New England Comics: what do users think?
andrew nickerson: Great service and I like the small store feel. It's super sad that this location is closing.
Jaime Roman: Update the page. I want to go off so bad on here that I drove 2 hours. For you to have a paper on the door that Sundays now closed. When I looked beforehand. Thank you for the waste of time.
Joseph Chow: They now sell trading card pages 5 for $1 or 1 for 25¢.
john jordan: Nice place, good selection.
Joseph Vendetti: Best comic shop around
James Reetzke: Very friendly staff!
Kaz Filus: The comics at this place are super well organized. Finding what you want is super easy. And the staff is super helpful if you aren't seeing what you're looking for.
Brian Rodrigues: Great store. Very helpful.
James Bacon: Warm welcome with a great stock of comics. This is one of the smaller NEC shops but it’s chockablock full of comics and ephemera. They have an excellent bargain GN section and overall I often find the more unexpected comic here.Hannah, in charge Today, was delightfully brilliant in her knowledge of comics and we spoke at length about Star Wars comics and of course I picked up some issues based on her recommendations. Such a friendly and positive experience.
Erin Ford: Wonderful and vast selection and very friendly staff. The woman who was behind the the counter when i was there was an absolute delight! She had read just about every graphic novel on the bookshelf and could give you a synopsis of any one you picked. She recommended this book and the author to me after i asked for a colorfully illustrated historical fiction with a cartoony art-style. Needless to say she was right and I couldn’t put this book down! Thank you to the cool lady with the lip piercing and to New England Comics! -Erin
Joseph Chaves: Very friendly staff. Helped me pick out a new series to read.
Olivier Discazeaux (Discaz): Great selection of comic books at a gentle price (They seems to often have salesor second hands books). One of the best in the neighborhood.
Alex Reganata: Lemme tell you about this place. The people here are extremely friendly - they will share their personal expertise and knowledge of the material with you in a heartbeat. Let them recommend something to you, and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
Josh Hensley: Small but knowledgeable
Marc Duby: Great selection, always good deals
Andy H.: Amazing
Bud Sims: Friendly staff and a great selection
Dan RK: Deeply knowledgeable staff, great selection, and a general feeling of being in the right place the comic lover.
Eric Cheung: Great local shop. This place was my go to for my weekly comics when I went to school in cambridge. Staff is great, and always stop by when I'm in town
Joe Mac The Car Guy: Best place to get comic books!
Chad Rankin: I love thid comic shop. Friendly service, they sell the lstest msgic the gathering cards as well as other trading card games, and are knowledgable on release dates of various items in their store. I highly recommend giving them a visit.

Newbury Comics: what do users think?
Kevin Morrison: BEST PLACE ON EARTH GO NOW!!!
M. Mazz: It’s a really good newbury comics. Location is great. I’m really sad that the garage will be closing, this, chameleon, and audio lab are basically the only remaining businesses. Once the garage closes for good, Harvard square as I knew it is dead.
Heather Noel: There was an event going to take place 9/2/22 where emails were sent out 8/23/22 to purchase tickets to attend the event for YUNGBLUD. His new self-titled album was set to be released the day of this event as well, however at midnight. The email said there was a signing & a performance. Either way I’d still buy them, but I’d feel more secure knowing what to expect, how to plan etc. My immediate family, whom I lovingly call, “The 6 Pack of Awesome-ness”, includes myself (ofc), my 28 yr old daughter & her son (my 4 yr old grandson), my 12 & 11 yr old daughters & my 7 yr old son all love & adore him beyond words. While in the process of buying our tickets, we called Newbury Comics to ask if in fact we’d meet him and he’d sign the album. We were told emphatically yes & that after everyone received theirs a performance would take place. Not much else was able to be answered for us. We had to act quick too, being that we were unsure of how quick tickets would sell. We couldn’t find out if we needed to purchase the cd or the pink vinyl. The vinyl was $20 or so more than cd. Many other necessary details were unable to be given to us. Ultimately we purchased 6 tickets, 4 for cds & 2 albums. We then kept checking different places online & calling off and on for any updates. Each time being told that yes everyone will meet & have signed their album then wait for the show. But we found out other details right up until the day of the event & we were all sitting there, 2nd in line waiting for what we were still unsure exactly was going to take place. We spoke to 3 people in total that worked there, starting from when we bought the tickets. We found out that there would be 2 separate shows, the 1st at 8 for whomever bought cds & the 2nd at 915 for vinyls. The most frustrating thing now was we were told when we called while trying to