EVOO Restaurant: what do users think?
Silpa Das: We had a team dinner here..lovely cozy place in Cambridge..food was great..the salad was scrumptious..soup was great..half chicken was enormous..crisp blueberry ice cream was good..the staff was very warm and helpful!! Loved the dinner here..Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Stephen McDonough: Great 🍕 place
Lucy Loo: Food here is innovative and well prepared. They use nice fresh ingredients and rotate seafood offerings. The salads are spectacular.
Asan Muhammed: We can talk about Del Friscos (amazing customer service), Moo, or Abe and Louis and none of them compare to the garlic studded steak at Evoo. Its often undercooked, so get it butterflied if you want it medium well or well done. You cut into it and the whole cloves of garlic come falling out. Its simply incredible.
Dileepa Wijayanayake: Good pizza good foodFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Madeline Cortes: We used EVOO for our wedding rehearsal! We consider ourselves so fortunate to have discovered this restaurant on a Kendall Square food tour a few years ago. At the time that we booked, they were closing the restaurant on Friday evenings and sectioning off the areas for private events. Luckily, we were the only event in the restaurant the evening of our rehearsal dinner. Management’s communication was flawless and personal. The chef and their team assembled a delightful menu with seasonal dishes that highlighted the classic flavors of New England for our out-of-town guests. Even the vegetarians dined like royalty. And we loved that they included one of our engagement photos on the printed menu. They really made what would have been a small part of our wedding weekend into an intimate gathering of our closest friends and family. We plan to go back to celebrate our first anniversary in a place that has become so special to us.

Bing Jedi: A very fine restaurant sharing the same bar with the Za next door. Friendly and thoughtful serving staff (Eileen & Tristan). In close proximity to Charles river and steps away from the kayak launching site, the spacious outdoor tables are good place to hang out at all times. I have tried both lunch and dinner on different occasions and never got disappointed.
shelley: Before any more time goes by, I need to post an EVOO review. Last month my son and daughter-in-law hosted their rehearsal dinner at EVOO. The tasteful and pleasant private dining room was just the right size for the small reception of around twenty guests. The service was impeccable, the servers completely delightful. It was the perfect venue to begin the weekend festivities. Oh, the food: THE best beef tenderloin I’ve ever tasted. My husband felt exactly the same about his salmon. (Please believe me.)There can be a lot of nerves that need to settle down at the start of a weekend like this, with some family members meeting for the first time. The staff was excellent at making very happy campers of all of us. I cannot recommend EVOO highly enough.
Nir Melamoud: bread and bean paste in oil not great, salad was goodsalmon was ok, but i didn't like the risotto at all.extremely small dishcarrot cake wasn't great, but I'm not a fan to begin with.
Christophe Diot: very nice people (and service) and average food. wine far over-priced.
Dalia Ornelas: This place offers food with fresh and local ingredients. We tried the salmon, the hamburger and the pannacota. Everything was really good, we particularly enjoyed the hamburger and dessert. The staff was very nice but we waited for a while for our food to come.
Pratip Banerji: We went to EVOO for dinner on the night of their reopening. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and the service was absolutely amazing. It's nice to see this gem up and running again.
Maureen Meyer: A bit expensive but our meals were great and so was the service. For a Friday night we were surprised to walk in and see it was rather quiet. Kendall square may be busier doing the week? Not sure but it worked for us. Also, the restaurant was toasty warm on a cold night.
Justin Torre: Slow, also extrenely over priced. There is so much better food around the area. Dont waste your time
S T: Great service. Good place for business dinner. Simple menu for large groups.
Andy Milo: Very good food, with each course tastier than the last.
Shlomi Cohen-Ganor: The food was good but not great, didn't justify the cost IMO.
Ceri Callander: Lovely atmosphere, attentive service and really good food.

