Fresh Pond Golf Course: what do users think?
James Rippy: Was it wonderful day, the weather was fine nature was beautiful...
Nicky R: Beautiful I wish to see more road races there.
Tim C: Best overall course in the area, for the views and value. Fantastic greens, and really well taken care of. Staff are more than fine- have never had a single issue; I know they can get worried about pace of play, but I don't blame them for trying to keep it moving. Just a really excellent place.
Mªeugenia Gonzalez Rivero: Reserva natural cerca de Boston.
rafinel castillo de leon: Beautiful
Eduards Tralmaks: The course is actually good with good greens BUT man the staff that works there is something else. I’m not talking about the guy at the pro shop but the starter and the old guy driving around looking to scream at someone for something. We parked with 2 wheels on the rough instead of all of the wheels being on the cartpath on accident and the old guy drives and screams while my friend is chipping. The starter is always mad about something and rushing everybody to hit their balls and get out of the way. I shanked my ball because of being rushed and he told me to let the group behind me go and I felt embarrassed. Also my score is 90 so I’m not a complete amateur. I would love to come back but while the same staff is there count me out.
Chris Lynch: Beware around hole 4 and 7! I got stung 4 times by some angry wasps, told the guy at the clubhouse and he said “he told groundskeepers to spray that a few days ago but I guess they haven’t gotten around to it.” Pretty bad look knowing you have a wasps nest in the middle of the course and not taking care of it immediately. Disappointing because it’s a nice course
Kate Haber: I was excited to enjoy a day of golf at Fresh Pond, a course I’ve played at before, but the day started off terribly. A female employee was positioned at the first hole and began verbally attacking my golf partner and me for being a few mins late to our tee time (despite the second half of our group having already teed off). While I can understand an employee asking for us to hurry the employee continued to state that we were late and continued to yell while I was trying to hit from the tee. She was yelling that I should just drop the ball up the fairway despite the fact that I had plenty of time to tee off. I repeatedly stated that I was sorry for being a few minutes late, but that she was being rude and that her yelling wasn’t helping us move any faster. Instead, it was just making all the members in my group uncomfortable. It was clear to me that this employee could not control herself as she compulsively stated how we were late despite our apologizing. It got so bad that I finally said she was ruining our experience and told her to stop berating me and my golf partner. She finally stopped. There is absolutely no excuse for speaking to patrons the way my group was spoken to today, especially not for being a few minutes late. Luckily the group I golfed with made up for the terrible beginning. Regardless, I won’t be golfing here again.
Johanna Meyer: Always a good walk
Henry Buda: Great course but I felt the greens were a little faster than some other courses in the area.
lafontaine orvild: Beautiful place to walk around.
Daniel Destefano: Very enjoyable course and staff
Anna Dyakiv: Worst experience I’ve ever had at a golf course. Spoke with Andrew over the phone to book a tee time. Only asked for the name. Did not provide any instructions . Upon arriving at the first tee I was told I need two bags of clubs to play even though I had all the clubs and was just sharing a bag with a friend. The person checking in at the tee, Sunny was extremely disrespectful, raised her voice and got into my face. When I walked back to ask Andrew why that was the policy he said “I am not going to get into it” wouldn’t explain why. Raised his tone, refused to refund to the credit card I paid with and instead threw the cash in my face and told me to leave. Gave me a phone number for his director when I tried to call it, Andrew answered. There was a group checking in at the same time who were appalled by how he was speaking to my friend and I. Needless to say it was a very unpleasant experience. If I was properly explained the policy and treated with respect I would have had no issue renting another bag! Additionally just read the review and it seems like this is an ongoing issue and the staff is untrained and disrespectful.
Charlie Cronin: Probably my worst golf experience yet and without a doubt the worst golf staff I have encountered. All but one employees were extremely rude, condescending and the opposite of empathetic towards the unexperienced golfers we were with. Right off the bat, the ranger on the first tee was pressuring us about pace and proceed to follow us down the fairway and tell the girls to hit off the handicap tee. The pressure exerted by the staff on the first hole made for a terrible start to the day and made us feel like we couldn't take any time on the remaining holes. We didn't even putt on the first hole we felt that pressured. This is a 9-hole municipal public course, yet the staff that works here acts as if they're hosting the US Open. On top of that, it's an enormous rip off. To play only 9-holes and be treated by the staff like that, paying upwards of $40 is simply comical. You could play 18 holes at most courses for that price. It's safe to say I will not be returning to this course and would strongly not recommend it for anyone who wants to have fun golfing or isn't extremely experienced.
