Michelle Carter: Viktor Bondar and his excellent helper did a fantastic job installing new windows for our Portico. They took out 13 small windows, which were 100+ years old that leaked cold air badly and some didn't open at all. They replaced them with beautiful double-pane Pella Windows that are Amazing! The screens are folded into the design and open like an accordion. They make the whole Portico look bigger and so much brighter! Please see photos for before and after. Viktor Bondar and his excellent helper (sorry can't remember his name) were professional, polite, kind, friendly, and helped us to feel very comfortable in our home. Even our kitty liked them and she doesn't like strangers. I highly recommend Pella Windows and Viktor to anyone who would like to improve their home's value and comfort! Tell It Like It Is Review Queen: Critical:QualityI called Pella to tell them water is coming in through slider door. They scheduled me out a month. In the meantime damage is occurring every time it rains. I was told to get a contractor to weatherproof it until they can come out! Shop wisely people!! This door was put in less than 2 years ago.
Andrew Kimball: I used to run a remodeling and construction company, and most of the time when selling window jobs I would suggest Pella products, after having good experience with them through the years, they've always been very nice to work with, they do have some budget friendly lines, while some of the products can run on the upper side of the price range, they're definitely worth it for the overall quality that they uphold, but also warranty service, they fully stand behind their products for many many years after being installed!!We also did installation services for them for about 5 years, and that was always a good experience as well, working with the sales guys and installation management, getting to use different products from all price scales, there really wasn't much of any that I wouldn't recommend to our own customers!Another thing I'd like to mention is a newer member of the Pella team, Dave Wallace, he's a great guy whom I became good friends with over working together at a couple different places that he worked at over the past 15 years if I had to guess... and now he's got an excellent position over on the Pella sales team, and will be taking his awesome sales and service skills to boost the company to new levels! So if you get a chance to work with him I would highly recommend it! He's an all around good guy, always prompt and honest, tells it how it is, does everything he can to ensure his customers have a good experience, and solid quality all around, especially where he's been in the business for a couple decades, selling products as well as doing the work, he certainly knows all the ins and outs of the whole spectrum! Which in my opinion and probably most anyone else would agree, it just makes sense to have someone giving you the truth about the product you're looking into from the knowledgeable aspects of not only what the product itself, but the installation process and correct procedures for everything entailed, along with a strong background of contacts in the trade from all the years working with people!Moral of the story is Pella is a solid product, give them a call when you're ready for some new windows or doors or both, and ask for Dave Wallace when you call!! You won't be disappointed 😎👌

Scheduled appointment for home measurement, day before got call from Gary Minor telling me that he and I had a conversation (never did 🤣) and there was a Scheduling conflict, wouldn't be able to make it😢 during conversation and without stepping foot in my house he quoted me, $2,400 a window and tells me size of the window won't change price per window 🤔🤪, I hang up let wife know, call him back and ask how much if we had are own contractors install, this is when it gets better🤣🤣 he started throwing all kinds of crazy numbers 😀 then TELLS ME, MEASURE YOUR OWN WINDOWS🤣🤣! Sadly 😥 this is what happens when companies don't care about reputation 😕. We needed 14 windows, perhaps our jobs to small, very unpleasant experience ☹. Have a great day 👍!

