Steve Perry: I have been coming there for a monthly haircut since I moved back to the Greater Lowell area in 2004. I now live in Watertown and still go to Professional Barbers of Lowell. In fact, when I lived Hartford for a couple of years back in 2008 to 2010 I still got the majority of my haircuts from Jimmy. I estimate that I have gotten about 190 haircuts there over the years and not a bad one in the whole time, not even one! I have an issue with a cowlick on one side and Jimmy is the master at getting it to look just right. Both Jimmy and his son Ty are great guys and it is worth the visit just to look at the great old album covers that they have on some of the walls. If they doubled their prices, it would still be a great value, given the consistent high quality of service they provide.Service:Haircut

He had me in a chair in 5 minutes, but honestly after this cut I would wait an hour or more to be seen again. My hair was a mess after a botched cut from another barber in town. He listed to everything I was trying to fix and went to town with at least 4 types of electric shears and then scissors. Surprisingly fast with all he had to do and a genuinely nice person. He is amazingly skilled at different types of styling and cuts. The cut was affordable if you have seen the area. I know where I will be going in the future. Anthony Doos: They are very unorganized and not clean. All of their equipment and tools were in one messy drawer. The barber who cut my hair didn’t even clean the razors and tools after he finished the person before me. They also do not know how complete a fade such as blowouts or skin fades. They just wanted to finish their customer quickly and then go have fun, instead of taking their time. To be honest they didn’t know what they were doing and I had to go to my regular barber to fix my blowouts. Not clean and professional.

After driving around downtown Lowell for a little while I noticed that most barbershops are closed on Mondays. This was the only place in the area that was open. I walked in and waited for about 10 minutes while the barber finished with the guy that he had in his chair. After that I sat down with Saul, explained what I wanted, and he went to work. He did a great job and made quick work of it at the same time. I would definitely recommend.

Chivonne Nicole: This is a great barber shop! The first time I brought my son here was 3 years ago when I lived in Lowell. Although we don't live in the area anymore, we came back to Billy's a few months ago because my son wasn't comfortable in the other shops we tried. There's a cool vibe here that we haven't found in many shops. My son has sat in all of the barbers' chairs except Billy's but they all do a great job. Our 20 minute drive is always worth it & we'll keep coming back!
