Neville Center: what do users think?
Arturo: One to 2 hours for someone to respond to pressing your help button. You don't get to order what you want to eat from their Cafe.Rehab workouts standard as anywhere else.Lazy workstaff due to payscale.
Cornell Bentley: The staff here really care about the patients, even more so than their own families. These employees sacrifice their time away from home working doubles, triples, etc. whatever they have to do so that the patients are cared for and provided with respect. They all deserve RAISES!!!!!!
Jim Andrews: They mistreat elderly patients.
Kayla Tracey: Very clean facility and friendly, attentive staff!!
caroline loiacono: The Neville center is by far one of the best nursing homes in the boston area! My grandmother has stayed at many facilities that were dirty, understaffed, and unsafe. We haven’t seen any of these issues the past few months she’s been at Neville. The rooms and common areas are kept clean, the staff are beyond friendly and care so much for the community members. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy facility for their loved ones.
Miguel Encarnacion: One of the nicest looking nursing homes I have ever seen. It is so modern and new not like the other nursing centers I toured. I would actually live here.
Lex Jacobs: This is a horrible place in my opinion. Please do not send any of your loved ones here. Tonight a woman was screaming for help and three nurses refused to listen to help her. This may be something the woman does but it does NOT give them the right to ignore her! I unfortunately had to say something to them so the poor woman could get some help. It’s scary to think your loved ones are being treated this way.
Edward Mcdermott: My mom was sent to Neville from MGH, she arrived with COVID and they were aware? they put her in a regular room (not COVID) TV didn't work, my mom has a bladder problem and can't get out of bed yet,so she pushed her nurse button and took a while, and finally a nurse or aid came in and after asking for help was YELLED AT! The next day mom was put in a COVID room, and again No TV (nobody had a remote??) I was on the next flight from Florida that night,so once again my mom needs help with going to the bathroom and slow response her diaper was full and half off, because of this she now has a UTI, I witnessed staff on cell phones a LOT, I called cooperate#978-372-4004Steve, and heard my concerns (I called the lead nurse and social worker at 9am,and finally at noonish Steve called me back with the lead nurse and social worker on 3way call and was assured that things would be better? They weren't, also food is under par, no toast for bkst or bread with dinner, some things on the meal ticket don't even arrive, also cold meatloaf?no potatoes on plate etc etc,I have not received any calls to see how things are,no empathy just drain the system for$$$$, My best visits were in the day (April)at front desk is a PURE ANGLE, SO please reconsider sending a Loved one to Neville I doubt this will even get posted, so find a better place,it says 5stars, I believe they monitor the negative post's,as it seems that there aren't any??
Leo: If you really do care about your family member do not bring them here, very dirty , feces on the floor in the rooms. Debris on the floor. These people DO NOT respond to rooms when you press the button. 80+ degree rooms, no air circulation. I really looks like a corrections facility. This is all first floor, I don't even want to imagine what the other floors look like.
Valerie Vancura: Wonderful facility and amazing staff!
Allen Whitaker: I was a Rehab. patient at Neville from late July to late August 2020 following Rotator Cuff Surgery. I've had CP since birth so I really needed to learn how to walk safely following the surgery. The staff were exceptional, compassionate and professional for my entire stay. My stay was during height of COVID during a very hot Summer. Although the staff had to wear full face and body coverings to prevent spread and I never got COVID, the staff were always kind patient and so helpful! I miss Marissa, Nichole and all the PT's, OT's, Nurses and Aides who helped me get better and taught me so many good ways of coping. I walk with walkers now, but I'm back home and safe thanks so much to Neville! Thank You all! Allen Whitaker.
Joan Aragones: On our second day visit the toilet was dirty. The room has not been cleaned so we cleaned it. They put a diaper on him which he did not need. The staff is not friendly and they don’t treat the elderly right.
