Leonardo Montanez: I worked for Chesterton for almost a year benefits were decent not great .Suffered a terrible automobile accident not work related that almost claimed my life.I was out on disability for about 6 months attending physical therapy to recuperate.I got permission by doctors to return but with brief restrictions on limitations and was denied by HR and management from Chesterton.I stayed on disability for another two months after being denied to return and had surgery.Then I found out my employment with the company was terminated two weeks after they made that decision. I spoke to HR and was told im eligible to reapply which I did and only to find out my application was rejected.Goes to show what type of company they are and how low they think of new employees.In my opinion human resource and management only think of themselves and favorite certain employees for growth with the company.I tried to make a come back after my accident but once your injured kiss your job goodbye unfortunately.

Steve A: Working at Chesterton in like being in the military if you disagree or have your own input you will be shot down. They claim they care about their employees and that they are number one but the sad part is they only look out for the bottom line and that's the bank account. They have engineers and supposed managers but half of them can not do the process to make the final product. If you have an injury work related ornot they will find a way to get rid of you. Working their I had met some great people mostly the shop workers and the general mood in the shop is do your 8 hours and go home. You can not stand up for yourself or you will be let go. I worked in a room with hazardous duats and chemicals and I was given a mask with filters and months later I was told they had given me the wrong filters and the one I had we're not helping me much with blocking the particles in the air. This company used to be a great place to work and any old timers there will tell you it's gone way down hill and with the new group of employees from sylvaSyli think it's going to get a lot worse.
