Hong Kong Restaurant (Harvard Square): what do users think?
Jaye Aster Broder: Review for upstairs bar lounge only. The drinks are kind of pricey but the bowls are nice to share with friends. The karaoke is fun but the songs are very very old and often don’t have music so you’ll really hear the singers’ voices. To access the lounge you need to go up stairs.
Mark Wood: This place has great tasting food and it is traditional American Chinese food! They make the food cooked to order and the food has plenty of flavor. The staff was fantastic from the minute we walked in and the portion sizes are huge. Highly recommended if you looking for Chinese in Boston!Recommended dishes Chicken Fingers …More
Scuti: Terrible service. We waited for 10 minutes and nobody came to take our orders. We left after being sick of waiting.
alex geb: It smell crazy in there
Kevin: Staff were friendly but the quality of the food was average....I got the chicken chowmein with pork fried rice and boneless spearibs.. I thought the food wasn't tasty and just poorly done. My second time here and will not eat here again.

body no: Food was ok, but the service was so bad , and they force u to give 20%tips
D hautot: So lame 🤣
Elizabeth N: i really liked the food but i think i now have food poisoning :( avoid the pu pu platter
M B: Today was my first time eating at Hong Kong. The food was good quality, in good size portions at at very reasonable prices for Boston. It has also has an old school vibe that is relaxing. I will definitely be back.
David Lachina: What makes this restaurant a long term success in Cambridge is the delicious food, reasonable prices, and memorable customer service.
John Gautreau: To start we wanted to try something new so we ordered from here and noticed it had decent reviews.I’m not sure if they are paid reviews or what because this was the worst Chinese food I have ever had.The general chicken was soggy and not spicy. The beef with oyster sauce was chewy and spicy. The rice was dry and tasteless.Chicken fingers were missing the key ingredient, chicken. No duck sauce, soy sauce or mustard was sent. ( maybe it needed to be requested )Stay clear of this place and find something better.
Guillaume Bouchard: Best food around!
AnaMaria DeJesus: Just did not taste great. Crab Rangoon’s were so so oily and the fried rice wasn’t even fried.
Eddie Wellington: I got food poisoning from your chicken wings👎
Min: The foods were amazing. Reasonable price and awesome drinks. The karaoke was fun too
Crystal Smith Davis: Absolutely love their crispy salt and pepper shrimp.Recommended dishes Seafood …More
Dan Braun: The best Chinese cuisine in the Boston area, period.I've been a loyal customer for almost 25 years. Hundreds of meals later, I've never had a bad experience at the Hong Kong. The wait staff, especially Sandy, are never less than wonderful, and the family, for whom the restaurant has been their pride for almost seventy years, are a joy to talk with and support.Harvard Square has changed plenty over the years. It truly wouldn't be the same without the Hong Kong.
Alexis Rodriguez Mejia: The food was great up until we got the bill. We paid it of course, and the prices were very reasonable. We even tipped. However, our tip was apparently not enough according to our waitress who pointed to the suggested tip and said it was the minimum. She stood there until I crossed out the old tip and wrote in the new one and wouldn't let us leave otherwise. Very disappointed with the waitress and even ruined Hong Kong for me. I will not be returning anytime soon, and I advice you not to either.

Rubato HK Café: what do users think?
Tang Jenny: I went there around 1pm on Thursday and thought I could find a seat. I was very wrong. The place is very busy. The staff is fairly busy. I probably will order online and pick it up next time. The food is authentic. The fried chicken bolo is delicious.
Benjamin Hou: Delicious food! Authentic Cantonese food in Quincy. Really love the specials and milk tea!