Ivette garcia: This PLACE IS OPEN 24 Hours and No One Ever Answers
Thomas Litrenta: After surgery, I have been to the Neville Center on 3 occasions in the past 2 years. All stays were for moderate orthopedic issues. It is always difficult for a patient to remain in a rehab center for 24 hours a day. You are largely confined to your bed or chair all day. Believe me it is no fun!!The staff at Neville Center was very aware of this fact and they ALL went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I have stayed sat 2 other rehab centers where the staff often became threatening and aggressive! The medical care at Neville is excellent. They may have saved my life. One of the nurses noticed that an infection developed after back surgery. They took a picture sent it to my surgeon who rushed me back to the operating room for more surgery. I was then released back to Neville where I was administered many days of IV treatment. The physical and occupational therapists were top quality and very caring. I was given 2 hours a day of PERSONALIZED physical therapy. At another institution I was given 1 hour of GROUP PT. Since there were 8 patients in a group that amounted to about 6 minutes of SIMPLE PT. That rehab center falsely advertised each patient got 3 hours of personal PT a day. Finally the patients at Neville are NOT ALARMED to their bed. They are free to use an assistive device to navigate especially in their room. This alarming of beds is a abusive practice. Studies have shown that fall rates and injuries are NOT reduced whenever bed alarms are used. Only patient comfort is severely compromised.Furthermore you can be sure that some staff member will be greatly offended if your alarm goes off. At a different facility one staff member threatened to tie me to the bed. I had waited 35 minutes for her to take me to the bathroom and finally had to get up on my own. I had no choice at that point. If you are choosing a rehab center ask them "DO YOU ALARM THE BEDS?" If the answer is yes, hang up immediately and choice another rehab location. It will save you a GREAT DEAL of unpleasantness. Don't believe when they say the ALARMS are for your benefit. They are totally for staff convenience and power.I think Neville Canter was an excellent choice for me and I would go there again for more rehab anytime.
muriel dyas: my stay here has been atrocious. No routine in medication distribution, most staff unengaging. little rehab time...food horrible and never get what you order. Never again
Pamela Dixon: This place is horrible along with the staff. The abuse and neglect my mother endure was unbelievable. I left several messages with directors regarding meetings, nothing. I hope no one else received abuse my mother went through with staff.
Margaret Demopoulos: This is a nursing home, not a rehab. Please don’t be misled like I was.
Maureen Celli: My family and I can not rave enough about the Neville Nursing Home in Cambridge. This is the 3rd nursing home our mother has been moved to and Neville is the BEST! Our mothers health has improved, her physical strength is better, her happiness, and the smiles, laughter and communication conveys joy. A big difference since she has been at Neville. As her children, we now enjoy visiting her because we see a new Mom. Thank you to the staff, the attention and the care. Neville Center delivers just what our mother needs.
Janet Ferreira: Worst care ever for someone that is there for pt. 15 minutes of pt daily? Try reaching someone to talk to for information, impossible! Try getting a nurse, impossible! Try getting a doctor never gonna happen. Do not have a loved one go there. Just today I have been trying to speak with someone, anyone since 3:00 someone did call me back at 3:56 but still no answers, she is the nursing director and can’t get thru to them? She did finally get thru to them and called me back at 4:45,which I’m grateful for, but I don’t understand why nobody picks up the phone there.
Kevin Bucelewicz: Great place! Friendly attentive staff! It's comforting to know my Mother is being taken care in such a clean, comfortable and compassionate environment! Thank you! Crystal is Amazing!!!
Laurie D'Errico: The staff at Neville was professional, knowledgeable and caring during my short term rehab stay, I would highly recommend the Neville Center at Fresh Pond

Cambridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center: what do users think?
Lis Gomez: This place is very poor in service. Please stay away from this place.
Aurelove Cleaning: Stay away from this place if you are an agency or a company and DO NOT signed contracts with them if you do , you will Not Get Paid . They hired my company as a janitor service , I send them invoices every single weeks and they never make any payments . when I stopped the service , they went behind my back hired one of my staff without any notification from them . The worst part about them every time you called or email they did not reply or answer my phone calls . when I contacted a debt collector about my case with them I found out they have multiples account in collections one of them was medical supplies . Staff managements is very very unprofessional they are not willing to avoid any situation . Right now they still owed my company more then $12000.00 every thing about this place is a mess , the inside of he facility and the patients is Not in good condition .
CT Cambridge: My friend was there and collapsed, they did nothing. 911 was called by my friends wife and they went to.Tufts.
