B C: It's a great store, a real convenience for the 350 apartments nearby. They try to have one of everything, all the time, stuffed into that tiny store.Okay some rudeness is part of the act. If you can't laugh and enjoy it. At least don't complain. Sure they play with you on the price; They are not exactly rich. Enjoy if you can otherwise, Don't complain.
Sax R: I put three items of food on the counter. The main clerk Paul rang it up, and totaled it to ten dollars more than the actual price. I looked over to the right and saw the price checker was 22.03 when it should have been 13$. He saw me looking and quickly re rang up all the items for the correct price of $13 . I then questioned him and he made an excuse and said it was from a previous customer. The people' here are thieves, don't spend your money here..

Melinda Rosado: Paul (owner) is the only nice thing I can say about the store. Although when a customer is ready for checkout he will answer phone calls, do inventory, make orders, etc. Putting the customer last, if that makes sense. His wife, Rita, is very very rude. Instead of handing you your money or receipt she will throw it on the counter. If you try to greet her she will not respond or even a smile or welcome. She has no manners or customer service etiquette. Rita will over charge for a product where Paul will give you the decent price. Even though everything in the store is overpriced anyways.

Ken Tanguay: This has really been bothering me so here goes....... yesterday, 3/21 I wanted to avoid people so I went to VILLAGE VARIETY STORE which is located at 1301 PAWTUCKET BLVD. in Lowell . They had toilet paper, water and Clorox wipes....a pack of 6 small rolls of toilet paper was $20.00, a case of water that Market Basket sells for $2.50 was also $20.00 and a single container of Clorox wipes was.....yes, $20.00. Price gouging during a crisis is wrong..unfortunately Massachusetts does not have a price gouging law....please SHARE THIS POST & avoid going to this store now... and, after all of this craziness has surpassed......Shame on you Paul !!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Scott G.: Yims Variety Store absolutely never answers their phone. Even though the owner is literally sitting right next to it most of the day. I know convenient stores are more expensive also but their prices on the most popular items are at least 2X the price of a super market. The store is convenient for me but the woman owner could definitely use some charm school lessons on her personality problem but her husband is very kind. PS - As much as I hate to give any business a bad review, the woman owner has the personality of a wolverine since day 1. I've tried to be very nice but she either hates Americans or just men in general. No disrespect intended whatsoever.

Manaal Syed: Cute little discount store with Chinese goods. It’s not a dollar store, varied prices depending on the product. Most labeled items will be discounted at the counter. Sells a variety of products. Good if you’re interested in weird Chinese mis prints. We got Barbie paper plates, Evan peters sheet set, and plastic decorative mangoes.

Danny: Woman who owns the store is unbelievable rude and disrespectful. I’ve been in there while she is receiving a delivery from vendors. I can’t believe how awful she was treating the drivers. I was embarrassed for her. Nothing like degrading someone who’s working hard.
savy leang: I walked in after so many years coming to this liquor store. My friend and I was debating on which Hennessy to get. She asked for a cold Hennessy and asked if the VS is chilled. The guy working the counter said no the had only VSOP. I said ok that's fine. My friend said to the guy that worked there to have some VS chilled it's what people are drinking. And a girl behind the counter that doesnt even look legal enough to be behind the counter comment "there's no space" i responded "well you should make space, we're paying customers" that's an awful remark to make towards a likely new customer. Super awful and for someone most likely not legal enough to be in the store. All in all it was an brief and awful encounter. I would never bring or recommend business here.
