Andrew K. Smith: Tags lives up to the slogan "Ace | The Helpful Place". The folks in the paint department were very helpful in providing high quality Benjamin Moore paints and advice on re-painting a Cambridge area apartment quickly and affordably when the exact swatches couldn't be found. You also can't beat the location, layout, and number of staff available to help. I wish some of the tools weren't locked. But there is a fair amount of retail theft in Porter Square, so that can be forgiven. The store also carries a number of kitchen housewares that would appeal to people in the area. Skip Home Depot and give Tags a try if you're within two miles of Porter Square. The parking area needs improvement, but it's free and off-street, which is rare in Cambridge.
Joseph Chow: They sell 2" letters kit and 2" numbers kit gold on black. They sell 36 grit sandpaper (50 grit or lower). Proper eye protection, hand protection, face protection required for using 50 grit sandpaper or lower. Perfect for waiting the 87 bus to Arlington via Davis.

China Gonna: Horrible. There’s mice all over the store. I couldn’t even contine shopping bc I had 2 mice run across the aisle while I was shopping. So gross. I told an employee and they acted like it was normal. Really gross and plus they have nothing you need here just overpriced regular household items

If we want to discuss yelling, when I walked in an employee was in a yelling match with a different customer, perhaps you meant them. This didn't feel relevant in my initial review since it was not my experience, but I find it pretty alarming to be accused of this for posting an honest review. Liner Liner: The young African American boy that works here is very rude. I ask for his help and he walks away and never comes back. When I walk to the back to try to find somebody else to assist me I found him sitting in another room in the back on his phone. He failed to even ask another coworker to help me find what I was looking for like he lied and told me he would. this is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with this young man. Another time he told me the store was out of stock of something that I really needed and without looking he told me the store didn’t sell it when I asked somebody else they found it right away. He seems to not know very much of anything and now has made my last few times coming here horrible. I’ve been going here for over 15 years for my hardware and unfortunately will have to be my last time coming here. Pills just not like how it use to be

Lived in Central a few years back and recently moved back to the area.The employees are helpful and, though it's not huge, the shop its pretty well stocked for typical home/home improvement needs. Since it's a fairly quick walk for me, I'll usually stop here first before looking to order anything online. In addition, they've reliably duplicated keys for me in the past (and today actually!). I've never had an issue with duplicated keys, but if you bring back the problem keys with the receipt they'll help you out.Overall take away: Pill Hardware is a good hardware shop and I'm happy to continue being a patron of it.
Olive Woodward: Two young people behind the counter were too lazy to help me find my item, which was basic primer. I had already been through the whole paint section. When I asked for help, neither got up. They preferred to sit and socialize and just point in the general direction, which was where I had just been. I was the only customer in the store. I had to come back and ask a second time, specifically for the young man to get up and come to the paint section. Both were rude and resentful. The kid that came back with me didn’t know what basic primer was and didn’t care to help me. I will never frequent this store again.
Jacob Lissoos: Incredibly overpriced and very rude staff. ACE recommended me here online for a $6.99 battery that I was charged $16.99 for. When I pointed the error out to the clerk he rolled his eyes at me and told me to just buy it online then. Just go to the ACE store down the street in Inman!

Heather Balda: This is the best company not only for locks, safes and key duplication. This company does security cameras, security doors and programming. They are professional as well as thorough. I am recommending this company to any person in need of anything that has to do with any security, keys locks and cameras. It is worth every dime you spend. You will not be disappointed at all. Tadashi Kamitaki: The locksmith KeyMe sent was awful. If you're locked out of your apartment and need to get in, look elsewhere. Expect hundreds of dollars of total cost and shoddy, sub-par work.
Ryan Trager: Needed 3 keys for 2 different locks. The first one worked perfectly for 1 lock. The second lock I needed 2 keys for and neither works. It's clear that the machine left an outdent on the end of the key that is making it not fit into the key slot. Poor quality. I gave the machine my email and also did not receive a receipt for my order. Poor communications. I tried to call the phone number listed but it doesn't even work. Overall very disappointed in this service and do not plan to use again. I've added a photo of the key where it clearly is protruding incorrectly