Benn Robbins: This is a new favorite place for us. Their food is spectacular! The staff and owner are wonderful.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Michelle Carmeli: The food was tasty, but there was basically no seating. We ended up sitting by the beach to eat it, which would probably be really nice in the summer but not so much in April. Still, the fried chicken bolo was delicious!Recommended dishes Fried Chicken Bolo …More
Daniel Peters: One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. My first time but will be back to try some of the other menu items
Monica Eguia: This place has the BEST chicken sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly brined, juicy, tender, crunchy, salty, sweet - everything is balanced to absolute perfection. Fried chicken anywhere else in the Boston area just doesn’t come anywhere close.Their congee is surprisingly addictive - more so than most dim sum restaurants. Also the fun and egg lava buns are delicious too. I’ve eaten there, gotten takeout, and gotten delivery and the food tastes great no matter how hot or cold it is.Rubato is a true gem to society!!
Simon wang (DragonBladeXT): The staff is so kind and the atmosphere is lovelyRecommended dishes Fried Chicken Bolo …More
James Sharp: Warm Bread - I loved the warm and fresh bread that was served with the meal, making for a comforting and delicious addition.
Kalven Lin: Great food and incredibly unique dining experience. It was an interesting blend of flavors and while the food was fast, it was higher quality that fast foods. the kitchen was clean and the staff was nice. Overall, the green ambiance was a pleasant surprise as soon as i stepped in.Kid-friendliness: Staff treated me normally.
Misty Clark: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Ira Li: The food here is great. The fried chicken bolo and curry fish ball noodles are our favorite. If you want the fried dough sticks (you tiao) go early as they sell out. The place is small so don't plan for a large group.Parking: There are 3 spots right in front +1 handicap. There are 5 across the street.
channette im: Heard about Rubato opening up recently and knew I wanted to try. The food photos looked so good! One day, I saw it on Uber eats and gave it a shot. I decided to order a few things since it was my first time.Ordered:-pork/egg congee (listed as popular)-you tiao (known to pair with congee)-curry fish balls-spam bolo (only tried it bc I read a review about someone almost crying when they had it).Total with tip was $30.Overall, I thought the food was underwhelming. I would only retry if someone I knew and trusted recommended a dish.I grew up having Cambodian congee and used to it having more flavor/depth. The congee here was too bland for me despite having the pork, egg and scallions. The you tiao was too greasy and I tasted the flavour of the oil. I’m used to it being more light, crispy and not tasting like oil. Curry fish balls was nice but not something I would crave. Has a nice hint of spice to it. The spam bolo I could only take two bites max. Spam was salty (usual) and rest was sandwich was bland.Only dish I finished was the curry fish balls.
cranky bear123: I love the beef brisket bao! After eating them I feel like playing a sport 😂. I also like the chau xiu buns. Staff are pleasant as well.
Meiyi Huang: I can not understand, every time I order a drink in front of the aunt will give me a lot of empty, is every time !!!! There is also no paper inside the cup of drinks ordered before, it is easy to pour out.
Peter Schantz: Wow! Do not miss out on this delicious and fast counter service joint. The fried chicken bolo bao was probably one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned thigh with just the right amount of slaw and toppings jammed into a pillow soft but also crunchy bolo bao.The Brisket Cheung fun I could eat for days! Can't wait to go back and eat everything!
Foto Liu: Floor was really dirty and little seating. Service wasn’t very good and the food was meh compared to other places in the area.
D Brown: The chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwiches ive ever got from a restaurant. Stumbled across this on uber eats. So good it motivated me to leave a review
Nyacko Pearl Perry: The space feels both unique and familiar. The food is fabulous with so many rich flavors and textures. It is a joy to be there!
Sandra: Small place with a friendly staff and delicious Hong Kong style food! Try the Nutella French toast, 100/10!Recommended dishes Nutella …More
Steph Y: Sitting inside now and just ordered two of the Cheung Fun (sesame/hoisin and brisket, fried chicken bolo bao (picture doesn’t do it justice), char siu bao, and large HK milk tea (hot). The milk tea tastes like it did the last times I was in HK. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and comforting in its own way. This place is a true gem and we will be back again soon to try more. Thank you, Rubato crew!PS. Y’all play the best jams🎵

Hong Kong Cafe: what do users think?
