The Stone Tower: what do users think?
Richie Gonzalez: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry FreeMore
Angela Rempe: Beautiful walk to the tower.
martin dullea: I have been climbing up that hill for 50 years +. Sorry the door was locked to enter Stone tower. Took my boys to Dungeon Rock, that was also locked. Also went to Steel tower, there used to be a Ranger hut on top of it in the late 50s and early 60s. We had a great day none the less. I turn 78 yrs old in a few days and still love hiking all over Lynn woods.

K C: This place is a must see! We went here in October 2021. The trails and the lake are beautiful. You will need to walk up a very steep hill to get to the tower. The view from the tower is gorgeous!
gcRodas: Special place to make a stop in your hiking and see the sunset from the tower.
A Ruiz: Part of my Massachusetts trip- Lovely hike through beautiful fall foliage! The city of Lynn MA is home to the Stone Tower, constructed in 1936 as a fire look out due to it being at the highest point in the city. The Stone tower is open to the public, only a short hike to the top you will find beautiful views of the surrounding woods. This is a great area for wedding photos or any special occasion photos or even a hike to just enjoy nature and clear one’s mind and don’t forget to stop and take a look at the water views along the way. Happy Travels-A
Jasmine Smith: Nice walk to get to. Ended up going back the next day because when we first got there it was closed. Glad we did because the view was amazing!
Sherri V: Nice place to rest during a hike
Stanley Mscisz: A great place for walks, runs and mountain biking.
Vishal Ingale: 1: Nice view and windy from top of tower2: The stairs are small and circular so be careful3: The room below was closed but you can go on top using the stairs4: This seems was a fire watching tower5: Not too far from parking but has small steep climb at the end. Kids can also visit
Walter Rod-Ale: Muy bonito
Amanda (Miss Amanda616): If you enjoy walking in the woods, hiking, running, mountain biking then this stop in Lynn Woods is worth the time! It was build a long time ago, as a way to monitor the harbor (I think), and it’s also featured in the video game fallout (again, I think?!). It was re-done and preserved so the public can enjoy it. For years it was always a locked tower located in the middle of Lynn woods & the public could never enjoy the views from the top, about 10 years ago the city got funding and did an amazing job at bringing this piece of history back to life!
Junwoo Lim: Path to the tower is wide and well maintained. A bit steep toward the end, but manageable 15-min walk from the parking lot. You can step up 1/3 of the tower for a better view. The rest of tower is closed.
Jenn Orrell-Santoro: ***Masks must be worn within 6 feet of others due to Covid19/Coronavirus***Beautiful wooded area with trails clearly marked & paper maps available at either entrance. However, be prepared to climb on rocky/gravel up a couple of steep hills to actually get to the elevation of the towers...however you have a beautiful pond & side trails you can take up/down instead of staying on the main dirt & rocky road - be careful of larger immovable rocks & tree roots on smaller trails though. This is great for all ages & levels of fitness - however take it slower for young or older...and for those with less physical capabilities, or you will get winded to say the least! I plan to go back & explore the other trails - but here are a few shots of the main road/path going up to the Stone Tower #1...and the Tower itself...and then some shots of the view thru the woods coming back down via the Richardson Path to the Cornel Path & out to the main road again...so as to make a loop!!
Daniel Blythe: Very cool stone structure. It wasn't open so couldn't go to the top lookout.
Greg Ragnio: Nice tower and walk up. Wasn't open to go in when we went.
Draco Rosso: It's locked
Erin Meyer: it was a wonderful place, I had a great time,
Dan Brosgol: Nice treat at the tail end of our 4.5 mile hike.
scratchorror: Explorable. Historical. Enriched with mother nature.