Max P: Well maintained 9 hole course but it can get a little busy especially in the summer afternoons, especially with tee times 10 minutes apart from each other.
Simon Watts: I have lived close to this course for the last fifteen years since moving here from England.I have been lucky enough to play some of the best golf courses in England and here in the US.Fresh Pond Golf Course is absolutely the best value round of golf in the Greater Boston area. It would still be good value at twice the price.Bob and Andy in the pro shop run a very tight ship - the course and greens are always in excellent shape. They are professionals, they care about the game and care about their course. Play there - get to know them - it will quickly become your favorite place for nine holes. The course is on the shorter side, designed to challenge the skilled golfer but accessible to the high handicapper. I aways find the dog-leg left fourth hole a worthy challenge. A well hit tee shot is rewarded by a down hill fairway at the landing zone.I always forget that I’m in the middle of a city - just this week a beautiful doe stood transfixed on the cart path as we hit our putts on the 6th.
Emilio Lapiello: Nice course, but management lacks empathy for people they happen to spray with putrid water while playing. When asked why the sprinklers were on while people were playing, their reply was that "there is a timer for the sprinklers and that's how it is".It is unfortunate for paying customers that the timer is set to start while they are still playing. It would have been nice of them to just apologize for the inconvenience and set things straight, but that did not happen at all. With all the worries about Covid and other diseases, recommendations to wear masks indoors and so on, I am eager to find out how the City of Cambridge Health department feels about people being sprayed with putrid water on one of the facilities the city owns and manages.
Al Wayne: Andrew at the front desk is horrible. Bad tempered, extremely rude, and inconsiderate. Seems as if he’d rather be doing anything else - a true pity on a course as good as this one. Seriously negatively impacts the course experience.
Patrick McKenna: Just golfed here for the first time last Friday, and now see why the tee times fill up! The staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked up to the club house, even showing us the practice green and made sure we knew where the first tee was. The course makes you forget you're as close to the city as you are! Great views and challenging shots, this was a great course for me and my fiancé to enjoy together to help our game. Really looking forward to making this one of our regular courses!!!
Tyler Jon Morrison: This perfect, 9-hole layout is so much fun and so well maintained; you will always get to use all the clubs in your bag here, with two par-5 holes and three par-3s, playing to a par of 35. The greens are invariably in excellent condition and tend to run on the faster side of the Stimpmeter compared against most public courses. Donald Ross elements of architecture are detectable in a number of the greens complexes and tee shots, however the course is very easy to walk without too many elevation changes overall. Bob Carey does a great job of running the pro shop for all your couse equipment needs, and all of the staff are excellent at their jobs, friendly and knowledgeable. Call the pro shop for day-of tee times, but otherwise their online booking is easy to use. Come out to Fresh Pond and hopefully I'll see you out there 🍻 cheers.
FELIPE DE AZEVEDO SILVA RIBEIRO: Lugar excelente para entrar em contato com a natureza, caminhar ou fazer piquenique.

GOLFTEC Burlington: what do users think?
Kurt C: If you want game improvement , this place is a must go!I had Todd Smith as my coach in 2016-2018 and he was nothing but great! I highly recommend him. If it wasn’t for his outstanding teaching abilities I would still be struggling to break 100. Now I score in the mid 80s and still till this day I am constantly improving. Golf tech provides you with the best technology around and you get to keep all your saved lessons so you can go back and watch them at anytime.
tom P: Steven was very professional, and helped me literally get a better grip on my golf game.