Henry French: Very, very slow service, even when we said we were in a rush from the beginning and were one of the only people in the resturant. Food was good when it arrived 45min after ordering. For the price, it was a bad experience.
Lauren Laracuente: Enjoyed dinner at Urban Hearth as part of a party of 5 and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We had the sweet potato dandies, ravioli cacio e pepe, halibut, duck, the chocolate sorbet and the chocolate mousse cake. Everything was incredible and cooked to perfection. Do not sleep on the biscuits!! They are large, so flaky, light, buttery, and delicious. The menu is a little on the pricey side but I highly recommend ordering a few items and sharing if you are with a group! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The only downside I would call out is the restaurant is very small, reservations are a must.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options although the menu also includes a lot of seafood and protein options too.Dietary restrictions: Staff were very accommodating with dietary restrictions!
Christina DeLago: Food: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 2/5More
Nathan Gallaher: A cozy gem in Cambridge. The flavors here are absolutely divine with a constantly updating menu, and perfectly prepared upscale food that is not overcomplicated. The restaurant is very small, so reservations are a must, but the online system is very smooth.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menu, and the flavors are rich and deep.Kid-friendliness: Definitely not a place to take kids.
Shawn Broderick: What a little gem in North Cambridge! Not sure how it escaped my radar for so many years, but gleeful we finally found it. Fantastic food. Great people. Check it out!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jerrod Perry: This cozy, quaint restaurant just down the road from Porter Square is unassuming and full of charm. It's a small open kitchen with a fantastic chef. It's a seasonal menu that made me swoon with every bite. Too good for Porter but I'm glad it's here!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Adrian Obleton: Sometimes you have a meal that reminds you that cooking is both an art and a scienceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Todd Ford: Exceeded expectations. Great flavors and execution. Ricotta was fantastic as was the perfect pork cheek. No pictures of my food because that’s tacky. Decent playlist. Lighting could be dimmed more for sure. Nicely done all around.
Camila Perez: We went last night for a date with my husband and it was the best experience ever! The food, the service, all the kind people that works there, the place, everything was outstanding. For sure we will be back as soon as possible because it is by far my fav place now ❤️
Anthony Maiorana: Magic. That’s the word I would use to describe my family’s experience here. We have a toddler and it’s pretty tough to find a good restaurant that we will like and he will as well, but everything we ordered our toddler loved and we did as well. Also, we randomly dropped by and they were able to seat us.The kitchen is tiny and the fact they can serve the amount of tables is astonishing given the outdoor seating. Our experience here was vegetarian and they elevated simple vegetables to just an extraordinary level. Our toddler ate Brussels sprouts. “Let that sink in.”Worth the money. Definitely go here. Expect about $60-75 per person.
Natasha Cham: Cute little place!
Mariam Yak: This was a first time for us sitting at a chef’s counter and watching all the liveliness of the kitchen! The service was impeccable, staff friendly, and delicious and varied tasting menu in an intimate setting. It was particularly cool watching the chefs plate the meals. Thank you to everyone for making our celebration so special and one to remember!
Rachel Roberts: Absolutely exquisite food and service. Every dish has multiple incredible flavors. Will come again…and again. Bravo.
Daisy Chow: Excellent food and service! We ate outdoors (hi Sophia, the feisty heat lamp!) on a perfect Tuesday evening. A friend suggested I eat here, and now I'll do the same for other friends.
katy carter: This is a gem of a place in North Cambridge. Cozy atmosphere, with friendly, attentive service. Creative, well-balanced menu offerings -- we look forward to trying the tasting menu in the future (advance reservations are required). Negatives: food came quite fast, and at times we felt rushed; the menu is very limited which perhaps isn't amenable to those with dietary restrictions. Giving 5 stars even with these minor flaws because our evening was truly a lovely experience and so much better than most Cambridge restaurants of this type.

Nicole Naumoff Hodgson: Great service ! And lots of good food.
Saud: I tried their burger. One of the worst I ever had.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Josiah Sinclair: Recommended dishes Burger, Crispy Pork BellyMore
Amir Tahmasebi: The menu seems very interesting but not all dishes are good. We tried kale salad which was good but pesto pasta was nothing special. The braised beef was also good but the smoked chocolate dessert was weird and disappointing. The prices are insane. It was good for one time try.Keep in mind parking is disaster around this place.
Winnie Zhang: I love this place!! My brother has always recommended Alden and Harlow to me, because they have rabbit on the menu. I’ve never tried rabbit but I definitely want to get it the next time I come here.I went to brunch with my friend here a couple weeks ago and the food was phenomenal. We got a french onion dip and the chips were so thin and airy (good thing to me lol), torched fruit (SO GOOD AND UNIQUE), french toast, and a steak tips (this was ok wouldn’t get again). All of their dishes are really unique, with different flavours blended together. Service was great. We wanted the donuts but I guess they overestimated the amount they had that day so we were able to have a complimentary cinnamon roll. Drinks were delicious.I put $50-100 per person bc it was just two people and we wanted to try multiple things.
Alexis Newman: Really delicious and unique dishes and drinks! We ordered a total of 5 dishes for 3 people and were certainly full by the end of it. The corn pancakes and basil pasta were the standout dishes of our night!Recommended dishes Pickled Corn Pancakes, Seared Bluefin Crudo …More

