Then I found Glass & Mirror this company in Somerville. And I contacted them. It is absolute right place to ask for help. The staffs reply promptly, confirmed the appointment very quick. The technician came on time, very professional, and with very reasonable charge fee. Overall, this company has excellent service! 100 % recommend. Very responsible, reply promptly. Reasonable fee and professional.
Nick Cyr: The scheduling was an absolute nightmare. The office changed the day and time which was fine, the day before installation the office called and changed the time again. The installers then called and said they got done with their emergency job earlier than expected asked if they could come in 30 mins I said fine no problem, moved my schedule around and then 45 mins later they called back and said the office had another emergency for them to do immediately. Very unprofessional I would not recommend using this company.

Jessica Mantia: Best customer service!! My grandparents ordered a screen, I don’t know if the measurements were relayed or written down incorrectly but it didn’t fit.. One phone call later I got a call back from a woman who told me to come back in a few days to pick up the correctly measured screen. Never have I ever been contacted back from a store to correct an order, they truly care about their customers!
Mairead: Wonderful customer service!!! They replaced a small pane of glass in one of our French doors so well that my husband didn’t even know where the old glass was broken. It was a very tricky piece of glass to replace as the door was very old and the wood surrounding it too. Very impressed!! They also replaced a glass door in a bathroom cabinet with mirrors so I won’t see the stuff inside. The cabinet looks so much better now. The price was also excellent will be a returning customer and would recommend to all my fiends.

Dropped it off on Friday of a holiday weekend and was ready to pick it up first thing Wednesday morning. Where other companies were quoting upwards of $500, Hub Glass fixed my problem far below budget.I should also note that this work was completed in the covid-19 era. Their staff took the upmost care and precautions during our transaction - masks, gloves, call from the parking lot. I highly recommend Hub Glass Services!

Rachel Weiss: Professional, great communication, and everything on time. I needed the glass in a window replaced, and this company was responsive to email and phone, the estimator and installer both arrived on time or early, were very knowledgeable and experienced. The cost was a little higher than others who provided estimates, but it was worth it for this level of service and a quality product.
Schuyler Larrabee: They did a tiny custom piece of bevelled glass and installed it in the clock's case. Beautiful professional work, executed with evident pride.
Linda Gennari: This is the second time my boyfriend and I have dropped off a window sash for the glass to be replaced, both times we were given a turn-around time of 2-weeks, after 3 weeks without hearing from Commonwealth Glass we called them... The first time we dropped of a window for repair it was during Covid, everything was taking longer than usually. The 2nd time, CG said the window pane arrived with the wrong measurements...it would take an additional 2-weeks to re-order. No customer service calls to inform of the delay[s]. After waiting an additional 2-weeks without hearing from CG I called again to inquire about my window...The woman who answered the phone was abrasive and dismissive in her tone...reminding me that it's takes 2-weeks, and there was a mix-up...it came in with the wrong measurements ...it was not their fault...I reminded her I was told all that over 2-weeks ago. The woman said she would check on my window and call me back, after waiting 2-days I called CG again, this time a man answered, he said he needed to check the status of my window, he would call me back in 5-minutes. I didn't hear back from him. The following day I called again and spoke with the woman, she located my window telling me she would bring it to the front of their shop to have the glass installed. The following day I received a call saying my window was ready....Same day, I picked-up my window and while the glass was nice and clean the vinyl frame was a mess with goo and black marks all over the exterior frame. [This is a sidelight window, the long vertical window that goes on either side of a front door entrance.] I picked up the window frame and asked the woman and man who were sitting behind the desk what happened to my window frame, it's a mess? I presume the woman behind the desk is the same woman I spoke with on the phone...she said, That's the way it came in, we don't do anything to the frames. I stressed the fact that this window frame with black marks and goo, on the exterior-facing-side, is a paired sidelight window, I DID NOT bring my window frame in with all these black marks and goo on it! The frame was was unsightly, I was taken aback that a professional glass company would return a window to a customer without cleaning its frame...and then to insinuate that it arrived like that! The woman was not present when I dropped off the sidelight frame to replace the pane. The man behind the counter was the person I dropped it off with, he promptly got up and said he would have it cleaned for me...while she continued telling me they are not responsible for window frames, they have nothing to do with the frames, they just insert the glass.... I waited outside while they used a solvent to remove the marks on my window frame. We own rental property in Watertown and Cambridge, I did not appreciate my experience dealing with this woman, the next time I need a window sash repaired I will look else where.
John Denison: I ordered a large custom size piece of insulated tempered safety glass to reglaze an existing Andersen roof window. It arrived when promised and was made to my exact measurements. The two sales people at the counter are real veterans and know their business. A professional hassle free experience. Commonwealth is a pleasure to deal with.

