Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance: what do users think?
Rob S: I have brought multiple clients there in person and everyone that we have dealt with has always gone above and beyond and I have always found the staff to be very knowledgeable.
Heidi Magee: I just want to get a human being on the phone can't get ahold of caseworker is eitherVoicemail so full you can't even leave a message
Tonisha Bates: Unprofessional and uncompassionate personnel who appear to take their deadlines as some kind of a joke. I recently filed an application weeks ago for assistance when the application was submitted it stated that o would hear back within 5-7 days which turned out to be false information. This is reason behind the low rating.
Emilio Rosa: Lit and not busy.
Jonathan Ratte: Learn how to respect people and help people you people are absolutely pathetic and shouldn't be helping people if you don't know how
Carebear Love: Not great but not horrible
Alannah Leigh: I had called them earlier today, the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. She clearly does not like her job. I was very polite throughout the call and I kept my cool. I definitely did not deserve to be talked to the way I was.
charming: Bad customer service I call them and she didn’t say her name and I asked her for food stamps letter she said call the food stamp without offering there number and she hangs out.
Damaris Torres: For sure for sure the rudest staff in Lowell besides many other places and do look down on people who request help all that about emergency help bs my work is seasonal been off work sense school vacation started and I still haven’t gotten any help but yes they are very quickly to say your case is closed for the smallest thing that you didn’t provide because they don’t check the system correctly is a shame that big bosses in Boston don’t check on their staff it’s like these workers can do what ever they want and feel like they don’t even deserve a star .
Nikki Murray: I got hung up on 7 times. Called first thing in the morning to just get a replacement card. Some picks up the phone then hangs it up.so unprofessional
Dennis Mathena: Very disrespectful
Kiely Quinn: These people literally never answer the phone. I am disabled and its hard to get any help at all. They are lazy and rude and I wish there was someone to make a complaint to that would actually realize these people are getting paid to do no work and be rude to people.
Mohamad Pyriadi: Before it was hard to complete your visit fast. Now they offer free fax service which is great and fast.
William Berry: Get you help
Ernsie New House: Good
tina leonard: Staff rude
Michael Foster: Not bad but dont be surprised when you get searched by security as soon as you walk through the door.
Pam Andrews: They do not call numbers in order and do not explain that when given a number
Elaine Maldonado: Gotta go early.. Or late
Rachel Fitch: Always packed with people waiting...they give you a number but it don't go in order. No where to park...takes forever
James Guadalupe: Waiting to long

Department of Children and Families: what do users think?
Run It Up: My kids didn’t get taken awayBut I’ve witness this office within the past 2 years be UNFAIR to a father !! He’s done his action plan 3 TIMES. And they still denying him his son. But they wanna give the mom WHO DOESNT CARE FOR HER SON community custody, and she has NOT completed none of her action plans!! The woman is mentally insane ! And just wants her son for money !! But our local office is too BLIND TO SEE ANY OF THAT !! The mom out here, harassing everyone. The dad, his family, the foster mom !! And yet DCF wants to give the baby to an insane woman !
Jennifer Craig: Nightmare still fighting for my son after 2 yrs of following and completing action plans they are legal kidnappers for sure
Marissa Hamel: Does NOT protect kids such a shame!!!!!
Destiny Sawyer: the workers dont reach out to kids who are in their custody at all. The workers will go on vacation without notifying the kids, they hang up phone calls before it rings all the way, and never return a phone call even if they leave a voicemail. not to mention the workers come into work sick and coughing (even though were mid pandemic) and ignore childrens needs. i have never in the 6 years ive had to deal with dcf dealt with a more incapable case worker and supervisor. if the higher ups are reading this, theres definitely some people who need to be retrained, or fired. Also notice how the only good reviews are from YEARS ago. that clearly means something here is wrong.
Linda Martin: Worst place ever been following my action plan for a year now and they still won't give me my son back 😒
Brisean Evicci: They help my friend out with money for clothes but they treat him like he is on house arrest
Mahalia Alexander-Paggi: I mean... They always helped me. Maybe when I was in the system they failed me. But with my son they done nothing but help me o the fullest!