Ray Rich: I am wondering if this was a gd idea to send my dad there with all these bad reviews. We'll c how it goes but if this place as bad as the reviews. On to the next. No time 4 games when ppl lively hoods at stake. Dats all We'll c
Daquanda murchison: When I asked why was the needle laying on a resident’s table I was told he had to administer his own medicine… I use to work here and did everyone else’s Job including mines!! That needle could of been used as a weapon seeing that this place is not just a rehab it is a shelter too!!!!Wellll whoever you are that probably just became a resident there I been working there since September and seen a lot.. but going back to the needle we were clearly downstairs on a weekend in which I never work in the activity room and a resident wanted to charge his phone and he couldn’t get it to work so I WENT upstairs to get his charger so I can fix his phone in which I did but the needle was laying there on the table and when I asked a nurse when I did find one he gave me that answer so you whoever you are have no business commenting on what I wrote because you don’t know what your talking about but carry on and keep making this place try too look good!! That’s why all the real people quit before things got this way I should have too! Good day!!!
Patty Spakoski: 1. I would like to refute the comments made by "DM". I strongly believe that the comment on the photo presented has been taken out of context. I believe the needle, which had not been opened or filled with any medication, was on the table while the nurse was administering additional medications. The nurses only have two hands. Putting the needle in in the pocket of their scrubs might cause them to forget. Calling it a weapon is a bit of a stretch.I am a resident at this facility and no resident is allowed to self administer their own injections. I receive injections and they are administered by the nurse on that shift.2. How could she have been everyone else's job when she was barely performing her job.I completely understand that staff levels are low and it is difficult to attract workers unless the earnings/benefits/perks are exceptional. But to put in writing that she was 'doing everyone else's job' is a blatant lie. She sounds like a disgruntled employee and wanted to if she could get a reaction or response.3. I was unaware that this facility is a shelter. I knew that the facility had to hold a percentage of the beds for military veterans and nothing about holding beds as a shelter.I have seen individuals admitted for injuries and infections and they were discharged after a doctor determines that the ailment as the cause for the admission is healed and no longer a threat to their lives.I have not used my real name, as it is not important. I just wanted anyone reading the comment, I am addressing, to realize that there is no truth to her post. The facility has it faults, but show me a facility that is perfect. I would say, "nice dream, huh?"
Michael McKenzie: I truly believe this place should not operate any further. My mother was recently admitted to this place, and the immediate thing you notice is the unbearable smell of urine when you enter, which gets worse on floor two. At the time it was 87°F, and this facility has been built without central air conditioning. We got different responses from "yes there IS central air" to "no there are window units", eventually coming to the conclusion that there were no air conditioners. My mother was in a pool of her own sweat with an open wound. I had to wash her down, but their plumbing is broken, so her room sink couldn't drain, making it hard to use without overflowing. One of the public toilets in the hallways were clogged with feces the whole time she was there. We had to eventually call an ambulance after they were mistreating her and being unable to get any of my mother's medications on time. They were very adamant on not having my mother leave, but it was clear to me that this could not continue after realizing that this facility is ABSOLUTELY unfit for any post-operated patients, let alone a nursing home. I feel horrible for the people who have to live here.I feel that no person should be allowed to stay in this location under the current state that this building is. I expected better from The City of Cambridge. Some of the staff seem complacent with what happens here. There were some genuinely good people who worked there, but there's staff that I feel are ABSOLUTELY unfit to work a job here.I've gone ahead and attached a couple of pictures I took in the facility. Words can not express how putrid this place was.I warn anyone -- post-op patients OR potential nursing home patients: do not go here. What I witnessed there was unlike anything I've experienced before, and I hope you understand why we needed to leave as soon as possible. I have comprehensive proof to back up these claims, so I don't need to be responded to by this company like the other reviewers were, claiming their testimonials to be untrue.
Victoria: Went to pick my mom up from here today and the place was disgusting. Smelled like urine from the second you walk through the doors. Pushy staff. The woman next to my mom told her to run from there because of how horrible it is. Would not send anyone here.
Anthony Cooper: My sister spent a few days there. No shower for 4 days. Staff acting very unprofessional in every phase of care for the people there. My sister was smart she checked out of there.
Philip Carr0ll: Ok
Margie H: I could not be happier with the care my sister received here. The staff were very caring and concerned in helping her achieve her best possible health.Blessing advocated over and above for her; Wei, the physical therapist, challenged her lovingly to reach her highest potential; Leslie became a wonderful friend and mentor.I am very grateful to them all.
