Christine Oliver: I have been meaning to write a review for AJ Spears Funeral Home for the last few months, but life has been so busy that I hadn't gotten around to it til now.Well, so many things that need to be said here and anything I write will not make justice to all the love and care my deceased loved one and my family have received.Tony Spears is an amazing soul and took care of everything from start to finish, including shipping the body to its final resting place overseas.Everything was done meticulously with love instilled in every detail.I was kept informed of every detail as the days progressed and they did a beautiful, honorable job taking care of my loved one and getting him ready.The service was beautiful and I felt free to do things in a way that honored my loved one's wishes.There was so much love, care and patience from parking til the moment everyone said their last goodbyes.Very respectful, very honorable, very human, from the phone calls, e-mails and texts til we met in person and beyond.Tony, once again, please accept my utmost gratitude on behalf of my whole family.You have been an angel sent from above. You went above and beyond everything expected and for it we are forever grateful.

Carolyn: Do not hire this guy! He is a terrible terrible person. He started a job in my house and then went to Nicaragua call a month and when he came back he would not answer his phone anymore. I sent him multiple text messages and phone messages. Thankfully I had a phone number for his partner who then told me he went to work in Vermont and you didn't know when he would be back. Of course this is all lies because he doesn't go anywhere without his phone, and also why did he answer the phone for his friend and not for me impact of all of thisHe is a really sleazy guy and she will take your money and not finish the job as he did for me.!

Fiory Nicole: My mother knew them personally yet don’t think great attention or care was given. Too many things went wrong. Soon as a check was cashed couldn’t get through or get a return phone call. Paul and Bob need to do better seem burnt out. They threw out her personal items but rudely offered to “dig her up for free” and grave has no marker weeks later.

Jie Wu: My father passed away in 2019 and I wanted to have a wake for him but didn't have a funeral home to do it. My husband suggested I have DeVito"s take care of this because he knew of their reputation for outstanding care to make sure everything went seamlessly at this very difficult time. He was right. Everyone who works there is so caring and kind. Jonathan is excellent as is the rest of the family involved in the process. Another sad event happened in 2021 as my brother passed away. Of course I had the wake at DeVito"s because of how they took care of my father. I also have to thank Elizabeth (I don't know if she is part of the family of she just works there) but she always keeps in touch to see how you are doing and let's you know she is there for you in your time of grief.

Akiana Fleurantin: Words cannot express the kindnesses, guidance, comfort and support the DeVito team has provided to me and my whole family during the hardest moments of our lives. In 2017, my grandfather passed and in 2019, my grandmother followed. We were broken, overwhelmed, unfamiliar with the process, and hosting hundreds for each funeral. From the first phone call after my mom died in the hospital they took care of everything with great kindness and dignity. At my request they hung a memory quilt I had made my mom and it meant so much to all our friends and family to be able to look at it and enjoy all the memories. They made the process of planning a funeral in only 2 days simple and easy to choose everything we wanted both in readings and in songs. Sheila Hickey is a gift from God in her sincerity and caring attitude. I highly suggest this wonderful group to help you through the loss of a loved one.
