Willow Manor: what do users think?
Carole Orourke: Both my in laws are residents and i will say the staff has been very good to them and to us.
Elizabeth Matthews: I see the residents who can make their needs known are able, to get the care they need. Other residents need more simulation, and inter action, with staff or volunteers.
Kathleen Donaghue: My mom was there from 01-07-22 through 05-10-22. During that time she fell three times. The last time was 05-04-22. She broke her right elbow, and had a huge bruise on her forehead. As I review her medical notes,, there are lies, after lies, after lies. Lies from the social worker, and elaborate notes stating family left happy. (This was noted the day after she broke her elbow) There was nothing happy about my sister-in-law and I that day. We were angry and we let them know it. We had a meeting that day with the Social Worker and director of nursing. The director of nursing seemed very concerned about our concerns and the social worker was just saying what she thought we wanted to hear. She didn't even come with a piece of paper and a pen to take notes. Instead, she asked to borrow mine. The story goes on and the whole story will be out there for everyone to hear soon enough. I don't want this nightmare to happen to any other family. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE ONE STAR IS BECAUSE IT DIDNT GIVE ME AN OPTION FOR ZERO! Update 05-13-2022: read the response to my review from Genesis. When you respond to that email they provide, they send you and automated message stating they will investigate. Such bull. They can't even bother to send a personal email. They don't want to know what happened they just want us to go away. When I responded to the email I stated I was getting my duck's in a row and so should they. An automated message is what I received. What a JOKE! Update 05-19-2022. When you go to their website, they say they are fully staffed. This is not the case. Two weeks ago tomorrow I was told "we are not fully staffed right now." You didn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. They have no business taking on new patients when they don't have enough staff. It is reckless. If you have a loved one that needs help, DO NOT PUT THEM IN WILLOW MANOR. This will be the biggest regret of my life. UPDATE: 05-25-2022. My duck's are in a row and we are moving forward. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, hold on tight to your loved ones. KEEP THEM HOME!!!UPDATE: It's been 5 weeks and 5 days since my mother passed. The guilt is overwhelming from putting her in Willow Manor. My Mom spent the last 5 days of her life in severe pain because of her broken arm and not getting any care. I ache without her. I feel guilty because no one should ever have to suffer the way Mom did. I cry everyday day for her. I beg God to give her back to me. The guilt is so consuming. I hope who ever reads this is taking my words to heart.
Sarah Turcotte: Thanks to the team at Willow Manor for the support they provide their families. The Genesis family is always helpful and supportive when reaching out for resources. Thankful to have these facilities as a resource for local families.
Laurie Berard: My mother was a resident at Willow for about 5 years. The facility is run down and out-of-date but we were more concerned with the care. While the family was able to visit she appeared to be cared for. When Covid started and family visits were suspended we were unsure of the care she was receiving. When scheduled visits were allowed we noticed a drastic decrease in our mother, physically, emotionally and mentally.. Our mother passed away at the end of September and we have many concerns that we will probably never receive answers for. What has upset us even more is that when we went to see our mother the day she passed we stated we would be back to pack up her belongings. We were told the facility would do that and have everything ready for us. We received part of our mother's belongings and two months later, after several calls, we still have not received the rest of her things and I have not heard from Willow in the past two weeks regarding this issue.
j shaw: My father has been a resident at Willow Manor for several years now. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 and the risk for our older members of the community we're not able to go inside and visit. This breaks my heart.Previously I'd bring all 7 of my children to visit and every staff member would greet them, the other residents got to know us as well and were so happy for us to stop in weekly. My father would enjoy some different daily food choices, but I'm able to (still, with C-19) drop off his favorites to keep in his room. I used to be able to pick him up and take him out, or even for walks around the neighborhood. The numbers are just too high now in this area to do so safely. While visiting during Covid-19 the visits are outside when nice, under an umbrella for shade. Now that it's cooler the staff has worked so hard to set up a safe, warm place for us to continue seeing our loved ones. The one down side of Willow Manor would be that it's a bit outdated, that doesn't take away from the care and concern shown toward residents. Thank you, for helping my father when I can't!