Arlene Granberry: Place needs to be shut down
N P: I wish that I could give this place a 0. It is a nightmare and with COVID it has gotten worse. The staff don't inform families on anything. My mother caught COVID in this facility and a call was never made, the nurse literally yelled and argued with me, and the social worker told me a letter was sent out stating that there was COVID in the facility which I have yet to receive almost a year later. I then just recently got word that my mother was vaccinated after the fact of a staff member calling me for my consent which I said no to the vaccine and that she will send me the waiver form which I never received. This place is a absolute mess and I will be looking to transfer my mother as soon as possible.
nikesh koirala: This company does not even do a simple book keeping job properly...what a mess
Susan Kaszuba: This place is called a rehab but they literally do no rehab! The place is filthy and there is hardly no staff available to help the poor patients. When you are lucky enough to find a staff they are extremely rude and disrespectful and show the patients no respect and don't want to do their job. The family I spoke to of some of the other patients had the exact same problems and complaints and had filed complaints with the state. If you love your family member you will not put them here. BEWARE!
John Gardner: This place is worse then where the Texas chain saw massacre took place! Dreadful staff, God-awful food, and dank & gloomy rooms. I would not have my Dog stay there, let alone family member!
Times News: Norm Michaud, what so called "a professional member" is nothing but a fraud, a phony, and a pathological liar. He’s playing the elders, and the sick as suckers. Dishonesty and abuse are both Norm’s hallmark. I am pretty confident he only belongs to hell.My family had filed a report with Cambridge city council, including the Cambridge police department, against this lightweight for abusing, and denigrating a dear lovable, and a kind family member who has spent his lifetime in service of others and the country. I am heartbroken and in tears as I write this post. I am in agony and pain.We do sincerely advice that you avoid sending your loved ones to this horror dungeon at all costs. I recommend that one makes sure they do consult with elderly services prior moving a family member or a dear friend to 8 Dana street.Once you lose someone to abuse and mistreatment you’ll never forgive yourself.
Jimwiz48: I was unfortunately put here without my approval from Cambridge Hospital which I thought was against the law. The place was a nightmare. The PT staff were very good which is the only thing I can say. I demanded to be transferred after staying in the facility for several weeks. Never again!
Tammy Seaver: This place is the worst place to be employed! The staff are very disrespectful (the nurses talk to each other like they’re in high school) and the administration & HR could care less about your concerns/well being. There is no sense of urgency, I’ve seen a resident fall out of his wheel chair and it took 6 minutes for his nurse to help him. No one is professional at all, supervisors talk to you like you’re a 5 year old with no respect or decency, and you don’t get favored unless you’re of African or Haitian decent. I loved working there until I saw the place for what it is. No one cares about helping each other, most of the management is there for a check and doesn’t have the right heart to work with the public. Coming from a corporate background, I was literally appalled at the way the owners, DON, the assistant DON & HR behave! They should be embarrassed.
MaryMolly Plant: Kind and caring staff
Sharon Hight: I wish I can give this place 0 stars. ... I dont even know where to begin my poor mother OMG she lost so much weight being in there when she entered in she had a broken hip so they put her on high doses of pain medication remind u she was 140lbs when she entered well the plan was to rehab her and she get to go home well that didnt happen she just got worse and worse, well about 9 months later they told me her appetite wasnt that great which it never was but she was all the way down to 100lbs now so one night she complained about pain in her arm so the nurse went into the folder and read how she was on pain medicine 9 months prior for her hip and gave he the same dosage that they gave her when she was 40lbs heavier and yes they over dosed my mother I got a call that night from ER my mother was on a breathing machine... she ended up getting better but her COPD got worse and worse and My mother ended up dying at this place, they act like care in your face but they r horrible there,, nurses, CNAs, Drs, counselors, all of them suck... I can go on and on with all the negative about this place even with Hospice involved at the end of my mothers life this nursing home didnt care at all... Please if u have a love one that needs help DO NOT SEND THEM HERE....

Sancta Maria Nursing Facility: what do users think?
Lauren W: My Grandfather had improved at Mount Auburn Hospital and they moved him to Sancta Maria. When I visited him in Sancta Maria, he was a completely different person. He had completely regressed and even got worse. He was sent back to the hospital to die. This place was dirty (saw blood on the wall and floor), the staff was cold and uninterested (and didn’t speak English), and they apparently completely neglect the patients they’re supposed to “care” for. If you care about someone in Sancta Maria, get them out now.
