Kellissa Paquette: Nate and his team are the best, most trustworthy mechanic/car repair team! After having some unfortunate situations with other mechanics in the area where I was definitely scammed, a friend recommended I go here and see Nate and his team, and I could not recommend them enough. They have always been so honest and respectful, and I truly feel like they are looking out for the customers best interest - For example, I brought a car in for repairs and was told it would be a lot of money to fix and that it might be best to put this money towards a new car purchase. At first I was willing to just spend the money to fix the car, but they then had an honest conversation with me that it would not be worth it for me and I would most likely have to put in a lot of extra money to maintain the vehicle, and encouraged me to take some time to think about it. They could have easily taken my money, and I am so grateful for their honesty, kindness and advice. Additionally, they have always been so flexible and go above and beyond - Nate even looked at a car I was looking at purchasing and gave me suggestions of what to ask the seller, and Robello (I hope I’m spelling his name correctly!) took the time to help me remove my ski rack!They are all so kind and the best there is!

Sees it was an easy fix and sends me on my way. Service station there has always been great as well. Please stop here if your by fresh pond and need gas or service.

Ann: Brought my old rattling car in for an inspection. They showed me that my timing belt was cracked and there was an oil leak. There was no pressure and they were very nice and fixed it all right then. The rattle is finally gone and my car runs like a top.
Jillian Casey: I just got an inspection here today. Everyone that worked here was really friendly and welcoming. The inspection was fast and efficient. The man who I spoke with after my inspection was super helpful. He explained that my car may need a new battery soon, but was not pushy about me getting it done that day or at their location. He gave me tips on the best battery to get and gave me options for where I could get it. He politely answered all of my questions. I will definitely be back to get my battery replaced and for future inspections :)

At least half of the pumps are broken on any given day.They also upcharge on inspection stickers, stating that they have to 'change a lightbulb' and giving you the higher bill without letting you dispute it. From other reviews here, it's clear that this happens regularly.

They charged .03 cent gas $30 snacks. It should be other way around. Now, my credit card company believes that I bought $30 of snacks and 3 cents of gas.

But in Winter being able to keep the glass clean is important and this station just doesn't seem to care. This is a low-cost, high value thing to do and if you have to be told, you're probably in the wrong business.

Lisa Labresh: I decided to write this review after yet another incredibly great experience here. I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop. I just had yet another car repaired here for a minor bumper issue. The owner painted the small piece of my bumper in the same day that I stopped by. It looks great and he only charged me $25. He made sure there was no further damage to the interior hood and didn't charge me for any of his labor. He also ordered me a part that was $50 cheaper than getting it from a dealer. I have had my last three cars serviced and repaired here many times over the past few years. Minor repairs, brakes, etc. Every repair has been done quickly and they always do a great job. They never do a repair without telling you how much it will cost, and they never try to get you to pay for unnecessary repairs. They are transparent about what actually needs to be done and they go out of their way to get you great deals on parts. The prices are incredibly reasonable and are MUCH cheaper than bringing your car to a dealer. The owner is also really nice and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, inexpensive repair shop.

Cacao Bean: Be wary of the guy working here. I've been to this gas station over the years in daytime. Yesterday was the first time I was there at night, past 9pm when it was empty, and the guy working, who had been normal in the past became aggressive and belligerent. He said my credit card didn't go through after the gas pump worked and filled up my tank. He asked if I have cash, which I didn't. He mumbled and seemed annoyed and told me to pay with another card. When I was checking the receipt and my credit card to make sure it was not charged, he ran back out to me, snatched the receipt from my hand and started yelling! He would not shut up about how I don't trust him- so weird- until I yelled at him very loudly that he is misbehaving and that I can check my card as I please. He finally stopped being aggressive but still followed me out after I paid inside, shouting that it's not him being shady but that it is my card. Why so defensive and aggressive. He probably declined my card to get cash. Never going back here again for anything. I would have called the police if he didn't go back in and left me alone. How dare he try to intimidate me, a woman, at night because nobody else is around. OH, and when I checked my receipt later, he had charged me a couple dollars more. Geesh!