Collette Jolliffe: My Mother was a resident at Willow Manor for over 3 years. The last year and a half she appeared to be deteriorating more rapidly. She couldn’t put 2 sentences together and wasn’t able to let them know she needed to go to the bathroom. She always seemed to be less than clean and when I asked if they showered her, they always told me yes. Her hair was always very greasy, and we always requested that her sheets be changed. They said they could not cut her fingernails because it wasn’t part of their job. Here clothes looked like they were used as a tablecloth. If we wanted to take her out, we would have to come really early to make sure she was clean and ready to go.There was someone there to visit every couple of days and we never had the same schedule, we always visited at different times and different days. Mom never seemed to be taken care of and it weighed on us because no matter how much we complained it was the same all the time. Now with the COVID pandemic of course things got worse and we couldn’t visit. We thought with her dementia there was a chance that she may not even know who we were when it was over. We tried Zoom calls to keep her knowing who we were. We took notice that her fingernails were so long and dirty, her hair was dirty and there was nothing at all we could do about it. Our hearts were bleeding and we thought that was the way Mom was going to die, alone and thinking nobody cared about her.In the middle of June, we received a call from D’Youville Manor that after a 5-year waiting period they had a spot for Mom if we were interested. Of course, we were interested and quickly said yes. We moved Mom over the 2nd week of July. What did you know, by the middle of August, Mom was having full 45 minute conversations, her hair, body and fingernails were always clean, and she appears to be so happy. I am told that she goes to the bathroom on her own as well, she hasn’t had accidents. We all feel that the only justification for this was Mom was being over medicated. This went on for many years. Now that she has moved out of Willow Manor we have our Mom back.I wasn’t going to post but I feel I’m not being fair to others that are seeking safe places for their parents when they can no longer care for themselves. I know I want the best for my Mom.My Mother was a resident at Willow Manor for over 3 years. The last year and a half she appeared to be deteriorating more rapidly. She couldn’t put 2 sentences together and wasn’t able to let them know she needed to go to the bathroom. She always seemed to be less than clean and when I asked if they showered her, they always told me yes, clearly that was not the case. We are happy to have Mom back.
Elaine Cummings: My sister and I visited our brother for the first time since the closure due to covid-19. We were extremely pleased with the safety measures in place that made this a safe visit. Great job Willow Manor!
Debbie Reilly: Awesome . Everything was grand. Could be an improvement on food!!!!!!
Donna Shipp: My uncle is at Willow and I am very happy with his care! There is very little he can do for himself and the staff are very attentive to his needs. I know he is safe and well cared for. They are always available to discuss any changing needs he has, and have been very good at meeting him where he is at. Moving my Uncle to Willow Manor has been a very good experience for us!
Kathleen Brodeur: Mom has been here for a few years now. They definitely need more caring staff.
Jillian Monica: My mother was in a decent nursing home, but it was too far away. I work in health care and heard good things about 2 LTC facilities in Lowell. One was Willow. I worked with Tina in admissions. She answered all of my questions and took care of everything. She kept me updated on the process and welcomed my mother warmly. My mother was thrilled she had more than one choice for lunch and supper, she has her own landline and even a bathroom right in her room - all things she did not have at her former LTC facility. They always make us feel welcome when we visit and the place is always clean. I like the neighborhood and that we can visit and not have to worry.
Sue Wilson: If I could rate this below 1 I would. This place is filthy and outdated. It is also very understaffed. While my family member was there the care from the nursing staff was below standards. They would up in the hospital with a very bad infection. Items went missing and no one cared and would just put the blame on him. We are finally at a facility with caring staff from nurses and aides. Would NEVER recommend this place. I even had an ambulance driver ask where my family member was coming from and when I told them they said thank god they are out of there. Horrible just horrible!
Marie Stevens: Was in today to visit a friend. Place looked good. Staff is attentive and very nice. Lunch smelled and looked delicious. Thanks to all the staff for making my friends Thanksgiving nice.
Jeanne ONEILL: Love the people that work at willow manor they are great caregivers and always keep me informed.
Michael Nickles: My experience at willow manor was fantastic...the staff and the administrators took care of mydad above and beyond...would highly recommend willow to anyone for rehab or elderly care
Vincent Cahalane: My dad is always well taken care of when he is at Willow Manor. The staff is awesome and he loves it there, he chose to stay there long term when the time came and I wasnt at all surprised.