Adam Lavery: Please, don't waste your money!Golftec sells it's method by stressing analytics and claiming state of the art equipment. Simulators are everywhere these days and they all have the same information. And, if the guy running the lesson doesn't explain the target numbers, or perhaps doesn't understand the information, these numbers are irrelevant. Their video quality is so slow and poor, it more often than not missed crucial parts of my swing. My phone would've been more useful. The bottom line is, these are not coaches. They are guys that like to play golf and wanted a way to make money when not golfing. They use a couple of gimmicks, and send you off with links to online videos. You pay 1 hour prices for 30 minutes, and there is no investment in your progress. When I started my lessons, I told them I wanted two things. I wanted a practice plan, so when on the range I'd be practicing with purpose. I also wanted to build the foundation of a good swing, and I didn't mind a setback in scoring. I wasn't looking for miracles. I got neither. My first coach was COMPLETELY disinterested in our lessons. I'm not saying he was always hungover, but he acted like he was. He'd sip coffee and wander out of the room for half the time. Once, I drove all the way there, on his schedule, for a lesson. He came in the room and asked if I'd rather just practice on my own. I asked for a different teacher. The next guy wasn't any better. It was summed up when, after working together for a couple months, he asked "is that your normal ball flight?". Shouldn't you know that after "coaching" me for 2 months? It's like these guys have never even been coached, never mind have the credentials to do the coaching. Biggest regret of my golf career.
Andrey Zarur: This is a great facility. The instructors are amazing. Todd Smith is highly recommended.
Gary Ainsworth: This review is way over due. Coach Casey Walsh is a great teacher. He consistently found a way to explain concepts, even though my game is well over 30 years in the making. Typical of a man of a certain age, my game was getting shorter and less consistent. Casey patiently help me rebuild my game, deconstructing and reconstructing around basics, best practices, and physical ability. With humor, firmness, and nuanced observations, Casey is a gifted teacher and coach. At first suspicious, and now a true believer, give GolfTec Burlington a try.
Rene Hallmark: Excellent facility and instruction

Golf Lessons Boston: what do users think?
John Short: I've been working with Brian Spitz for a year and a half. Since starting, I've seen my handicap improvement accelerate. Brian has helped me with my swing, but that is not all there is to golf, and he is one of the coaches that realizes that and will actually help. He has worked with me on course management, putting, chipping, how to practice when I'm not with him, and the mental aspect of the game.I've also worked with Ben on fitness. I first came to him for reasons outside of golf, but since working with him, I've seen a massive improvement in my distances. He is Titleist Performance Institute Certified.
Dominic Lim: Overall pretty disappointed with my experience. I purchased a 10 lesson pack with a commitment to improving my golf game. While things were going great in the original studio (on Ericsson St), the quality of the lessons got significantly worse when Jesse moved his studio to Adams Village. The studio build out ended up being a complete disaster and it began to reflect in the quality of the lessons. He would frequently conjure excuses and cancel last minute or cut the lessons short as a result of overbooking. Last but not least, Jesse would not stop complaining about his business problems! (I was having a serious case of the shanks, and confidence issues in my golf swing in the meantime!!)He decided to call it quits and is now moving to Buffalo, NY in the next several weeks of me writing this review. Looking back, it seems that Jesse's intention really shifted to churning out lessons before leaving town instead of nurturing a long term coach/player relationship.Beware of booking any 5 or 10 lesson packs with him! It seems that he has been leading people on about his long term prospects.
Andrew DeLorey: Jesse has been both a great instructor and friend over the past two years. After 7 lessons, I had dropped my handicap by 3 shots!! He is tremendous at using technology to show students the concepts that he is trying to teach. The pieces of technology that he uses to teach (trackman, K-vests) are cutting edge! I have had multiple co-workers and friends go to him as well and they keep saying they are now playing their best ever!
Robbie Vogel: Straight up, the best golf simulator in Boston. Huge simulator screen and as much (or as little) technology as you want to analyze your swing. He does a great job of using the tech (launch monitors, swing path monitors, body tracking) to help you understand what you're doing, without going overboard and getting confusing with it. Definitely recommend lessons with Jesse.
Christopher Gentile: Jesse has the best indoor golf facility in Boston, hand down. The technology he has available has really helped improve my game. His teaching style is great too. He helps you understand why things are or aren't working and breaks things down into manageable pieces.
Michael Nourie: I've been taking lessons with Jesse for about a year and a half now and have definitely seen a great improvement in both my driver and my irons - i've gone down 5 shots in my handicap too. He's really helpful at working on one thing at a time and works with you to improve your game gradually so the time put in will will consistently continue to make a difference. His new facility in Dorchester is also awesome. Love the fact that I can easily get in some practice time on a simulator with great courses at an easy to swallow price. No matter what your skill level would definitely recommend Jesse to anyone looking to beef up their game
Alex Caracuzzo: Jesse is a phenomenal instructor-- he is patient, friendly and matches his intensity to that of the student-- you will feel comfortable learning from him no matter what your skill level. Jesse tailors his teaching to your goals and what you are trying to get out of the game. And his lessons are fun!