Sam Grigorian: There is no service. For simple things you have to go back multiple time, because they give you time frame for completion of the order, but never keep the promisses.

Michael Thomas: Placed an order for replacement Garage window glass for my Mothers garage. Woman at desk took name / number. Had no details of when it would come in, did not ask for payment info, etc. Never heard from them again. I had this same thing happen maybe 10 years ago and FINALLY went back to try again. They are not interested I guess. Pro Tip: If you just need some glass for a Garage, etc. then Ace Hardware will do it. I finally went there and it was done same day.
Sally Bowie: I had the misfortune to walk into the glass slider in our kitchen one evening. The slider was an old one and the glass was not safety glass. It broke into huge shards of heavy glass. Our beloved and trusted contractor recommended Wallex Glass and Alex arrived the very next morning to assess the work. He and Chris finished the job by early afternoon. Not only were they highly skilled, creative in their approach to a unique and outdated replacement task, but they were kind and compassionate (and humorous) gentlemen in the process. Stephanie Mitchell: I am a Realtor and had a seller with three broken seal windows in need of repair to satisfy the requirements of the buyers of the home. At the time, this was the last thing my clients needed to deal with. I ordered two glass replacement windows (they were under warranty), of which one of the windows came in the window frame. Another window was off the garage and and I hired Wallex to order and install that glass.After two weeks of warranty documentation (original payment, supplier, installer, etc. from 2007), eleven weeks later the windows arrived. 11 weeks! It was too late to be completed by the home sale closing so the closing attorney required that we put down a large sum of money to guarantee the installations would be completed. I then added the warrantied windows to the garage window order.Wallex's technician came out to the home the day of hire to look at all three existing windows. After the warrantied windows arrived from the manufacturer, Wallex stated they had a cancellation and completed the repairs at 9:00 the next morning. WOW! The install was done quickly, well and flawlessly.Stacie, the Office Manager, tracked the whole order and coordinated the installation with the new owners and her staff. If you need glass work done, GO TO WALLEX! You will not regret it. They are kind, honest, professional and zero drama. Their work is superior and they can be trusted!

Not only did he give us great advice on how to ensure our framing was prepared properly for a seamless installation, but he also advised us on how to properly tile the shower to avoid extra notches in the glass which saved us money in the long-run. They are super professional, very easy to communicate with, scheduled measuring and installation promptly and the end result is a gorgeous shower that is exactly what I had envisioned and hoped for.

Upon arriving, was greeted by owner, who seemed like a very nice guy and was very cordial (which is reason 1 of 2 why I gave him a rating of 2 stars instead of 1 star).He told me he would be done with job in 1 or 2 days because he already had glass in his shop. almost 2 weeks later, I called him, and asked if window was done. He said no and that he would need 1 or 2 more days. Another week went by and I heard nothing from him. I drove to his shop 4 times over the next 2 days and he was never there and the shop was closed. Finally around week 3, I called him again on phone. He said window was still not done. I explained that he had my window for 3 weeks and I wanted it back right away whether it was done or not (and I would take it to a different shop). He said he would do the job and have it ready within an hour or two, which he did do. He never apologized for the 3 week delay, simply gave me the window and asked for cash payment.Quality of this simple job seemed to be no problem (reason 2 of 2 for 2 star review instead of 1 star review).Bottom line - this was a very simple job that probably required less than an hour of his time and he should have had the window back to me in a day or t2 and he took 3 weeks only after i had to chase him down and threaten to take my business elsewhere. I will not be using Bryant Glass ever again.

Brendan Bilgen: Rude over the phone, multiple follow ups to get a price on a sheet of glass that took 4 weeks to not share pricing on. I finally picked the 18.5x18.5 sheet up I had dropped off with them to replicate and a competitor cut a replacement in 3 hours and gave me pricing on the spot. Still haven’t heard back from my last email 8days ago from these guys. If you don’t want business fine but don’t waste peoples time and patience as the piece sits in-front of your desk while you refuse to respond to emails.
PM Construction: Great service with a very knowledgeable staff. We only use Prime for our shower doors and enclosures. The also have repaired many broken window sashes for us.
Eric Bosco: I had an excellent experience with Prime Glass and Mirror. They repaired a broken mirror on an old door and preserved all the molding and made it look like new. The work was also done super-fast and they were a pleasure to work with.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to work with these folks past the initial visit/measure.