Pakgrafx: I am a single mother living in Plymouth county and I have DCF involved in my life right now. They came into my life for support and they did give me a service plan but I did everything my case worker wanted me to do for my daughter. How is it possible now that I do not have much child in my custody now?? How bad is it that the first hearing I had they didn't even know who my daughters father was. They acted like they just found out she had a father. Like hello, ofcourse she has a father, did they think I had her by myself. It has been nothing but a nightmare since they got involved in my families life. I am not sure where to even go from here but I am going go make sure that no other mother has to go thru this. To top it all off, I used to be a drug addict and have had trouble with the law in my past with drugs involved with DCF never getting involved. Yet here I am 100% sober and I have my child taken away from me. Also they said in court that my daughter needs counseling which she is in but yet when she was supposed to be in counseling, her counselor was on the phone with my mother during my daughters scheduled counseling time. Then they canceled my first visitation with my daughter 2 minutes before we were about to leave to meet up with her saying that she didnt want to see me which I know is a lie. I know my daughter was just as excited to see me as I was to see her. Another thing is that for visitation they are risking my child's life by driving her 45 mins from the town she lives in, is staying in and goes to school in so that I can visit with her for an hour. This is not right at all and I am going to.fight for all the parents who have had to go thru what I have been thru with these horrible people. Today is my visitation day so I am waiting to see what excuse they give me of why I can not see my daughter. I am horrified that this happens to mothers and I have now where else to turn to.
Katelyn Brave Hawk: They take your kids based on hearsay then they do whatever they want with those kids and you have no say this place is terrible they're definitely on some power trip b.s j.s
Tachorn Gordon: These people are only there to tear family apart. My kids has suffer a lot. They need to be investigated. The manager are throwing their authority around. Be careful with these people! Do not trust them!.
Ānanda Coughlin: They need to wake up. The amount of abuse is outrageous!
Sproux: Only serves bone-in pizza, would not reccomend
Katelyn Monteiro: These people are not friendly they ruin lives and continue to do so I've been dealing with them for going on 4 yrs and believe me when I say don't trust them as far as you can throw them.
lillettemomma: They took my kids for ridiculous reasons
Robin Knox: it's dcf it's ok as long as your the foster parents
Chris Reekie: The most dsyfuntional DCYF office in the state!
Francesca Nice: Experience? Horrific! They most certainly do not keep the legal standard "the best interest of the children" first and foremost. They operate with preconceived ideas, they lie not only to the client but also in writing with false letters and reports. On two occasions in this long drawn out nightmare two days before trial date they switch so called SW. These folks need to be investigated by someone in Charge. They act as though they are accountable to no one! They hurt and destroy families. They are not professional, reasonable or cooperative. Their absolute power needs to be cut and decisions about children needs to be placed back in the family Court. I tremble when dealing with these NAZI like people. I don't know who said "absolute power corrupts absolutely " sure is the truth. Their reputation is well known in the Commonwealth as broken. Fix it with more training, less unnecessary paperwork, unreasonable demands placed on clients and above all the best for the kids.
tina leonard: Friendly social workers
Bridget McGrade: These people arw very bad. I had to call the attorbey general the senator and the comissuoner of dpeartment kf social servives . I also am waiting for a return call from fox 25 news. What these people did to me was very wrong. I have to move out of state for a very serious reason. I came up with my deposit and any other fees associated with this move. I will be homeless and haveing to go to a shelter because i dont have the money to get a truck. It cost 954 dollars where it is out of state. I have called anyone and everyone looking for help with this. Department if aocial services was my laasg hope. Tthey do have it. The denied me and left me in a sitiation with no way out. Why are they doing this to my son and I. I have never asked for help. I always worked. I am out of work due to many surgeries. I dony know where to turn. I have asked anyone and everyone and have ben turned down. I need this more than you knkw and you woild think where my situation is so serious dss would help me. I thibk whomever makes this decison needs to be investigated. To turn down a situation as serious as mine sometgibg is not right with the delartment if social services in lowell . I am sure the senator or attoraney general muara healy will find a way if investigating the reasons they denied my request for help. These people in lowell dss are low. They do not care about us obky the paycheck they recieve. I need this help . This is not nice what they did. 1do not turn to these people for help they only make life harder by comkng into your home and doing nothing. Everything I do on my own.
Amber Collins-Velez: My worker is awesome

Social Security Administration: what do users think?
Jack rabbett: WORST government agency I've ever had to deal with!
KamMarie McGuire: Closed even though their hours said open
Kenneth Dore: Thank you for everything that you have done for me today..it’s was greatly appreciated for your kindness and patience with me. Also you Davy me from having to go down there okay thank again.