Nick Rusconi: Jesse has been awesome. He has a great understanding of the golf swing and sends you a detailed slow motion video of each lesson after. Definitely worth going to if you want to improve your game!
Kevin McGorty: I've taken two lessons with Jesse and I've seen noticeable improvements in a short amount of time. He is great to work with and his feedback is very easy to understand. The video tool used is a helpful visual aide allowing you to easily reinforce what you've learned after the lesson. I'd highly recommend taking lessons with Jesse.
Michael Tryba: Jesse provides an outstanding golf learning environment. The way he uses video technology to record your swing to show you what to work on is extremely helpful. I went to Jesse with 15 years of golf experience, and averaging around a 14-16 handicap. After only one lessons he fixed a major flaw in my swing, and I now hit the ball as consistent and straight as I used to when I was a single digit handicap. In my two hours with Jesse I learned more about my swing than I ever expected with a lesson. Will be going back a few more times this year, and then each year after that! Thanks Jesse!
James Italia: Jesse is a great instructor. My swing looks completely different and improved since working with Jesse. Jesse is a great guy and provides a comfortable environment for lessons. Signing up for another set of five lessons with him. Definitely would suggest him.
Colin Connolly: Jesse does an awesome job teaching using the indoor golf space at MIT. He blends traditional teaching technique and knowledge of an individual's golf swing with today's technology to give really helpful feedback on what works for your swing and what you can do to improve. Personally, I felt like a golf lesson with him yielded immediate results and also laid groundwork for sustained performance going forward. I highly recommend him for any level of player looking for help with their game.
Mike Delaney: Jesse quickly identified issues with my swing and helped me work towards ways to fix them. Each swing he lets you know what you did well and what you didn't, until you're able to get a feel for it yourself. Great teacher and a really nice, down to earth guy -- I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
Amin Danai: Jesse is the real deal. I've been playing golf for a long time and a couple swing issues have always held me back from reaching the next level. Other instructors have always been able to identify the issues, but none could help me solve them. I decided to give Jesse a try, and in one lesson he figured out the sources of the problems and gave me simple ways to fix them. I'll be going back to Jesse.
Shane Preston: Jesse is a great instructor. He is clearly knowledgable about the game of golf. He utilizes technology to help make the impossible game of golf easier to understand. The location is awesome, I will definitely be going back for more lessons!
Omar Nater: Jesse Struebing's swing instruction has improved my golf game beyond words. I had played previously, but badly, and he was able to help me improve right away. Jesse is thoughtful, informative, and always entertaining when showing you the right way to do things. I guarantee Jesse will make you a better golfer even after only one lesson Whether you are an experienced golfer or just starting out, Jesse is the instructor for you. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their golf game. A+++ instructor!
Jared Rabin: I have been going to lessons with Jesse for a little over 4 months now and I could not be happier with my experience thus far.First off, his facility is fantastic. Located in the heart of Cambridge/MIT it is incredibly easy to get to for a working professional in the Kendall Square area. The golf studio is in a reconverted squash court so there is plenty of room to hit and he has all of the state of the art video analysis equipment you could ask for.The real reason to go to an instructor in the first place is for the coaching and instruction on how to improve your golf swing. Jesse does a fantastic job at analyzing your swing and tendencies and giving you constructive drills to improve. He does not have a "canned" approach for everyone and his advice is very personalized. He does a great job in relating what you should be doing in a way you can understand it which is a big help. He is patient and positive with his attitude towards the lesson.I have been to other pro's in the past and I think the biggest thing to look for in an instructor is someone who you are comfortable with. Others instructors I have seen seem out of touch and you feel like you are just another check to them and they try to change your swing. Jesse takes a vested interest in your improvement and it comes across very genuine, taking what you have and making it better.Overall, I highly recommend Jesse. The combination of quality instruction, use of technology, location and just a good guy can't be beat.
Amit Jardosh: I've known and worked with Jesse for quite some time now. He is an excellent teacher. He tries to focus on one or two issues with your technique per lesson, which makes it easy to remember and practice before the next class. His studio is easy to get to, which is important because you can't always drive out of the city for a golf lesson. Moreover, he uses video extensively during his lessons to not only show you what you are doing wrong, but will also send you a video lesson via email so you can keep working on your technique after the class is over.
