3 carton of Soy Milk which went bad after 3 days. They wanted a receipt, "store policy." Unlike Trader Joe's and Shaw's, which will do it for you in an instant, they just trust you. Whereas Whole Foods wasted my time and that of the sales person and the snarky store manager, who said that he considered this a good use of his time. I can see the US losing ground to China because of policies and people like this. I'm a 20+ year Cambridge resident.
Alexandra A.: Great selection for a small store. Decent produce, deli and mini hot bar. Some of the best self checkouts too. Not finicky like a lot of other stores.
Nelson Hernandez: Love the butcher's department. Great service.
Rob Phippen: Excellent food on offer, and helpful staff. I asked about what cream to get, and got a great recommendation for cream from a local organic source, which also happened to be cheaper than the big name brand.
Chans View bomh1029: Awesome store, the best mashed potatoes in the world. Great employees!
oren A: A bit expensive

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?
Joseph Sarno: Good stuff
ALEX MESA: Fresh fruit
Thomas Haynes: Always good
Jonathan White: Usually very crowded with long lines. It shouldn’t be hard to add more self-checkout registers… This is simply disrespectful to your customers. If you get anything from the hot bar, it gets plain cold by the time you check out. Moreover, the cashiers are the slowest ones I have seen at a whole foods.
Russell Deyab: Clean covid free, friendly environment very nice employees prices are just right..overall beautiful store.
Chante: Good products and big store
I-Ching Chiu: 物美價廉新鮮
Husang Lee: It's a small whole foods with limited selection. Parking is ample at least
Elias D: Honestly I drive the 10 minutes to this one instead of the Brighton one within waking distance on weekends because I have the privilege of having a car. The reasons being: there is always ample parking, it is never as crowded, there is always more selection of food, they sell wine & beer, and they have a deli worker who really knows how to slice prosciutto well.Prices are typical of whole foods. The store is very clean and the staff always friendly & patient with folks. There are only about 3 self checkout machines here but the wait is never too long.
Kristin OConnor: Always has everything in stock I go for in the employees are especially helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
JGal: Thank u 2 employee named Sayeem! He was so kind 2 me when I goofy spilled meatballs in the self -checkout. Cleaned up & helped me bag my items 2 boot! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Zack Trapper Fey: Best whole foods in Cambridge
Dan M: Unfriendly staff but more so the store management in the grocery department. Only redeeming quality is its never too busy but I don’t understand why this is open with the Somerville and Central Sq stores so close.
Santiago.SE2gCB Brito: Todo es de primer nivel
vandeta ward: Good place to work
Yvan Pearson: The best kale
Treva Fitzgerald: Very fresh food and a very clean store. Everything we purchased was delicious!
Chef John Slattery: Great selection and service
Eoin Kenny: Quite a nice big store with a nice selection and not too pricey. I don't give it five stars because I just I'm not sure what a grocery store would have to do to earn that and I'm still waiting.