Doris Hathaway: The security guard is a gem. He saw me poke my head in and then turn to leave as I didn't have a mask (going to car to get one) and asked me if I needed a mask and got me one. Then he proceeded to help everyone in line to sign in a d get the proper paperwork filled out. The service personnel were polite, thoughtful and did their job efficiently. Yes you have to wait your turn - no appointments, but it was well run.
Freidrichm: The appointment wait times are atrociously long. You finally get there and then they are still closed because of covid!!! You have to wait outside a shut door and explain to the security guard that you’re there with an appointment. Once inside finally, the staff are rude, they don’t explain to customer what needs to be done and have an overall horrible attitude of “I work for the government and I enjoy my capricious exercise of power over you”.
Jim Bures: I can’t believe it: what a positive experience at the Lowell SSA. When I walked in, I realized I didn’t have a mask, so I looked around for one and then I noticed that the Security Officer was bringing me one. That was so kind of him and he helped me check in.I couldn’t believe how few people were there! I only had to wait like 15 minutes. The next thing I wondered is how the service would be. But that was great too! The clerk took time to listen to me and really figure out what I wanted. And he took ownership too, and really worked with me.I can’t believe I am saying this, but it was fabulous.
Maura Dumais: I came into the Lowell SSA office on a Monday after a holiday - without an appointment - to order a new SS card after getting married. I was in and out in less than an hour. Those working here are efficient and kind.
Tao Li: I walked into Social Security Administration office at Lowell without an appointment, the office is very quiet and clean, the officers are very nice and helpful, give me clear information/instructions about the process.
Nagesh A: The security officer was very helpful from the beginning. The office is very well maintained and all staff were very responsive.
salwa hebbezni: Security agent VERY RUDE and impolite.
Jeanne Haynes: Lowell Ma office: SawMs Perez & she was very pleasant & helpful. It was an overall good experience.
Bob Lupo: This office is the WORST. From the first moment you walk through that door, everyone treats you very badly. They do not solve anything for you, and they treat you in a super disrespectful way. Shame on a government office to have such disrespectful and rude employees. Don't go to that office unless you want to have a really bad time.
Jackie Tambone: This lowell office is horrible. I'll be on hold for an hour and get a representative give my info and get told to hold and hear a click. Got hung up on 3 times. Sat at the office for two hours a few weeks ago said my checks were all set for a year. Received no check. When I actually do get a representative they don't know what's going on. Am I in the twilight zone ?
Roberson Fusco: Nice customer service
Ishan Pai: Everytime I try to call here,no one picks up. Can someone from here atleast have the courtesy to pickup the phone call??
Jujubee - Madeline: It’s impossible to get an appointment. When calling to make an appointment. The representative keeps repeating they can help. But they can’t, and they proceeded to tell you that you need to make an appointment but don’t want to give an appointment. I have been trying to get an appointment since April 2020 and I still keep getting the runaround. And then they just hang up on you when you get frustrated because they can’t comprehend a simple task of making an appointment with a representative .
Hugo Costa: ( April 7th) After 2 years closed because of Covid they're open to walk ins again. They're short staffed ( 13 desks/Windows) and only 3 or 4 open. But they were polite and very professional.
sneakydom: Horrendous and extremely lengthy experience changing my name post marriage.I have been given mis information several times during the whole process (information that contradicts what is listed on their gov website).Once Lowell office approved to change my own name, it is a month later, and I am still waiting to get my updated SSN card in the USPS mail... I've called over 10+ times now for status updates...BEWARE:1) they use the "covid safety" excuse thus you cannot schedule an in-person appointment and need to drop off very important documents (drivers license, passport, etc) which they will mail back unsecurely via slow snail USPS mail. You cannot go pick up.2) They do not keep any USPS tracking information (unless a few people lied to me) so for all I know, my identity has been stolen because my ssn card is lost in the unreliable United States Postal System.3) They frequently disconnect their phones DURING THEIR listed "phone" Business Hours so it is absolutely impossible to reach a human. All day 3-15-2022 they had the busy tone. That person or persons working today should be fired because their website clearly states that they should have been reachable for public calls today.
Kymberly Miller: Apparently the security guard thinks it's okay for clients to put their names address social security number and how they get their income on a public computer.
John Howard: Mrs. Berrios was polite and pleasant. She is very knowledgeable. Spoke with her a few weeks ago and my issue is already solved.
