Henry Bear's Park: what do users think?
Lanna Krik: Visited on May 12 for the first time, the gentleman and woman were very sweet, respectful and helpful. Will definitely be doing my Christmas shopping here
Leah Klein: Our favourite toy store. Great for ages 0 - 10 ish. They have Lego, dolls, books, science toys, art activities, stuffed animals, board games and more.
Sarah Costello: Stopped here for a birthday gift for a toddler. Easily found everything I needed! Lots of puzzles, too.
Robin Abdallah-Doukkara: Friendly knowledgeable staff.Great toys!
Ebony Morrison: Love this place...and the staff phenomenal spirits.
Amy Piepgrass: Great customer service and high quality toys!
Stacy Wint: Henry Bear's is still a cool place to get toys and games that can be educational or just plain fun. The staff is really nice too. Ad their target audience always finds new tthing to tell me I need/want to buy.
Julie Kingsbury: Amazing array of toys and children's decor.
Christine Ruest: Very helpful staff ! Will help you pick out a special gift age appropriate. LOTS OF FUN UNIQUE GIFT for children of all ages!
Steph S: We support this location especially for their friendly attitudes. The Arlington location not so much. They do have a variety here, we buy a game from time to time and although they do have legos it’s a little bit more pricey than getting form the Lego store. We enjoy their other selections in the store though, something for everyone
Grant Barber: It's great!!! Legos, playmobil, stuffed animals, books, unique games. Just as nearby Porter Square books survived and thrived as an indie store attuned to neighborhood even w Amazon, Barnes and Noble, so too this wonderfully stocked children's toy+ store has well outlasted the big box toy stores. This location part of a small "chain" of at least 3 other locations in the wider area.
Melinda Sudbury: Lots of awesome stuff. And there stuff for you kid to play with while you shop
Linda Geehan: Different toys and is great.
Kate Owen: Interactive store with amazing staff.
Nicola Lamberto: Ottimo negozio. Trovi giocattoli di ogni tipologia. Saletta attrezzata per i bimbi.
sean guerin: great old fashioned store
Lydia Jane Graeff: Great selection of new and old toys, games, and puzzles.
Ivy Mom: This is a review for the children’s earrings only:Buyer’s beware! These earrings are NOT correctly made. I bought 2 pairs and was gifted 3 pairs— the earrings are not sized correctly to fit any standard earring backs. On 1/2 the pairs, when I removed the rubber stoppers kept on for display purposes, the earring backs that came with the earrings slid right off!! I bought these earrings during a vacation in Cambridge, and I cannot return them as I live in a different state. I was really dissapointed that half of the pairs were completely unusable. The other half do not fit a standard back and the back they come with is quite loose. Of the 5, only one pair survived. A total rip off. I recommend you avoid at all costs!!!
R Hargrow: Went to Star Market and Michael's in that mall.
Liz Harrow: great selection, friendly staff, but 16% more expensive on two items i bought-- one of them cheaper at the bookstore adjacent!
Bernie Moran: Great store. So many options and the store is set up beautifully. Great energy and the young lady wrapped the two gifts so quickly, I was back in my car(parking was also a plus in this urban retail location-really convenient) in no time. This is why TRU did not survive and why AMAZON is not the only answer. SERVICE and SELECTION - Henry Bear's Park understands. Thank you!

Magpie Kids: what do users think?
manik kawsar: Not many options.
Sheila Bailey: Refreshing little toy and clothing store for young children. Indie wooden toys and organic clothes, with cute designs and prints. Lots of Boston / Somerville specific clothes and books. I especially love the Somerville onesie I got for my little guy.
L Zsolnay: Great inventory, but high cost - not sure why they picked Porter as Henry Bear Park is already there
Michael Taylor: Called Magpie Kids to help deliver newborn baby gifts to a team member, the owner was extremely helpful, and the toys were delivered very quickly, which was amazing as we had run into an issue with a different company. This is another example of why it's so important to support local companies that go above and beyond. Thank you again!
Vanessa Gulati: I love this store and love the owners and employees! I still drive back to Somerville from the burbs, where I now live, to visit. Such a local treasure!
Diane Borgatti: Lovely things for very small people. Very expensive
McMillan Ilderton Gaither: Great array of clothes, books, toys, and accessories, plus a good community-oriented small business!
Angela Choi: So many cute baby gears and goodies!!! Great for gifts with their superb giftwraps and gift receipt option. Will definitely return for more baby goodies!
John C. Mooney: I wish I still lived in Somerville so that I could go to this store more frequently. . . .