David Werry: I've been taking lessons with Jesse for over a year and highly recommend him. He's extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about teaching. Jesse is 100% committed to making you a better golfer and improving your game. He's a great guy and I really enjoy working with him.
Victor Lee: I signed up with Jesse after some recommendations from classmates. I've had about six lessons with him and he's been great. He has a very simple approach to the golf swing and is great at breaking it down to the fundamentals. Jesse has a great facility with dual cameras, hitting pad, and lots of videos of pros for comparison. I'm looking forward to getting my swing cleaned up and would recommend him to anyone from beginners to experienced players who just want some clean up.
Sinae Kim: Best place to take indoor lessons. You can learn golf in a relaxed but professional environment.

Cedar Glen Golf Course: what do users think?
Bryce Hansen: The course is clearly not maintained, with several of the tee boxes completely made up of dirt. Pace of play was terrible, with groups being sent out immediately after each other, there were 3 groups waiting on the same tee box at times. Our tee time was for 18 holes (twice around the 9 hole course) and this was confirmed by the worker taking payments when we checked in. We paid $40 for the round initially, but were tracked down at the turn and asked to pay for the second round. Unclear why we couldn't pay for the entire 18 holes at once, when our scheduled tee time was for 18.
Pete Gauthier: Best staff I've met so many great people there
John Zabroski: Great shape. The fourth hole has a new cart path right in the middle of the fairway which is totally nuts, but otherwise there are only a few things I'd like to see improved, like the second tee box should probably use Penncross seed to handle shade better.Overall, if you're local, you love this course, but I wouldn't drive an hour to play here.
Craig Sanford: Starter very helpful when my second player failed to show. Course in decent shape considering the extreme heat we've had in the area. My two players I joined with were friendly and gave alot of insight where I wasn't familiar with the fairways or greens. Good day in all..
Roberto Perez: Easy to play and golf...it meets exactly all expectation as far as what you paid for... greens and tee boxes could use some work however they are functional and serve their purpose...
Lukas Shannon: Great nine hole course not too far from Boston. They are extremely accommodating and great to actually book with them by calling rather than online.
Justin R: Had great time @CedarGlennGolfCourse today. Great 9 holes track.
Mike: Great course and great staff! Very accommodating.
Bobby Conlon: Nice course, well maintained and great prices. E walked but will ride next time.
Kory S: Great place to learn the game. Some nice holes.. laid back 9 holes
Joseph Zero: Worst conditions I’ve ever seen on a golf course, if you’re looking to improve your game, don’t come here.
Mitchell Gaynor: Played a league here this summer (via Spark.Golf) and it's a fun little course. Holes 6,7,8 provide some good scoring opportunities and 2 is a pretty easy par 5 as long as you hit the fairway with your teeshot. The conditions vary wildly from week to week, sometimes well manicured fairways and teeboxes, others you're hitting your driver out of mud and putting through a minefield of divots on the greens so there's something left to be desired especially considering for a similar price you can play Kings Rail or Sagamore Springs nearby. The bar is limited and I've never inquired about food but assume it isn't much to write home about as I've never seen anyone eating here. All in all it's a fine little muni course, easy to get a tee time on and reasonably priced. The staff seem hit or miss, some excited to see new faces, others scowling if you dare ask for a cart after 4 pm but hey that's just the north shore charm for ya haha.I live nearby and will probably play many future rounds here out of convenience, but probably wouldn't drag my city friends out here for a round. Hope it improves over time.
Pat Jurgens: Course is in good shape and wasn't busy today. Got 3 pars out of 9 holes, which is good for me!
Ernest Sherman: AWSOME GREAT DAY GREAT WEATHER
Robert Lucchesi: Great course for beginners
Bob Marcinko: Getting better cut down a lot of trees hopefully get some sun on greens I dont know why when you call for a tee time you have to pay up front so if im playing with a foursome I have to pay for 3 people out of my pocket till I get money 3 days later no other course play does THIS it's stupid
Michael Saporito: Nice course. Good deals for kids weekend afternoons.
Robert Hassell: Needs irrigation.
Mark Ferragamo: Greens are horrible! There doing a lot of work there!
Kevin Strum: Great local, casual, no frills place to go. You can work on your game at a bargain price. Can't wait until I can have a beer or two and chill on the patio.
Christopher Fioravanti: You would be better off putting on an unpaved road