Brittney Conover: ****BEWARE THE OTHERS ARE RIGHT****I ended up with a case of food poisoning so bad from this place after my 3rd takeout order I had to be hospitalized. I was knocking on deaths door by day 5, no exaggerating. It was the worst experience of my life so far and I'm not very old. DO NOT RISK IT. THEY SHOULD NOT BE SERVING FOOD. MISTAKES WERE MADE. LISTEN TO THE WARNINGS! Why are they in business still?!?I order takeout from here and it's very tasty. They actually make their dishes spicy. You also get a good portion for the price, and it's one of the few Chinese restaurants around here that include rice with their entrees.
John T: Very fast, well priced, and great tasting.
sean: I live nearby and I love ordering food from here. Its so comfortable and reasonably-priced. The staff is very friendly too.Things I like: Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and those little complimentary bbq ribs that you can choose in the dinner specials, lol
Tyler Vincent: I love this place, quality food, and great family run restaurant. Miles better than any chain food. Having lived in Asia for several years, this is where I go for my fix
Elias D: This place keeps my husband and I alive with their quality Chinese food ... Specifically the Singapore rice noodles and ma Po tofu. Plus they do free crab Rangoon with Orders above $45. You really can't go wrong with anything here for your late night Chinese food needs (or regular hours). Very friendly staff, too.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kenji K: Solid Chinese and Chinese-American food, reasonably priced and fast.
Seemab Urooj Hartmann: Terrible service. My order was not fulfilled, I called to explain and the gentleman hung up onme without escalating or correcting the issue. Very disappointing and thanks to Grub Hub for the great customer service.
Pranit Upadrasta: Scratches the Chinese food craving itch perfectly.I have ordered delivery from here several times. They are very reasonably priced for the area and they catered to my request for extra spicy food.Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes …More
Corey: Great lunch value - food was delicious and staff was polite. Teriyaki chicken was very well done. Highly recommend :)
Louie Rabinovitz: Hands down the best Chinese food in Brookline
Yoshi YN: Authentic quality & reasonable price. Handmade dumpling was excellent! I’ll definitely repeat it.Takeout: Yes …More
Dean Hazineh: I love living near this place. Go there once a week. Good fast Chinese takeout.
Frank C: Been taking-out from Hong Kong for many years and the food has also been excellent, including the pan fried Ravioli, beef and chicken dishes, and I love the spicy fish.
Rocio Bezada: food was terrible, taste like it was yesterday leftovers , will never come back again.
DJ P.: Seriously can't find any better Chinese food in the Boston area. ALWAYS fresh. Most of the negative reviews are from 3 to 7 years ago or are about Grubhub issues -- Give it a try because it has definitely improved!!! Thank you Hong Kong Cafe
Jennifer Morrison: Had take out tonight - ate the food within 25 minutes - it was very good! Exceeded our expectations based on some reviews. The woman who took our order was pleasant, food was prepared quickly and the price was very fair.We had wonton soup, boneless spare ribs, beef with peppers&onions and chicken lo mein "spicy". All dishes were very generous portion size, tasty and lean.We will definitely order again from here when in the area. We are a bit snobby about food and this was much better than we anticipated!
Linda Percy: I ordered twice through GrubHub. Shrimp in black bean sauce had to be thrown out both times. Shrimp were mushy and tasted sour. Other items overcooked or incredibly greasy.
Jordan L: Ordered delivery from this place. Waited an hour and a half for my order. Finally called to ask where my delivery was (because I live maybe 5 minutes up the street) and the woman who answered claimed that she “called to cancel my order because I ordered sauce on the side and they can’t do that”. I never received a phone call, so that is just a blatantly lie. They NEVER called me. When I asked if I could have my order without the sauce on the side, all the woman said was that she was too busy and then hung up on me. Don’t bother giving your business here. Incredibly rude staff that also make up lies.
