Cafe Mami: what do users think?
Vincent Cheung: Very authentic curry spot with very limited seating. The pork katsu was very tender and crispy even when it was drenched in their curry. The ratio between the curry, rice, and katsu was also perfect so there was nothing left on the plate.Recommended dishes Pork Cutlet Curry …More

David Kim: Won’t even follow basic instruction - asked to get the sauce on the side and they drenched my katsu in their awful sauce.
Lydia Chew: This cafe is part of the mall's "food court" and eating here was a really strange experience. As a first-time customer, I was quite confused with what to do or where to wait. It turns out that you first get in line and order, but you aren't seated right away. The idea is that you'll be seated around the time that the food is ready, as a way to minimize how long you're sitting there. I can respect the reasons for that, but it definitely isn't my preferred style of dining. Apparently, several of the spots in the food court operate in the same way, including the adjacent ramen place, though I haven't tried it yet.Pictured are the saba miso set (bottom) and chicken tatsuta set (top). I love fish and usually opt for salmon, but I was convinced to try the mackerel, a "traditional Japanese favorite" (according to the menu). The mackerel had a few bones but was fine. There was quite a lot of sauce, which I was glad to use as a topping for my rice. However, the salad was pretty bland and uneventful, and I was just a little confused by the potato. It was okay, but I had just never seen that combination in Japanese cuisine before.I didn't finish all the food - not necessarily because the portions were that large, but just because it wasn't that tasty to me. I think I may have been more interested in the salmon veggie don instead. The dishes here aren't very expensive, but I'd probably opt for a different option instead of trying the food here again. While I understand the reason for it, I didn't love feeling rushed out of there, which definitely colored my perception of this spot.Vegetarian options: not a lot of vegetarian options
Juewei Dong: Great culet Don and Gyu Don, tender protein with just the right amount of seasoning. The price is also very reasonable. I’ve been to restaurants that charge you way more for much less quality Donburis. If you want an affordable takeout but don’t want to compromise the food quality, Cafe Mami is one of the greatest choices in Cambridge area.
Siyi Lin: Good Japanese comfort food at an affordable price. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Small but clean interior, likely to be busy but the line will move quickly. My party got the Gyudon, breaded chicken cutlet curry, and the hamburger steak curry. (My personal favorite is the gyudon because I love sweet and savory meat). The chicken was surprisingly tender as well.
Sarah Lu: Solid prices for the food. Would recommend the Hamburg or chicken dishes—small restaurant w very limited seating but cozy ambience and nice comfort food.
chunwei dong: I went there by myself around 3 PM saying I wanted to dine in. But the waitress didn’t seem pleasant for single dine in. She sent me outside to look at the menu on the wall for takeout. I looked at people dining in there and asked her “ what time did you stop taking dine in “. Then she asked me for the third time if I want to dine in like I was doing something awfully wrong. I confirmed. Then she yelled like there’s no tomorrow “ table B for 1 person” in that 70 sqf space. For the first time I’ve ever experienced such a discrimination for being just 1 person even though there’s nobody else waiting. food is salty and taste boring. It may deserves two or three stars but the service I receive really brought down the whole experience.

Mari: Don’t get the udon.Do get the beef rice dish (yaki don) with extra beef.
Victoria P: The hambagu is definitely the standout dish. The portion size is sooo filling but you can also order an upsized hambagu steak. I love all of the sauces and that it comes with a little baked potato as well. The hambagu itself is always perfectly cooked and so juicy. I’ve had it through uber eats as well and haven’t experienced any loss of quality.Overall you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu— it’s also such a great deal for the price! However it’s very very small with limited seating so plan to arrive early or wait ~15-20 min during busy times.

