Jeff: Not the “Bang for your buck” kind of place. And not the “oh that was expensive but it was worth it” kind of place either.Service was okay but the potions were so sad. It might look like a lot, but you’ll see it’s either this V shaped bowl or a super flat bowl. Soup base for the ramen was about as good as a higher end ramen noodle packet you would get from the supermarket.I would not come back again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I would strongly urge them not to waste their money here. The dish in the picture was about $14 FYI

C. N.: I love the kimchi ramen here. Spam, eggs, kimchi, and noodles. It's slightly spicy and comes in a metal bowl so the food stays hot for longer.Tempura veggies could do with a bit more seasoning, but overall, I will be returning here to try everything else!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Eve G: Not usually in Boston but today I was and I was so hungry so I came to dine in here. I got the kimchi ramen and it was really good! Staff was kind and attentive and the wait for the food what short. Definitely coming back here when I’m in Boston next time!Recommended dishes Soup …More

Roberto Barrios: Simple and quick Korean/ Japanese restaurantI have walked passed this restaurant many times but never tried it as it always looked empty and not that appealing. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. The Nebeyaki Udon was delicious! One of the best in Boston. Sushi was very tasty as well. The restaurant itself is very low key, prices are standard and service was good. We will come back at some point

Yakitori Totto: what do users think?
Jay Woo: Momo (skewer) - smoked so well. The second you bite into it, it hits you in the nose first.Negi Tori Don - spicy isnt bad, but mild is simply a lot better, which makes sense since real japanese food isnt spicy.
Eileen Sanzonetti: The food was delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shishito Peppers, Yakitori, Miso Soup …More
Brian Twitchell: Tasty and ready quickly. Salty and only one skewer per order, so a little expensive for the quantity. Macha tea affogato dessert was fun.
Tatsu KK: Nice place, all of Yakitori is good and tasty!Recommended dishes Yakitori …More
Danille Calvo: Absolutely loved the food. The location is small but can be nice for an intimate dinner. The service was excellent!Recommended dishes Yakitori Don, Gyoza …More
Ecaterina: I loved everything about this place! It deserves a better rating.
VW: Had eaten here several times (take out+dine in), food in general is good in the area, but services can leave you a bitter taste depends on your server. When your server talked back with abhorrent attitude when we kindly asked for more to-go boxes, rejecting our request with a cold face like we owe her, a below average tip is offered and you know why….Male servers are really nice though.
Allison Vaughn: We arrived at open for dine-in in an empty restaurant. We asked for a table and were told they were reserved, and were seated at the bar, which was very loud and uncomfortable. Two hours later, all the tables were empty but the bar was full. Something is very wrong with their traffic flow management. We spend a lot on evenings out, and this was pretty cheap comparatively, but it isn’t high on our list now. The food was mixed, but seating in a sane place in the restaurant might have made up for that. Probably a one-and-done, sorry to say.
Judy Le: Great drinks and delicious savory bites that melt in our mouths. Overall upbeat and trendy vibe, planning next meal soon!
Jeff Morgan: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Maya Shen: The ambient is nice but food are mostly a miss, somehow all skewers came out cold already, which is a major no-no for a Yakitori place. The grilled rice balls has a strange consistency, between mushy and full rice grains, heavy submerged in sauce, not like anything you’d get in Japan. All nicely presented tho, the best dish of night is likely the eggplant&mochi dish in hot appetizers section.
Jacob Houtz: Very kind staff, speedy food service in a professional dining setting.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ricardo Muskus: Excelente!
Milton Guardado: Amazing drinks, great food, and reasonable price. Definitely coming back soon.
S K: Tasty but expensive for what it is (meat/seafood/veggies on skewers). Isn't yakitori inexpensive and a social type of meal in Japan?Pros:- Grilled meat, seafood, vegetables were tasty.- Waiter was nice.- Free parking for 3 hours in the nearby garage.- Area has grocery and shopping (Assembly Row).Cons:- Skewers are expensive. Okra was $4.00 per skewer and only went up from there for meat/seafood. Mind you, these skewers are probably 6 inches but 1-1.5 inch of it is where you hold it.- You'll probably need at least 8-10 skewers per person and rice.- Big bill but left hungry.
mingyue Liu: Friendly waitress and delicious food
Rai H.: 🥢food: taco wasa (raw octopus with wasabi) - small portion and average taste | yakitori (skewered beef/chicken/vegetable) - great except that the chicken skin smelled | yakionigiri (grilled rice ball) - had yakitori sauce and it was good | udon - highly recommend!🍶drink: hot sake - 3-4 small glasses | beer - asahi draft always works with any japanese dishes!💬service: kinda slow although there were not many customers inside.. but he was attentive and friendly.💁🏻‍♀️Would I revisit here? : Yes- my favorite place at assembly row.
jae Lee: It seems like the foods were precooked and reheated as they did not look and taste fresh.I am highly suspicious that the original recipes are not being followed.I can not recommend to go there.Food: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Tori Jiro: what do users think?

