Darr Reilly: Cant imagine a salesman more helpful than Dan Fava at Smart Center of Lynnfield. I had tried a Smart 2016. Drove like a Mac truck. But poised to find an all electric I put Smart back on my list with Chevy Bolt and BMW i3. After reading a bad review, I test drove prepared not to like it so I really put the car through it’s paces. With Dan we took out a Cabrio and drove with the top back, back and down, bars on and off, windscreen up and down and windows up and down with each variation up to 65-70. Dan put up with my demanding ways with total aplomb. And we had fun chatting about the safety features of the Smart that so many people are not aware of. In addition to it’s great ratings (eg. Maximum stars in Euro NCSP tests - check out their video at 64 mph) I personally think that because it is so tall and visible and because it is so small (3 can fit into one parallel parking space), it is less likely to be hit in the first place. And, my gosh, the car knocked my socks off: super acceleration when needed, fantastic tracking (unlike the Bolt and i3), no uncomfortable deceleration (unlike Bolt and i3 even in non-eco mode), and unfathomably wind-free with top-down (only electric convertible on the market). Some reviewers out there just have a chip on their shoulders about small cars I’m convinced. I am sold on the Smart 2017 and on Dan. Best car buying experience ever (and I’m pushing 70).

Throughout the process of trying to find a car, I did but then I was pressured to start a car insurance before actually getting approved for a loan. The "finance manager" told me he would find something around what DCU interest rate was giving me because I was preapproved by them (NEVER WAS I DENIED FROM DCU)but ended up applying to a bank where the loan was double what DCU was giving me. They told me to fill in for information but failed to tell me it was an application to get a loaned approved. They do not tell you or explain everything step by step. They only look for their best interest, after I was not approved for the loan the finance manager said I would be recieving in the mail my deposit that I put down for the car and I NEVER RECIEVED IT. So terrible.. dont waste you time.. they are only looking to get a sale. Went back to see if it was possible to have them work with DCU and the finance manager didnt even say hello, nothing, just walked pass by me.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP FOR A FIRST TIME BUYER ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE YOUNG.

Irishpride 420: Got a car here nice car but they gave me a dead battery. The tires were on there last threads they promised to get me two little things the car needed and kept beating around the bush until the 90 warranty ran out I would absolutely not recommend this place!

Janice Cooper.: The guys selling the cars,nice.hepfull.owner not so much I bought my car there two years ago this March and so far I have put $3,000 into it when I first got it I was told to bring it to a certain garage my sticker was all set ready to go the garage told me they would never pass this car sent it to the dealer's mechanic they supposedly fixed it apparently they didn't . An owner argue with me telling me they did .have had to get new struts tie rods control arms ball joints front brakes back brakes.and now my converter is going I have had to fix the valve in my engine even my windshield wiper hose broke.just don't.stay away.

Gabrielle Ziol: Bought the car less than 6 months ago have already had to put 4100 into it and that’s not including what bmw covered under warranty the coolant lines , a new starter , crank case vent tubes , rear differential mount , rear guibo all had to be paid for out of pocket ! The smoke from the exhaust was ignored from the beginning and told its normal with this engine. This car needed over 10k worth of work in less than 6 months ! Complete mess.

Suspicious activityI baught a cafillac cts here from saleman Anthony for 7850 and was very pleased with the car until I found out that there was a major internal problem with the engine and the car was on its way out. When I brought it back to him it was under the dealership warrantee but he refused to fix the car with the pretence in witch I purchased it. Instead he refused to fix the problem and instead tried to write a 3rd party warrantee and told me to take it to his mechanic, well I did but unfortunatly for me the warrantee he wrote did not cover the problem mind you my original dealership warrantee or my express warantee did. He refused to give me a service reciept no matter how much I asked because he did not want a record. Insteaed I got the run around for 4 months promising me he would take care of the issue but in the end all I got was we cant help you out. Even his mechanic was shocked by his activity. Just so were clear here I paid almost 8 grand for a car that is broken and hes refused to fix the problem that was clearly covered under the warrantee because he didnt want to loose his investment instead I do..legal battle is underway...this has been the worst consumer affair I have everexperienced and its companys like this that prevent consumer America from being safe and fair. Upon filing with the bbb and attorney general I discovered all the open cases that are unresolved they have with the bbb. 4 at least. They have the worst rating you can have and do not respond to complaints obviously because they have no argument..In response to his reply...My original dealership warrantee was for 90 days I was told and issued but after arguing with tony the facts he decided to tell me it was a 60 thinking it was out of the time period but it was still in it at 60 days so now its 30 days. As far as the part he said there was nothing wrong with I have two service summarys that state otherwise..they are blantently lying here be carefully. You should be carefully how you treat people it will effect you.

Engine had many issues including needing a whole new timing chain, roof was leaking all over the place, rodent damage from engine bay all the way to the spare tire bay in the trunk, headliner had rodent holes under passenger visor, ac system chewed away by rodents, brakes shaking when claimed to be brand new prior to purchase, multiple check engine lights and the car failed inspection in mass. car has left me stranded multiple times they were no help at Karman to fix anything yelled at me hung up on me didn’t answer my calls. I had to get lawyers and they still won’t budge very unprofessional we will let the law decide this case. Buyer beware don’t ever purchase a vehicle here and if you do have it looked at by multiple shops prior to purchase. These were auction cars for a reason

Marvelous MQ: I bought a car on April 8th and was told everything was just changed on the car, new brakes, new oil change and a week after the oil light came on and the brakes are squeaking. I went to Karman on Monday April 25th to tell John about the car. He said he did the oil change and he came into the car with me to check the brakes. He told me come back Wednesday April 27th and we can bring the car to his mechanic to check the brakes out. When I got there today Wednesday he gave me attitude Infront of his customers and even yelled at me becuase I was frustrated about him not wanting to fix the brakes after he said they were brand new! I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND ANOTHER SOUL TO GO THERE. After he sat and said we’re all a bunch of honest retired guys and he did nothing but lie! Save yourself the aggravation!