Michael Williams: This guy overcharged me for a gaskets for my bathroom . Made racists remarks on how people from the hood only have these types of gaskets . Literally charged me 3 times the price for the smaller one then i asked him for the other one back and he told me its at his other shop in dorchester. Its been there for 3 weeks and resfuses to return it .ive even offered to go pick it up .then randomly calls me and ask if i still want to buy it and i told him no and he hung up . I called b1ck to still try and get my gasket no answers

I try to purchase services from small, local businesses as much as possible and Sam's shop is around the corner from my home, so a small job should have been easy to book. The work was poor quality and never completed properly. Surly personality is fine, poor and irresponsible craftsmanship is not. I'd rate zero stars, if possible.

I got a piece of speciality glass that was hard to find anywhere else and Sam ordered and cut the glass very quickly. Sandy Lavallee: I used Sam years ago for another project and although I found him to be rude, he did a good job. I called him again...mistake!!!. He was very agressive and insisted on removing a frame from our antique door vs relying on measurements. He demanded I put down a deposit. It was all very rush rush. We called within 24 hours to have him halt cutting the glass because we may have to alter the frame and that I would be picking it up. He lost part of the frame ( insisted he never had it was very rude and swore at me...later called to admit he found the missing pieces.).When I picked up the frame peices, he had lost the screws. The frame is frome 1880 with non standard screws. I had to have new screws machined. I asked for my deposit back as I was no longer comfortable havin him do the job. He kept my $400. AVOID USING HIM!!!

Jessica White: If I could give 0 stars, I would. I reiterate every single negative review that I read - they describe my own experience perfectly. I ordered two 14-inch round pieces of glass for end tables, explained what they were for, and thinking that I was stating the obvious, told him I needed smooth edges. I was told the total would be $100 even, and he wanted $60 down. That was a week ago. I returned today to pick up the glass, and he asked me for $40 plus $6 and change for tax (as if he pays taxes at his cash-only business). My glass pieces were on the floor, unwrapped, and he had nothing to wrap them in for transport. Fine, but then I picked up the glass to find both pieces have jagged edges. I reminded him I wanted smooth edges, and he completely blew up on me, telling me that if I wanted something "fancy" I should've told him that, and it would cost extra. I then started to tell him that it didn't need to be fancy, I just want it not to cut me, and that I would appreciate being treated like a customer and not a nuisance. I didn't get far before he was yelling at me again and telling me to "take off that ridiculous mask". I hadn't even realized til then that he wasn't wearing one, because I was so taken aback by his rudeness. I left and immediately reported him to the health department for noncompliance with covid mandates. Do not be tempted to support a local business in your own neighborhood, in this case. I could've gotten the same thing on Amazon, 2 days earlier, with beautifully beveled edges, for $5 less per piece. This is not a good person who is remotely worthy of your business.

MrMahdib123: Don’t even bother here. Read the other reviews, Sam is nuts. I had an accident at my apartment that resulted in the kitchen window being broken. It’s January, in Boston, and I live by the Charles, so it’s windy. I called the emergency line because it was a little after business hours and to me, having no heat and snow and wind coming into your home is an emergency. Sam asked me why I would ever call the emergency line. He lost his temper within minutes and literally started yelling over the phone asking if I had $800 to replace the window, if I thought calling after 5pm was right, and asking more questions like if my landlord knew. All I needed was a new window so myself and my child wouldn’t freeze and Sam took it beyond and above....to be rude. Thanks, thanks a lot.PS, Shawmut Glass CO was really polite and fixed it the same day, after I got off the phone with Sam, so use them.
Joseph Stromberg: On the one hand, Sam cut a piece of glass to my specifications on time and for a reasonable price. On the other, he was unnervingly mercurial, telling me I was "difficult" to speak with after we'd exchanged just a few sentences, then inviting me to stop in and say hi next time I was in the neighborhood. I don't know what to make of him but I'm happy with the product.
Bobby Valentine: Sam is an unprofessional lunatic. He has a whitey-bulger-esque temper. A colleague of mine just had him on speakerphone while trying to schedule a window repair. First of all, Sam doesn’t speak English. He speaks an unintelligible version of the Boston dialect. He became very agitated and started cursing when he had to repeat himself because he could not be understood. Then he tried to order my colleague around on how to deal with his tenant where the repair needed to be done. Things escalated and Sam invited him down to his office to engage in a fist fight. Then they hung up on each other. I have no idea if Sam does good work, but he’s very hot tempered and ill-mannered.

