The lining had dry rotted and I really didn't want to buy a generic shade; I wanted mine restored. Concord replaced the lining and it looks brand new. Amazing that they could do this. Any future work is definitely going to Concord.

Both lampshade purchases were completed virtually. On both occasions, I worked with Ann to ensure the final product was exactly what I wanted. She sent me fabric samples and trims to choose from after describing to her the lamps and the shade ‘look’ that I was trying to achieve. Both lampshades met all of my expectations and the quality was excellent. Highly recommend!

The old silk shade had become really torn and ratty, and, after looking at this lamp for 40 years, I just couldn't bring myself to buy a ready-made shade in the wrong size. Ann at Concord Lamp & Shade offered me options, and we went with refurbishing the shade's original frame and recovering it in similar fabric. I HONESTLY CAN HARDLY TELL THE DIFFERENCE FROM THE ORIGINAL SHADE! Concord's operation is top notch: professional, detailed, and truly custom. I simply could not be happier. It's a small shop and full of lamps and shades, but they can order custom made shades too. The clerk was very pleasant even with a store full of people waiting on a Saturday. Jordi Gil: Beware the EGO repair center:TL;DR Before you pick up an EGO repair unit:* ALWAYS check your original S/N against the unit you're picking up from repairs in case they switched it for a different one.* ALWAYS check that the unit is working well, not just what was fixed.------------------------In July 2022, I brought my EGO snow blower for repairs to this repair center. A few weeks later I was informed that it had been fixed and I could pick it up at this location. When I did, I noticed it looked like a new unit with no wear or tear, it appeared to be a new one (later on I noticed it had a different S/N). I tested the fixed part (the chute) and it worked fine. I pressed the left handle and the unit moved. In all senses, it appeared to work well, so I took it with me.When I used it this January 2023 for the first time, I discovered that the auger was not working. I called EGO for help and they told me to bring it for repairs at this Lowe's location. Weeks later I get an email that I could pick up the fixed unit. When I went to pick it up, they brought a dust covered unit that did not match the Serial Number of the unit I brought in for repairs. This time, I declined to pick up the unit as I was not informed the repair consisted in switching the unit and I was weary it could be another faulty unit as its dust covered appearance did not give me confidence.Following up with Lowe's customer service I was informed that they misplaced the labels and I was not supposed to pick up that dust covered unit. Days later, I got an email that because the unit had a broken handle, it was not covered by the warranty and if I wanted it fix, I had to pay ~$200. I complained that this unit NEVER worked in the first place and that it was their fault for giving me a broken unit as a fix for my original snow blower. It didn't change a thing. Lowe's representative insisted that they will not pay for the repairs and that they can't find my original snow blower anymore, supposedly fixed.Now I'm left with no other choice but to pay myself for a problem that is Lowe's fault.Moral of the story: Avoid this repair center for EGO units. But if you have to use their service, ALWAYS, ALWAYS make sure that you're getting the right unit by checking the Serial Number and that all functions WORK PROPERLY before accepting it.I hope this helps./Jordi

Corporate designed the store in a way to make you think the service is better by making the place bright and pretty. Everything's more expensive and you have workers who don't know anything, even the tenured folks.Secondly managers are all unionized against the workers and some of them are straight up p*dophiles. They act all cool and take smoke breaks together but they're all horrible people who will fire you if they're simply having a bad day. We're being abused, currently part time but working constantly and getting burnt out. We've lost so many good people lately. Remember that good service doesn't mean that the workers are happy. Go to home depot instead, they actually treat their workers like people and in return you'll get cheaper products and maybe less than perfect service. (If you're man enough to handle such a horror 😂)

Sarah Ryman: Called ahead for an appointment was told they were not busy and to come over. When we arrived, we were pointed to some lights and the salesperson went back to her desk. She did come back over to tell us the price (clearly marked) of the lights we were looking at and to print out some papers. She did not offer to look up similar styles or give suggestions or do any of the things you would expect of an in-person visit with a website that states, appointment suggested. On our way out I asked how to purchase, we were told, online. I guess she couldn't be bothered- no name or card given. Other than a few more in-person selections, big box store had stock or could be ordered within a week instead of the 4-6 weeks we were told. Even though we saw some fixtures we liked, their indifference cost them our sale.

