michael parks: Do not do business with this company. 6 months ago I ordered a kitchen table and chairs from them with an expected delivery date of January or February. I received a call in March to say that the table was delayed, but no other update. At the end of March I was told that the table was at the finish shop but they had no idea where the chairs were. I received the same information yesterday. Not only do they seem completely incapable of delivering what they sell, they seem entirely unconcerned about it.

I messaged the store on Facebook and they answered right back and offered to come back to the store because we had made the trip. Talk about customer service!Our entire experience was a 10. Jane Robitaille: We had a major kitchen remodel, had new oak cabinets, and were looking for an oak dining room set. After trying different local furniture stores and finding nothing, a friend mentioned Oak Specialists. The display room is amazing! There were so many beautiful pieces it was hard to make a selection. We finally settled on a table style in one display and chair style in another display.This family was incredible to work with. When we got home we realized the table we ordered would be too big for our room. An immediate call was made to go a size smaller. We were asked to return with a kitchen cabinet door so the stain could be matched as closely as possible. We were told up front that the set would be made by the Amish and would take several months with no guarantee on a specific date. An estimate was given. When the set arrived months later, we were not ready for delivery due to some problems on our end. The family could not have been more helpful and gracious in working with us, holding the furniture until the room was ready.The set was delivered yesterday and it is gorgeous!!! It is high quality, beautifully made, perfect match stain-wise, and a real showpiece. I cannot recommend this company more highly... great on every level. Thank you Oak Specialists!!!!
Jennifer McNally: My parents were extremely disappointed with their experience. They special ordered a coffee table and it took 10 months for it to get to them. Then when they received the table it was the wrong size, it tips over very easily and didn't have the drawer. The only way they fixed the problem was to give them free polish and cleaner. They will not be returning to this store.

Ashley Wilson: Firstly, let me say the furniture that I had custom ordered and my family had custom ordered is absolutely beautiful!! BUT, the estimated time frame they gave us was way completely off and delivery was a hassle. They estimated that our furniture would be ready 4 months ago - and it was just delivered today. They never called me about delivery and I had to call them several times to schedule the delivery. The delivery ended up being free because of the issues we were having (late time frame and trouble scheduling delivery). We paid quite a bit for custom furniture, I was not anticipating any issues. Great furniture though! But do not expect it to be ready when they tell you it will be.

Beautiful set and great quality. The whole process was just perfect from Orlando who helped us make the purchase to the quick and efficient delivery. We ordered it on Sunday and had it in our home early that Friday. Can't wait to pick out our dining room set.

We were pleasantly surprised to see the couch set we were looking for at Dream Decor at an even more competitive price than another 'big box' competitor store in town. We are very happy that we went with Dream Decor because not only was the pricing there more competitive, but the customer service was excellent. What blew me away was that, while we were anticipating a 2-4 week wait on the special order, it arrived in the warehouse less than 48 hours after we ordered it! Just in time to enjoy our new furniture for the holidays :-)Leah

I have a damaged table and she hasn’t returned my calls, hangs up in my face, tried to have my pay for an additional service on furniture they sold damaged, and even took the phone from her employee when I was on the phone discussing my issues. I was speaking with T, we were having a good conversation and when I asked for the name of the gentleman I spoke with that represents their store and that’s when VANESSA took the phone and said I can speak with her, I asked nicely to talk with T again because I was JUST asking her a question and she REFUSED and claimed that T was with a customer when she literally was on the phone with me 3 SECONDS ago. I was T’s customer and Vanessa took the phone and just told me the warehouse would call me and wouldn’t let me speak to T again.Vanessa needs to clearly work on her customer service skills and dealing with angry customers.I bought damaged furniture here before and the old manager SANDRA MADE THINGS RIGHT AND I LEFT HAPPY, returning to buy more furniture. This will not be the case. I have furnished most of my home with furniture from here and planned on buying more until speaking with Vanessa. ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! I can’t express it enough.

I have picked out an entire livingroom set, a sectional, the Blue Darcy LFC, the Blue Darcy Chair and Blue Darcy Ottoman. I also found a BEAUTIFUL lift top two tone white living room table, with two different sized end tables for the right side of the Darcy sectional and the side of the Darcy Chair. We tried under my husband originally to do this via the internet and we tried calling, it wants us to enter an extension - like Google Voice. We tried to "Text Chat" to always be told that "We are not open now someone will get back to you shortly" We will NOT drive from Torrington CT that far and risk it being out of stock since we have little kids - not to mention Covid the world is a mess. Plus, there is an easy solution - we can CALL FIRST - PLUS we want delivery. We will PAY for the delivery we do not want it free, Nay Nay friends, let me repeat that last bit for the people in the back.... we are willing to pay for delivery - we just want to ask a few simple questions like "is this in stock? Oh it is OK great! Can we come down to pay? Great! I'd like to spend 1400 now and purchase A, B, C, & D - i see there's a Lay away option... Can I put 75% down for this, then pay the rest in 3 weeks and set up a 2nd delivery date for this?" Is this a trick company? Are the reviews fake? Is there no furniture? No employees? What is happening? 😭 They may have a wonderful staff, management that is envied by all... They may have a 100% satisfaction rating for all COMPLETED furniture purchases, but after 30 days of trying to contact them - I am at my wits end... Oh I mentioned that we tried to do this under my husband? For giggles, I created a new account under me, same furniture, different name, and number AND I even tried to do the leasing option - which I was approved for - guess what??? Same road block... i just want to buy some furniture I'll be your best friend... is it because I am ugly? I can not fix my genetic make up - but I am a nice person... C S: My wife and I were out and not even intending to go to R&F but we were passing it so we stopped in. The initial customer service was great. My wife and I told the representative roughly what we were looking for, honestly we weren't sure, and he took us to a few items that were nice and after 20 minutes we found the perfect livingrom set. We were told "... and we have it in stock" so we got a total cost and told him that the wife and I 'sleep on it' to be sure we wanted to spend that much. When we called called back to purchase it (our sales rep was off and talked to a someone else) and pick it up, we were told that "we don't stock anything here" with an attitude like we should have known better. The conversation with her was full of attitude and a sence of 'I have better things to do than talk to you'. If our first impression wasn't so good we would have gone elsewhere so I called back when Jason was working. We talked for a few minutes and when we went to order it we were given a price $170 more expensive. He quickly back peddled when I told him that was not the price we discussed. When he came back down to the initial price we ordered it.Were not shopping experts but here's what we think...Pros-*HUGE showroom! LOTS and LOTS to choose from!*Super clean store*Furnature seems well made (time will tell)Cons-*No inventory on site. If you want it quick then you have to wait upwards of 5-6 days even for pick up. Needs to be a customer option for wharehouse pick up.*Off putting attitude from sales rep (hopefully isolated incident).*Given different quote than first discussed.Overall it wasn't a horriable experience and we are happy with our purchase but I would caution buyers. Do your homework on what you're looking for and where you are buying it from.