Sales perspective - Kyle was very easy to work with and very accommodating . I'm guessing we went through at least 3 or 4 iterations before final plan and I appreciate his patience. Scheduling - the job was scheduled for a certain date spanning 3 days and that timeframe was met. Installation team - so great! Vasiliy and Eddie did an awesome job, efficient, attention to detail, prep and daily clean-up. In addition to regular windows, we had two sliding doors put in to replace old french doors. He showed up on the morning of the job to help Slav, Mike, and Mikey set up, and came back at the end of the day to ensure that the job was done to his standards (and it was). Slav, Mike, and Mikey were very efficient and meticulous about their craft. They wanted to make sure everything was perfect, down to the grout on the trim. Dave met with us several times, took time to thoroughly explain various types of windows and options that Pella offers, and revised our quote until we had exactly what we wanted. David was always on time and communicated constantly, even after hours and on weekends when we got down to crunch time. We placed a fairly sizeable order to replace the doors in our house and pre-purchased windows and doors for an addition we will begin in Spring 2021. Christen Brownlee: When I bought my house in 2019, the only notable thing the home inspector identified was that the windows were in poor shape--all of them--so they'd all need to be replaced. My neighbor, a builder, recommended a window supplier, and the supplier recommended BuildEx for the install. Working with BuildEx was a breeze. The crew answered all my questions, delivered the windows themselves when the supplier couldn't, did a quality and efficient install, and threw in repainting a problem vent on my attic for free. They even indulged my chatty children trying to engage them in conversation all day long. All their protocols were COVID- and lead-safe (a concern in my century-old home), and they were meticulous about cleaning up. All that's left are my shiny new windows, no trash or dust. Meaghan Bahre: Working with Mike and his team was a breeze from start to finish. Mike was extremely responsive from the first time we reached out and was able to schedule with us quickly to look at the job we had and give us a quote. Mike was able to match and order exactly what we wanted/needed to go along with previously done windows. Once windows were ordered, he gave us a timeframe in which the widows would be ready and kept us up to date with progress along the way. When the windows were ready, he was able to give us multiple options to schedule for installation and worked around our schedule. The morning of installation, his contractors were early and ready to go. They were quick, efficient and respectful of our home, cleaning up along the way. Andrew Kimball: Customer service was a little slow when I was in to pick up an order, but they definitely were doing their best given the apparent short staffing situation that they're dealing with! Which is unfortunately quite abundant these days in many service industries...But overall a decent store, although I don't frequent this particular location much, they usually have had what I've needed.
Mark Whelden: Going downhill. Can hardly walk with stuff parked in the aisles! Looks like it would be a disaster if a fire broke out. Staff is unavailable or untrained. Used to be the best. Website says stuff is in stock, drive 15 miles. Not in stock. The website works OK but regular items are hard to find, even with the app. Especially small items in bins, plumbing, fasteners etc. Mostly because customers out stuff back in the wrong place because they don't know what it is in the first place. Some cashier's avoid contact when no-one else is in line. I understand the staffing shortages, and usually am polite and lenient. Now I just stick to polite and write a review. Now, I'm entirely PO'd that that new 18" Husky battery chainsaw is impossible to find the cost of a spare battery in the website & the store. Everyone that ever used a battery tool knows you need a spare in a charger for when the tool one goes dead. That's how work gets done. Not everybody is a amateur! Been a Husky, Stihl guy for over 40years. Got a little Kobalt to try. But just for branches. Oh well. Ryobi here I come. That isn't on the local store either. That issue is deceptive corporate policy. You won't even show your plastic outdoor chairs on the website so we can tell if it's Adirondack or flat. Another 30 mile round trip waste of time. Even Rocky's can put a picture on their site.
Paul Dermond: This place is horrific. The mouse smell is eye watering. I don’t know how this place has not been sued or shut down. The management here is abysmal and the employees are constantly stressed dealing with the broken systems at Lowe’s that appear to be dated by several decades. Shopping here is never as efficient as it should be or convenient. There is a reason everyone calls Lowe’s “the Walmart of home improvement stores.” Walmart does things even better than Lowes, so that’s not really an insult anymore.
Lisa & Robert: Terrible!!! The salesman Mark was great and very knowledgeable. When it came to the delivery and installation,that was a nightmare. It started with the fact that the wrong prong plug for the dryer was ordered. When we realized this 2 days before delivery, we called customer service to take care of the problem and switch the plug for us. They kept transferring us back and forth between the Appliance department and customer service because nobody knew how to do their job. We got hung up on, called back and was told they would have extras on the truck and the delivery installation guys would take care of it. Delivery day comes, ask the guy if they have extra cords they said no, said call the store and another truck would come with the right cord and install it. These guys didn’t install anything and left both units in the middle of the basement floor! We called the store they said they couldn’t do anything today, they can send someone tomorrow. We have jobs and have to go to work that’s why we scheduled the delivery install on the weekend. They were rude, and unwilling to correct anything. I am highly annoyed and disappointed in the Springfield, MA Lowe’s. There are good helpful people there, but the ones who don’t care about their job or helping people totally takes away the good employees efforts. This was a real horrible experience.

Anon Mouse: Customer service is unbelievably bad. Miserable older blonde woman had the nerve to comment that they were short staffed and that "nobody wants to work." Really? Do you even read the news? We have record low unemployment, so please just stop it, Karen. She said this to my face as 4 employees behind the customer service desk were literally doing NOTHING but talking to each other and the store was EMPTY. If nobody wants to work, it applies to your coworkers/ employees. People are working- but obviously not there (just collecting a paycheck). It was pulling teeth to just get a staff member to unlock the drills, which we couldn't buy because they were display. She then searched for the 2 drills on a high shelf via the ladder... One. At. A. Time. She literally went down to tell me they didnt have the first one then back up the ladder to search the same area for the second drill. She was having trouble remembering. Um, ever heard of pen and paper??? Or even the most basic-level principles of efficiency ??? 45 minutes after we got there (we came to buy just the 2 drills and we knew what we wanted right off) as we are being rung up, I asked the cashier a question (I hadn't previously addressed her) and she refused to even answer. Rude and must be poorly brought up. Another "worker" was literally just leaning on the counter with her elbow on it and her head resting in her other hand, doing NOTHING, just watching the cashier and me and nothing else...not moving even an inch even once in the entire 10 minutes we were being rung up. Talk about being disgracefully LAZY. I was so close to asking her, "Don't you have any work to do????" Listen, I had s#!t jobs too, where I was 10 hours on my feet but never once did I ever think this bad attitude and horrible way of treating customers was ok. If I acted like you, I would have lost my job. You are lucky to be collecting a paycheck at all. It's obvious that the management does not care.
Earnest Ford: Went to home Depot to return some unused products from a remodeling job they gave us such a hard time saying that the policy had changed the hundreds of thousands of dollars that was spent to remodel the wood cement bags even having the credit card from multiple purchase they still gave him a hard time in the only reason I can figure is that he was black.