Anahit Hovhannisyan: I just wanted to say this place is the best. It went from us stopping by to try it, to easily the best place we have ever been to. Now all of our friends come here and coworkers too. Amazing staff. Out of all the times we have been here we have never had a negative experience.
Nicolasa Lopez: Food was really good, service not, at all. Extremely disengaged staff. My first time there and pretty much my last. Went out with my daughter and two of my grandchildren. We decided to go to Tori Jiro, we been to most of the restaurants by Arsenal Yard but no to Tori Jiro. Well, with got there, the waitresses were by the bar talking to each, one of them approach us and sitted us, at no point she introduced herself. Then, another waitress brought us the menu(didn'tintroduce herself). We browsed over the menu after a good 10-15 minutes we were ready to order, While waiting for one of the waitress to come back. We went to the bathroom one by one washed our hands and back to the table. The waitress never came back. We kept looking to where they were and none of them look at us, until my daughter decided to call them and one finally came ( the restaurant was nearly empty, just another table believe there were two adults and two young children). Like the two previous staff, he did not introduced himself, just took our oder, did not asked if we wanted something to drink or if we had any question about the menu. After we placed our order, we didn't have to wait long for the food, presentation was good, food was good.It was just the service, how disengaged the waitresses were. Two of them were talking to each, the other one sitting look at his phone. It felt like we weren't there. At one point we needed more napkins and my daughter had to get up and get it herself and they didn't even noticed it. Good food, good ambience, yet their customers services needs to improve.
Rosa Argy: Thrilled to have a yakitori place in Arsenal Yards! Is it the best Japanese food in the area? No. But not bad for Watertown. The ramen was perfectly cooked, not soggy, but the char shew was disappointing. It looked and tasted like thinly sliced ham. The half boiled egg was perfect and I liked the clear shio soup base. Kaki fries were fresh, though the sauce used was not complimentary for kaki fries.

Renata Dias: Delicious food. Great service. Love it!!!
Caroline Blassick: Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Yakitori was well-cooked and flavorful. Loses a point for the value though; portion sizes were very small and if you come hungry, dinner will be quite pricey compared to other Boston restaurants of similar style/quality. Maybe best to come for late-night or afternoon snacks and drinks, rather than a full meal.
Justin Ang: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes YakitoriMore
Yasuhiro Tabata: Amazing restaurant. Foods are pretty authentic. If they can increase the variety of Yakitori (currently only 3), it would be even better.Parking: The mall offers plenty of free parking.
Nigar Rizaoglu: Sooo good 💞
Kyle Jannak-Huang: Great vibes, amazing food, super friendly service. Sat at the bar with my wife. We ordered kaiyaki (grilled scallops), three different yakitori skewers (king oyster mushroom, pork belly, Momo chicken thigh), chicken karaage, takoyaki, and miso ramen. Everything came out quickly. The grilled scallops came out on a gas-power hot plate in butter and scallions, it was definitely the highlight for me. The yakitori skewers were delicious, next time I will try the rest of them. All the types of chicken we ordered (thigh skewer, karaage, and in the ramen) were so tender. The server working the bar noticed how much we liked the food and treated us to complimentary yellowtail belly sashimi, which was so tender and fresh. Phenomenal experience and flavors. On the way out, the staff all thanked us for coming in both English and Japanese (love when Japanese restaurants are run by actual Japanese people). Will definitely come back!Vegetarian options: Amazing vegetable skewers.Parking: Free parking garages nearby.