Paul Batista: Not a very attentive place for those that need care.
Heather Limerick: I pray that this place gets the much needed help it needs. Best way to describe this facility is “Hell hole”. Care was non existent. It is so very sad our loved one did not get the care and attention he needed to recover.
Jean Remy: Nice place to work, and excellent place to bring your loves one,if someone is looking for good quality care with experience well trained staffs.
Nick PapaK: One of the top nursing/rehab facilities the area
Maureen: Mistreatment, neglect/abuse. Hardly nobody but clinical (ot/pt) speaks english. Nursing and aids don't understand english (or pretend not to). Had to ask for scheduled meds. Old beds and rusted wheelchairs with electrical tape wrapped around the brake. With slippers on (sneakers were in wardrobe) used no safety foot pedals on the rusted wheelchair when transported for a outside drs appt. Dementia (male) patients wonder around the rehab and entered my mothers private room several times scaring her. And the food sucks. Over all don't go here if you want standard care. If you say your concerns to administration (Social worker) they give you attitude. Poor excuse for a rehab. Medicare and DPH, should investigate this place!
Michael GC: My 89 year old great grandmother was a patient there after being hospitalized for a fall. She was doing great beforehand. Didnt need a cane, nothing. She was walking great, just some balance issues which caused the fall. While a patient there, she got very depressed and said that they didn’t treat her right. I felt so bad. And after returning home, she quickly went down hill. Her health decreased fast, and her walking ability was saddening. She went from a cane, then a walker in 2 months. My great grandmother was never the same after being in Sancta Maria
A.David Wunsch: I tried to reach a patient on the telephone. I phoned Sancta Mariaon Sunday May 30 at 5 45. There was no one to answer the phone at their switchboard. I kept getting a message " that mailbox is full. "
Shani I: I’m only giving one star because you can’t give zero. I really don’t understand how you all are still open & receiving funding. My grandmother had bruises on her that she didn’t have before coming to this “home”. I don’t understand how she became severely dehydrated while in this place’s “care”. If you’re considering putting your loved ones in this home, don’t. They might not come out alive, unfortunately my grandmother didn’t.
Michael Krasnow: Excellent and caring staff. They were always attentive and kind to our Mom.PT was done well with very limiting circumstances. Thank you for making a difficult situation easier.
Lorraine Davis: This place is worse than hell. My mom was released 4 days ago. Short staffed is an understatement. The staff they had didn't know what the hell they were doing so, they did nothing. They released her when they decided there was nothing else they could do for her. She had just had a pacemaker implanted and most of the time waited until most of the day was gone before they took her vitals. Her heart rate kept dropping and they kept telling her it was too slow. Whenever she called for help no one came. We were terrified the whole time she was there. They were supposed to help her build up enough strength to go home. They walked her out to the hall 2 times period in a whole week. She could have died there. The food isn't good enough for rats. She won't be back.
Susan He: very bad , rude, mistreatment, ignore patients, mismanagement
S: Great staff
Cheesus Chrust: I'm not sure about the 1 star reviews here but I have a loved one in there now and I have no complaints... People who complain are generally the ones cause the initial problem and then are vocal about it..
Domenic Cianciarulo: Absolute hell-hole. How they can claim to care, and hold onto the facade of some kind of Christian caring is amazing to me. My father was there for three days. He was totally ignored for three days. Staffing was well below required levels, and the few who were there spoke very little English. I managed to find one nurse in the entire building on a Sunday, and she looked totally shell-shocked. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. They specialize in nothing but mistreatment. And rude? I have never been spoken too like that in my life!
Yuki Soto: This place is a hell hole. There's a few gems here and there, but the majority of the staff treat patients and family like cattle. Super rude. The fifth floor is especially bad. DO NOT leave your loved ones here under any circumstances.
Arlene Mcdonald: This is a horror show !!there cruel and abusive. That place should be shut down. They steal from the residents and abuse the most nurses who work in nursing homes are drunks or druggies past or present or they would be in hospitals so take it from there
Jeason Georges: Very bad place
C O Voccio: This place is very hit or miss. One floor may have good staff another won't. The last time my dad was there is was so bad. Mismanagement, mistreatment. We had a family member go there every day to monitor what was happening. I would never let him be in there again

The Cambridge Homes: what do users think?
