It was her and my husband's first time riding and every one was very patient and kind. I hadn't been on a horse in years and was a bit nervous in the beginning but the ladies were wonderful and my horse cowboy was just so sweet. We all had a wonderful time.

Canton Equestrian Center: what do users think?
Jen Kola: Great place to ride close to Boston.
Lauren: 5 stars! been taking lessons for nearly 6 years and have leased 2 school horses here, and i love it! i am also a working student (lessons in exchange for helping, which is helping kids, cleaning, etc.) and it's definitely worth it. the Hughes family run the barn great, and Jen is a great trainer! i have been with her since 2016 and have never been disappointed. the facility is nice and the barn has a community atmosphere!
Kate Bosolango: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLoved going on rides here when I first started learning.
Mary Beth Decker: My daughter took lessons here while attending nearby Curry College. She loved riding at CEC. The lesson horses are great, well cared for and offered a good variety for students with different riding abilities. The lesson tack was comfortable (unlike at many other lesson barns). Fellow students were friendly and supportive. Best of all, the trainer Debbie, is excellent! Her instructions are clear, and she understands the abilities and limits of her students, which makes for productive and safe lessons.
Jane Wood: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe people at the barn are so nice and helpful. They are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They know what they are talking about too. The horses are nice and lovely. The horses love everyone and like to be loved too!
Together Forever: Positive:Professionalism,Value
Julia Livs: CEC is my favorite home away from home! The Hughes are wonderful and the instructors are beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for a better place to ride!
Leah DeLorenzo: This barn is amazing. The facility is clean, safe, and spacious. The horses are cared for with the utmost respect and the trainers are top quality. I recommend this barn to every rider in the area.
kennedy sheehan: Amazing barn that models the upmost care and love for all of the horses in the facility. Highly recommend!
Julia Giaquinto: The Hughes Family is the best! Great atmosphere to board your horse!
Bri Thomas: Mary, Owen, Owen Jr., and Timmy are true professionals and have taken wonderful care of my horse this winter. I highly recommend the Hughes family and their beautiful facility with access to THE BEST trails around.
Susan Kelleher: My daughter is very shy and timid. She was handled very gently by the instructor from start to finish. Nice to see she was taught horsemanship from the stall to cross ties to lesson ring, and not just brought a tacked up horse to get onto. The grounds are clean, organized, and professional. A wonderful family barn that also offers 4H on site, and week long school vacation camps. A perfect place to involve your kids and family in equestrian sports. Very nice facility to board horses with the indoor ring, outdoor jumping ring, and miles of trails just across the street in the Blue Hills Reservation.
Monica Olszewski: It was VERY bad. My daughter has been riding for a long time now and all she did for an $80 private lesson was walk. She trotted 2 times and that's it! The riding instructor was very mean and taught everything about walking, trotting, forward seat again to her even though she told her she knew it! At the end of the lesson my daughter was going to put away the pony by herself (like at all the other barns she went to) and the instructor started screaming at her so she never got to. The stables were very dirty, no lights on when they are there when it's dark, spiders and all that yucky stuff and it's just the worst! When my daughter was taking off the tack from her pony she did everything correctly (I used to be horse trainor) and the instructor said she did everything wrong and had to SHOW her how to CORRECTLY do it. Then we were about to leave I asked how did she do and she said oh well she's good but she needs a lot more private one hour lessons until she can go on a group where at the other barn she could go on what ever kind of lesson she wanted to. The lessons are $80 so if she wanted her to go on 4 before group that would be $360! This place is a scam! Please don't go there.

Sweet Meadow Farm: what do users think?
Anna Parsons: Hay is also a good quality. All our bunnies love this hay. Minimal dust and always fresh.
Madison Knopf: Lots of animals to be educated about
Kate Son: I've been buying hay from Sweet Meadow Farm for nigh a decade and will NOT buy hay from anywhere else! After moving to Virginia from Massachusetts, I continued to buy their hay because it's soft, fragrant, and my chinchillas absolutely love finding the extra bits like dried clover leaf. Thank you Sweet Meadow Farm from me and 3 chinchillas!