Asked him to install 2 storm windows and replace the tracks on which 3 windows slide up and down. $1600 was a lot to charge, but he sounded like he'd do a good job.However, his work was terrible. The storms leaked afterward and were lopsided. I didn't notice until a few days later that he'd only fixed one of the windows (the one he demonstrated). I have received so many positive referrals to other glass places and ordered my new piece successfully.I hope any potential customer can witness the way this business deceives and interacts with customers and save their $ & frustrationEdit to respond to the owners response: Wow, so many lies in that response and it’s funny I got this response after a woman from Craftsman Glass called me to apologize profusely after this terribly handed incident.No one told me you were “in and out” and that I’d have to call before picking up the item. I sent someone to pick it up during your normal business hours. Why would I ever assume I have to call a business to see if someone’s there when they have it posted they’re open? That’s your mistake not mine.After my second attempt to have the glass pick up I calmly and nicely asked for a refund and was told that I would not get a refund because it was custom glass.I said I’m disappointed because I felt I was deceived into ordering from you in the first place. Then the owner yelled at me!! He yelled at me aggressively and said I should call my credit company to dispute the charge and he would fight it. I then matched his tone and said I would make sure everyone knows how bad of an experience I had which I’m doing now.It’s insane to me that a business with this absolutely disgusting level of customer service is in business. I truly hope my honest reviews can save one customer from the absolute headache of trying to work with craftsman glass.The woman who called me to apologize said she wouldn’t combat my credit card dispute and I just hope that wasn’t a lie either. The woman who called was very apologetic and understood that the store should make the pick up address known since their number is listed as Saugus Glass. She also admitted that it’s fair that I shouldn’t have to call a business during their business hours just to “double check” the doors aren’t locked. She was levelheaded unlike the short tempered owner.Also, they mention that I probably was never a customer of Saugus Glass - I wasn’t? Nor did I ever say I was a previous customer of SG, just that SG was the business I was trying to order from.The owners poor attitude and lack of respect seems to be a common theme in other reviews I’ve read online. I think the tone of the businesses response to a very fair detailing of my experience is VERY telling.Original review below:SCAM!!Apparently, this shady company purchased a phone number from Saugus Glass to mislead customers into thinking they were purchasing from the reputable Saugus Glass which is apparently closed.I ordered a piece of custom glass early February by calling the phone number from Saugus Glass’ website on winter street in Saugus. I was told they’d take a deposit but they charged my Amex the whole amount. Shady, but okay. When they called me to pick it up I left work (which is extremely challenging) and drove to an abandoned building which was the listed address on the website where I retrieved the stores phone number.When I eventually got in touch with the owner, I was told they purchased Saugus Glass phone number - so deceptive!I would in fact have to additional time to drive to meet somewhere or to Everett to pick up the glass. I can’t take additional time from work so I paid someone else additional money to go to Everett today to get the glass. He arrives and the door is locked!!!!I had to pay this person anyway. I called and the owner said he’s there now and claimed to be there the whole time when in fact the door was locked with lights on. I asked for a refund at this point and am told no. I remind him how I was initially deceived into even purchasing from his business and he yelled at me and told me I should just work with my credit card company.I assured him I’ll let people know about this horrible experience!!! I’m now out the cost of the glass, my valuable time and the money I paid to have it picked up.AVOID
Jane Emerson: I just had them install a second mirror. Their quality of work & customer service are excellent. Their customer service is among the best I've experienced. They are responsive & on time. Great value for your money very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Jennifer Costello: Went in to politely ask a general question about a ups delivery that got sent to this addresa. One guy was EXTREMELY RUDE as he rushed me out of his way not being helpful at all, come to find out the UPS drop off was located in the boost mobile store ATTACHED to this business which he went into as i was walking out of that store. I do not reccommend stepping foot in this glassman business unless you would like to leave feeling unwelcomed & disrespected.
Deb Serrano: They are experts in their field and knew exactly how to handle all requests both large and small on our project. The crew was friendly and professional. They have been in business for a long time, are reliable and have competitive prices. I would highly recommend Craftsman Glass.