Cathal Harmon: Wasn't super impressed with the food or cocktail I chose but my companions were delighted with theirs. I'll have to give it a second chance to see if the other options are better

Ramit Bhalla: Where do I begin. I’ve been supremely impressed by this restaurant. The cocktails are very good. The service is outstanding. The food is amazing. The portions are small, keeping that in mind, we loved everything we ordered. It was tasteful, perfectly cooked, the texture was great and the presentation was excellent. If I had to pick something to say they could do better, I would pick the deserts. It was a little chewy and lacked the delicate flavors like the tapas were crafted. The pork belly wasn’t the best I’ve had but still a cut above. It lacked the melt in your mouth texture but was flavorful. This is a true gem the culinary disappointment called Boston.
Jacopo Movilli: Probably the best burger in Cambridge/Boston I have tried so far.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Classic Secret Burger, Burger …More

Alex Wurts: Tapas style, but very good food. I’ve gone with my wife a couple times and always enjoy it
Adam Perri: I went here for the five course wine pairing last Friday night and our waitress was amazing and so accommodating to an allergy we had. They redid the menu and Isaac the manager came by and was very attentive to us. The food was AMAZING and I highly recommend the wine / food option. Also this bottle of wine was fantastic!
Sam Anwar: Excellent food and service. Reasonable prices for the location, but most of the entrees are in very small portions, so if you're hungry, be prepared to ordered multiple plates. The one thing we did not appreciate is that even though we had a reservation for 5 people, we were seated on a long table that is shared with another party.
Alex Gammo: This is a really cool place with a twist on the typical restaurant style business. Their meals are smaller portions and meant to be shared. The waitress was very friendly and explained they recommend 3-4 dishes per person, which can get expensive. The food itself is all very good so you won't be disappointed if you go there with an open mind.
Victor Estrada: Two stars is for the disappointment of a place that is hyped for their burger and at 7:30pm they run out of it. Food was good but only if you are in the Cambridge area, not worth driving from downtown Boston. Had the brussels sprouts, local burrata, and roasted squash tagliatelle. Plus the smoked chocolate bread pudding and warm apple skillet, the latter much more recommended than the first.
Hamza Patel: Amazing service! From the minute we entered, a host gave my niece a colouring book to stay busy. The menu was explained very clear and the food came out in perfect order and in reasonable time. 4 adults shared 4 plates and we enjoyed every bite. One of the best New York strip steaks I’ve had eating in a restaurant. I will come back.

