Jay Love: This guy was rude to an elderly lady all because she wanted to cash her scratch tickets. I heard him say if you come in the store buy something don’t just come to cash your scratch tickets, then the lady proceeded to ask for 2 $10 instead of a full $20 and he went to the register angrily and literally threw the 2 $10 bills at her. The lady asked what did I do for you to treat me like this and he said “ahhh leave” . The lady was shooking up. He’s bad for business and has no customer service skills at all!

But in Winter being able to keep the glass clean is important and this station just doesn't seem to care. This is a low-cost, high value thing to do and if you have to be told, you're probably in the wrong business.

Lisa Labresh: I decided to write this review after yet another incredibly great experience here. I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop. I just had yet another car repaired here for a minor bumper issue. The owner painted the small piece of my bumper in the same day that I stopped by. It looks great and he only charged me $25. He made sure there was no further damage to the interior hood and didn't charge me for any of his labor. He also ordered me a part that was $50 cheaper than getting it from a dealer. I have had my last three cars serviced and repaired here many times over the past few years. Minor repairs, brakes, etc. Every repair has been done quickly and they always do a great job. They never do a repair without telling you how much it will cost, and they never try to get you to pay for unnecessary repairs. They are transparent about what actually needs to be done and they go out of their way to get you great deals on parts. The prices are incredibly reasonable and are MUCH cheaper than bringing your car to a dealer. The owner is also really nice and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, inexpensive repair shop.

Cacao Bean: Be wary of the guy working here. I've been to this gas station over the years in daytime. Yesterday was the first time I was there at night, past 9pm when it was empty, and the guy working, who had been normal in the past became aggressive and belligerent. He said my credit card didn't go through after the gas pump worked and filled up my tank. He asked if I have cash, which I didn't. He mumbled and seemed annoyed and told me to pay with another card. When I was checking the receipt and my credit card to make sure it was not charged, he ran back out to me, snatched the receipt from my hand and started yelling! He would not shut up about how I don't trust him- so weird- until I yelled at him very loudly that he is misbehaving and that I can check my card as I please. He finally stopped being aggressive but still followed me out after I paid inside, shouting that it's not him being shady but that it is my card. Why so defensive and aggressive. He probably declined my card to get cash. Never going back here again for anything. I would have called the police if he didn't go back in and left me alone. How dare he try to intimidate me, a woman, at night because nobody else is around. OH, and when I checked my receipt later, he had charged me a couple dollars more. Geesh!

That is all.If it's the middle of the night, there's another Shell around the corner on Broadway with fair odds of being open. Fwiw.Odds aside, it's ok, hence 3-stars.Like many places of business (generally since the start of the Pandemic), operating hours are determined by something I can only describe as "not logic" between the hours of "when it's definitely dark outside" and not. (For lack of better words.)I'm not going to attempt to hypothesize what the actual operating hours are, so please keep in mind that "Updated 2 weeks ago by owner. " and "Open 24 hours" or "Open 24 /7" on Google Maps, on the same page, may just be wishful thinking or a very big problem, depending on your individual situation.

Terry Marryshow: Wasn't able to find this anywhere online, but regarding their air pump:It's $1 for 4 minutes of air time (which should be plenty of time). Unfortunately their machine does not take credit card, so you will require either coin or cash bills. At the time of my visit, the coin slot was jammed, so you had to use the cash slot.The machine does not provide change, so you will require exact amounts.I did not have a great experience using the machine otherwise. It did alright with some of the wheels, but the other two it gave an "error" message and actually seemed to deflate the wheel. I ended up driving to the other shell on Cambridge street with a more modern air pump, with which I had no issue.Filling gas was straight forward. I did not try the car wash.
Karen F: Yesterday I paid for an automated carwash. The machine said it was paid but it didn’t start. I tried calling the phone number for help. It was not in service. I got out and asked the gas station attendant (owner/manager) to help and he said I did it wrong. And that he’d be out to help. He eventually came out and again told me how I did it wrong and that he’d turn it on...if I smiled at him.I stated that I was under no obligation to smile at him, but as he had my money, he was obligated to put me through or refund me. To which he said “just smile”. I refused. He said to just drive through and get out. No car wash. And he walked away. No refund. No service. No idea if I could reverse or go forward without damaging my tires.I called the local police for assistance. I was quite shaken at this point and unsure if my car was somehow locked in. They were very helpful. Apparently they know him well as he is notorious for bad service and bad behavior. He would not budge even for them. So I’m left to contest the charge with the credit card company and file a harassment complaint. They helped me reverse out safely.
Tammy Nghiem: Splurge only $6 dollars more for a worthy car wash! A guy recommended it and my car shined for weeks. It got rid of all the salt and dirt from the snow storm. You can save some money on Wednesday’s for the car wash if you get gas.