Amanda Parsons: We recently had our daughter’s fifth birthday party at Sweet Meadow and it was a wonderful experience. Our daughter and her friends had so much fun visiting with the animals. Paris and Alexis did a great job of keeping all of the kids engaged while also making our daughter feel special. She loved her birthday ribbon and book and loved the saddle chair. Paris and Alexis also handled all of the set up and clean up so we were able to just enjoy the party. It is a great venue for a unique and memorable birthday party.
Jamie Billings: We had our daughters 5th birthday at Sweet Meadow and everyone had a great time. The children loved the petting zoo and playground. The staff took care of all of our needs and made this a fantastic day for both kids and parents. Thank you Sweet Meadow Farm.
Stacey Haines: This is a review based on the party that we recently had for my kids birthday. We were absolutely thrilled by how well the staff kept all the kids engaged, and they were so helpful in getting things set up and cleaned up. We barely had to do anything! Such a positive ecpy, and so many people commented on what a great party it was. Definitely recommend!
Traci Carney: Our rabbits LOVE sweet meadow hay! Always fresh and delicious.
Meghan Campbell: Our rabbit loves their hay! He eats it so fast we have to tell him to slow down.
Jyotin Gambhir: Great place for feed grain for animals. We get all our bunnies food from the feed and grain store
Jeff 570: I get my guinea pigs hay from sweet meadow farms thru chewy, all 3 love it. And if I find unwanted objects they send out a free box of hay. No questions asked.
Kristen Pearson: My daughter had her 6th birthday party here recently. Everything was absolutely perfect, we were so pleased! The staff was super kind and accommodating, and moved the party along at a good pace. The animals were so great- everyone loved feeding the goats, putting ribbons on the pigs, brushing the pony and the one month old puppies! My daughter said it was a 'dream come true' getting to sit and play with the puppies. As a parent, it fills amazing hearing your child say those words.....and this is thanks to Sweet Meadow Farm!
Krissana Wallace: I went into the office to get information about the Mommy and Me class, which sounds amazing. Unfortunately my experience was tainted when walking back to my car. I stopped to let my daughter look at (not touch) the cows. I was so close to my car I could have reached out and touched it. We were not within 15 feet of the animals. Within 30 seconds an employee approached me and told me I couldn't stand there and had to leave. I explained that just left the office with information for summer classes, this is my car, we are leaving, my daughter is plainly LOOKING at the animals. The manager continued to be confrontational. The experience was so offputting I told her that I now wouldn't be signing up for the class. She said "that's fine." The only reason this isn't getting one star is because when I went back in to complain to her manager about it she was very nice. However, the employee was standing right there and continued to argue with me! When I left she said with a snarky tone "have a nice day!" I'm in Human Resources, and if I were her manager she would be written up in a second and possibly even fired. Just wow.
Juan Chen: Critical:ValueThe instructors are indifferent to kids and don't really care whether they improved or not. My daughter's classes always have a delayed start even when we arrive early and thus cut short, do not recommend.
Victoria Draganov: Wonderful barn! Been there for 7 years now and the students and instructors are great! Super friendly and a building community.
Patricia & Jim Harper: The best place to enjoy the animals and the outdoors! The animals are loved and well cared for❤
Ashita Goswami: Staff weird and awkward. Your calls are never returned and they talk to you in person like they are doing you a favor. Need soft skills training.
Jennifer Turner: UPDATE: the hay WAS shipped and arrived 3 days after placing the order. A tracking number just had not been emailed to me like it usually is.Usually they ship hay within a day of placing the order, but I haven't heard anything in almost 3 days. They also no longer offer the bulk size I've been buying for 2 years. The hay contains a lot of flowers and sticks compared to a few years ago but my bunnies prefer it over anything else they've tried. They do not respond to the contact email listed on the website. Like I said, the hay is a staple for my two bunnies but I wish customer service and quality control was better. Hoping my order will ship soon before I run out of hay!