KC Chen: Everything at the restaurant was great especially the yakitori! The vibe was nice, staff was friendly and very efficient. Super affordable! There is a line so do make reservations ahead of time!Would definitely recommend!
Marc: When asked by a friend how the food was, "Love in a bowl" was the first thing that came to mind.Absolutely incredible.
Tian Zhao: Our first visit since its relocation from Allston. Grilled hokke (atka mackerel) was too salty, and fried beef tongue was a bit overcooked. The others were pretty good. Would recommend fried oysters, chicken namban, and yakitori.
Jiayu Shi: I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant and plan to come back often. However, I've noticed that like some restaurants in Boston, the waiter swipes your card in front of you at checkout and asks you to enter the tip in front of them. The minimum tip amount is set at 18% of the total price after tax, with tipping options of 18%, 20%, and 22%. Personally, I don't appreciate this type of behavior from restaurants and it makes me uncomfortable.
Ryan Wetzel: We've gone out to the new hot spots all over and come to realize, some of the absolute best are the staples that have been around for the long haul. Varied menu from yakitori to sashimi to noodles, you won't find better Japanese food in Boston. Prices are reasonable and solid selection of Japanese beers and sake. Took me 20 years to find this gem and will definitely be back.
Nicholas Panzarella: Great Japanese cuisine. Authentic, too!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Bella Wang: Okonomiyaki was tasty. I’m not a connoisseur but it was satisfying. I’m mostly reviewing this so I can remind myself never to order the sushi again. It’s terrible and not fresh. It came out last because I think they were defrosting it. Rice was soggy and unseasoned too.
Nhu Phung: Great food! Taste like Im back in japan, highly recommend everything--okonomiyaki, skewers, nigiri etc.
Biao Li: In comparison to other Izayaka locations in Boston, this is by far the best one. Super busy on weekends but well worth the wait. Friendly staff and service.

Bosso Ramen Tavern: what do users think?
Khoi Nguyen: Good ramen.
Beau Cote: First time we’ve been here and we’ll probably be back. Ramen was good and apps were good. Ramen felt like it needed a little more considering the price (it’s a tad expensive for how basic it is but the taste is top notch). We kinda wish is was either just ramen or just small plates. Atmosphere was busy. We got a nice corner table away from people but it was definitely very loud and it took away from the quality of the food a little. Overall we’ll be back but hopefully it won’t be as chaotic.
Tim D: My fiancée and I decided to give Bosso a try the other night and both of us had a very underwhelming experience. The broth here tasted like it was made from Boston tap water. We were hoping for authentic Japanese cuisine, it was disappointing to say the least. The quality does not match the pricing. I ordered sushi which was served as a nontraditional hand roll, and the texture of the rice was very squishy. The whole experience was just not worth the wait, I would not consider returning; there is better quality Japanese food experiences in Boston.
Haruka Yamashita: I’m Japanese, and I think Bosso has the best Ramen in Boston!! I love visiting here. My favorites are umami ramen, torotaku (sushi) and gyoza. Staffs are all very lovely and the services are excellent too
Anna Belle Harada: I recently dined at Bosso Ramen Tavern, and our experience quickly soured when we were served the wrong dish. We initially didn't make a big deal out of the mistake because the restaurant was very noisy. However, our server accused our table of lying about our order, despite our fluency in Japanese, and insisted that we had ordered the incorrect dish. Given the outrageous prices (+$50/person), coupled with the average quality of the food, we cannot recommend Bosso Ramen Tavern.
Riccardo Tripodi: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sarah Ander Shultz: Really tasty ramen spot!
Danielle Waldman: The only thing better than the noodles is the IMPECCABLE service from Yasu!!! I can't get enough of this place!
Tre Shockley: Tasty, but ramen portion sizes too small :(
Morgan Pratt: The portions were very small, had ingredients that clashed, and the atmosphere was very awkward. The vegan ramen had what tasted like chorizo and pickles and was very peppery. I could barely see anything and the cultural interpretation was a stretch.Dietary restrictions: They had vegan options but they were strange and expensive.
Gorgio Sac: The Best Ramen Ever 3
Adriana Azar: Original food. We enjoyed our dinner. However, even with a reservation, we still had to wait 30minFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carolyn Lu: Really interesting ramen. Really enjoyed the sanmi tomato flavored ramen.
C. G. Walker: Exceptional Ramen restaurant in a city full of a lot of competition. Cozy, fun intimate interior. Quality of the food is just exceptional. Be sure to try the smoked salmon potesala, it's to die for!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sara Modiano: Excellent noodles, unique tastes, warm atmosphere.
david we: Very nicely decorated restaurant. Stopped in for a late night dinner. We started with the beef and Uni hand roll and shrimp tempura roll. Then tried the Karami Ramen and a glass of umeshu plum wine. The ramen noodles are cooked perfectly and the broth very tasty.
yanni (Yanni): The ramen is authentic with some fusion elements in it. The broth is flavourful without heavily salted and seasoned. The owner is from the Boso Peninsula in Japan from what I heard from the staff.Highly recommend Sanmi Ramen if you like creamy tomato tonkotsu broth.Karami Ramen tastes like a Dan Dan Noodle inspired tonkotsu ramen, but it still taste good. The staff are super friendly and enthusiastic about ramen. Cozy atmosphere.A little bit pricey but the food quality justifies the price.
Tunc Oz: This place ruled the first month after they opened but the quality of the food has gone down substantially over time. Still it’s an a good vibe and the people are quite friendly.
Pol: Definitely not authentic Japanese food. It's just expensive fusion food with very small portion size.Food: Lunch menu is very limited--only Raman and "sushi" (not real sushi, more like onigiri) Raman is mediocre --salty, small portion, few ingredients and noddle is nothing close to amazing. The "sushi" is just big rice ball with tiny bit of topping.Other: it's much trouble just to pay the bill-- you have to register online with phone number +email + put in your credit card info...
anika balaconis: Lovely sake. Great hand sushi. Ramen noodles weren't the thick dense kind; they were the white thin kind.

