However, at the end of the job I felt less pleased. After my husband paid them and they left, I got up on a ladder to admire the new gutters. Actually, some of them weren't screwed in tightly, there was litter and tools left in some of the gutters, and they hadn't installed the correct amount of gutter guards as quoted (they installed less, and left one gutter with only about a foot uncovered, which is just plain silly). I contacted Zhumas about the issues, but they refused to fix it. I guess they were too busy chasing the next dollar, but it made me feel frustrated that they didn't have enough pride in their work to come back. If I ever use them again, I won't pay them until I get up there and check the work first. Emily Shaw: Literally a week after my skylight install the bottom of the skylight looked like it was melting. This was at the end of august. I contacted the president and he confirmed that this did not look like it was leaking from the photo but has yet to come actually see it or repair the damage that happened A WEEK after the repair. It says I have a 7 year warranty but I have had a horrible experience with reaching out to schedule a time for them to review their work. It has been almost 2 months and still no plan for them to come fix the job they did and expected me to fix this?? Luis if you actually respond and fix this I will take my review down, but you are refusing to respond or schedule a time to come. Steve Shawhan: Called the Roof Doctor for quote on some simple repairs, and got his 60 second (180 if slowed to normal speed) disclaimer up front about how awesome he was, 31 years exp fixing others repairs la-di-da, and how he was going to charge me $50 for the quote and to educate me on roofs. I can't speak for his work, but the phone call was definitely worth a chuckle and the three star review.... Not to mention the idea for a new career. I figure 4 very high quotes an hour at $50 a pop..forget about actually doing the repairs... cause even part time, that's Genius!! Reminded of the guy that panhandled weekends on the plaza, till he was caught driving home to Prairie Village in his new BMW.Ultimately got a quote from a guy with 41 years exp and charged me $30. JK ;)

NICK LUND: My experience with Adam Vaillancourt in November of 2022. I requested a quote for a roof cleaning, but it turned into a quote for a new roof given we did not know the age or history of the roof. I got quotes from multiple companies, and Adam Vaillancourt was the highest, by a lot. The job was straightforward and consisted of removing and installing new shingles, new fascia, new soffits and cutting in a bathroom vent. The total cost was $18,948.00.I figured with the good reviews that I could find; their experience and professionalism would justify the almost 2x higher price for the job. I was wrong.On Installation Day, Juan was the foreman for my job. He was pleasant to chat with but did not verify many details of the job. The crew that was assigned to my job, did not speak English, which led to some confusion about some of the installation as Juan was not at my house for most of the day, and was acting as the translator.The crew moved relatively quickly, and my job was complete around 7:30pm the same night, which left the workers working by flashlight for a few hours. I was not a fan of this, but they did not seem too interested in stretching the job for another day.I checked the work the day after and the roof looked decent, but there were a bunch of issues with the soffits and fascia boards. The “pork chops” were cut poorly and large gaps were just filled with copious amounts of caulk to try to hide the appearance. The soffits were wavy and not tight against the siding of the house leaving large visible gaps and open areas for wind driven rain to enter and damage my home. That day I messaged Juan who was kind of standoffish and just messaged me to “contact customer service” and that he did not have time to come back to look at it.I contacted customer service, but it took weeks to get someone to contact me back. Finally Paul got in contact with me and came to check out the issues. Paul found the pork chops to be cut poorly and issues with the soffits but could not do anything as the weather was too cold and there would be a risk of damaging the siding. He recommended waiting until warmer weather to fix the issues. I agreed with this and was under the assumption all would be taken care of soon. I was wrong again.Paul reached back out (after I emailed customer service to see when he was coming, and to see when the spring cleaning would happen) and he came out mid-April to fix the porkchops. He adjusted one side of the soffit but nothing else. The porkchops now look decent but the soffits remained an issue, so I called him back out to come check them out. I met with him on 4/25 to go over my concerns which consisted of wavy soffits, soffits that can be pushed up into the roof (not secure), gaps along the siding as the soffit does not sit flush, and really expressed my concern with rain and moisture getting between my siding from these gaps. All were met with “there’s nothing else we can do”. I got every excuse in the book thrown at me… “we are just roofers”, “the soffits are just vinyl”, “they will float up with wind”, “they were installed in the wintertime” etc. He did not seem interested in coming up with a solution to actually fix the problem. I floated the idea of putting a wood strip along the rafters, so they actually had something to nail the soffit too, but he did not seem too interested. I