eb bush: I was renting a vehicle and they disabled the truck so been calling talking to managers for days with nothing being done so I called my triple a to get it towed back to the store when triple a got there they did a walk around the truck and then told me they couldn’t touch the vehicle because it’s not registered and they showed me it expired in 2022 so I called the store manager and he told me he would get back to me never did so I called corporate today and they said they would reach out to store manager and have them call me that never took place then I just got a call for me to take care of the balance so they are renting out trucks that are not legal to drive and putting customers at risk if you look at sticker on license plate clearly it says 2022

Mark Haley: The whole situation felt very predatory. We were pressured to set up an appointment at a time that was not convenient for us. The 90 minute appointment ended up taking THREE HOURS of my life that I will not get back. The salesman, John, started out very personably, but we soon realized that he was not actually giving us a quote - he was setting up an order. We weren't even able to get a copy of the quote at the end of the meeting - apparently it would be "giving away trade secrets" to let us keep a copy of what they would be charging us. We repeatedly said that no matter what, we were not interested in signing anything that day. John continued to push us to sign that day. He also used a lot of the same tactics you see in used car salesmen ("Do you want me to call my boss for a better deal?", etc (this even ended up being another tactic to get you to buy. He was saying that he could try to persuade his boss to give us a discount for letting them use before/after photos of our house for marketing. WHY is that only a "let me pull out all the stops" tactic? Just provide people with the ACTUAL price)). When we didn't give the company four stars at the consultation (How on earth can you be expected to rate a company that you haven't worked with?) he got visibly 'upset' and continued to pester us to rate them a 4/4. By the end, we were asking him to leave, and he was dragging his feet. The entire thing reeked of a staged sales pitch and several gimmicks over and over to pressure us into signing without allowing us time to think. If they can magically deduct almost $8,000 if we sign right then, then they can ALWAYS afford to have the price lowered. I can't speak to their work or product, because they seemed wildly overpriced and we will not be going with them, but the pushy and predatory sales pitch was enough to turn us off and know that they were not the kind of company we would want to give our money to.

Nick Ryder: In June 2019, Vista Home Improvement nearly destroyed my house. Then they mostly made it right again. Here is what happened:May 2019, they set up a sales meeting at my house. Standard stuff – measurements, guy shows me his sales pitch, stuff about the warranty, and quotes me around 11K for my roof. But hey! If I order today I can get 5% off or something like that. I say I would never do that without doing some research, so the salesman fills me in on the rules and/or laws that say I can cancel the order within 72 hours for a 100% refund. So, I need my roof done, and I place the order.I am careful, so I still do some research and Vista actually has pretty good reviews. So I stick with the purchase and it gets scheduled.Come the date for the install, a crew comes, strips my roof, and places down some Snow/Ice shield on the edges of the roof while they put their standard underlayment on the upper section. Now, this underlayment was sold as “Warrantied without shingles for up to a year!” during the sales pitch. No clue what that really means but okay.So I get home that evening and the roof is unfinished, but the shingles are staged for the next day. All good.Come 10pm, I hear it starting to rain. “Well that’s interesting – I have no roof.” I think to myself. “But of course, this underlayment will hold for one night, right?” Either way, something tells me to just stick my head into the attic and see what’s up. My first thought is “Sounds like being in a tent in the rain”.Then my second is “Why did water just hit my head?”Long dramatic night shortened a bit, it rained on and off all night and water seeped through the exposed underlayment across the entire length of the house, running and dripping into the attic in 30-50 locations. I spent the entire night from 10pm until 6am emptying containers as best I could in as many locations as possible, laying towels, moving insulation to catch more water, even bringing 2 tarps up to my attic to contain damage.Still, a bunch of water made it down to my ceiling, staining it significantly, but by the grace of my night of labor, did not go any further into my second floor, and so no belongings were damaged from there.Vista, at 6am finally returning my frantic calls from overnight, send their contact out to my house to assess what had occurred. He was extremely apologetic, promised they would replace my towels, and any damage that had occurred. And scheduled a crew to head over.By the end of the day, they had bagged all my attic insulation and installed fans and dehumidifiers to the attic. A few days later they came back, painted my ceilings, and re-blew fresh insulation into my attic. They also took $1000 off the total of the roof, and left me a $100 gift card to replace the towels I lost. Save for a few spots where my ceiling stains still show through, several months later that all seems to be holding up fine.They never did tell me what went wrong. They blamed “The product” for failing, saying the underlayment should have been water proof for the duration of the night. I’m still not sure if that’s accurateSo in the end I traded a night of anxiety and labor for some refreshed attic insulation. I was satisfied with Vista’s immediate acceptance of fault and quick actions to resolve. I do hope they stand behind their roof warranty for any further issues. I don’t like to consider how much worse this could have gone had I not been home, or not been able bodied.