DY S: Lovely birthday party experience with their petting zoo and playground. Not quite what I expected for a "farm" but no complaints!
Don Branson: We had a VIP Pony Party for my 7-y.o. that had her birthday party cancelled last years as the covid lockdown started. It was a splurge but the kids all loved it and the parents too. My daughter is still talking about putting the bows on the pigs, feeding the various animals, holding the bunnies, and petting the wallaby. She's also declared that she wants her birthday party there next year already.
Wolfe Fox: Positive:Quality
John Maguire: Stable coupled with a plant and flower shop.

Verrill Farm Stable: what do users think?
lucy wheeler: Absolutely beautiful place and fantastic food and fantastic produces
catharina armstrong: My daughter has been riding at verrill farm for 5-6 years and it has been an excellent experience. The ethos of the barn is passion for riding, love of learning and willingness to work hard. Alyce the head coach is a hard working passionate coach and instills a love of the sport, team building, camaraderie and a good work ethic. She cares deeply about these succeeding in this sport and also having fun. I personally have ridden under Alyce and the other instructors coaching and I feel it was excellent and I have learnt a lot over the years.
Jose Diaz: Lady that answered the phone was very rude “think your going to come in off the streets and ride our horses” is what I was asked when I was asking for info
K BR: I have never been spoken to so rudely and it was a 2 min call inquiring about lessons for a young child, the woman said “I don’t give a $hit in hearing about your story”. I’m still in shock that this person would be teaching children. I would not waste your time inquiring here, after reading the other reviews it’s clear this woman Alyse has lost the love of teaching children and the patience to be kind.
Ridding with target: Amazing horses and lessons everyone is so nice
Abigail Sotomayor: These people are probably the rudest people you will ever encounter!!
Lee Anne Male: Beautiful ride on a picture perfect snowy day. Nice horses.
Katerina Sultanova: We scheduled the horse riding lesson, completed all forms, arrived on the exact time for our lesson to start, but Alyce McNeil never showed up for our class. We asked if someone can substitute her, but it seams no one were able to help us.We talked to Alyce by phone and she apologized and offered to schedule other time whenever it worked for us.When I called her to reschedule the class, she said that they were full, I need to buy 8 classes instead of one (It wasn’t the case before), and when I reminded her about he offer she hanged up on me.It was rude, unprofessional and very disappointing.
Sasha Gill: This barn has been so wonderful for my daughter. Alyce instills accountability, confidence and a sense of community in her riders, and her staff is fantastic.
Laura Qureshi: Best thing that ever happened to Zaahra from the moment she walked into Verrill Farm Stables was meeting Alyce! Alyce soon introduced Zaahra to the barn naming all of the horses & ponies. I was beyond amazed how clean and professional the stalls were kept. Zaahra connected with the older girls in the barn as well as a friendship and love for horses with a friend her own age. Alyce and Kate you both are amazing and thank you for teachings Zaahra how respect, groom, ride and be a friendly horsewomen!See you at the barn!!
Jason Kass: Verrill Farm Stable is a wonderful place to learn to ride. Both of my daughters have fallen in love with the barn and my wife, who had ridden for 20 years (but not in the last 10) has reconnected with riding. Alyce, who runs the stable, is an amazing person and has now even gotten me on a horse. It’s a short walk from Verrill farms and a nice place to stop by after you get some farm fresh food.
jann welch: Superior instruction for adults and youth. Sound and well kept horses for all levels. Indoor and outdoor riding rings. Located at historic farm in beautiful rural location. There is an award winning equestrian team training here and, for those interested in higher level competition, participation opportunities in showing and eventing.
Kathy McCue: They have great outdoor food and fun events for the whole family!
Valdomiro Lino Corrêa: Formidável
Cg L: Great preped meals for take home!!!!
Billy Stephen: Great food and service.
Alan: Everything is the freshest highest quality around!
Chris Taylor: Best park around for kids of all ages
John Green: Local grown, family owned business
Douglas Macone: Great place to board your horse and learn how to ride.
some guy: Great place and great prices. Farm fresh you can't go wrong.