On Saturday morning, Jenafer called to say that she had been waiting for a callback from one of their sources but, it never came. However, it turned out that one of her Coworkers had discovered the parts that I needed in their warehouse and would gladly sell them to me.I arrived at the store and was greeted with an incredible showroom bustling with activity and several employees happy to assist me. I met Jenafer, who made sure that the parts were the correct ones, paid a discounted price for them and was on my way.Just Lights and Jenafer specifically, turned what could have been a major inconvenience into a non-issue and I am truly grateful.If you’re looking for anything lighting related, check with Just Lights in Nashua first and ask for Jenafer, you won’t be disappointed.

He went out of his way to explain things and provided a helpful experience. I know there have been blogs whereby folks have indicated significant frustration. I too have run into that with another sales person who sold me a ceiling fan and after trying to hire an electrician to put it in a 16 foot ceiling- to no avail- had to return it and could not get my money refunded- which was a huge issue. Remember, sometimes its not the salesperson's fault- it Corporate's lousy/frugal policies. Go to Andy next time in the Kingston Store- he's patient and he's great to deal with!

In the 20 minutes we spent in the store (we were the only customers there), two employees passed right by us and didn’t say a word. Didn’t say hello, didn’t ask if they could help us, nothing. Johnny Ray Maloney: Well here's a tip. When you go to the store they will discount your purchase 10% or 20% for items $500 and up. So find what you like in the store and ask for a printout on it. You will get all the info on your light and you will get a card with a discount code to use online. Go to their website and put in the code at checkout and you could save up to 40%. The light I bought was about $90.00 less online than in the store. Oh, the selection is incredible. Beautiful stuff.

huhuh huhuhu: Sketchy business practice. This place has the worst customer service ever. During Covid 19 lockdown their stores were closed and they offered “free shipping and returns” online. We placed an order online and had to return some due to quality and style issues.We returned the items and they charged us a restocking fee. We contacted them for a receipt of the restocking fee for each item we returned and they came back saying it was a return-shipping fee (which one is it?). They then ignored all emails trying to get a receipt for our return. (Sketchy business practice.)Either way we contacted our credit card company to dispute the charges and received our money back. Corky McCormick is the “customer service guy” and we went in store after they opened again for help, but they were all useless. This is what happens when you try to support local businesses during a pandemic.We have been giving all our business to lightingnewyork.com and they’ve been amazing every step of the way. Felipe L: Bad experience during self checkout. Was not allowed to “self checkout” by an employee named “Jorge” at 12:17pm. When I asked if there is no longer a self checkout. His response was “I guess not” he then proceeded to scan my items. Not sure why but he seemed visibly upset, maybe Home Depot should think about making sure customer service oriented people work the checkout area. Also if it is a self checkout then I should be able to check myself out.
Ron Cicotte: This is my regular store. They seem to see me coming and roll out the red carpet. It seems like I've spent half of my life here since I moved to Nashua in 2007. This time I had a pinhole leak in a spray hose for the kitchen sink. I had a brand new replacement hose that had been sitting in my workshop in the basement for several years. But when I removed the leaking hose in the kitchen and compared it to the replacement I found that it had a brass tube that fit into the quick-release valve connecting it to the faucet assembly. Whereas the replacement had a 3/8" female coupling on the end of the spray hose. So I was looking for a short brass tube fitting with a 3/8" threaded base that would fit into the replacement spray hose to connect it to the quick-release valve.When I got to the store it was very busy. I found the assistant in the plumbing department where the fittings are but he was busy with another customer so I waited for a few minutes until there was a break in his conversation with the other customer. When I showed him the old and new hose couplings he directed me to bay 5 and said he'd be there in a few minutes. So I did as directed and looked high and low while I waited for the assistant. About 10 minutes later he showed up and found the piece I was looking for in about 10 seconds. When I got home I added some teflon tape and threaded the new brass piece into the spray hose assembly and installed it in the sink and connected it to the quick-release valve. Then I turned on the hot and cold water and tested the new sprayer and voila! All is right with the world once more thanks to the knowledgeable people at the Home Depot at my favorite store on Coliseum Ave. in Nashua. 👏👏👏

Carmella Kearns: When our 30 year old fluorescent light cover fell and broke, we thought we were going to have to get new lights since we couldn’t find new covers locally. My husband searched the internet and found Fluorolite Plastics in Hudson, Massachusetts. He called and spoke to a gentleman who knew exactly what we needed and was very helpful. We sent the measurements and received new covers very quickly. They were packed very well to protect from damage. So glad we found Fluorolite Plastics since replacing the covers was much easier than trying to find new lights. Thanks!!!

There is a significant lack of training for customer service reps and consistently will deliver false information. Inconsistent practices. Website lists incorrect items. Website has no uniform way of listing measurements. 0 stars if possible. They would rather loose out 500 plus dollars to try to win an argument and say they’re right. DO NOT USE THEM. use literally anyone else. Prices are marked way up on Amazon than on their website also. Just avoid at all costs.

