L: Best family owned donut and breakfast spot in Boston! Husband and wife who own it are super friendly, warm, and inviting! Great selection of freshly baked donuts, large breakfast menu, drinks, lunch sandwiches. Eating in there are many tables and the ambiance is timeless and cute like a old-fashioned donut shot should feel. Favorite go-to weekend brunch! Affordable prices, fast and delicious!
Joe W: This used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots. The owner and staff were very kind before. The food is still decent, but the front staff is incredibly rude and mean spirited to customers. Have definitely seen customers decide to leave because of it. If you can survive the rudeness, the food is okay now.

Justus Marsden: I spent 6 days in Boston and every morning started with breakfast at Paulis. I can honestly say, my trip would have not been the same without the sunny atmosphere, delicious breakfast and wonderful location. Absolutely suggest you come here. My food suggestions would be a cream cheese bagel, combo #1 with spam hash, any doughnut (especially the Boston cream). Also, the small coffee is a large for us Europeans - so definitely don't order a large unless you plan on running the freedom trail!

Joe Robles: Not the friendliest place I visited. I understand this is Boston and they (Twin Donuts) encountered different walks of life. However, if a customer is being extra friendly towards you. It has to be reciprocated. Quite frankly not the best doughnuts I've consumed. Not impressed at all. I'm sure the breakfast was good. But, at this point my experience was ruined.
KX: Pro: Amazing donuts! Unbeatable price ( especially in this economy). A great "comfort" local place. The cook is one of the friendliest guy I have ever met!Con: The front register lady can come off as rude (which she is, sometimes). However, once you get used to her aloof personality it doesn't become as bad. Be prepared to know your order ASAP since she does gets impatient.

I like the fact that it is not too sweet, it's just the right amount of sugar so if you're looking for something sugar loaded, this place is not for you. The cheese danish I had this time was pleasant. I had the croissant, cheesecake, etc and they were all good.

Zakiya Fitzgerald: If I could give negative stars, I would. This location has the worst customer service I’ve experienced in years. It’s been 2 days and the situation has only escalated. At this point, I’ll never come back & I suggest no one comes to this location. They argue with customers over mistakes on their part and short change you on refunds. Absolutely unacceptable.

But there’s always a problem, it took 30 minutes for the line and my order to be completed. I wanted to pay cash but was told I could not, there was no sign stating that cash was not an option. This store is so inconsistent but it’s the closest on to my job.

Amy F: I don’t understand the bad reviews, maybe we just got lucky. Stopped in at 8:30pm right before closing. Young lady welcomed us as we came in. Donut selection was still good, got exactly what we were looking for. Not a big quantity of each kind but a good variety for end of night. The worker was very pleasant. Usually people can treat you poorly when you come in close to quitting time but our stop was very pleasant. We even sat for a few minutes and enjoyed our coffee (which was great, not burnt tasting or old) for a bit before leaving. As for the place being outdated….it was clean and comfortable. I remember the old dingy diner counter style Dunkin’s from the 90s….this place was nice. Whoever was working tonight should be complimented by management for a job well done.