find parking, that the albums were already signed and that there would be a question and answer time somewhere during the show and anyone could raise their hands to ask something. But that was then also changed to everyone would stand in line that wanted to ask a question and u would go up to the mic when it was your turn to ask something. After staying overnight in our hotel patiently waiting to go to the show, then waiting from 1230pm til things started about 810pm, our hopes and excitement were constantly being tested and it was a roller coaster of emotions. Throughout 10 days leading up to the event the amount of misinformation we received, and the lies we were told are unthinkable, unfair, unethical, irresponsible, unprofessional, and just wrong. No question and answer type thing ended up even happening either. We all remained positive, no matter what, cos that’s the way I am & have raised my babies to be. We make the best of situations, as best we can sometimes, so for us all that day it still resulted in a memorable few days, as we all were able to attend both shows, we were all together front row only a couple feet away having the time of our lives singing, dancing, & listening to YUNGBLUD’s amazing voice belt out his new songs. Many times thru the shows he came over to us, and focusing on my 7 yr old son & 4 yr old grandson, playing the guitar, singing, & dancing w/them. Both shows were nothing short of what we always know YUNGBLUD to be, & that includes fookin mental, amazing, fun, exciting, happy +⬆️ !!!!So while it’s very wrong, in every way& for whatever reason, what Newbury Comics did & how they handled things, nothing got in the way of our beautiful mindset. What we set out to do was a success.I hope they will change their ways of doing business. To add a side not: even if lies were told, due to the fact that these workers didn’t know the answers to the questions being asked, it doesn’t change the fact that it was still a lie. For me I would’ve rather been told they were unsure because they weren’t given all the details or something to that effect. I hope this review will help someone in the future, if it ends up they are in a similar situation. BE FOOKIN HAPPY 🖤🖤
Yair Sanchez: The staff was really helpful and friendly.
Amber Laviolette: Going for show next week will update

Ry M: there’s so many good things here. i found some manga i’ve been wanting to read and a cute poster!
Michael Mackie: I like Newbury comics because they have a little bit of everything in accordance to DVDs, CDs and much more and they are number one
Alejandro Epelde Blanco: Good find.
Jack Friedman: Good store, friendly staff
Alejandro Nuñez-Jimenez: Somewhat hidden in the upper floor of The Garage, Newbury Comics offers a large selection of American comic magazines and albums, Manga, LPs, books, anime figures and all kinds of merchandise and much more. I personally loved to find some stranger retro-sci-fi stuff among the many DC and Marvel comics. Friendly staff. I will visit soon for the next issue.
Danny Ivester: They had a ton if Good records from all genres
Aydin Sengun: Great location, parking can be a bit tough when you're in the city, but that holds true for any place in Cambridge. The store has a decent selection of music (Primarily in the form of CDs), and while smaller than other locations, it's still worth a visit.
Dre Jean: LOVE this place super cool random stuff... new cassette tapes, crazy hair dye, fan faves, Funko pop
Matthew Marquez: Friendly and quick to help
MarLon Marin: This one still Rocks !!!!!!
Rick James: The employees follow you around with a rag & spray cleaner spraying everything constantly. Not a fun shopping experience.
Steven Anderson: Not like it used to be
john head: Love the store and the friendly staff. If you're looking for your next graphic novel, give them a try. They have a good selection and you don't risk getting damaged books like you do when you order online.
Leah Klein: Same as it ever was. The vibe stays the same the eras and messages that are cool just keep updating. Gifts for almost anyone- Manga, Vinyl, CDs, music
Dan: They had all kinds of things here, from comics to bored games.

The Million Year Picnic: what do users think?
Ianna Hawkins Owen: TONY RULES. I LOVE THIS SHOP. AHHHHH.
Radio OfHorror: Such a great classic old school style comic book store. The oldest in New England thanks for carrying Vlada. A Dracula Tale
Jordan Moore: A great selection of new and used comics and graphic novels. The store manager also went above and beyond to help me look for a niche collection of a comics from 1987 that I wanted to purchase as a gift. Really appreciated the extra help, as I know nothing about comics
RoadTrip NewEngland: Great old-school indie comic shop, that actually stocks lots of comics. The shelves are full of comics, the boxes on the shelves are full of comics and the displays are full of comics that have been collected into graphic novels. You’ll find tons of backlist here and old issues. The selection is great with tons of bestselling and cult favorite titles. The store is in the basement level under (approx) the Verizon store in Harvard Square. You’ll notice the window displays at ground level as you walk by.