Colleen Flessas: Food was awesome!! We had a party of 9 and we all got teppanyaki(chicken, steak, scallops, shrimp). I think the chicken was a fan favorite and the fried rice was awesome. The chef was fun with all your typical hibachi fare, onion volcanoes, sake and entertainment. Highly recommend!Parking: Free parking in garage!
Janett Brown: It's been a long time. Soon again. Awesome food, service & price!
Natalie Reich: We tip out the hibachi guy in cash after food is prepared (also give $5 to sushi chef directly). Then we get bill, completely overcharged but we don’t fight it. Tip 20% between the cash tip and card tip. The waiter comes over in front of the entire table and demands we tip more- we explain we also tipped in cash and hes trying to explain why he’s demanding more of a tip. We continue to explain WE TIPPED IN CASH DIRECTLY TO THE CHEF plus an additional $15 for the server (who did a whole lot of nothing & took 30 mins to bring one drink)- between both cash tips and card tip equating to more than 20% of the bill. The other patrons at our table were appalled at the servers behavior. It ruined the whole experience. Rude and honestly a shake down for mediocre service- a tip is not guaranteed and if you are being tipped 20% you should not shake down your customers for more. The server says “sorry about that” on the way out- manager says the staff is not supposed to ask for more tip, but just read the reviews! This clearly is a common practice here. I NEVER Karen out like this, but i was shocked at how we were treated when already tipping 20%. Shame on these people. Do not recommend.

Brian Chan: This is a perfect place to go to for both entertainment and food. The chefs dazzle with quick handiwork and splashes of flame as they cook your whole group's dinner right in front of you. There are plenty of options, both surf and turf, and even sushi/sashimi in generous portions. The tiki drinks are fitting for the casual fun atmosphere.
Bill Gaudette: I was pleasantly surprised to find quality sushi at a hotel restaurant. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and I had a great time watching the chefs entertain a party of several children with their parents. There was enough room to enjoy our conversation while everyone else was being entertained, which really made a difference.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sushi …More
lc Onti: Zero desire to go back. Went Saturday night with my husband for dinner and we were essentially ignored because they were too busy focusing on the sweet 16 party next to us and the 21st birthday a few tables over. Totally get that hibachi is a fun celebratory dinner but if you can’t manage groups and also cater to individual dinner parties you shouldn’t advertise as a restaurant. The host had headphones in and barely spoke to us. Just told us we couldn’t sit anywhere but where she put us in a corner. Sat at 8:15 hibachi chef came over until 9 pm.