Andrew T: If you care about your loved one's health, I'd reconsider allowing them to be admitted to this "rehab". My mother has experienced neglectful staff not emptying her urine bag regularly, slow or no responses from nurses when calling for them, been given food that had already been partially eaten (see picture), was refused her necessary chemo pills for the entire first week she had stayed, amongst so much else. There are a few nurses who are very nice and do their job correctly, but they can't treat my mother personally 24/7. This place needs to be inspected much closer before allowing patients to be kept here. KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES AWAY.
ashley kirouac: I had a family member here and the experience from start to finish was the best that it could be. Willow Manor is a very nice and well run facility, clean & it smelled nice throughout every time I visited. The administration was always very responsive and available to my concerns or questions. If needed in the future, I would absolutely choose to place another family member here. Highly recommended.
kathryn johnson: My experience with Willow Manor has been nothing but fantastic. The nursing staff and CNAs truly care for the patients to the best of their ability. You will not be disappointed if you have a loved one there!
Kris Navan: I would give this place negative stars if it were possible. Never in my life have I met so many incompetent medical "professionals" in one place. How this facility hasn't been sued into oblivion is beyond me. My mother has been a patient here for three weeks and in that time the staff have tried to force my mother to take medications she doesn't need, while simultaneously refusing to give her what her doctor has prescribed. They have kept her in bed rather than trying to have her walk as her doctor ordered, and have forgotten to call Pride Star to bring her to and from her radiation appointments. Her catheter is always full when I visit her and we have to remind the staff to empty it because they don't do regular checks, and after they finally removed it they change her diaper over an hour after she requested it. Whenever we ask the staff a question and they don't know the answer, they say they'll get back to us with one but they never do. We have to press the staff at this facility to do their jobs, and I am thankful that my mother is still in her right mind to refuse medications that aren't hers and to repeatedly remind the staff to do what they need to do for her because I can't be here 24/7. She currently has a roommate suffering the exact same problems with staff being slow to respond or not responding at all. I can only imagine how much worse it is for other patients who never seem to have visitors or are suffering from dementia or are otherwise unable to advocate for themselves. For the love of God, do not send your loved ones to this place.

Fairhaven Healthcare Center: what do users think?
Ginger Gretza: My mom has been at Fairhaven since March 2022. The staff is awesome they make sure she is comfortable. My mom is well taken care of and I am glad she came here.
EIS Inc.: Very clean facility with thoughtful and caring staff and care workers. Highly recommend this facility.
Janice Solomon: Excellent response from personnel when I was inquiring about the facility.
Edgar Rodriguez: My girlfriend is dead because of this place when she was fine
SweetVcity XY: when you call them they do this t mobile thing where u have to say a passcode to talk to them or something that gets me very mad
Senhora Catolica: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThey don't have phones In the patients rooms. The nurses barely answer the phone so its nearly impossible to get a hold of your loved ones. I tired to leave my number for the nurse to call me and she never called me back. This place is horrible. I don't understand how a place like this is still open.
Steven Speranza: This place is probably the absolute worst health care facility on the planet. The staff is rude and unprofessional. The actual facility is unsanatary and unhospital-like. The food is dicusting and could barely keep a mouse from starving to death and I was treated more like an inmate in a correctional facility serving time than a patient with a life threatening infection in his spine. They violated my HIPPA rights and constantly accused me of using drugs onsite just because I'm a recovering addict even though I passed all my tox-screens.
Wes Pratt: I am at Fair Haven now and all though it isn't the Ritz the food has improved and the staff is great. This is a safe environment to be in they are here to help they have met all my physical needs and are working on helping me with my depression so if your looking for help ask no further
Michael Saber: This was the worst facility I ever seen it smells like urine in the main halls, dining areas and rooms are very disgusting!!!!The staff is completely clueless and rude. All you hear is call bells going off day and nite unanswered. How the state let's this place operate is a completel mystery and who ever operates the place should be embarrassed. Please think twice before bringing a loved one there. There is no privacy and the staff gossip personal information freely with other patients???wich is very illegal
Susan Hahn: My Dad was in an amazing assisted living facility, but needed to be moved to a locked facility for fear of elopement (as his disease progresses). I cannot believe a place like this is allowed to remain open. I felt like I was on candid camera. It was dirty and in disrepair. No one seems to know what is going on or seems to care. He was crammed in a very small room with another man. The room barely fit two twin beds. Someone had come in my dad's room and peed on the floor all the way to the hall. They cleaned the hall, but not his room until I asked.
