Hub Glass Services Inc: what do users think?
David Levine: Arrived at work and found front door glass broken. Called Hub Glass and spoke to a very knowledgable person. Had new glass in the door within a few hours.
Alex: call them, they say open. came here, store closed.
Spencer Swan: Incredibly happy with their service and work. Needed to fix a glass sliding door. Had issues fixing with other companies because of its custom size. Dropped it off on Friday of a holiday weekend and was ready to pick it up first thing Wednesday morning. Where other companies were quoting upwards of $500, Hub Glass fixed my problem far below budget.I should also note that this work was completed in the covid-19 era. Their staff took the upmost care and precautions during our transaction - masks, gloves, call from the parking lot. I highly recommend Hub Glass Services!
Jo Rothman: and that they should contact Google. They said "Maybe you should contact Google" and hung up on me. Will be taking my business elsewhere!!
Samuel Tankel: Excellent and professional staff. Get the job done well! Would highly recommend
Jonathan Verrilli: Mirrors and windows done quickly and professionally.
Stephanie Giglio: The Hub Glass crew was friendly and very professional, they do excellent work and have been around for a long time. The guys are great, Randy and Jimmy are experts in their field and know exactly how to handle all my requests both large and small. Their prices are also very competitive. I would highly recommend Hub Glass for all glass replacement needs.

B & R Glass: what do users think?
Julie Brown: Can't say enough good things about these guys. Honest, hardworking, helpful as the day is long. Been there since 1970, family business and know their stuff.
Health Enthusiast: Really helpful guys. Prices have gone up but i have confidence they will get it figured out. Make sure to come before 3pm!!!
Maksim Miano: Positive:Quality
Jeremy Lapointe: Critical:ProfessionalismI've never had their glass service, but their driver just cut me off by blowing through a stop sign, and proceeded to drive very unsafely.
Wilfredo Villeda: Very nice guys so helpful
Zack Creeden: Friendly, professional and fair
Melissa Morse: Critical:QualityNice people. Prompt service. The WORST replacement car glad I’ve ever had installed. It's like looking through milk when the light enters at a slant. Glass is filled with particulate and I was told that was the best he could do b/c of the car's age. Heartbroken.
Niko Alexandrou: Great service as always
Alan Day: I looked all over Boston metro for a decent price for some custom interior storm windows for 200 yr old house. They did a great job in just a few days and for 70% less than anyone else quoted. Check them out first and you'll be back there after checking elsewhere. I over paid out of gratitude.
Carol Kearney: They were great. 5 Stars
Andrew conant: A nice family operation you can trust them and get good service 👍
Kevin Ronchetti: Awsome service...
Nicholas Bennett: Nice friendly people. Got just what I wanted at a fair price.
Ben Barkan: Great place. Great service. Great people.
Brian Susnock: B&R made replacing our broken NewPro window simple and inexpensive.I had locked myself out and had to break the window to get into the house. These guys are true professionals with more experience than you will find in most every other company of its kind. The original manufacturer wanted over $250 to replace the window, but it cost me less than $100 with B&R's help. You aren't going to find a better or more skilled group anywhere in Boston.
Barry Stephens: as a home improvement tradesmen , I have been a customer since 1983. great local shop. nice guys who take care of what you need, plus when you walk in the door the owner and the craftsmen are who you speak with. no this isn't my department let me go get someone who can help you big-box store nonsense. and there is always a place to park as its a quiet area on mass ave. barry.

Sam's Glass & Mirror Inc.: what do users think?
Michael Williams: This guy overcharged me for a gaskets for my bathroom . Made racists remarks on how people from the hood only have these types of gaskets . Literally charged me 3 times the price for the smaller one then i asked him for the other one back and he told me its at his other shop in dorchester. Its been there for 3 weeks and resfuses to return it .ive even offered to go pick it up .then randomly calls me and ask if i still want to buy it and i told him no and he hung up . I called b1ck to still try and get my gasket no answers
Sandy Goodman: Serves me right for contacting Sam before reading these reviews, which describe my experience precisely. I try to purchase services from small, local businesses as much as possible and Sam's shop is around the corner from my home, so a small job should have been easy to book. The work was poor quality and never completed properly. Surly personality is fine, poor and irresponsible craftsmanship is not. I'd rate zero stars, if possible.
Alex Nichols: Sam came to quote my windows in my family’s building. He was so disgustingly rude to my mother that I got in a verbal fight with him and forced him to leave my apartment! He has no respect for women! Or after reading his other reviews for anyone. After this experience I’m teaching my mom to read reviews before calling lol. I don’t know how this man is still in business!Update: Sam just called me and my mom THREATENING to sue me for my review! Yelling that I’m a militant woman, my mothers weak, and I will never find a man because I’m feminist. I’m a 22 year old girl and he’s threatening me. He is a PSYCHO!
Tan-Yi Luk: One of their drivers nearly ran me into the cement wall on the ramp up to the highway. The driver was in the merging lane onto the ramp and drove on the shoulder lane pushing me closer and closer to the wall to force me to let him in front of me.
Gabriela Lupatkin: I just called and asked for a price on delivery and when I told him where it would go he said "call a place there" and hung up on me (the town is not far from his office).
Chris Lee: Sam is Rude rude rude!! I called for a price on an 18 inch glass mirror. When I was told the price and asked if I wanted it I said ok thank you but I’m all set. He lashed out and wanted to know why I called if I didn't want it. I’m sorry it was cheaper online but I am allowed to inquire about prices… I’ll find a nice private seller on Etsy who I am sure would appreciate my business more. All set with this place.
