Luis Sandoval: Was there today to check their backpacks. One of them wasn't friendly at all which ultimately made me decide not to purchase the backpack I was hesitant to buy ($229 Topo Designs Travel bag 40l) On the good part, it made me look up the Facebook marketplace again and got something for $100. I mean thanks no thanks. Imagine losing $229 sale just because you couldn't have a friendly conversation haha.

Nathan Elchert: I placed an order for sale-priced cold-weather gear on their website, which qualified for free two-day shipping. A week later the package had not arrived. I emailed and received no response. I called and was told that my order had been automatically cancelled due to “a red flag.” (I had received no notification of the cancellation whatever.) I said I still wished to order the items and asked how to go about this. I was told to reorder the items in two orders rather than one, to reduce the total costs and avoid another red flag. I set about doing this but found that the sale pricing was no longer available on three of four items. I called to ask about the pricing and was told that the pricing I had received the first time was wrong due to a pricing glitch on their end, that they would not sell me the items at that price, and that they wouldn’t ship to me anyway, since packages are often stolen in my area. (I guess my area is NYC — they won’t ship to NYC?) This was a frustrating waste of time and I still don’t have the cold-weather gear I need for an upcoming trip.

I should first mention that I’m a huge advocate for local businesses but in no way is it acceptable for customers to be yelled at and run out of your store for wanting to try on a jacket. That’s not a business, that’s a sham.I came in to browse around, as I had passed by many times and been attracted to the variety of backpacks. While there I saw they had a jacket I was interested in and I had asked if I could try it on (it apparently was not in the showroom). The gentlemen at the register, who I can only presume as the owner considering that his customer service was absolute in no way someone you would want to hire to run your shop, immediately gave me a keen look of suspicion. To which I tried to dispelled with “it’s okay if you don’t, I just want to try it on to see if it’s right for me.”He abruptly says “SO YOU WANT TO TRY IT ON AND BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE?!?” I was stunned. In this awkward position, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said “it’s okay, don’t want to trouble you, don’t worry about.” I had thought he was joking, but he wasn’t. Moreover, he had the audacity to say “Yeah, I won’t worry about it.” I couldn’t help but feel so uncomfortable I hastily walked out.People looking to shop here, I can only advise that you take my experience for whatever it’s worth. I moved 3 blocks away from this store and had all the intentions of supporting a local business. I am mortified with the experience, perhaps he was having a bad day? I can only guess, but I hope for future customers he surely has less of them.

I placed the order online once I knew the product was available, however I ordered the wrong piece. After seeing the online order come through the sports etc. team caught it, remembered the conversation I had just had with them and then called me to see if it was a correct order or if I wanted them to fix it and send the right one. I think customer service like that is on another level! It saved us a ton of time receiving the wrong piece of equipment and then having to re-order and return the piece. excellent service!

Matthew Capobianco: Terrible customer experience. Little to no help with little experience. In order to sell a 200 shoe you need to have someone that can field the most basic questions which they lack completely.
Molly Pratt: Service in the shoe section was very poor. If there is no way for customers to grab sizes then there should be more than one person to help.

Chris Nackley: Be careful what you are buying. I got my pre workout here and had no clue it was expired. My mistake for going here to get it, but all the gnc and vitamin shops closed by me. Closest store, and they would not let me exchange the expired pre workout for a different one. 50$ down the drain. Scummy service provided when I called too. Tough look for the place.

The shoe department answered once but I was the wrong customer so they put me on hold just to get the operator. Spoke to two different managers. One told me that they couldn’t just see if they had size 13 and that he needed a brand. So I told him to check Under armour, Nike or Mizuno. Left on hold a few more minutes so I went online to see if they had it at this store which is what I should have done in the first place. I just wanted to see if they had any before I made the 24 minute trip over there but I didn’t know it would take 20 minutes to get no information at all. Maybe the shoe department was really busy that day. The only thing a store has is customer service over buying on Amazon.

He made calls to 3 different stores to find me this set, and when he finally found one, he made sure that it was held for me buy purchasing it in the store and I was able to pick it up later that evening in another store. Chris's customer service was top notch and I really appreciated the time he took and the effort put forth. Thanks Chris!!!

Pushkar Godkar: Don’t go here if you are looking to buy ice skating or hockey equipment. They are very poorly staffed and very lazy. The team is not as knowledgeable and will send you from person to person - complete waste of time.
Amit Jagdale: Nice big store. The store is well stocked with items for most major sports. If something isn't available in store, there are more options online. The store is clean, the staff is friendly and not too crowded. The location is convenient and plenty of parking is available very close to the store. Good to still have the option of looking at items first hand in the store rather than buys online. Overall, good experience.

Kate Vigour: I hate this place. The manager is such a jerk. I went with my kids to get ski equipment. Instead of helping us even after I told them I know nothing, a high schooler pointed to the skis. The manager came over many times to ask me to control my 3 year olds. Did he offer to help my daughter and me learn how to choose equipment? Nope. I told him if someone could help us, I could hold my 3yos hands. He told a high school employee to come over. The kid pointed to the skis again instead of moving and picking out some options for my daughter. I will travel 25 or 30 minutes every time to go to Stoneham or Dedham. I have tried 3 times to like place with a bad experience every single time.

Wankyu Lee: I really do want to like this place because of its local appeal. However, I should have read the reviews before going here. It's pretty much a similar story where I bought two used golf clubs and couldn't return them. I played with them exactly once and decided that it was not right for me. I went back to return them but they told me they were not suitable to be sold, even though they were the ones to sell these to me... Never going again. Please avoid.

Ashley Freeman: Terrible selection and service. There were several employees just standing around and ignoring customers. The boots were all disorganized and missing some sizes (but they didn't want to buy my trade-ins that were in much better shape than some of their offerings.) Go to Stoneham instead. They are nice and helpful there.I would give it one star compared to every other Play it Again Sports I've been to, but I've got to give 2 stars because it's better than buying kids new stuff just to toss in a landfill a few months later.