It runs great, Marc did some repairs to the car before I bought it and he really did everything he could to make sure I was happy with the vehicle. Definitely recommend Vigeants, after I bought the car I was able to still communicate with Marc to make sure the card passed inspection and it did!Was definitely a tad more expensive than I’d like but the car runs great and I have no issues. Considering the market I figured it would be more expensive than I’d like.It was way too expensive for the car and the dealer took advantage of me being a new car buyer.

Emalee McAneney: Absolutely a joke. If you want your typical dump 'em for cash car man Ted is your guy. Sold me an XUV "guaranteed to pass inspection" paid cash, thats what he expects, brought it home, registered it, brought it for an inspection, failed for an entire list of things, including front end, fuel leaks & a cracked frame! Call Ted furious as I sit at the inspection station waiting for a safe vehicle to pick up my children. Get a call the next day with my "options" leave the car with him he can eventually get it fixed, or he can give me my money back, I take the money option, because I dont want something with such a list of hack job fixes. I got a check, he said hes heard the registry will give me my money back. I sit at the registry with my kids on my next day off, 47 minutes before I find out that he needa tk fill out paperwork and then I send it on to the state. Awesome. Call Ted, drive to the shop, theyre open but Teds not there and the guy who os cant do any paperwork. Get a call back from Ted today. Hes upset at me, for being upset, that I have $500 in fees, tied up in a pile of scrap metal he sold me. His hands are tied because he doesnt have the title yet... because I registered the car, I asked if he even looked at it before promising it would pass, "well no but i thought it would" then "legally i have 3 chances to fix it before i have to give you your money back. Do yourself a favor, but yourself a car of one of the other shady dealerships in Lowell, because Ted will promise you he hasnt been "in business for 19 years by jerking people around", and you'll believe the older guy over the guy down the street looking like your avg used car salesman...

Paul Auguste: I could not believe how upset the owner Ted Smith, got when I told him I'd be back, My mechanic was going to check the car out for me. After only 5 min. at my mechanics it was clear to see why. The 2004 Dodge caravan that Ted Smith, was selling has a transmission leak, a power steering leak, and a antifreeze leak. He wasn't at all surprised or ashamed when I brought back his clunker and told him what was wrong with it. I do not trust this man and would not recommend his business. And I will make it a priority to let everyone I come across know to stay away from this Used Car Scamman!

G Mac: Recently bought a 2012 vehicle from CSAS. First, I let them know I was coming and what my budget was. When I arrived, cars I was considering (via info on Auto Trader) had been pulled out and were ready to test drive. There was no pressure to consider something that was just a "little" above my budget (and that was refreshing!). I brought a trade along with some "issues" (to say the least) and CSAS offered me more than twice what any other dealer had up to this point. So...I made the purchase, having not only bought the car but added a 5 year warranty and still came in $1000 under what I planned to spend. Three days after the purchase, one side of the rear tail lights failed to work. Hey, the car's almost 10 years old - so these things are going to happen, right? Anyway, I called the dealership - brought the car up, received a loaner at no cost, and had my car back in 2 days with the work covered under the warranty. Say all this to say, my total experience with this establishment was very positive and I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car. I HATE car shopping...and this experience was far better than what I'd expected pulling in to the lot...

Patricia Grant: I would not recommend this company to anyone trying to rent or purchase a vehicle. I have been falsely accused of not having employment which is why I was denied the purchase of my vehicle. I should’ve known then that they were not a reputable company. I requested a full refund of my deposit on Friday October 28th to Rich, the salesman on the lot, after the allegations and was told that they would handle everything asap on Monday. Now here we are Monday October 31st I am making calls to him with no answers, and only getting text messages stating refunds are only provided on Fridays. Which is ironic since I asked for my refund last Friday!!!

I know very little about insurance/financing etc. I was talking to a woman (Kristina) though text for the past couple days, trying to apply for financing etc and she was as helpful as she could be answering my questions. I explained my concerns about how I was nervous about a high insurance bill and all that. I talked it over with my partner and we came to conclusion that we would be able to make it work and then all of a sudden, I got this email from “Richie” stating I “have my hands full” and to “come back in the spring” (i’m looking for a car NOW. not in the spring). basically saying he doesn’t want to do business with me or work with me to figure these things out or help calm my nerves a bit. Incredibly frustrating and really disheartening as a first time buyer. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because Kristina was really patient with me and all my questions. She was quick to respond to me etc. But I suggest she start working somewhere else, honestly. Don’t put all that into this “business”.I highly suggest, if you’re a first time buyer and have anxiety about buying your first car, DONT go to “Rich”. Kind of stinks because I know quite a few people he knows and I had faith.

rosie Caswell: I drove 4 hours to buy a car from here. When we got there the car didn’t have a key fob but he assured us he would be sending one in the mail within a few weeks. It took months of calling and emailing to get a key fob. I was so exited to get it because it had been such a hassle in the first place. Turns out the key isn’t even for my car. And since then both my family and I have tried to contact him and we have not heard a single word back. No matter how many emails or voicemails we leave, he just ignores them. Not to mention the battery was nearly dead, the alternator was broken and needed to be replaced, and the shocks were bad and also needed to be replaced. So to sum up my experience with Ron has made me question if he should even be running a business. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE.
