Daniel Harrison: I have purchased a couple of mattresses and a bedroom set from Macy’s in the past, and have always been very satisfied with their quality and service. I am writing this particular review to express my appreciation for my “brick and mortar” Macy’s, located in the Burlington Mall, Massachusetts.A couple of weeks ago I made the trip to Macy’s because I wanted some guidance in ordering a new sofa. On-line shopping has many advantages, but it does not have a Sales Associate named Jean! Jean was terrific: attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. I didn’t have much time, but Jean made my trip well worth while! She suggested a couch I would not have considered on my own, and after trying it out I decided to place the order (I somehow just trusted her!).Unfortunately, the color I wanted was not immediately available, but I decided I could wait until March for delivery. To my surprise, Jean called me last week to say my sofa was available, and it was delivered with white gloves last Friday (literally 11 days from the date of purchase!). I don’t know if the “under promise and over deliver” strategy is part of Macy's corporate culture, but I am one very satisfied customer!And Jean? 100 gold stars to her for her outstanding service and expertise. I love the sofa and I love Macy’s! Keep up the great work!

Kim Kowaleski: Very messy. If it wasn't for the after Christmas clearance, there would be no reason to shop there with so many Marshall's and tj max in the area. Overpriced and understaffed. The employees at the registers were great.

Nicholas Stamoulos: Cai one of the managers there was extremely helpful in helping me with the difficult situation. She went above and beyond going to different registers until she was finally able to solve my issue. They have multiple brand names and generally nice goods. The prices are decent if you catch a sale. My original sales person was new there he bundled a couple of things. I did have a poor experience calling to resolve my issue. I got bounced around once and then hung up on three times.

I was patiently waiting in line in the shoe department with my one item when the male cashier purposely grabbed the lady behind me in line and lead her to another cashier around the corner. After I walked over to where he took the other ladies he mocked me. I have never been treated like this anywhere else. I regret not requesting a manager at the time.

Kyla Gunnell: I went shopping with one of my girl friends and she wanted to buy 1 pair of shorts. We waited in line and there were 2 lines. We were waiting and 2 woman asked if we were in line and we said yes and they stood behind us. Well then the man checking people out looked at us then to the people behind us and took them to another register skipping us completely. We walked behind them and the man made a joke about running away. This was not funny to us as it was obvious he purposefully skipped over us.

There is limited help----that is why prices are low and why it was useful to figure out what I wanted before I entered the store. The woman who helped with with shoes was friendly and quick.

Michelle Diab: After I had this very disappointing experience, the manager made it a priority to reach out to me and make it right!Thank YouFlew in to Boston today from Tampa for work. It’s absolute colder than I expected. I was so happy to learn that Macy’s was attached to the Hyatt Recency, so I could get some warm outerwear. After digging around in their un organized chaos with every size in the wrong place and on different size hangers, I was able to find something. This store is so messy that it makes goodwill look clean and organized. I was ready to go back to my hotel with my jacket & gloves and got to the door I entered at 8:35pm. The store closes at 9pm… but the entrance to the hotel and parking garage was locked. As my luck would have it, the store’s manager on duty lived up to the “masshole” reputation that this city has. They would not open the door for me and made me walk around the city block in my less than prepared attire since I walked thru the hotel. Not only did I get confronted for money by a homeless man, but I fell on the slippery sidewalk. Thank you Macy’s in downtown Boston for the worst experience and welcome I could get to this lovely city.

She was patient, helpful and very friendly.At my mature age and high demand to quality of services it's not easy to make me smile. But she did! As a heavy world wide traveler I would like to say that with her high professionalism and excellent communication skills JoAnn could be a valuable employee in the best stores of the USA and Western Europe in Paris, London, Vienna. Macy's management is lucky having her.

We shop at Macy's at North shore in Peabody Never once have I seen one piece of clothing on the floor. I am a good customer of Macy's, I'm there every week like clock work. A lot of my friends won't go to Macy's in Saugus. Clean up your act and have the people that work for you earn their pay.

Marianne Sheridan: I’ve been shopping at Macys for decades, fiat in NYC and later/now in the Boston area, usually Peabody.Sorry to say I was very unhappy last week when the down escalator was out of commission, several stalls in the ladies room broken & others filthy And the handicap door opener to get into the store didn’t work - and hasn’t worked for at least a month! I tried to call the store manager but the phone number is a well kept secret.Not happy! It might be time to move on to another retailer. 😣

catherine serrano: Went in to return a suit for my son, the lady at the register did not want to help me ordering one online, she was annoyed because I kept asking question of what color suits they had, She told me they did not have my son size for the Calvin Klein suit in Navy, but when I went online they did have it. I also told her the suits were half off and she told me that it was not. Every time I go in to this store they are not helpful at all which is sad because the Macys in NYC have always been helpful in finding sizes for me.