Jacky Chen: Had a wonderful experience eating dinner with my girlfriend. The staff were pleasant and fast getting us seated and serviced. However, I do noticed a lot of people giving the hostess a lot of hard time about being seated. Folks, if you made a reservation at a busy habachi place and expected to be seated right away without a complete party, you're gonna have to wait. Because when you're seated, they take your orders and getting the food prepped in the back. If you are missing people, then they aren't able to take orders which will delay the process for others. Been in her situation before so I understand the confusion from the customers. So please consider this.

zac a: Coming from the west coast (that's my hook), it was ok. The prices were reasonable, and so was the food, not great, but reasonable. Wouldn't recommend the scallop hand roll (wasn't fresh to my taste), but the fish was good and fresh. I love Tobiko with egg, and was happy to see it on the menu, but it was goopy because they left the egg white (you're supposed to only use the yolk). The hand rolls are worth while, good price and quantity, get that.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian rolls.

Kenneth Livingston: A little pricey but great sushi!
Guangyang Li: Food is fine but overpriced
Mike Dunn: Kind of blah
Stephen Yuwono: The taste is superrrr terrible. The worst Japanese food I’ve tried in USA. The cooking oil also bad, got sore throat after eating here.
Stephen Zicha: Salmon and yellowtail Sashimi was great. But the signature ichiban sushi dish clearly had canned tuna. Will not order that again.
Drenusha Krasniqi: The rolls are tasteless (we had three different rolls). And the veggie dumplings are okay. Definitely not worth the price.
Nathaniel Huang: Don't come to this place, if you value cuisine in any way, shape, or form do not come here. I am in no place to argue prices but for what we got for the price at which we got it, I have nothing else to leave with other than a feeling of deep dissatisfaction. Not only did they charge nearly $3 for a cup of tea, an offering usually synonymous with a free glass of water when it comes to Asian restaurants, but there were numerous points at which I was concerned with overall cleanliness. I still want to provide something positive and have this be somewhat legitimate criticism rather than a spirited rant so I will say that the service was decent and the food alright. Nothing more than an average if not slightly below average restaurant.
KAINOA A: Absolutely love this establishment and location. The server and staff are always so friendly! Food is always consistent and so tasty and very reasonably priced! Always come to this location and does not disappoint at all. Recommend!!!
Bo Jiang: As a doordash guy, I am gaving one star because the lady manager behave in harsh, pushy, and unprofessional way.

Momi Nonmi: what do users think?
張植康: Fantastic dining experience! The omakase was well designed and each dish tasted fabulous. The chef was very friendly and informative and fun to talk to. The price was definitely worth it :)
Michelle Levine: Chef Chris’s omakase experience is wonderful. The fish is so fresh and prepared in a very traditional way (just like you find in Japan). The experience is very personal and special - he walks you through everything he is doing and answers questions thoughtfully and respectfully. He is a clearly a master of his craft. I will definitely go back. Best omakase in boston!
Siddharth Jejurikar: My partner and I just had the most wonderful anniversary omakase dinner here. Chef Chris’s dedication to using the best ingredients with no preservatives and doing everything in-house shines through in the excellent food. Would highly recommend contacting the Chef to set up your dining experience, this restaurant is a gem in the area and He is very invested in giving you a memorable experience. Although not traditional to an omakase and requiring extra work, he spent several hours to incorporate our love for Unagi into the most amazing final course of eel for our meal, as an example. Momi Nonmi has quite the curated Sake collection as well!
Christopher Schlieve: Truly an exceptional omakase experience. I have lived overseas, traveled to Kyoto/Tokyo, and have frequented several omakase establishments in Boston and New York, including Sushi Zo, Masa, O-Ya, Uni , Umami Omakase, etc. if you haven’t experienced Momi Nonmi, you are truly missing out.We have been frequent visitors since they opened in 2017. Chef Chris is exceptionally passionate about his craft and delivering a personal experience. Prior to the dining experience, he specially reaches out to you to tailor your experience to include “favorites” that you request and provides an intimate presentation during your visit. He is creative, curious and believes in serving only the best to his customers. For those inexperienced, he takes great care in crafting a course that explores the freshest and most seasonal ingredients. If you want an experience that reflects the level of care, precision and passion you’d expect in Japan, this is your place! Sign up for the Instagram and email list so you don’t miss out on pop ups and takeout options not on their website. You won’t regret it!