Puritan & Company: what do users think?
Joe Cabral: What an amazing addition to the Cambridge dining scene. Maybe the best new opening in years. The food, which is amazing, is only overshadowed by the impeccable service. I'm officially obsessed.
Ben Jams: A thoroughly pleasant and delicious dinner. Service was excellent and the ambiance was cordial and proper.Every dish I tried surprised me in it's own way with a unique flavor profile that satisfied just about every taste bud of mine. The oysters were sweet and creamy. The mushrooms were crunchy and bitter. The carrots had a nice acidic bite. The chowder was actually more lighter than I'm used to but then topped off with a savory bite of bacon. The pasta was my favorite with wonderful texture and nicely balanced sauce. Dessert was very decadentThe only downside is that our server recommended the carpaccio. It was a very one dimensional dish and lacked it's own personality which every other dish had.Food: 9/10Service: 9/10Vibes: 8/10Value: 4/10
Babak Momeni: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
E V: We tried to have dinner there but unfortunately were rudely turned away. We were told all tables are reserved and there is no availability. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case since it was 6pm on a Wednesday and the entire dinning area was empty for the exception of 1-2 tables. Most likely this was their reaction to my 2 school aged boys walking in first ahead of the adults. I would not recommend the place, no food is worth unfriendly service. Definitely not a family friendly place. So that evening we ended up in one of the nearby Portuguese restaurants, where were greeted warmly and the waiter was nice and friendly with everyone in the party, the kids included.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all. No kids allowed.
Nayara Leite: The dinner, service, and ambiance were great! We visited to celebrate my wife's birthday, and everything was perfect. All the drinks we tried were delicious: lion’s tail, indio skies, and vieux carre. The dishes we most liked were the carpaccio and seared scallops. We will come back to try the oyster bar.
Charles Law: The food is ok. Expect to order salad and vegetables separately because the portion sizes are small.I tried: pumpkin risotto, orecchiette (short rib ragout), duck confit cassoulet, cheesecake, toffee cake, and creme bruleePros:- Ingredients are fresh and high quality.- The cook tried to be creative with interesting ingredients.- Mixed drinks are good and the bartender was friendly.- The duck was good. The Baylee's Creme Brulee was good (not too sweet). The short rib pasta was okCons:- I did not care for any of the other dishes. They were bland or the flavors did not work together.- The basil oil on the cheesecake did not work with the other flavors and the gelatinous cake texture was just bad.- The waitress was obviously annoyed when we did not order appetizers or vegetables.I regret choosing this restaurant and will not return.
je pe: One of my favorite place around Inman square food is good and the cocktails are niceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Craig Mackiewicz: Great food, service and drinks. Waiter had excellent recommendations too.
Colin Maraganore: Absolutely incredible — if Boston did Michelin Stars (which they don’t), they’d have one. The ambiance, friendly staff, and relaxed vibe take this delicious and reasonably priced food to another level. A wine list full of oddities and variations is the cherry on top.If you have allergies, don’t panic. Call the restaurant the day of and let the host know which allergies you have. They will check with the chef to make sure it is doable, then the chef will personally modify anything he can to suit you. Not only is it modified, but it’s still delicious. It’s above and beyond.
Justin Mueller: Went here for Valentine's Day. The food was not undersalted. It was completely unsalted. Every supporting cast of side vegetables was bland. The cocktails tasted... weird? The steak was the right cook, but tough and clearly not cooked with enough butter. All of the salads were underdressed. Everything was too cold. The only thing that wasn't was the dinner rolls, which still took 40 minutes to arrive. You might think this is because of holiday crowding, but it really wasn't that crowded. The desserts were overly sweet and had odd, grainy textures. For the massive price tag, I was at least hoping for it to be edible.
Candace Adelberg: I can't believe I paid $18 for the fig and chevre toast, which used what seemed to use two small pre-sliced store bought sandwich bread slices. The little leaf salad was also disappointing. Overall the food is very overpriced for what you get. Great service though. And the desserts were actually quite good. For somewhere that charges a $150 reservation cancellation fee, I would have expected a better experience.
Andi Land: The food and the vibe were both excellent, but the portions were really small for the price. The service started out okay but then became pretty inattentive. Took 10 minutes to get a second drink order. Physically the restaurant is quite nice and I had no problem with parking. Overall it was a good experience but I wanted two entrees for the size of what they delivered for the price.
Alex Feyder: Awesome dinner. Had the tasting menu. Cannot say enough about the squid ink pasta w/lobster and the lamb. Everything course was fantastic
Joseph Badlissi: Excellent food. The rolls were to die for. Excellent Strip Steak and good salad. Worth visiting again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Michael Hannon: This place is awful and the staff was incredibly rude. The last time I visited, I tried to order a glass of wine with dinner and was asked for my ID. I am 38 years old, so I found this incredibly surprising. I gave them my valid Canadian ID, but they said they wanted to see a passport. Um, who goes out with their passport? I couldn't provide a passport, so they refused to let me order a glass a wine. I've lived in the US for 6 years and in that time I have always been able to order wine with a meal at a restaurant. Again, I am a 38 year old professor and don't exactly look like I'm 19. I understand why you might want extra proof for someone who looked younger, but the whole situation was so absurd and insulting, especially because I was there with my partner to celebrate some good news, that we decided to leave without ordering food. Go to Barcelona or Harvest instead.
Justin McCarthy: I attended a new years eve tasting menu with my significant other. A credit card was required to make the reservation in advance at a cost of $85 per person, with a required 20% gratuity. When we arrived at 9:05 for our 9pm reservation, we were asked to wait by the bar for an additional 10 minutes. This was foreshadowing for how the entire experience would go. The staff was friendly, polite, and added a redeeming quality. The food was tasty despite extremely small portions (6 pieces of gnocchi... come on man). We had opted for several items that required upcharge. The only upcharged item that was even remotely worth it was the seafood risotto. All in all, this experience was not worth the money or efforts. It may have been an off-night for Puritan & Company, but somehow I doubt that based on the other Google reviews...
Edward Fleming: Good food good drinks friendly people but let's be honest it's all about that bread
Ilya Yurchenko: Very mixed experience. Poor service from our waiter. He served me and extremely watered down and unpalatable espresso martini. When I asked for a different drink he said « what did you expect? ». This set a really bad tone for our experience here. He also took butter for our rolls away before we were done eating. Food itself was good, though overpriced. Carpaccio was tasty but small. Same for the buratta, could use more salt. Fusilli was really good! Rolls were delicious. Swordfish Reuben was tasty but too salty. Overall would try them again, but ideally with better service
Zach Moses: Small well crafted dishes that can get a bit pricey for a weeknight dinner, but the food is well worth the price. Cocktails were phenomenal. The vibe is cozy and slightly formal/upscale.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Korapin Srisom: Reservations is recommend but still possible to walk in.The staffs are nice helpful. We arrived without reservations but squeeze us in as soon as there is open table. We start with roasted carrot that come with lemon yogurt is go well together. The best dishes that we like New England Ciopino and Fusili.

