Hellenic American Academy: what do users think?
Julie Penta: My daughter started in K and is entering into 3rd grade. The small class sizes, the individual student attention, the loving and caring learning environment, and gaining a broader world perspective by embracing Greek culture as part of her daily education, are all reasons why we continue to attend.
Tanya Iliadis: Academically strong, supportive and close community providing an excellent learning development for any child. You will make life long friends here and your kids will be excelling for many years to come from the foundation they build at the Hellenic America Academy.
Ava Popas: My children are 3rd generation graduates of HAA. The school gives students a great education, in a caring family environment. They will be respected and learn to respect, and values that will last a lifetime. I’ve never met anyone who is not proud to say they are a graduate of HAS.
Karine tadevosyan: HAA is not just a great school, its a community that enables not only my kids to learn and grow, but for me as a parent to make long term friendships, celebrate all holidays together and enjoy life and rich Greek culture, music, food and history!!
Victoria Saab: When I think of my childhood, I think of how lucky I was to have attended the Hellenic American Academy. I have so many great childhood memories and formed lifelong friendships at the Hellenic. It’s such a joy to see the children of my friends and family now attend the school. They will benenfit so much from all the school has to offer, just like I did!
Nicolas Troisi: Ms. O'Reilly is hands down one of the best teachers I have ever seen. Ms. O'Reilly is extremely enthusiastic about her occupation and you can see it in the way she teaches her students. She captivates her students and teaches them in new and creative ways which other teachers, I recommend, should take not of. Ms. O'Reilly has a constant radiating positivity about her and typically is not seen without a smile on her face. Overall Ms. O'Reilly deserves in A+ in my gradebook!!! :)
Zoe Kallas: Can't say enough great things about this school: nurturing environment, small classes and dedicated teachers who obviously love what they do. All of this fostered within the backdrop of the Greek culture. Most importantly, you don't have to be Greek to come to this school.
Renee: The Hellenic American Academy is such an amazing school filled with the most caring and supportive educators any parent could hope for. “Miss Helen” Gaudet is the welcoming face in the front office who is always happy to assist with any questions or concerns. She facilitates registration, tuition payment, and handles any reports of tardiness or absences. She is quick to notify everyone of early school dismissal or snow days. My Pre-K4 daughter loves when Miss Helen lets her press the button to buzz people in at the front door. Miss Helen is a genuinely kind person who goes out of her way for students and parents alike, and we are so lucky to have her at the HAA!!
Annmarie Riddle: I have just recently started working at the Hellenic American Academy as a paraprofessional in PreK 3, every staff member here has been so welcoming and inviting. I look forward to coming to work everyday!
Brianna Lavine: I have known Ms. O'Reilly for over ten years now and I have had the pleasure of seeing her work within her classroom on multiple occasions. Ms. O'Reilly is dedicated, passionate, patient, and goes above and beyond every day for her students. She is always positively interacting with her students using hands on learning which is something I truly admire, as an educator myself. Ms. O'Reilly will always do what ever necessary to best suit her students needs regardless of how challenging. She has a huge impact on her students and the positive atmosphere at the Hellenic American Academy.
Nick Rosenbaum: I've known Jay Grasso for a few years now and know that he's a great teacher at this school. He always puts a lot of care, thought and effort into what he does- not only for his job but also for the Lowell community and beyond!
Billy T: Wonderful staff with the kids as top priority! Awesome! Recommended! Miss Lori in Pre-k 3 is soooo great with children and such an asset to this school!
april mcmahon: This is a good school and Lori Peter's inPre-K 3 is a Great Teacher
Chris Ampenberger: I can't say much about the school, but I know one of the teachers there for more than 15 years - Jay Grasso. He is a great guy. He genuinely cares for people in general and especially for the children he works with.
Bill R.: The Hellenic American Academy is an excellent family-oriented school. The teachers and staff are amazing. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated. Maria Booras is an exceptional Greek teacher who makes learning a second language fun and easy. Helen Gaudet, the office administrator, is adept and instrumental in the daily operations of the academy. My children are very happy and thriving academically. They have developed a passion for learning in this caring and supportive environment.
Pamela Crawford: My children are the 3rd generation of my family attending the Hellenic American Academy. I would not want to send my children to any other school. The staff is amazing and provide a safe, caring, and loving environment. I am excited for my children to be a part of the HAA family!
Mark Schnell: This is a terrific institution! Small class sizes enables focused attention and development of students.A special shout to the Math program!
Jay Grasso: I am excited to be the new 4th through 6th grade science and math teacher! The students are great and excited to learn! I love the staff! They have been very helpful! Because of the low student teacher ratios, students will reach their highest potential and not fall through the cracks!
Robert Cote: I have had the opportunity to observe Laurie Archambault interact with children. It is obvious that she loves to teach. Laurie is very patient with the children, and she brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to her class. It is clear that she enjoys teaching.
donna vercelli: Congratulations on the addition of Lori Peters to the staff as a Pre-K teacher. I have known Lori for many years and cannot say enough about her dedication to her students and her love of working with children. How lucky they are to have her as their teacher!
Patricia Vallejo: Excellent environment, staff and teachers, always supporting students and families. They are awesome! I will recommend this school to anyone. Ms. Lori Peters Presschool Teacher is one of a kind! Her passion and support for the children make her classroom an excellent environment of fun to-learn new things.