Terato Marty: Everything from the big publishers down through indie titles to zines banged out on someone's home printer. Plus they sold my zine back in the day.
Gianna P: went in on a whim and was so pleasantly surprised!! amazing selection of comics and graphic novels for all ages and types. diverse range of comics too (especially in the indie section). the woman who was working there yesterday was such a joy to talk to as well, and very helpful! definitely recommend going here as opposed to some place like newbury comics, support a local black owned business!!
Loren Chen: Amazing and knowledgeable owner. More variety than your average comic book store. A must visit!
Michael A. Burstein: This is a great store for all your comic and graphic novel needs. They have everything and if they don’t they can get it for you. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Sandesh Joshi: Such an amazing book store. I wanted to visit it for a long time and finally was able to visit it. We entered the stored right around their closing time. I just wanted to take a look but they let us browse for some time. The collection they have is great and it was really difficult for us to get just few books as we wanted to get all of them. Definitely going to visit again.
Sula Gordon: Great place! The selection is amazing and the owner is the sweetest
Ember Heck: loved inching through the quiet stacks of comics here, so many treasures to discover
Anyenda Inyagwa: Tony is incredibly nice and provides a great customer experience. I can't recommend this place enough.
Lucy Backman: Just tell the staff what you're interested in and you'll have something new to read in your hands before you've finished your sentence. Love this place and the staff are awesome, everything they've recommended has been a new favorite. Great selection on manga, comics, and graphic novels.
Roy Hebert: Stellar service. Store was very responsive over email and phone; the entire process was a breeze. They were very willing to work out pickup vs. delivery options and had everything I was looking for in stock. Thanks, Picnic!
C M: A wonderful friendly local comic shop with a lot of heart and great staff. After COVID forced me to relocate out of state, they have been incredibly helpful in getting my subscriptions sent to me. Can't recommend them enough!
Devon: Wonderful experience buying books for a course. Tony is delightful and I am excited to come back just for fun.
Jordan: Great little store with a wide variety of titles.
diana macarthur: Lovely, informative, friendly staff!
Alexander Herlihy: Amazing books
James Bacon: Definite for comic fans. This comic shop is small for a US Store, but crikey, they fit in a lot. They have a huge stock and the guys at the desk know their stuff. I’d love them to expand (I know, it’s tough) and my most recent visit they seemed to be working hard to get more order on the back issue area. I found a bargain and was quite pleased. Always worth a visit.

ames forish: My son's and I just found this place and it is great! There is a large selection of pokemon cards and Tommy was very knowledgeable. Most importantly, if you do not want to have a membership to PSA or CGC (which we do not) for a fee, he can send them off for you. I recommend checking out Amaya Bros!
Maureen Tolman: Overall good service, especially kindness to customers and good priced items! There also is a variety of items to choose from.
Jeff Magni: Best comic book shop in town! Great selection, and the two hunks who run the shop are super helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a stop in and to support local small business!

Jorge Ortega: Amazing place good vibes nothing but awesomeness as soon as u walk in the door make sure to stop by!
Speeno 3000: Small shop, Google suggests this shop for magic the gathering but they have no selection for magic the gathering. More of a sports card shop.

Hub Comics: what do users think?
James Anderson: Went to the store, and was happy to see that still enforce a mask policy.
Committed Comics: Came to check out the store while in town for the comic show...only to turn around when I saw the sign on the door for masks. Seriously? Well they won't get my business
Benn Robbins: This is a fantastic comic shop and I love going here. An amazing selection, wonderfully polite and knowledgeable staff. Amazing selection. I highly recommend it.
Maximilian Schneider: Friendly stuff and nice collection.
Ryan Hare: Super clean and organized space with a great selection. The staff is also helpful and always ready to recommend titles.
Marine Azahisse: Been there for the first time today. Seems to have a great selection of comics/graphic novels and the owner was very helpful and friendly. He helped us find comic books for young kids and I saw great books for adults.I will definitely go again.