Cloud & Spirits: what do users think?
Proddy Sukcharoen: American-Asian fusion cuisine located in Cambridge. Lowkey, cozy ambience. Our server was very attentive and nice. The dishes were creative in terms of the execution and presentation. However, I felt that the taste of the food was very bland and was way too expensive for the portions. I also initially expected something more flavorful since Asian cuisines typically highlight a lot on their spices and herbs😅🥪SALMON SANDO-YAKI: Grilled Salmon, Whipped Cheese, Furikake, Charbroiled, Takuan Sambal Relish🐔HAINAN CHICKEN ARANCINI: Roasted Chicken, Jasmine Rice, Ginger, Garlic, Mozzarella, Gochujang QP🍄MUSHROOM RAVIOLI: Fried Ravioli, Forest Mushroom Mix, Edamame Pesto Cream Sauce🍨MALTED CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM: Buttercream, Milo Malted Chocolate, Belgian White Chocolate

Molly Gross: An average experience. I thought the food was lackluster, we ordered almost the whole menu and only enjoyed the chicken arancini, mushroom ravioli, and the street noodles. The fried chickens were very rich and overall I just feel like there’s better small plates restaurants. The drinks were pretty tasty though - we enjoyed the matcha seasonal cocktail.
Jonathan Allen: Good food and drinks. Our server Michael was one good looking glass of water.

Bianca Young: Booked for the Valentine’s Day pre fixe meal which was a ticketed event and had a poor time. I think we paid close to $400 for two of us but nearly every course we received was lukewarm. We did drink pairings that were mostly good but , none of them came out at the same time with our course. We tried to be patient and understanding about the delay and the restaurant running behind but because we already paid and were starving we were stuck in the restaurant for over 4 hours waiting 30-60 mins between courses. Hoping this was a fluke bc of the pre fixe because we were excited to try the food and drinks.
Isoke Reid: I’m sorry but the food was terrible! I mean there is not one single thing on that menus that tasted good. We all ordered one thing each and the way i wanted my money back. I mean the food menu doesn’t even sound good. The food doesn’t even look good. The drinks was bitter and tart. Honestly very very annoyed at the experience. Sitting fright next to the bar and it took 30 minutes for a drink. The server kept ignoring our order directions. i.e drink the drinks before the food we asked her 3 times she brought the drinks with the food. Just for it all to be nasty!Kid-friendliness: NoParking: It’s Cambridge need i say more.Dietary restrictions: A lot of the food seems to be pre- ensemble i asked for no cheese they said it’s mixed in the ball.
Erick Flores: The welcoming was phenomenal due to the host seating my partner and I near a nice dim light so we can capture our evening with photos since I brought my instant camera. Very much appreciated. The set up and vibe was nice and mellow for a nice dinner date. I needed a pick me up so I went ahead and tried the banana espresso martini and it did not disappoint. Such a smooth taste on the taste buds. The courses were for sharing as this restaurant did their meals as tapas. So we ordered four different types we got the mushroom green salad, which was delicious for us mushroom and spinach fans. The sauce that came with it was a perfect blend. Then we tasted the Crudo which was fire kissed salmon with smoked creamy garlic, and this was by far one of my favourite dishes since it was a mix of cooked and raw. The top was kissed with a flamethrower to show its cooked portion. Following that we got the sesame white pepper chicken which was my partner’s favourite choice. It was a mix of crispy and tender when you bite into it. The white truffle blend was perfect with the peppers. And finally we topped it off with mushroom ravioli which was a perfect ending to the meal. Crispy ravioli but still soft enough to be a ravioli. My partner enjoyed it too and she’s not a mushroom fan so it speaks for itself. Overall the drink presentation with the fire on the lime on my mule was fun. This will definitely not be my last time there. I will come back to try more the plates and continue to admire the vibe it gives.
Tony Yassa: Such good food with good service. Live DJ was there on a Friday night. The bartender was nice and friendly. They also have a big tv on the bar if you want to watch the game with your friends. I had the crispy Buffalo chicken and it was fantastic. I will definitely go back.