Shane M: Sam was great to work with. Was efficient, quick, and produced a high quality product. I got a piece of speciality glass that was hard to find anywhere else and Sam ordered and cut the glass very quickly. Additionally, I only got the glass cut and was installing myself, Sam was an expert with advice and installation suggestions. Will be coming back when I need more glass.
Sandy Lavallee: I used Sam years ago for another project and although I found him to be rude, he did a good job. I called him again...mistake!!!. He was very agressive and insisted on removing a frame from our antique door vs relying on measurements. He demanded I put down a deposit. It was all very rush rush. We called within 24 hours to have him halt cutting the glass because we may have to alter the frame and that I would be picking it up. He lost part of the frame ( insisted he never had it was very rude and swore at me...later called to admit he found the missing pieces.).When I picked up the frame peices, he had lost the screws. The frame is frome 1880 with non standard screws. I had to have new screws machined. I asked for my deposit back as I was no longer comfortable havin him do the job. He kept my $400. AVOID USING HIM!!!
Andrew Firger: Called to say I'm looking for a noise solution in East Boston and I'm looking for a a window insert or new windows. He told me to "be a man" and "if you want a solution, move." AND THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME. Don't give someone like this your business.
Charles Kim: He has a temper. Will begin to yell with no provocation.
Jacques Elmaleh: Very professional, excellent work, very satisfied.
Juan A “JAT” T: Avoid this like the plague - I did business with this guy - the worst of the worst. AVOID IT - read the reviews here - this guy is the plague and hope he goes under
Jessica White: If I could give 0 stars, I would. I reiterate every single negative review that I read - they describe my own experience perfectly. I ordered two 14-inch round pieces of glass for end tables, explained what they were for, and thinking that I was stating the obvious, told him I needed smooth edges. I was told the total would be $100 even, and he wanted $60 down. That was a week ago. I returned today to pick up the glass, and he asked me for $40 plus $6 and change for tax (as if he pays taxes at his cash-only business). My glass pieces were on the floor, unwrapped, and he had nothing to wrap them in for transport. Fine, but then I picked up the glass to find both pieces have jagged edges. I reminded him I wanted smooth edges, and he completely blew up on me, telling me that if I wanted something "fancy" I should've told him that, and it would cost extra. I then started to tell him that it didn't need to be fancy, I just want it not to cut me, and that I would appreciate being treated like a customer and not a nuisance. I didn't get far before he was yelling at me again and telling me to "take off that ridiculous mask". I hadn't even realized til then that he wasn't wearing one, because I was so taken aback by his rudeness. I left and immediately reported him to the health department for noncompliance with covid mandates. Do not be tempted to support a local business in your own neighborhood, in this case. I could've gotten the same thing on Amazon, 2 days earlier, with beautifully beveled edges, for $5 less per piece. This is not a good person who is remotely worthy of your business.
Jenny Smith: Very disrespectful, no type of customer service skills. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Maurice Zide: Terribly overpriced. Go to another place to get the glass replaced. I thought it was a small business so i would support him. Understand why he only takes cash, as he is very rude and unfriendly to his clients. He makes you wait outside..
MrMahdib123: Don’t even bother here. Read the other reviews, Sam is nuts. I had an accident at my apartment that resulted in the kitchen window being broken. It’s January, in Boston, and I live by the Charles, so it’s windy. I called the emergency line because it was a little after business hours and to me, having no heat and snow and wind coming into your home is an emergency. Sam asked me why I would ever call the emergency line. He lost his temper within minutes and literally started yelling over the phone asking if I had $800 to replace the window, if I thought calling after 5pm was right, and asking more questions like if my landlord knew. All I needed was a new window so myself and my child wouldn’t freeze and Sam took it beyond and above....to be rude. Thanks, thanks a lot.PS, Shawmut Glass CO was really polite and fixed it the same day, after I got off the phone with Sam, so use them.
Joseph Stromberg: On the one hand, Sam cut a piece of glass to my specifications on time and for a reasonable price. On the other, he was unnervingly mercurial, telling me I was "difficult" to speak with after we'd exchanged just a few sentences, then inviting me to stop in and say hi next time I was in the neighborhood. I don't know what to make of him but I'm happy with the product.
Bobby Valentine: Sam is an unprofessional lunatic. He has a whitey-bulger-esque temper. A colleague of mine just had him on speakerphone while trying to schedule a window repair. First of all, Sam doesn’t speak English. He speaks an unintelligible version of the Boston dialect. He became very agitated and started cursing when he had to repeat himself because he could not be understood. Then he tried to order my colleague around on how to deal with his tenant where the repair needed to be done. Things escalated and Sam invited him down to his office to engage in a fist fight. Then they hung up on each other. I have no idea if Sam does good work, but he’s very hot tempered and ill-mannered.
Mark: He's terrible. Asked him to install 2 storm windows and replace the tracks on which 3 windows slide up and down. $1600 was a lot to charge, but he sounded like he'd do a good job. However, his work was terrible. The storms leaked afterward and were lopsided. I didn't notice until a few days later that he'd only fixed one of the windows (the one he demonstrated). The other two were more broken than when he began.Very disappointed - ended up hiring someone else to fix the problems, which worked out just fine.
Teneha B: Rude conversationalist.
AK Studios: Sam was quick and efficient at processing our order. His work speaks for itself, not to mention that his prices are the best we could find. Super quick turnaround for custom mirrors. Thanks again Sam!