Sally Scott: If I could give less than one star, I would. Ordered a jelly jar from them. It arrived damaged. The top part is separated from body. They refuse to refund it as they said it was non-refundable. Even sent pictures of the damage. Only company that I know that doesn’t replace a broken item. Told me I could return the broken item, but I would have to pay for shipping & therefore not feasible. Really poor customer service. BEWARE OF BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY. If anything gets damaged during shipping her are simply out of luck. Great way of doing business!!! Will be reporting to BBB.

It looks like a completely different diffuserEDIT: My bulbs are indeed LED like the owner response implies. I was upgrading from fluorescent to LED on this fixture. I didn't foresee this issue. It sounds like they can't resolve it as long as I'm using LED. I guess I'll look into frosted LED bulbs so the light isn't as harsh on the diffuserORIGINAL: The lines in the diffuser (see pic) are super lame. (No, those aren’t shadows from the bulbs.) The cracked diffuser I was replacing with this custom order didn’t have any such lines in it and was perfectly smooth.Everything else about my experience was about as ideal as you could ask for, considering I was asking for a custom order of something that requires precise measurements—over the internet. The dimensions of the new diffuser worked out well enough (they were actually impressively close to my old diffuser), but only after I replaced the included plastic mounting hooks from the new diffuser with the metal mounting hooks from the old one (which conveniently and impressively fit on the ‘mounting hook lip’ of the new diffuser).Customer service was always pretty quick to respond (after I gave them a nudge), and they didn’t need to bother me with additional questions after I sent in my custom request. Maybe there’s a different custom diffuser company who makes smoother puff diffusers without those nasty lines in them. (BUT would a different company make your custom order as accurately and efficiently on their first go? Not sure.)

Once we met Doug at the Lighting Showroom in Bedford, we were won over. The wealth of knowledge and insight Doug shared with us won us over. Both are creative and definitely know their stuff when it comes to lighting design, especially kitchen lighting design. The showroom has a great selection. Pricing is competitive with other stores and websites. I would recommend The Lighting Showroom in Bedford to anyone.
Brian F: Worked with their staff (Rebecca & Wendy) to pick out replacement lighting for our family room (1990's white big can track lighting had to go)- the new lights look great. Not only did we end up with new fixtures that match the room, but a lower electric bill thanks to the recommended LED bulbs as well (we got MUCH better quality/performance bulbs through them than you'd get at Home Depot or Lowes). I'd highly suggest checking this place out.

Michael: It should have been a pleasant and easy experience. Just rewiring. I got the call we broke and can't repair or place it. This has been very bad. Broke my Mothers 55 year old Waterford Chandelier. We are devastated. All we have is memory's of every family gathering under the Chandler.

Peggy Steele: My only regret with this store is that I didn't find it sooner. I am building a house for the first time and was completely overwhelmed with how much lighting I needed and the online options. Walking into this beautiful showroom was like a breath of fresh air. To be able to physically see the lighting in 3D as opposed to the 2D online made me so happy. Lucy walked me through the entire showroom and noted my style and what I was looking for. I then received a design book within a few days so I could make my options. They ended up selling me a floor model for a chandelier that I loved that was no longer being made. I then also purchased a dining room chandelier that they found online for me that is gorgeous and the island pendants. They arrived in a timely manner and they held them until my house was ready for install. I am anxious to have them installed and then I will post a picture. I would highly recommend checking out Lucia though for any lighting needs you have. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming.
Allie Vered: The store is beautiful with a great selection. I spent a lot of money. Unfortunately there was a problem with one fixture and I tried to contact them several times to find a replacement part that I was willing to pay for. I came to the store and she was apologetic and very nice to my face and promised to take care of it. Then she blew me off and stopped responding. I am stuck with lighting that worked for less than six months and will be complicated to fix on my own. Really disappointing.

bob vincent: I would give them 0 stars if possible. I visited earlier today. The first salesperson sent me upstairs alone(!) to look around. She never joined me. Then I went downstairs to talk to the people about some of the items I had seen, and to ask about other selections. They threw a few catalogs at me, and pulled out a sample of some lights they were pushing. When I expressed disinterest the first salesperson asked if she could help with another customer "for a second". 20 minutes later another salesperson showed up. She took the numbers from some of the catalog items I had found, and said she would send me info by email. I went to the restroom, and she said she would be sending the email with quotes and websites "after lunch". It is now 6PM and still no email!