Jade Dionna: Came in for a pre-insurance inspection, service was quick and friendly. Inspection took about 15 min and the report was sent via email immediately after.
Max Roseman: I went here for my CARCO pre-insurance inspection and they sent me to the office next door. The guy (presumably the owner?) took my keys and left. After a while, he comes back, puts his phone in my hands, and says "sign here". I ask politely what am I signing and he tells me to sign or I won't get the inspection I came for. The only thing I could read on the screen was "I verify all the above things are true" or similar, so I wanted to know what I was verifying - maybe it was my inspection report, maybe I was signing over my first born child. I tried looking at the above things, but he got irate and shouted to either sign it immediately or go somewhere else for my inspection. So I gathered my things and left. Not sure if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or is normally like this, but I wasn't ready to be yelled at when I came for a simple inspection.

Novas Atlas: We were trying to get air in our tire. We don’t know how to do this so we were reading on the box and it said you could check the pressure before you paid. We tried checking the pressure and then an employee came out and YELLED at us to pay, several times. He YELLED at us to put the money in several different rude ways. He was also watching as we “did” this so he would know we had paid. We don’t know how to use the machine so we asked if he would help us and he YELLED he would but that he already said that we needed to put the money in. He really wanted us to put the money in. He walked back inside and we drove to a different gas station. If we had paid he wouldn’t have helped us and it would have been a waste of money. We will NEVER go there again.

Michael Lynch: Crooks !!!! I specifically told the gentle man 4-4 times that would like to use my Stop & Shop Loyalty rewards at a savings of 40 cents a gallon. He told me over and over it would be good. After returning to the pump I noticed the price per gallon was the same price so went back to the cashier and told him that and he he said, later, later. Told me all set. At the end of pumping nothing happened so I went back to him and he told me nothing could happen , sale was complete! Don't go there!!!!

They could've explained to me what the associated cost was upfront but they did it unauthorized and charged me after, which completely ruined my experience here.
altamas kadawala: Would not recommend this place for either inspection or car repair. All this guys are trying to do is robe you. My car failed inspection because of having 2 back tires in bad conditions ( not so bad) but ok. They offer to change for new tire $100 for each tire and I refused and said give me Restricted sticker. And the guy started explaining that if I get pulled over my car would be towed away for not having tire replaced.( trying to scare me)and I said I have 14 days (found out it’s 60 days) to Fix it and still said no you will get towed. When I was about to leave he offered used tires for $55 each ( I cloud get new one for that price). I came back few days later with new tires found out that one of the bulb on license plate was not working. Only go here if you tryna get robed. You have been warned. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Arvind Gururajan: BEWARE of this place. Absolute Scammers and Cheaters.I took my car for a state inspection and required a change to my license plate. After a couple of minutes, the mechanic walked me around my car and showed me that he switched the plates but is going to fail the inspection because one of the light bulbs on top of the license plate was missing. Additionally he suggested that the car needed new breaks. I told him I had taken my car to Honda service center couple of weeks back and was informed the break threads are safe and don't need replacements right away. I explained this several times and declined I need any replacement and asked them to give me the report for the inspection.1.Inspection was failed for the missing one of the light bulb on the license plate, but not for the breaks. Clearly this was not mandatory criteria to fail despite the fact I was misled and was told that I needed to replace the break or else the inspection would be failed.2. I was informed I will be charged again for re-inspection (quoting "per law"), although per law if you reinspect at the same station within a certain time period, you cannot be charged.3. I was quoted $45 to replace light plus $25 for parts.I drove to a Honda dealership and picked up the parts. They quoted they can fix for $15. While they opened the back panel on the trunk, they noticed the entire socket was unscrewed and pushed inside. They screwed it back into place, showed me this could have been only removed by unscrewing it and not any other way. I returned the parts and the dealership didn't even charge me for their time.Was the 'missing' light socket removed when the license plates were replaced? I don't have proof, but based on the fact that light socket was manually removed, I can only point to this conclusion.I took the car back to Alewife Mobil and showed the mechanic that the light was fixed. Man, he seems so pissed, started shouting at me and repeatedly asked me why the car wasnt brought back. I can only suggest from his tone, that his dirty tricks were exposed.