Radio OfHorror: Fantastic location love the new look of the place
Alejandro Garcia: Pros: the place is clean. Do not expect a lot of old comics, it's more modern. The variety is little but still good.Cons: Their customer service, I didn't feel welcomed. What I mean by that was, I didn't receive any sort of greeting or being told “hey if there is anything you need please let us know” the basic 101 knowledge of great customer service.Side Note:They do require masks in order to come to the store which is okay but they do have a sign that states to try and limit your time at the store for 15 min?, I didn't experience any type of pressure to leave the store but reading that might rub people the wrong way. If I were them I would suggest removing that because people will feel rushed and just become a non-enjoyable experience.I would suggest people to go to the store, you might find some pretty solid deals but personally “The Hub” is not my cup of tea.Still glad I was able to stop by and see the shop!
Carlos Saigos: Masks in this store are still required while masks are not required anywhere else. Slave mentality
Alyssa Bean: Favorite comic shop, great selection, fantastic folks who work there. As a cancer patient, I'm thrilled they still require masks and always look forward to my next visit.
Ben Benson: Such a wonderful store! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The fact that they still require masks is a huge plus for me - I love a store that ensures a safe and accessible environment. Great selection of books, ranging from Marvel & DC to indie publishers to local comic zines. Many other local shops can feel gatekeep-y, but Hub always feels welcoming and inclusive.
Aaron Mailhot: AMAZING selection and vibe/layout, and some good deals. Also a section devoted to local creators, which is awesome!!!
Christian Oliver: Great selection and friendly staff that have the knowledge.
Arran Victory: Great little comic book store with a good selection of well known and smaller local releases. Also sorts by genre, the best way to sort.
Evan: Ever since moving out of Union, I've greatly missed this comic shop. You've got amazing curators who are more than happy to help make any recommendations.
Conor Cara: Love this spot, small but great selection, nice and bright and organized. The people there were super nice and helpful in recommending things for me to read. I'll definitely be back for more.
Adam Maliski: Awkward environment, masks required and small selection. Refer to Comicazi right around the corner for a far greater selection of comic books, no masks and good vibes.
Ida Li: A lot of great comics. Some older. Some more recent. There's also the classic machine that spits out a ball! I cannot quite recall what it is called anymore.Location was easy to spot. There was a sign that did say you should wear a mask, limit of around 5 customers, and keep to 15 minutes in the store.Great spot to check out if you like comics!
Jack McGowan: This is the comic shop of the future. The selection of books, the layout of the store, the kind and engaging staff: everything comes together to make a beautiful and welcoming comic book store. I hope this place stays open for years!
Adaline Lining: Helpful and approachable with a great selection. Super friendly!
Dwight Sweeney: one of the better comic book store,in Boston.... internet access is avaible, also knowledgeable staff👍👍👍👍👍

Counterplay Comics, Collectibles & Cosplay: what do users think?
K-C x: Amazing store and amazing owners!! Eric & Amy are the best
J T: Cant say enough good things about this store. Eric has been amazing with my 10 yr old- answering his nonstop questions- with a smile, nonetheless! Helped us get hard to find manga, and getting started with RPGs.
Michael Foti: One of the first places I started playing MTG. I haven't been in a few years, but the owner was very friendly and remembered my face as I came in even just a second time. Their FNM's were small and casual, and they'd communicate with the community very well. Prices were fair, and I still fallow their Facebook page which has seem to grow, which excites me.I cannot speak to their current day (2/2/23) but it seems they've uphold the same standards and I support this local game store.
Richard Kerr: This comic book and collectable store (vinyl records, tabletop games, etc) is greater Boston's hidden gem.I was looking for a specific key back issue from the early 90s. Not only did they have it in great condition at a fantastic price, but they also had a bunch of others issues I had long term plans to purchase. Went in for 1 issue, came out with 7 - one of these I already owned in a far poorer condition than they had available.Well worth my time to visit, and hopefully yours.
Jeremy Harrington: Great and varied collection from vintage to new comics, card games, D&D, and awesome vintage GIJoe/Star wars/tons of other collectables
nic saints: Just bought some comics this past Saturday and Eric it’s a really great guy easy to deal and they huge selection of comics toys a little of everything for everyone the sad part I live in New York City and go up to Massachusetts once a month definitely stopping there to get more comics best comic shop in Massachusetts great staff.
P G: Great place, went for a prerelease, large store, friendly community, and the price was lower than competitors.
Matthew Cole: Very friendly, good selection of comics and collectibles. Bought some MtG cards.
Elizabeth Atwood: Great Store! Fantastic Prices. Something for Everyone.