Jo Vieira: Great service, great selection of products
Marie Nies: It took quite a while before I was greeted during my first visit to this store. I purchased a few items and later found out that the sizes I bought were to small. I went back to return these items for larger sizes as the items I purchased were gifts for my girlfriend’s new baby, which I later found out is now wearing a size 2T instead of 18-12 months, which were the sizes I originally purchased. Needless to say my second visit at Magpiekids was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a baby store. A baby store! There was one associate who did her best to assist me, but the other associate who had originally helped me during my first visit a couple weeks prior to today’s visit was very rude and lacked empathy. If I were a secret shopper and was asked to rate the level of customer service I experienced in this store, the rating I would give would be close to zero. Due to the fact that I was crunched for time and they didn’t have the outfits that I originally purchased in the size I needed (size 2T), I had asked the associate to assist me in finding other options in size 2T as I was not familiar with the store’s layout. Her response was, “There’s plenty just look.” as she pointed toward the wall fixture of baby clothing. I found her response to my question to be unhelpful and perceived her as someone who didn’t really care to assist me all that much. It was as though she had better things to do. Mind you I was the only customer in the store at this time. In my opinion this woman’s attitude was quite rude. When I expressed to her that I was in the retail industry for over 20 years and wanted to offer her my feedback as a customer, she replied by saying, “Well good for you.” She then goes on to say that she had bent over backwards to help me “MANY” times. However, I was only in this store twice in my entire life. How could she have helped me “MANY” times? I believe she wanted her colleagues who were present to hear how “helpful” she had been and how she had “bent over backwards” to help me. (This statement by her was surely not true.)I will never shop here again!!! And I will be sure to pass on the word about how poorly the customer service was and how poorly I was treated as I was leaving the store with a store credit, which unfortunately I will have to use on their website. I was told by these associates that I could shop on line and use the store credit. At this point I didn’t even want to do business with this store but was stuck with a store credit, which is their return policy. This associate’s last words to me as I was leaving their store was “Have a nice day!”, but not with a kind and pleasant tone. It was an ingenuine and very sarcastic tone. I left there feeling awful and will never step foot into Magpiekids in Somerville. A baby store. Unbelievable!!!The worst experience I’ve ever had in a baby boutique!!! :(((And one last thing when I asked to speak to a manager, the response I received was, “Not here and won’t be back until February.” When I asked for the manager’s name or business card, the other associate who was at least a little more helpful wrote just a first name down on a piece of paper. It was evident that they did not want to give me their manager or the owner of the shop’s contact information. Shortly after I left I called the store and asked how I can use the store credit on their website. The associate who was rude to me unfortunately was the person on the other end of the phone. She said that she wasn’t even sure how I can use the credit on the website and would have to call me back. I then asked her if the man I saw sitting behind the register was the manager or owner. Her response was, “There was no man here.” I then became infuriated on the phone with her because not only was she rude to me but she made it seem as if I was delusional. I clearly saw a man sitting in a small office behind the register. He stood up at one point during the interaction to see what was going on. Is this how Magpiekids employees behave while the manager or owner is away? 😔
Lizeth Barraza: It was great! Amazing hour with Jack Jam 🎸 He is a great musician and singer! An awesome friend with toddlers and babies! They all loves him!
Jo Keith: First time at the store good selection of product.
Sarah W: Nice selection of beautiful baby and kids clothes and toys. Very expensive, but I like to shop local when I can. Service is usually pretty nice.
Norman Rohr: Small, and sorry if pricey store close to Porter Square. They are known for their many events.
lovtuscany: Beautiful baby and children clothes. Books and other gifts too
james t: Very good kids store. A bit pricey, but nice stuff.
Ana Martins: Great Kids toy and clothing store. Local products.
Matt Graham: Tons of great toys!!
Elizabeth Schneider: Excellent selection of high quality infant/child toys and clothes.

Henry Bear's Park: what do users think?
Susan Murphy: Great selection of toys for all ages
Badr Tejado: Very friendly and helpful staff, great variety of toys including puzzles, outdoor toys. You can find toys for all ages here, including STEM/educational toys. There is also a wide variety of Lego sets with different price ranges, perfect for last minute birthday gifts. Finally, there is plenty of parking around.
Lanna Krik: Cute little toy store, great prices
Frank Taylor: well organized fire all ages
Mary Harper: Great selection of children's toys
Peter Ph: Large inventory, very helpful staff, not inexpensive but worth it.
Bjorn: Quick service, lots of choices. Shop local, especially for toys.
Max Baxter: Great selection for the size of the place while avoiding feeling cramped, prices are competitive, staff is helpful and friendly, and their website is helpful for checking what's actually in stock. It's also refreshing to see a brick and mortar toy store that doesn't share 90% of their stock with other stores (like seasonal mall pop ups). Highly recommend coming by, these places deserve your business more than the competition.
Bill Wise: Great neighborhood toy store. Nice staff. Wrapped and sent my gift. Easy transaction.
Fernando Corado: a little to expensive but good cuality toy
Brian: great toy shop been in existence for 40 years..there aren't too many of these toy shops around
Julia Kast: Going to this store for my children is like a trip to a wonderland. Large assortment of toys, everything is so bright and attractive. The toys are of high quality, the service is excellent.
Hilary Luderer: This is a great toy store. They have a nice selection of toys, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Bill C: Amazing staff and great selection. You can ask any staff for a recommendation and get an A+ gift. They make it too easy - and they’re so nice doing it.
Linda: This store has a variety of small toys, big toys. It was great just to walk around and buy a few things.
Melanie Blower: Great selection of toys and books
Caroline Cardarelli: Great selection, friendly staff!
Cat Cat: Good toy store with all the great toys. Expensive but that’s what these toys are costing everywhere. Lots of fun things for all ages.
H BT: Great selection. Everyone is so friendly.
Steph S: Great selection and a tad bigger than the Cambridge location but we don’t like the attitudes of the people in the Arlington location which seems to be a thing in Arlington itself for some reason. Won’t be going here anymore but we will go to the Cambridge one as their service is friendly over there
Lynne Caron: Always find something different from your average store. A bit pricey but i will say they have a great rewards program!!