Catherine Bernier: A great place to have a loved one go to. The Staff are Amazing, Food is good, the atmosphere is Beautiful. I'm a care Taker I've seen alot of them. CAMBRIDGE HOMES, is the Place.
Kent Herbert: My mother has had the great fortune to have resided at The Cambridge Homes for the past 7 years. She and we, her family, have felt so deeply grateful this has been her home these many years. Mom has been so comfortable and at peace in her lovely apartment, as well as in the beautiful Home itself, surrounded by the most exemplary staff. The care she has received has been extraordinary! In the course of these 7 years, her care requirements have changed with the natural progression of age. The Cambridge homes has made seamless changes to accommodate her needs, personally, smoothly and with the utmost loving concern.I live far away, but have been able to visit Mom many times over the years, Staying as a guest in The Cambridge Homes. I feel almost like a family member there! Everyone welcomes me as such! This opportunity has given me a bird's eye view of what the foundation of The Cambridge Homes is built upon and how it operates. One can easily notice that it is a wonderful place to work because the entire staff, in every position from administration, CNAs , reception, cooks,, servers, housekeeping, maintenance and so on, appears to love their job! I feel that the foundation and operation of The Cambridge Homes is built upon genuine warmth, love, concern, and willingness to do everything in their power for their beloved residents.Gratefully submitted byNancy Green Herbert
Nancy Werlin: My uncle, age 90, has been living at The Cambridge Homes for more than a year, and it has made an amazing positive difference in his life. He speaks highly of everyone who works there, feels that it's very well run, and praises the food. Their programs go far beyond the usual bingo and games, and include lectures and concerts. Previously, he was at a different assisted living which he very much disliked, so he has something to compare it to -- and so do I. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Spaulding Hospital Cambridge: what do users think?
Diane Bissaro (DeeBeeWatertown): Husband was sent there from BWH. He was there 4 weeks on 2West. Everyone was so attentive, the nurses, the staff people, the cleaners. No complaints and I would highly recommend this hospital. Dr. Roy was absolutely wonderful. All the nurses were top notch. Thank you, Spaulding!
yerandy rivas: This Spaulding IS THE BEST!!!! My husband was with them on 4 west for 5 months and they were so good to him and our family. They were the reason why I could sleep at night because I knew that he was in great hands, I would call the nurses at any time of the day and night and they had no problems letting me know how he was doing. They were so sweet, the Doctor he had ,Peter Santana was the best as well, seriously we are so great full to them for what everyone did for him and our family. They treated the family great, we really have no words on how much we appreciate everything they did. The therapist as well were the best, the aids I mean I can’t stop mentioning people they were WONDERFULLY!!
Libra Lady13: Cambridge Spaulding has the rudest day operator and desk girls in outpatient PT. The way they talk to clients is atrocious and disgusting. Ppl already ate in pain and feeling down and they DON'T help the cases! I've stopped going!! I'd rather do what I've learned at home.
James Kershaw: I spent approximately three and a half weeks at the Spaulding rehab hospital after surgery. The entire staff was very professional and compassionate. From the time I arrived until the day I was discharged it felt like they were totally invested in my recovery. Working with PT, OT and speech kept and me motivated and wanting to do more each day. Christina, the nurse practitioner checked in with me on a daily basis and the nursing staff was also amazing. I am grateful for the care that I received at the Spalding rehab hospital and would highly recommend their facility.
Jacqui Upham: I got a brain surgery done when I was 21 and with it came a stroke. I was at Spaulding for a few weeks and it was great. I can walk again, talk again, getting my right hand back to. I get a new brace on my right leg so I can walk, every doctor and therapist I see or saw is or was great to. There are outpatient Spaulding’s in multiple places where I can get OT for my right hand, PT for my balance and walking and Speech when I have trouble understanding what I’m saying. I get Botox for my hand there, my therapeutist showed me a brace that’s supposed to help my right arm and hand to ‘wake up’ and now my hand is more open and my arm is in position and doesn’t need Botox on it anymore. Spaulding is one of the places I feel the safest.