Nils Heinonen: Great store, lots of comics, toys and games. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful! I have made this my regular shop to get my comics every week. Go and set up a pull list so you never miss an issue. They have a bunch of cool games, vintage toys and records too!
amanda russcol: I was trying to order a game for my nephew, but I'm in CO. I really wanted to support ax local business, and Counterplay was awesome to work with! Can't wait to visit when we're in town. :)
john jordan: Small store with lots of goodies. Staff was super nice, lots of gaming stuff as well
Angelo Gamarra (Xazerix): Great place for a casual gaming experience, and the owners are really nice! In terms of card games, they play Magic, Digimon, and Dragon Ball. Also, they have a Discord which is great if you have any questions or want to continue your conversations outside of the store.
Max Linskey: Hidden gem of Burlington! Comics, Manga, Board Games, Card Games, even Cosplay products, if you're into any of those things, you should stop by. Eric is the best!
Leslie Solano: Very organized, nice staff, plenty of options.
Rachel Robertson: Fun little shop, had a great gaming experience there and the owner was very welcoming! Already planning on returning.
Derek Sooley: Great deals
D-J WY: Great service. Love going here.
chris minor: Very cool shop with a great selection of vintage and modern toys, comics and records. I stopped by with my brother and we both agreed that this is easily one of the best stores of its' type in the area. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable too. The next time you're shopping in Burlington, go over to Counterplay and feel like a kid again!
Jeff Lane: Great store with a very friendly staff. There are really good deals here. They have toys, comics, records, and gaming items for sale. One of the most underrated stores around.
corey payne: Love this place! Great back issues! Good selection of new books and plenty of games and cards!

Comicopia: what do users think?
Patrick Willis: It was ok-ish for comic books not really a comic book hunting location. Price tags on comics books.... howerver 25 cents a comic is cool. If Graphic novels is more of your thing it has a lot to pick from. If you like to dig and hunt through boxes this isn't the place. The only comic book boxes are labeled staff only and you're not allowed to look in them which is weird.
Pitipat wongsittikan: Variety of comics both American and Manga.Great place to stop by.
Ryan Tessier: Fast and friendly, huge selection of comics, manga, trade paperbacks, hardcovers and more
Michael Andryuk: Comicopia is great! The staff are always friendly and helpful, willing to work with you to find in-stock products or ones available from their distributors. The selection is great, with trades, single issues, back issues, and plenty of manga.Recommended for locals and visitors to Boston.Update: Best comicbook shop in Boston!
quan nguyen: I like to pay a visit to comicopia every time I have a chance to. The staffs are nice, and they always have a great selection of new comics/mangas waiting for you each week in the back. One of my favorite place right now for manga, comic.
Janelly R: Talk about Manga heaven! Staff is so friendly and informative, always so helpful. Great location, i always enjoy coming here. They always help you find what you are looking for.
Aaron Gonzales: Cool place a nice inventory. Make sure to have a mask if you wanna go in
Harsh Parekh: Hole in the wall manga and comics store, they have some pretty niche stuff even amongst manga.
Adam Maliski: Not a terrible spot. Upon walking in, masks are required which is kind of silly. It's July of 2022. Comic selection was decent but fairly small. Other spots like Harrison's in Salem and Comicazi have far greater selection without the silly masks.
gabriel collado: I have been coming here for decades spending good money I never been so insulted just went in today with a bag of food and the owner with the glasses rudely ask for my bag I wonder does he do that to his white custermers ? Never again
Derek Viger: Place was small, but that's not a negative. Easy to browse. Had a great time looking around.
Ellie Roy: Such a good hidden gem in Boston. I actually worked here for a few months when I was in college right before the pandemic hit and I had to head back to my home state. From both an employee and a customer’s point of view, everyone here is absolutely lovely, and the selection is fantastic. Highly recommend. Hope Matt and the rest of the gang is doing well!
Bill Chimento: Best in Boston! Go there. Something for everyone!
Jen Gabriele: Soo many options. Staff was very knowledgeable.
Brad Wallace: Awesome little shop with a huge selection of Manga
Radames Delgado: Interesting shop you can spend hours checking comics and books. Manga, anime, Marvel, etc etc
J Brayshaw: Excuse me comicopia I Am extremely intirested in manga and I was wondering what volumes of one piece you have and how much you sell them for
brittany shelton: Got some sweet pokemom cards on my first try. Lots of books I couldn't find anywhere else. Super cozy. Truly a hidden gem
YH W: Great place for manga fans
Daniel Sallaku: Beautiful building
Melody Phu: Good discount deals if you buy multiple volumes.