Ben T: I walked in on a busy Friday and got seated immediately. I had an excellent meal that was reasonably priced, with great wait staff. I ordered several yakitori skewers (the chicken thigh was amazing), a spicy yellowtail hand roll, and a miso ramen with perfectly fried chicken karage. Everything was delicious and I wish I could have ordered more. Tori Jira also has an extensive selection of Japanese whiskeys and sake for a reasonable price. This is a great spot for some delicious comfort Japanese food, with a variety of small plates and drinks. I will absolutely be back!
Morris Sullivan: My wife and I had dinner at Tori Jiro, and loved it. She had ramen with miso broth and I had vegetable curry rice bowl with chicken added. We also got a couple of yakitori skewers--the oyster mushrooms and hangar steak--and had taiyaki for dessert. (That's a fish-shaped pastry filled with bean paste, which they serve with a dab of whipped cream.) The food was all really delicious! The staff was very attentive, and service was great. It's also a really lovely restaurant, so was overall a very nice experience.
Grace Davis: Amazing food - great service. Presentation is wonderful and atmosphere is good.
Michael Wang: it's too expensive for the type of food that they serve especially when you are expected to order multiple of the same thing for the entire table. yakitori needs to be seasoned in sauces too which are notably absent. service is slow too. not recommended. if you do stumble in there, the food is passible.
Matthew Winer: Recommended dishes Miso Ramen, Chicken Karaage, Curry Rice with Chicken Karage Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lotMore
Abdohamis Tran: Food was decent albeit pricy... Highly recommend the yakitori and the seared mackerel! The atmosphere is very nice, and the interior is a lot more spacious than you'd assume.Bonus points: the bathroom was very clean and had a super nice asthetic.

Vincent Cheung: I crave sushi almost weekly and my girlfriend and I have tried a number of places but we can never take our mind off of the omakase for two.The sushi is very fresh with generous portions and sharing the omakase always makes for a fun date night. Jay Shen: This place has a lot of variety, and for those who are selective about what they eat, they should be able to find at least something. One can order many different kinds of food as the portion is small, and then try them all. In terms of food quality, it is pretty good, just not outstanding. When it comes to Japanese food here in the United States, sometimes one can feel like it tastes very similar no matter where one goes. My friends and I did not order a lot of dishes, but the one we got were solid. Next time I visit, I should give the Omakase for 2 a try to see if that will enhance my experience!
Justin Fong: When I came here when it opened, I was not impressed. The skewers seemed cooked on a griddle and there was no smokiness, and the skewers were barely seasoned. But this weekend, they turned it around! I actually ordered every skewer on the menu, and they were all tasty and seasoned well. This might be because every skewer had a healthy helping of shichimi togarashi, which I happen to like. You could argue there was no variety of flavor to each item because of this, but at the end of the day I enjoyed them all.For those that like to drink, they have 2 separate bar areas. I came with family and it's not the best for kids but we made it work.

YS -: It's too bad, big brothers, it's okay to eat bad food, the oldest old waiter is like his mother owes her money. When I asked her what was in the comobo, she couldn't answer, and the old jb sneered there. I don't know if they are polite to foreigners, just like Chinese people. It’s the first time I’ve encountered such an outrageous one in Boston for a month. I really don’t know why there are so many high scores. Blackout forever.Forgot to mention, the shop is full of Chinese people. The employees all eat staff meals at the bar, chatting loudly. This level really changes careers, don't be ashamed.

Mike P: I didn't know what to expect after being invited by a friend and was very impressed by the flavors and the freshness of the sushi. Drinks were very good as well. Definitely recommend.
William Ly: Food was okay. Service needs muuuuch improvement. host was on her phone tucked away and a server had to fish her out. Got tag teamed by different server with attitude and did not feel welcomed at all because we only ordered small bites and drinks with no entrees. I understood then and there why their place was half empty on a Friday night while everywhere else had an hour waitlist. But try it yourself. Your experience might differ...might.
KaLe E: Omori's sushi was pretty standard in the past.Unfortunately, their spicy tuna was very lackluster. It's like they had added fillers? Very weird. Didn't taste like tuna either. 😕Food: 1/5 …More