Mike Scinto: Ordered once but the order got taken by someone else before I could pick it up — ordered the same order again and let them know, and they threw in some extra crab rangoons. The food here was really good. I got the General Gau’s. 👍🏻
T. J. Hartford: Decent food, zero ambiance. It was like many shoestring Chinese places that could care less about outward poo presentation and had exactly one table to sit at. I'd go again but without a date.
Liz Brydon: Surprised by the negative reviews. The portions are huge and all the food I tried tasted great. Definitely returning again.

wayne li: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5More
Eva Princess: 雖然店名是西貢小食但其實是賣好吃的香港小食😋咖喱魚蛋還沒拍照就吃完了~牛腩燉的很爛很入味且份量大!雲吞餡料豐富實在,還多買了一份冷凍的👍🏻
Shirley Leung: Very homey comfy place.Definitely reminds me of the times I went to HK, got the won ton noodles ^^Recommended dishes Wonton Noodle …More
Zhihang Chen: Best chilli oil in Quincy, there no other place or market you can find with similar taste. Highly recommend to try their wonton noodle with chilli oil.
Yen Truong: Homey authentic restaurant. It hasn't changed in almost a decade when I worked in Quincy.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Allison Quan: saigon corner holds a place in my heart. it is a long time favorite of my family's for three generations now.they have unmatched food that i have yet to best at any establishment. their soups have flavor made over the course of days and their meat simply melts in the mouth.the staff there are comprised of polyglots and aunties and uncles. the atmostphere is light hearted and caring as they truly are a familu restaurant
Michael Pham: I'd say this is a nice hole in the wall for some nice cheap food that is really good. Well known spot for their wontons. This is my go to place now since my favorite place closed during Covid. I'm happy they have a honey lemon tea drink that reminds me of the other place.
JakovPeace: Love it. The wonton LoMein is def very homey and authentic. I happened to deliver to this location and decided let’s take lunch here.Okay wait time.Owners only seems to be able to speak mainly Cantonese. They also only accepts cash.It comes with a soup you can pour in.4 stars because the price does seem a little high for the portion the other reason their opening hours can change without much notice online.
Joe: Very good Cantonese comfort food. Very friendly staff. Most people do take out since there's not many tables to sit and eat there.
Marcos Miranda: I hate to one star anyone but this is not for me. Location, cleanliness, appearance, flavor… none of it worked for me.
Jason T: Best HK restaurant ever!
Jay Sh: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Delivery: No Curbside pickup: NoMore
Yanni Pang: Wonton noodles are very yummyDine in: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
cute灬卖萌: 牛腩捞面系熟悉哏味道,沙爹牛都好食
Jea Kim: Decent hole in the wall restaurant in Quincy chinatown. After finding out that this place was one of the most highly reviewed restaurants in the area, I decided to give them a try. Had a hard time communicating with the owners of the restaurant, but I was able to order what I wanted nonetheless. Got the black pepper steak, fried egg, and sausage over rice, but the overall quality of the food was not so great. Portions were huge, but the black pepper sauce was too overwhelming with artificial flavors. A good option to have when you’re really hungry, but not the best deal for the price.
Davis Le: Limited seating, very good food. Dumplings are unlike any other place.3 year update: This place is still one of the only reasons why I visit Quincy. The food and atmosphere feels very nostalgic to local restaurants back in Asia.
Dave Han: Heard the wontons here are the best in Quincy and yes they are BUT the wontons in Quincy really aren’t that good, curb the enthusiasm here. Ordered baked Tomato sauce pork chop rice, which was good but the curry brisket rice is not so much. Asked for no onions but of course there’s onions. Also note this place is Cash Only, 3 stars .... still searching for the best wontons
Angie Tse: Their beef stew is amazing! Best I’ve had since moving to the US.
Anna Zheng: The noodles taste great and I love the beef noodle soup! The curry fish balls are amazing as well. I usually get a herbal drink to go along with everything and get it all for an amazing low price! Definitely a place to try, they're all really nice!
Lynda Bohemian: 🤮
Chris Yiu: Awesome hong kong food