Carolyn Mitchell: I’ve been going to Oudy at Shell for a few years. At first, it was out of convenience for a state inspection near the city. But now, I only trust him with my car repair work and recommend him across the board to friends and family. He’s always upfront with options, timing, necessity of the work, and pricing. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he’s also friendly too which makes the process of car issues feel easier.

Pedro Perez: I visited this shop on November 28, 2022, because the check engine light on my Mini Cooper went on. Oudy informed me that the thermostat needed to be replaced. I told him to go ahead, and he proceeded to replace the thermostat.About 2 weeks later, when I drove the car for the first time after the fix, the check engine light went on again. I went back the next day, on December 12, 2022, for the supposed warranty on his work. According to the invoice, the warranty is valid for two years and/or 24,000 miles. To my surprise, Oudy said that the thermostat was working fine but that now I needed to replace the fan and the water pump because they were not working and that the cost would be $1,200. I immediately got suspicious and picked up my car ASAP. I took the car to the MINI dealer, and they concluded that the water pump and fan were working perfectly fine and would not need to be replaced for many years, if ever. Then, they tried to bleed the coolant to see if that was the issue, but they told me that most likely the issue was the thermostat. Bleeding the coolant didn’t fix the issue, so they had to replace the faulty thermostat, and now the car works perfectly fine.Stay away from this place.
Sarah Moore: I know basically nothing about cars other than how to turn them on. I have gotten hosed in the past by other car detailers. When I got my most recent car I decided I would only go to one mechanic for everything. After a lot of due diligence I came here and I am SO glad that I did. The first time I came in there were a lot of repairs needed. I didn't know Oudy, but knew that he knew I knew nothing about cars. I called my brother in law who fixes cars on the side with the quote and he told me I was getting a very fair price and that whoever quoted me was an honest man. I trust my brother in law so I got all the repairs that Oudy recommended. Since then I've been seeing him for my maintenance and I love the guy. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, kind! I would highly recommend this place. Cameron Ingram: Oudy is about as friendly and competent a mechanic as anyone could hope for.I had to have a defective tire replaced and he had the broker who provided it pay for the labor instead of passing the cost along to me, which I really appreciated. Also, he did some follow up work on a battery drainage issue at no charge.This is a guy who cares about his customers above all else which is super hard to find — I strongly recommend his shop!Edit: more praise for Oudy, who has since the review above taken my car in 3 separate times at no charge to isolate an electrical problem draining my battery. I took it to the Magazine street Shell where Oudy told me he would take care of it for me. A few hours later he called me and told me to come pick it up. It sounds like a brand new car now. liz jones: 8pm. Same fat grey haired white guy from Bedford Shell location that was rude to the Black woman the previous evening at 9p was there! He stared and catered to the 3 young girls in a creepy way..When Black woman approached the counter. He stared at her and did not say hello. When asked about the scratch cards. he was not helpful. I made my purchase and asked if there is a place to check the card, he said he didn't know. I went to scratch my cards. When I gave him the winning tickets. He did not ask me if i wanted to buy any more. He put the money on the counter and walked away. I felt like I was in the old south. Have you run a background check on him? Again I did not feel welcome at this Shell Gas station. I've been there b4 and the cashiers were very nice to me, male and female. Y is he there??

Christine Martel: It’s supposed to be 24 hours so I stopped by after work around 11 and was told to go to another gas station that was open. I had already put my card in and it was approved. The pump was in my gas tank. The cashier comes out and tells me he’s closed. He saw me pull in and all ready to pump my gas, so he couldn’t just let me put gas in my car? He started giving me attitude and told me to go somewhere else that was 24 hours. Very rude and unprofessional. It’s supposed to be 24/7, but I guess he makes up his own hours.

Rob Perry: Rude cashiers, couldn't be bothered to look up from their text let alone listen to what I was actually asking for, completed the transaction without accepting my rewards after asking to redeem them several times.10:00 AM shift.