Lenora Francis: Spaulding Hospital Rehab in Cambridge, Massachusetts is a 5 Star hospital. I felt so safe and cared for. Every nurse that I had the pleasure to work with were kind and understanding but, my favorite nurse was Amber’ LeBlanc who was there for me no matter what I said or did. She impressed me so much with her kindness and compassion plus her work ethics were excellent and everything you want to see in a nurse. She made me feel so special. I felt like I was in a luxurious hotel. All of the nurses were fantastic towards me and I love them all for taking such good care of me. The CNA’s were also excellent in taking care of me. They helped me in so many ways and I was just more than satisfied with all of the staff that was there making sure I was comfortable and getting the help I needed. The food that I had to eat was the best I’ve ever had in a hospital. It was delicious! When it was time for me to leave Spaulding, I cried my eyes out because I was losing my safety nest and all of the wonderful people that took such good care of me. Spaulding Hospital you Rock!!!🙏🏿
L L: If I could give them negative stars I would. Do NOT I repeat do NOT ever put a loved one here unless you want Spaulding to kill them. Absolute worse decision I have ever made in my life. All they care about is over medicating, and giving meds that are dangerous and not needed, removing the patient and family's rights away, abusing the patient. Do not place your loved one here unless you want them to slowly be killed. Buried my loved one few weeks ago because Spaulding killed em. 😭💔
Genevieve: I guess I should begin with saying that this facility is not capable of working with patients who are not super easy cases. My father has Parkinson's disease, and he was here for quite some time. He first came down with a case of pneumonia, his second time in about six months, and they did not want to accept him back as a patient once he was done with his treatment at the hospital. Specifically, Dr. Lobsenz did not want him back (we'll get to this sweetheart in a minute). Her conditions for taking him back were quite surprising, but my father needed the care so we agreed. Then, just last week, my father apparently "fell" and needed to go back to the hospital (I wonder how he fell when he can't move and was completely secured at the time...). Dr. Lobsenz said to my mom, "We can't handle him anymore." Meaning she is too lazy and heartless to do her job and help a man who not only cannot stand up, but who has dementia. They say he fell; whether he did or not, this doctor was just looking for an excuse to get rid of him. She couldn't get off the phone with my mother fast enough. She is the sort of person who has two completely different sides to her personality. You never know which side you're going to get. My advice would be to take your loved ones to a place where there are doctors who are kind and caring. Not to someone cold, unfeeling, and who will ultimately abandon another human being who simply needs help and patience.

KHO: Spaulding Rehab Hospital of Cambridge is a place I would never recommend to anyone looking to get better. If the patient is looking to go to a nursing home and never get quality of life back this is the place to go.We were told that this place was the same as Spaulding of Boston. Lies. I spent three months in the hospital sitting beside my daughter making sure she didn’t lose any range of motion. Within one week her left hand lost more than 80% of that range of motion in her left hand. She was at this place for two in a half months and never gained. They say that Rehab is available 5-7 days a week for up to three hours. My daughter only saw her physical therapist one a week, and therapy aids one a day for one part of the body stretch never full body and they only worked for 20 min. Occupational therapy was at least twice to three times a week but with my daughter's condition she needed consistency. The doctors and nursing staff were great with her but were quick to medicate when she was bored and looking for something to do. They have no visitation due to the pandemic but offer no activities other than sit in your room and stare at walls. This place has no care for your complaints and no drive to see anyone get better. When I asked to have her transferred I was always told that she’s not ready but they do nothing to get her better. I finally decided to take her home and have visiting nursing and physical therapy come. And everyday she is showing improvement.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!
scott fraser: Excellent facility. I requested to come here because I knew I would get the care needed. Everyone is the facility is very friendly, caring and all about care...and I’m talking about the non-med positions (food service, facility care team etc). I’m grateful this facility is here!
Jon Wuebker: I was here for PT, OT, and wound care for about 6 weeks, following a lengthy stay at MGH in their ICU due to Covid. The doctors, nurses, and therapists at Spaulding Cambridge were all great. I very much appreciated their care of me.