Gahraman Gahramanov: We paid for a gas at the pump and filled the gas, then one worker came out and said that your payment didn't go through and you have to pay again. When we asked for a reason, he just said that, your bank will hold the money and started to talk very angry. Then the other worker,Anthony, came to us and explained everything, and said that after the storm, there could be a problem at the pump, so you could filled the gas, but payment didn't go through and apologized for inconvenience. The first guy, don't remember his name, still acting like it was our fault and we did something wrong and now taking his time.

As someone who has lived abroad, I understand the difficulties and challenges of language acquisition. However... there's a minimum level of English competency one needs in order to be responsible for answering the phone, especially to convey something as basic as whether a gas station has an air pump and whether it currently works.

Lizardo: Estuve la mañana de hoy a comprar un cafe y hechar combustibles, y por el simple hecho de bajarme un poco la mascarillas la joven que estaba atendiendo el mismo con una actitud inadecuada, poco profesional le falto darme una pela y para colmó cuando le reclamo que porque esa actitud me dijo que pague el café y no vuelva a la tienda el patan que le acompaña en vez de mediar o corregir hace lo mismos estoy seguro que los dueños de ese negocios no sabe el comportamiento de esos 2 pocos profesional tremendo servicios al cliente no pierdo hechos combustibles todos los dias y no vuelvo más a un establecimientos de speedy... ojalá y esté comentarios llegué al dueño porque si ese trato es común que pena... me perdieron cómo cliente

Steven Arsenault: I filled my car up and went in to just go pee and the dude there yells "bathrooms closed" it's 9pm nowhere near closing time. And he complains to me he's "been there since 5am" . OK I didn't make your schedule. I'm a paying customer. I could understand if I walked in 10:20 but that's an hour an a half away..

Russell Foxworthy: Wrote a review of this place 8 years ago that was somehow removed? Got a standard checkup on my Toyota. They said my brake fluid was leaking and that it would be $1000 to replace. I took the car to a second spot to get another opinion. They said there was no issue.It has now been 8 years and 70000+ miles and I never fixed this "leaking brake" fluid. Total scam operation.

Luke Hullinger: I went here for a state inspection after buying a new car, and I handed them my temporary plate and registration. They told me the total cost was $35, but when I went to pay for the inspection I was charged $45 because they "did an installation of my temporary plate." They knew this was going to cost extra when I asked for the price of the inspection and decided to suprise me with the cost when it was time to pay.

Sissy Klein: They will overcharge you, and scam you out of your money. We went in for an oil change and were told that our cars have issues. Then took them to the dealership where the dealership disagreed and cleared us. They will fail inspections to get more work. The gas is also a lot more expensive here. Do not recommend.

I use to go to this gas station very often but now I guess I’ll just go to the one across the street. They are 24hs, the people are much nicer and overall a better experience. It’s truly a shame.

Jon Daniell: Had an amazing experience here, a piece of protective plastic came loose when I hit a snow bank and was dragging and making a scraping noise. I have a Prius and my car is low to the ground so I couldn’t reach it myself. I was putting it off as long as possible because I was afraid to hear how much someone was going to charge to put me up on the lift to fix it. (Mainly because I know it’s an extremely simple process if you have the right equipment) I asked how much and I was greeted by the manager Oudy. He acknowledged that it is a simple fix and told me he would take care of it for free. I had never done any business here and was surprised at his generosity. I offered to pay several times and he literally would not accept my money!! Mechanics like this are like unicorns!!! Will definitely be back when I do need work done you can tell he is an honest guy and you don’t have to worry about being over charged or taken advantage of!! Amazing!!

Michael Hogan: Walked in to use the restroom and fill up an industrial van after driving in from out of state. Came from the Mobil across the street when the attendant was rude. Low and behold, so is this guy. Tells me to keep his bathroom clean, and make sure I flush. Needless to say I did - and then left without filling up. I guess the only way not to put a competitor with horrible service out of business is to match them. Won't be back.

Umar Shah: If you're in this area, you know a restroom is hard to come by let alone a CLEAN restroom but this place? They were so nice and let me use the restroom while I was in the area. It was well kept and so clean. I really appreciated their kindness and cleanliness. So much so, I had to leave this review. If you're in the area, drop by. They have air for your car and vaccum as well.
yen2go home: Hard to pull in and out of but hey - it's Memorial Drive so what do you expect ? I'm just glad I can get gas in a location between the Pike and sneaking down the back way thru Cambridge to get north of Boston. It works !