Tiana Neang: Khmer / Cambodia translator is awful, doesn’t know how to help with translating at all! When she ask in the Khmer language, she should know how Khmer will respond back, last name is stated first before the first name, why can she understand that?! She still didn’t make it clear which name to say first in the Khmer language , and keep asking the same thing! My poor mother gotten so confused in the process!

Social Services Department: what do users think?
Jason Simmons: They just lie
Thomas McAuliffe (Tommy): Very professional.
Rachel Cassell: Getting benefits for my daughter that she is entitled to send them everything they asked every type of proof they needed got paperwork saying she's approved and that their processing her benefits that was December 2020 here we are March 15th 2021 still calling still getting to run around still getting the same answers and then they said they're investigating if she's living with me what else proof do they need family Court give them proof DCF gave them proof I sent some pictures they were spoke to my younger daughter I don't understand what their problem is I give them everything do they want to come move in with me too to see unbelievable lack of Karen compassion they are lazy very slow make you jump through all types of hoops give them what they want it's still not good enough
Barbara Boyd: 🚮
Alissa Griffin: No comment worthy
Heather DiGiustino: They never help. Dont bother.
Maria Capomaccio: Awful place. They were more interested in giving me attitude then taking a report of neglect.
Adam Cox: These people are as corrupt as they can get. My child is on the brink of death from what they are doing to her. They repetitively cover up any and all abuse from my child's mother and submit perjured statements to the court. They very well know that my child's mother committed perjury in the court and abused my daughter countless times, yet they do nothing about. My child was top of her class, very athletic and sociable. She was of perfect health. She was intentionally misdiagnosed and over-medicated by her mother. She know suffers from various physical and mental health problems. The DCF works very closely with the family court in order to follow the path to the greatest funding from the Federal and State government. They systematically murder and abuse children so that they can maximize the amount of revenue they receive from various Social Security laws. They are blatantly defrauding the Social Security system and nobody does nothing about it. There is currently an investigation by the DA into 5 child deaths caused by DCF. I am attempting to contact the DA so they can investigate all the corruption and abuse revolving my child before she too is murdered by the DCF. These filthy corrupt individuals working at DCF are criminals and they belong in a federal prison for all the crime they commit. They prey on the most vulnerable people in our society (children) so they can rake in money for their salaries, pension funds, bonuses and other benefits. These people need to be held accountable for all the death and injury that they cause to children.
Donald Lind: Scumbags
Melissa Cullen: I've never used their services, just gave someone a ride there. It is very hard to find.
Ralph Dasilva: What can ya say about this place
Deborah Sunflower: They saved my grandchildren's lives.
Astric Cruz: Not impressed with them or services

Lowell WIC Program: what do users think?
Laura Lee Medeiros: As a single mother, I noticed there tends to be a lot of shame directed at us from our society at times. I have heard plenty of criticism personally about being a single mother, as if it was my fault that the biological father decided not to be a parent or present in their lives. That stress, on top of financial stress can be crippling and makes it harder to push forward at times while raising happy healthy children. With this being said, WIC Lowell office has been so supportive over the years for both of my children. They have been educational, and responsive. The staff has been friendly and efficient. I absolutely love this office and am happy to share my wonderful experience I have had with them. They help give back a sense of security, and stability when it comes to providing for your children as a single parent. This is our last few months with WIC as my son will be 5 years old. I would like to thank all of the WIC staff for your support and help. I hope the staff understands how important their role is on this earth, helping children and families in need of this support. Much love to you all. Much love to all of the families who utilize WIC. You have all done an amazing job and have had a tremendous positive impact on mine, and my children’s lives. Thank YOU.
MVR My One And Only: My grandson was discharged yesterday from the NICU. The Lowell, MA office was called to try to obtain formula for which the person declined to assist us with at least one can of formula and told me that we would have to wait until the wic appointment two days from today to be able to get any formula for the baby which was a premie.
Cathy Schuder: Matthew was the best he was so enthusiastic and you can tell he takes pride in his job he was always eager to help me! He deserves to be treated to lunch per my request he is such a good asset to the team!!
Mona Joshi: You wait forever over phone, Noone ever answer your call ,and treats you badly in the office is another thing !
Paula's Family ChildCare _: You wait forever when on the phone, over 20 minutes!!!!!
kenny larkin: Excellent program for low income families
Brenda Resto: The place is local and easy to find. They we're so very helpful and I was able to get started on WIC benefits right away. I highly recommend you check it out. Thank you
Kisoms Majoba: Excellent Program I wish u to start one in Africa.