Jea Kim: Interesting takeout specials from an omakase place.Recently got their uni donburi, jigoku chirashi, and the regular chirashi, and everything was superb. The ordering process was a bit complicated as it required me to fill out a long Google form and a phone call at specific time frame for payment. Nevertheless, it was definitely worth the hassle. Uni donburi was topped with staggering amount of uni, and the array of sushi bits on the chirashi don was also unique and interesting. Uni here was less briny and more creamy and buttery than what I’m used to, but I enjoyed it. On the other hand, the quality of the sushi on top of the chriashi was not the best, but understandable given the price.Overall, this place definitely stands out in East Cambridge for its inventive sushi dishes. Chef Chris also seemed to be a creative and detail-oriented itamae, and I would definitely return to try his omakase.
Teddy Kitchen: Incredibly intimate and high level culinary experience. Chef Chris is a master of his craft, and it was great to hear him explain all of the dishes and ingredients and the tremendous amount of thought and work put into everything. One of the best meals I have ever had.
Seong Hwang: Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: YesMore
William Shinevar: Absolutely fantastic omakase experience. Worth every penny and chef Chris is a wonderfully funny guy! I especially loved the Japanese baby Spanish mackerel nigiri and the tofu-sesame crab appetizer.
Kaitlin B: Best fish in Boston
Adam Burke: Sublime omakase where the fish is the star! An amazing meal from Chef Chris.
fRobert Myers: Phenomenal take out sushi and other food by an amazing chef. The ordering process is a little complicated, but it's worth it for the specials Chef Chris periodically offers. I honestly can't wait to try indoor dining when things look better.
Ryan Pitts: Personal Omakase dinner with Chef Chris was one of the best dining experiences we ever had! Just two of us with the chef having a cultural learning experience plus enjoying some delicious fresh nigiri! Several ingredients were made in house, the fish were delivered that day, and the sake selection paired perfectly. Highly recommend. Great option during COVID as Chris takes many precautions and keeps the place clean!
Tiffany Leung: By far, the best sushi around. I appreciate Chef Chris’s thoughtfulness when he prepares the meals - he labels the container, outlining the sequence in which you should eat the fish, and includes a spreadsheet, indicating which fish is what. Of course you can eat in whatever order you want, but the flavor is optimal in the order he lays out. Tastes just like the sushi I had in Tokyo. Seriously. Fish is so fresh.
Elias Torchalla: If you are looking for an elegant dining experience this is not your place. If you are looking for an outstanding food and palate experience this is you place! In times of covid things are different. In this case covid had a positive side effect. Chef Chris had us as his only guests for the Omakase and it was amazing. He paid great attention to detail from the selection of the sake to the last course of the Omakase. The preparation and quality of ingredients was outstanding and hard to rival. If it weren't for the price tag, we would come every week, but then it would not be special anymore! We will definitely be back though...
Celeste Fahnert: We had an amazing Omakase dinner and it was perfection. Fantastic, unique dishes and some great sake. I highly recommend reaching out to the chef and setting up your done in experience. It's a small place and I believe he is only doing two seatings per night right now. We had the entire place to ourselves
Sid Brobst: One of my go-to places to eat. convenient location, neat, and fantastic service. Very good job!
Julia Liburdi: I grew up in Tokyo, Japan and have been living in the US for the past 7 years. This is without a doubt the most authentic Japanese flavors I’ve had in the US. It feels like home. The twist of Hawaiian fusion makes it that much more interesting. Everyone who is interested in real Japanese food needs to try this place.
Linda Yao: Where the spam is fancy and the wagyu is down-home. High quality yet low key. Great for a party or solo the bar.
Jieyuan “Jerry” Wu: One of the best dining experience in town!
Beta Zed: Awesome place. More people should eat here. I’ve now been a few times and I really find the food an amazing take on a Japanese izakaya. While the dishes are not the traditional ones you would expect, the flavors are very bold and balanced; you will still recognize them as Japanese. There is also an undertone of Hawaiian influences to some dishes which adds more creativity to the menu. Anyway, check this place out...the restaurant name is a bit unusual and the location might be a little out of the way, but definitely make the effort to try this hidden gem!
