Frolicking Fido: This chair was my grandfather's chair in the living room in the JP house where my mom grew up. He sat in it every night and also Sunday mornings. It was different upholstery in JP and maybe redone when they brought it to the Cape. It was in the Living room in Cummaquid and then must have been moved to West Yarmouth. Nana and Boppy bought their furniture new after they were married in 1934 and before JP in 1941. That chair is probably 80 years old and was top of the line Paine Furniture Store.I am very impressed with the job John and his team did to save this family item. Why buy new when you can recover quality!

Norman Dearborn: We went to Curtain time to check out what they had for window coverings for an oversize set of sliders, a bay window and 2 off size kitchen windows. Ilya spent a lot of time with my wife and I going over what the various offerings were, delivery times and install times. He came to our house a few days later and measured everything, again, spending a couple hours with us and bringing a few samples as well. We settled on Luminettes and Silhouettes by Hunter Douglas. Delivery was to be in 6 weeks or so with install shortly after he received them. Schedule was accurate the install was done in a very reasonable time frame that fit our schedules. No issues, delays or glitches at all.Overall, an outstanding experience with Curtain Time and Ilya. Great product, service was awesome and the product is just what we wanted for our house. As such a task was a big investment for me, I had to look at many stores. I went to The Shade Store on the recommendation of a colleague who had his shades installed by the company recently. He told me that the service went smoothly and was extremely straightforward.The consultant Kristin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She responded to all my questions very clearly and turned around my follow-up email questions expeditiously. I learned a lot about the different types of light filtering shades and material from her. I took a bunch of sample material swatches that she had recommended and taped them to my windows to decide which one to buy.The technician Raymond showed up a week later to measure and take photos of all the 12 windows. He also answered a lot of my questions. He made recommendations on the material that would eliminate glare for the different windows in each room while providing light and privacy.I got a call from Kristin soon after the measurements were completed. We went over the options from the measurements and photos. After deciding on the shades and the material, she put together a quote and we completed the transaction over the phone. It was a big-ticket item but it was extremely reasonable when factored into the total cost of the overall window replacement project and amortizing it over a -period of time.The shades arrived at my doorstep by FedEx a couple of weeks later. They were meticulously packed.The installer Eric showed up not long after. He was exceptional with great attention to detail. He did an awesome job in installing all the shades.All in all, I had a great experience. I would recommend The Shade Store unreservedly.

In the end we went with the automatic shades, which were pricey but so worth it, and all shades have a lifetime guarantee! Would highly recommend this company.

Jordi Gil: Beware the EGO repair center:TL;DR Before you pick up an EGO repair unit:* ALWAYS check your original S/N against the unit you're picking up from repairs in case they switched it for a different one.* ALWAYS check that the unit is working well, not just what was fixed.------------------------In July 2022, I brought my EGO snow blower for repairs to this repair center. A few weeks later I was informed that it had been fixed and I could pick it up at this location. When I did, I noticed it looked like a new unit with no wear or tear, it appeared to be a new one (later on I noticed it had a different S/N). I tested the fixed part (the chute) and it worked fine. I pressed the left handle and the unit moved. In all senses, it appeared to work well, so I took it with me.When I used it this January 2023 for the first time, I discovered that the auger was not working. I called EGO for help and they told me to bring it for repairs at this Lowe's location. Weeks later I get an email that I could pick up the fixed unit. When I went to pick it up, they brought a dust covered unit that did not match the Serial Number of the unit I brought in for repairs. This time, I declined to pick up the unit as I was not informed the repair consisted in switching the unit and I was weary it could be another faulty unit as its dust covered appearance did not give me confidence.Following up with Lowe's customer service I was informed that they misplaced the labels and I was not supposed to pick up that dust covered unit. Days later, I got an email that because the unit had a broken handle, it was not covered by the warranty and if I wanted it fix, I had to pay ~$200. I complained that this unit NEVER worked in the first place and that it was their fault for giving me a broken unit as a fix for my original snow blower. It didn't change a thing. Lowe's representative insisted that they will not pay for the repairs and that they can't find my original snow blower anymore, supposedly fixed.Now I'm left with no other choice but to pay myself for a problem that is Lowe's fault.Moral of the story: Avoid this repair center for EGO units. But if you have to use their service, ALWAYS, ALWAYS make sure that you're getting the right unit by checking the Serial Number and that all functions WORK PROPERLY before accepting it.I hope this helps./Jordi

Corporate designed the store in a way to make you think the service is better by making the place bright and pretty. Everything's more expensive and you have workers who don't know anything, even the tenured folks.Secondly managers are all unionized against the workers and some of them are straight up p*dophiles. They act all cool and take smoke breaks together but they're all horrible people who will fire you if they're simply having a bad day. We're being abused, currently part time but working constantly and getting burnt out. We've lost so many good people lately. Remember that good service doesn't mean that the workers are happy. Go to home depot instead, they actually treat their workers like people and in return you'll get cheaper products and maybe less than perfect service. (If you're man enough to handle such a horror 😂)