mentioned to Paul that this was not the quality I would expect for such an expensive job, and his only reply was"yeah, we are not the cheapest”. Paul said he would discuss with “the higher ups” and let me know, but I am not holding out hope.I also mentioned to Paul that I have not had my spring cleaning and still finding nails and screws everywhere. The spring cleaning was supposed to happen as the roofing crew could not get everything off the ground due to it being frozen with snow, but this supposed cleanup never happened either. Steven Bailey: Impressed by sales and disappointed by everything else. Cleanup was not near what they promised. Nails and plastic all over the place including driveway and kids sandbox. Quality was disappointing as well. Multiple areas where starter shingles hung out past the architectural shingle. Many chipped shingles. The edges look awful, which I have included a picture. Customer service attempted to fix this twice but I am left with a lackluster roof. I am quite disappointed. I feel that what I paid for is not a roof that is of higher quality or workmanship, and quite likely no better than their competitors could have completed for a lower price. Clint and Mo met with me first to go over the process and help me chose the color shingles I wanted. Clint actually went up on the roof during our meeting and pointed out the issues to me so I had a better understanding of what work needed to be done. The materials and dumpster were delivered on the same day, and the whole project took less than 2 full days. Mo was in touch with me through the process letting me know when they would come and when the job would be completed. George Chabot: Empire recently finished painting our house. It also required some repair work that involved replacing most of the lower course of cedar shingles on three sides with PVC board and a drip edge and replacing some individual shingles and a piece of rotted wood behind the gutter. They were prompt and gave a detailed report of the issue and where the leak was coming from on the assessment day. After 15 minutes of conversation and information sharing, I knew I made the right decision. Tim is very knowledgeable in the roofing business. He provided lots of samples. Communication with Tim up to and during the installation was great. They did an exceptional job installing my new roof. They identified and repaired any structural damage they found. Ken Drew: We had finally decided that we did not want to get the clapboards replaced and repaint the house so vinyl siding was the logical choice. One thing we did not want was to have the typical vinyl sided house with white trim. EVERY vinyl sided house has white trim. BORING!!We wanted to keep the same basic color scheme so I began the chore of finding the proper contractor to do the job. I called several companies. Often you can tell by the presentation of the first meeting if they are going to do good work.This was the case with Quinn's Construction. The first contractor was like a used car salesman and was clearly over its head. While being the lowest quote, it was clear the work would be subpar. The second contractor was much better but lost out since they could not find the proper materials to do the job to my satisfaction.Quinn's Construction took ample time to listen to my wants and provided several options to accomplish the goal. They were the highest price but it was clear that you get what you pay for. The crew was professional and prompt. The work was done over the end of winter. We provided our garage to the work force to make life best for all.Some minor issues had to be dealt with but we came to a fair agreement and the work was done as desired. The attention to detail was great. From the trim around the roof line to the address number box and the doorbells, this was done properly. Mike Michel: We had Quinn's install a custom 10' Pella sliding door with two large custom Pella floor to ceiling windows on each side. Due to Covid-19, Quinn's was extremely busy, and Pella took a while to build the custom door and windows. So while we started the measuring process in August, we didn't get the door and windows installed until mid-December. Fortunately, it only took two days to complete and the weather was good for both days.Theses Pella windows and door replaced the original Anderson's that had been in place for close to 50 years. Sun and rain has taken their toll, and there was water damage under the old door. Quinn's team reconstructed all of the framing and added some impressive waterproofing that far exceeded the original install.The two guys who performed the install were polite, meticulous, and left the job clean and complete.We are extremely happy with the results, and will not hesitate to use Quinn's in the future, or recommend Quinn's to others.

James Hardie arranged for 4 companies to bid, and Quinn’s was the most responsive and professional team to respond. I found a few in my area but not one so well reviewed as Wooster Roofing. I sent them a message over the weekend and someone was at my house to look at the roof. I had the estimate in my hands that night and after reviewing it I signed it and sent it back. I had two roofers show up at my house the following week as promised to preform the work. The two roofers explained what they were going to do and treated my property with respect and cleaned up after the work. I even put a lawn sign in my front yard which i never do but they really impressed me from first contact to work being completed and even a follow up text.
