Joseph Marks: My experience was OK. The showroom, selection, and prices all seem excellent to me. The consultant who helped us through the process was very professional, friendly, and competent. I would easily rate the buying part of the process 5 stars. Where things did not go so well was installation. I bought a granite vanity counter with sink to be installed on a free-standing vanity, and the installers made three mistakes: 1) When looking from above, the counter was rotated relative to the cabinet enough to be noticeable, 2) looking from the front toward the wall, the backsplash was offset to the right of the counter by a good 1/4" which was also easily noticeable, and 3) they were quite sloppy with the silicone on the backsplash, which is now very apparent as the silicone ages and turns a little brown. The installation I would rate a 2.

Rich Schelin: We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel that is, well not going well. The one shining star in all the darkness has been the Granite Place. Unlike all of the other contractors they came and measured when they said they would. They came out and installed half my counters today so we may get a working sink after 15 weeks without, and will be back to install the other half when the right cabinets show up.Luis and Junior were professional, didn't leave a mess, were friendly, and the counters look awesome. They checked in to see if they could come early, then showed up right at the time they said they would. A sadly rare trait in contractors these days.I wish I had the name of the gentleman who came to measure, he was great as well.

Karen Moore: We purchased a quartz remnant to be used for 2 bathrooms since it was the only beige piece they had. They initially cut the slab for the 1st bath, but they did not cut it correctly. Our plumber told us it was cut incorrectly because he couldn’t hook up the sink to the plumbing. The 2nd set of installers came back and wanted to cut our brand new sink so that the quartz would fit. But we told them no, and that they needed to recut the stone to fit the countertop. The 3rd group of installers came and did a good job of finally cutting the piece to fit. However, there was no more of the slab left to use for the 2nd bath. So I went to their stores and saw nothing available that was similar. So I asked for my money back. After 3 weeks and many emails and phone calls, I finally got my check back but only because I went there in person to pick it up. I would never go back to this place again.

Liz Portanova: This store has a beautiful showroom and huge selection. The sales process was great and turnaround was very fast. When we got to install, however, the crew was sloppy. They damaged my brand new cabinets both by breaking interior pieces off the sink cabinet and by banging the counter into a corner on a $1500 panel - damage that could not be fixed and The Granite Place was unwilling to engage with me on addressing. The crew wouldn't have even told me about it if my contractor hadn't seen it happen (they kept silent as my contractor picked up the chipped off piece of wood and said hey watch it!). Additionally, the seam was contaminated with filth from their tools, and I ended up with a dark grey line on white counters. While The Granite Place did provide good service and tried to fix this, the damage was done and only marginally improved. I went here based on all the fabulous reviews on Google so I just wanted to add this perspective. With all the granite options out there, I would not use them again.

Average Joe Schmidt: The team at East Coast Granite is first class. They came highly recommend by our cabinet contractor. (By the way East Coast Granite also does quartzite.) This was our first time ordering granite countertops so we didn’t know what to expect. Before going to them we got our first estimate from one of those big home improvement stores in town. Not a great experience. That place left us feeling like they weren’t 100% certain of what they were doing.But East Coast Granite was completely professional and incredibly friendly. You can tell they’ve done many thousands of jobs and know exactly what they’re doing. As soon as we had our new cabinets installed they sent out a tech to scan the entire kitchen and create a computerized laser map of the precise dimensions for our new countertops. Then their local shop began the work of cutting our counters. It was a busy time of year but they had it all ready to install in a couple weeks. The install team was impressive. They showed up right on time, planned out their moves, answered all our questions and installed our beautiful new counters without a hiccup. Our countertops fit perfectly. The whole experience was far better than we had anticipated. Working with East Coast Granite was an all around fantastic experience.

evan tyrrell: These folks are fantastic. We needed quartz installed in a new construction house. They came through 100%. They were months faster than literally everyone else in Springfield. They got me a bid in an hour and the prices were the same as everyone else. They showed up when they said they would and were done when they said they’d be done. Zero pressure from anyone from sales to install. Sales was great install was great. The countertops look perfect. We even made a mistake on a backsplash that was our fault and they fixed it, no hassle, no questions asked. They cut out our cooktop and it was a perfect fit. Everything fit perfect.I would highly recommend them to anyone. We shopped around EVERYWHERE and these guys were by far the best. They really cared if they got our business unlike Wilgus IQ, Kitchenland and everyone else around. East Coast templated us 2 days, including a weekend, after we paid the deposit. Wilgus, for example, told us it’d be months before they would. They didn’t care at all about getting our large expensive job. That’s fine, guess our money don’t spend the same with them.Throughout this entire build process they are one of our top 5 sub contractors to deal with. Don’t think about it. Call them and use them. You won’t regret it.

You and me. It free, for us, until too many people break the rules and abuse the site, then it will be gone.If this company can't follow simple guidelines, how do you know they're not going to cut corners on your install or sell you inferior products?

They came to template within days of us choosing our slab, and installed a week later. Mariana called before the install to discuss where our seam would fall...they were proposing to change it due to where the veins of the stone were. I told them I trusted their opinion, and the seam is unnoticeable. The install team was professional, friendly and quick. The sprayer for our faucet fell out of eyesight for all of us during the install, so they did not drill the hole for it. I called Paula and she had someone come back that day to drill the hole. From our first phone call to install was less than two weeks; and we couldn't be happier. The countertops look beautiful and we will definitely be recommending Select to our friends and family.