Cheska65: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Gina LaFlamme: I had to take a little time to think before leaving this review because my Uncle received great care from some of the staff here. The PT and OT staff are amazing. His Social worker was awesome! The staff in the financial department and most of the nurses and aids have been amazing. The reason I have to give 2 stars is because of my Uncle’s case manager. She was abrupt, rude, and dismissive whenever I attempted to communicate with her and ask questions. She was set on my Uncle needing a skilled nursing facility to care for his tracheostomy. My Uncle ran out of rehab days on his insurance plan and she sent him to a horrendous facility that had zero Respiratory Therapists to help care for his tracheostomy. My Uncle’s case manager placed him at the first facility that had an open bed. In the last two weeks my Uncle was not cared for properly and even has scratches on his body from being physically abused at the facility he was placed at by his case manager. I’m pretty sure she would not have sent someone she loves there. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Spaulding who truly cared for and about my Uncle! Shame on his case manager for dumping him off at a facility with staff that are physically and emotionally abusive. Thankfully my Uncle has people who love and care for him because he was moved to a great facility that will care for and help him continue making progress so he can eventually return home. If left at Watertown Health Center he probably would have died!
Haitian Way: SPAULDING employees and seniors get 25% off of everything in the cafeteria
Rishi Nijhawan: Awesome physical therapists.
Kara Knipe: Absolutely horrendous care, communication, cleanliness, never mind the constant violations of medical proxy. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here
Paul B: Most of the staff genuinely care but like all places, there are all types of employees. We had to remain with our son to ensure that he received proper care. This was no easy task. I would only recommend the facility if the patient can advocate or has a friend or family member that can stay with them most of the time to ensure optimal care is provided. The place is very old, loud and can be chaotic at times, but they try to make the best of it. Oh, the best part is that parking is free.
Danai M.: INEXPERIENCED AND INCOMPETENT STAFF! HORRIBLE place!!! MANY PATIENTS DIE HERE DUE TO LACK OF PROPER CARE. (Dont believe me? read the previous reviews). THE WORST NURSING STAFF AND "DOCTORS" I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. This place ultimately led to my mothers death. My mother was discharged from Brigham and Women's Hospital with the need for further care at a rehab facility that specializes in oncology in order to recondition herself with physical therapy. Not only did we have to speak up in order for my mother to in fact have physical therapy every single day, (the whole reason why she was even sent to this hell hole in the first place), but we had to speak up to complain about their completely inexperienced nurses including RNs AND NPs. I asked the RN that was on that day with my mother "Did my mother have PT today" The response I got was "Idk ask the NP". So the NP comes in I asked her the same, her response was "I dont know, Ask the RN". This is the response you get from a facility that prides itself on patient focused care that specifically focuses on physical therapy? This place is a joke to say the least. Can a dog throw on scrubs and a stethoscope around its neck and push a cart into a patients room with medication and be automatically considered a registered nurse? Where is the standard here..When my mother was sent here from Brigham she had absolutely NO infection. In the days before her death she was coughing and spitting up. When i called a nurse in to tell her she spit up one of her pills the response I got was "let me get her another one". I did NOT call you in for another pill. I called you in to in fact evaluate the situation and see that my mother had some type of cold/infection and has been coughing and spitting up for a reason. As an oncology patient this should cause some kind of alert to the nursing staff AND the doctor to in fact get the proper care to be TREATED for infection because of her high risk. The doctor ordered a CT and we were told "it looks like there could be something there but its not something to be alarmed and shes getting just one light antibiotic to treat it".A few days later we get a call from her doctor at Spaulding saying its urgent. We call back only to hear our mother went into cardiac arrest and shes being rushed in ambulance back over to Brigham. When we get to Brigham we were told she had a SEVERE INFECTION - Sepsis and pneumonia. AND SPAULDING WAS NOT TREATING HER FOR EITHER. By the time she got to Brigham and Women's it was too late and the infection was so severe she could not breathe on her own. The next day she was pronounced dead.THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! All of this could have been avoided had she had the PROPER CARE! This place needs to invest in proper EDUCATION and experience for their incompetent nursing staff (who cant even get a bubble out of an IV line). Just because you graduated a random nursing school does not mean you have the experience and knowledge to treat and care for a patient on a daily basis, especially when their lives depend on it. But then again how would you expect a facility to hold their nursing staff responsible when the doctors themselves take no responsibility for their actions???Bottom line: Unless you would want your family member to be Spauldings' guinea pig, Send your loved one elsewhere before its too late!!!
Mark S. Schiavo: I worked here for today to cover for someone.