Jamaal W: Awful staff rude rude rude. And never inform you of loved ones condition.
Josh McAnistan: If you love your friends and or family, do not let them go here! These people could not care less about their patients, the stuff they do to these people is disgusting!! This place needs to be closed down.
Linda Robarge: My mother broke her pelvic bone, already had a broken arm and was transferred from Lowell General to Fairhaven. When I first went to visit her I was stunned at the clutter and the over all appearance of the place. Her room was small, had another patient in it and walking through you could see rooms with up to 3 beds in them.My opinion was it was to small for three beds.As anywhere some of the workers were good, others seemed like they could care less. You could ring your buzzer and at times it seemed forever before someone came.My mother was in there for falling,so common sense would to be to watch out for this.Well one night she got out of bed and right down on her face she went. She was on the floor, yelling for help, her words were it took forever before someone came. She ended up back at LG with a bruised forehead, two black eyes,a bruise on her hand.Luckily she didn't break any other bones.Personally I wonder how this could of happened as she was labeled "At risk of Falling".She personally didn't like it, she said some of the aides were not very nice.If you haven't got a caring heart this profession isn't for you.Rather than just hire people just to have workers I think they need to be more selective in their choosing. And the atmosphere is depressing so it's hard to see how someone would get better there.I would not recommend Fairhaven to anyone.
mgmartel5: The telephone number is ALWAYS busy :(
Smartie Cup: Unfortunately, my Mom's poor health has forced us to have her in more than 7 Nursing Homes over the last 5 years or so. We've seen them all - the good - the bad and the ugly! For the past 10 months, she's been at Fairhaven. We only wish we found this place 3 years ago. The differences are astounding! She's never been more healthier and happier. She calls it "home" now. We agree! We know she'll never come back to her real home, but I can't imagine a better place for her to be - - - and believe me, we've seen them all.I've never written a review of any kind. But when I saw Kim Rotondis review below I felt compelled to defend my Mother's "new home". If your a family member and you've never been in any Nursing Home before, it can be quite a shock. And that's understandable Kim. I remember my first time. I'll bet you this was the first time Kim was ever in a Nursing Home as the things she states are seen in every Nursing Home we've ever been into. It's the nature of the population! The key to a quality experience is not watching other patients drooling in the hallways - - that's too sad. Instead, it's watching, and being by the side of those nurses and aides when they give care to your Mom. And at Fairhaven, I've never seen it done any better!! Thank you Fairhaven!! I hope you see this post and I hope you share it with all of your incredible employees!! God Bless you all!!
Georgest yoyo: I have been working in Fairhaven health care center for a year and I can say that facility really take care of their residents. They receive 24 hours of care every day and staff members including CNA, nurse... work as much as they can to make residents feel like home. I remember a day one of the residents was very upset because she could find her white pants in her closet. one of the nurses went to talk to her and promised to get her white pants. Couple minutes later, she got it and and everyone could see on her face how blissful she was. As that resident, staff members are always here for residents and they are always make sure about residents' needs.I am not saying that the facility is perfect but i do know that residents' care, needs and safety are our priority.
Kim Rotondi: My mother has been in this facility for 2 yrs..I have to say this place does not care about any of the elderly, the buzzers go off and no one moves, my mother happened to fall and I have no idea how long she was on the floor until they found her. These people make it sound like the care and promise things are getting done. I have a list of deceit. There social activity is sitting in the hall way drooling or screaming, the form of exercise is walking to the dining area and back to their room.Recently I stopped in to visit my mother and I checked on her clothes and there was nothing in her dresser, now mind you there is or was over a months worth, I mentioned to the aide then the social services person they seemed surprised, really the top my mother had on wasn't even hers.Sadly they suck the elderly dry and do not get the proper care, looks can be deceiving... It's truly a shame..I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, if you love your loved one find another place.

CareOne at Lowell: what do users think?
