Kate: Really bad food and service experience. Vegetables in the tagine were definitely frozen peas and carrots from a grocery store. Lamb tagine was sickly sweet. They need to hire more staff and improve quality of food.

I regret going to this place.

We ordered some drinks and they did not even serve us and charged in the bill. K H: I recently ordered two wraps to go from Aleppo and I must say, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The shawarma I ordered was dry and tasteless.It's clear that the ingredients they used were of low quality, and the overall presentation of the food was subpar. It was not worth the price I paid for it.Furthermore, the service was slow and the staff seemed uninterested in making sure that the customers were satisfied with their food. Overall, my experience at Aleppo was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quality meal.

Amir Farjadian: We were a party of 8 celebrating a wedding anniversary.Mostly we ordered burgers and rossite chicken.Burgers were not as outstanding but the chicken was ok.The thing that was quite abnormal to me was an item on the bill called "kitchen administration fee".We were charged +8$ for that.I don't quite understand this.The food prices were definitely not on the lower end, we are also happy to tip as that is only fair - but kaf!!?

Chickpea salad/balela was BATHED IN RAW ONION (see pics) and vinegar; chicken was pink inside and had an odd texture/smell to it, despite its overall bland flavor; gagged on hummus so acidic that it smelled and tasted rancid; the last straw for me was when I spat out a short, dark human hair from a bite of the lentil rice! (Nasty!) Took a couple pictures for this review and threw everything away, it was so gross.Also, regarding sanitation: Didn't touch the pita bread I was given since it was handled "raw" by a GLOVELESS cashier who alternated osculating money/cards at the register with touching food -- no, he did not wash or sanitize his hands first. (EW!) Ample kitchen staff did not wear masks or hair restraints of any kind such as a hat, hairnet, or bandana; nor did they ask patrons to wait outside despite a group of 12+ bar-flies entering all at once into the small waiting area (3' x 4'-ish) at "bodies touching" proximity. Seemed like the perfect breeding ground for foodborne illness and COVID/flu......Needless to say, I am disappointed and disgusted by this experience, all around. NEVER AGAIN!

Saman Pezeshki: We just ordered and picked up maybe 8-9 sandwiches mostly falafel and a chicken shawarma. There were 3 Indian ladies making them and although I have been coming here for years, tonight was horrible. I think they were new employees. They put so much hot sauce and so much condiments on the sandwich that it was wet and soggy and none of us could eat it. It was nice of them to include an eggplant dish complimentary but honestly we were all disappointed and it ruined our dinner.

Tariq Atiyat: Was hoping to try their Shawerma but learned when I went there that all the shawerma meats are cooked once in the morning and kept in a heated station. I think this reduces food quality significantly especially that shawerma is meant to be cut off the broiler directly to the sandwich. Otherwise it is no longer "shawerma".

M Rubin: NEVER again no Tahini with the falafel not satisfied, plenty of other places that are higher quality. No fork no napkins included, I will AVOID at all costs, here in Newton we have many other quality, reliable, reputable choices. Before you start charging $15 with tax TINY falafel BITES Overpriced without Tahini- Think TWICE not to CHEAT consumers!!!!