Dan Graham: Support staff sleeping on the job and they are extremely rude. Maybe I’ll get a job there. Apparently all you need is a pulse to get hired.
larissa Paolantonio: a friend of mine who has no family in this country was placed here after his employer could no longer pay for him to be at Spaulding in Charlestown. he has an brain injury and is basically being left to die in this facility. There has been no progress since he arrived there, he constantly needs to be bathed and it is the hardest thing watching him sit there. He has state insurance now but there's got to be a better place for him than this.
Carlette McDaniels: I’ve had the joy of working for this company for 11 years and see the compassion and care they give to persons who have great struggles and challenges. They are committed to seeing all their residents succeed and have an improved quality of life!
Joe Moscato: The van driver swore at me while i was being nice. He has a bad attitude and no respect for other people
Rob Stan: Don't bring your family members here if you care about them the staff is mostly sub par and uncaring.
Taylor Jackson: Great place to work. Staff truly care about the residents and each other. Management is supportive and there is daily learning opportunities to grow in your field. Nursing goes above and beyond for their residents care. Residents are well loved and taken care of by all.
Renee Lessard: horrible and abusive to residents AND employees!
Jackline Gitau: They have groups and activities for the residents to enjoy.
Ashneily Torres: CNA's and nurses do not even care about the residents. They leave them sitting in their own shit for hours. When residents pull their call lights for help, nurses let it ring for about an hour to then help them later. Mind you, while its ringing, a resident could possibly be in danger. My boyfriend, Sister, and I all worked there for only about a month or 2. The boss has preferences on certain employees. She let's go of people who actually care about their job, and keeps employees who are only there for the money and don't give a shit about the residents. That is why my boyfriend and sister left that job too, terrible place to work at. And the place is very dirty.
NYRA I.: Horrible place!!!!!!!! Place needs to get shutdown! Find those residents a new place to stay.
julie Craven: our experience was leas than satisfactory. my daughter with a brain injury who is capable of functioning and had a hard time excepting her state went to lowell and was put in diapers and was extremely drugged. when she came home her toenails where growing into her toes. they were never cut also her clothes were dirty as was her hair. this facility should be investigated. Finally, the summary was a laughing stock. This company is money grubby and do not care about the well being of their residence. and i noticed that the rating for this facility leaves alot to be desired.

D'Youville Center For Advanced Therapy: what do users think?
Robin Witts: My mother was a patient doing supposed rehab last year after a short hospital stay due to Ulcerative Colitis. She arrived at the facility and immediatley started declining. They did nothing but tell me every day she was not cooperating. For my family the outcome was very sad because on the last visit I had to make a scene to get my Mother out of there and back to the hospital becasue she was so bad. Ultimately she passed away not even a week later. Experience was terrible and I would be very careful with this place. Not all they say it is. Awful care and a dirty place.
Linda Jackson: It was my first time being at D’Youville Rehab and I can only speak for myself, my caretakers assigned to me as well as the two nursing students to the cleaning crew.through my seven day stay they were so nice and compassionate. I loved everyone I had. The only down fall was their meals, (I didn’t get what was ordered or it was missing items, or they replaced it with something you never asked for, I wished they could have called our room asking if we would like a particular replacement) but I would still give them the five stars.
Ken Jacobus: My mother was a patient there for several days and has been in the past as well. The people are consistently surly and don't treat patients like human beings. They wake them up between 4 and 6AM to bring them down to the scales to get their "dry weight". Whenever you ring your call buzzer, the aides come in and say "what's up?" in an annoyed way.The nursing supervisors were downright rude over the phone. They seem glad that family can't visit at all (total lock down) due to Covid. The PT person seems to care and the facility looks nice. But I'd recommend skipping this place or at least keeping a very close watch on the staff if your loved one is there.
Mary Goose: My mother was recovering from a stroke and D'Youville's staff is amazing, compassionate and patient. My mother suffered a huge set back being at Northwood and back in the hospital. By the grace of God D'Youville had an opening upon her release. We are so grateful. She is now home and getting stronger. Thank you!
Linda Sands: My mom has been here twice. Once after a hip replacement and now a knee replacement. The staff and care is wonderful. Her aid Orlando is taking excellent care of her! She says he's caring, thoughtful and good to everyone! She is very thankful to have him help her get through this!!
steve noyes: My mother is there and she gets wonderful care. Great staff, sparkling facility.
