Ever since covid these rental car places want to deny one way trips when that's what the customers obviously needs

Jonathan Servello: Booked and paid in advance for my full reservation. Was told that I couldn’t have the car because it wasn’t made 24 hours in advance, the manager told me to walk to Enterprise and book through them. Was able to book no problem. Hertz is a joke and I will NEVER use them again lol. If you are reading this review because you are even 1% unsure of using Hertz, DO NOT USE THEM. “Walk” or drive half a mile up the street to Enterprise and have them take care of you.

Yelissa Santiago: They hiked the price up when I went to check out, pricing was not accurate, given a different price over the phone. Rep who assisted us kicked us out we ran into issues with the card used and the guy said he was closing in 5 min. And told us he closed began shutting the lights off and had us leave. I wasn’t able to get the rental I needed, there was no solution given. I will never use Hertz again by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with renting cars!

Edward Rosner: Make sure you get a physical receipt. They will charge you extra and say it was returned later than the drop off time unless you get a physical receipt at the time of drop off. Customer support states nothing can be done to mitigate shady business practices.
Jordan Girouard: Drove an hr to get my renal that I reserved a week in advance and got there the morning of and some ghetto lady with a red snake tattoo said there was no power and couldn’t rent cars and then I sat there and waited for an hr an watched her tell customers they only could rent a truck and when one said yes she said she couldn’t rent it and got mad at customers for searching and asking her for a solution.

Felicia Miller: Custom service was great but they overcharge like crazy. Your online amount will be double once you actually get to the location. Also be prepared to pay a $200 deposit I was not aware of this at the time of my reservation. I had to leave, go to my bank add more money to my card and go all the way back to the location. Also they charge for insurance even if you have it on your credit card.

Emily Aponte: Having a family emergency, and dealing with them today was just unnecessary, added stress we did not need. The pricing was not to what was confirmed online, and there was added invasive questioning . I get that there are conversational questions to elevate customer service but questions like "Do you really need this vehicle?" "Why do you need it?" "How many people do you plan to have in this vehicle?" Aren't the questions that needed to be grilled when renting. Usually the experience with Enterprise is a pleasant one and we have enjoyed renting in the past but today sucked. Today we needed to rent and be on our way for a time sensitive family matter and it wasn't great. Renting should have been the easiest thing to do out of our whole trip and it was far from it.

Yunise Truex: I had a great experience when picking up my rental after dropping my Jeep off at the repair shop. The staff was really kind and super helpful. The SUV I was given looked brand new. It was super clean and in pristine condition. I drove it for about 8 days and had no problems whatsoever.Once I had my car back the process of returning the rental was very quick. I am very satisfied with the service at this location. I would recommend it to anyone.

Matt E: Avoid this dealer/rental company/auto repair shop at all costs. Stan is the owner and goes by Compass Auto Sales, Compass Rentals, or Best Price Auto Repair. My story - I bought Highlander on FB marketplace that was sold from Compass Auto. The man’s name was Stan. First weird sign was that he was using his wife’s FB account. Anyway, I ended up buying a 2006 Toyota Highlander from him/them. Test drove it around the neighborhood and it seemed fine. Stan assured me the car was in tip top shape. Driving on the highway after purchasing it was shaking and making a loud noise from the rear. The next day I took the wheel off to find that there was literally no emergency brake assembly and the cables had been cut. Stan took the car to “his uncles” shop and had it for 2 weeks. Constantly delaying the process of fixing it. Finally I got the car back and Stan told me it was good as new. A week later the rear end began to sway when going over 50 mph. Come to find out there was a whole slew of issues. The control arms Stan installed were the wrong ones. Due to them being wrong there was “play” in the axle. The “play” in the axle put stress on the frame and the frame began to tear away from the rear end linkage. On top of all this Stan and his “uncles garage” had just sprayed a bunch of rubberized undercoating over the issue in attempt to hide it. I’ve bought a lot of private party vehicles in my life and the one I bought from Stan at Compass was by far the worst and most shady experience I have had. Please stay away. I could have easily died due to his neglect and malfeasance.

Uh Oh: Terrible location. The manager is rude, the cars are all dirty, dusty, not maintained. The one I had the wipers didn't touch the windshield, they was no windshield fluid, could not see during the last storm we had, the brakes didn't work-went straight to the floor whole sliding, the oil was GONE .... The tires were low everyday(Jen said it was because it was cold- imagine trusting a person who believes that with the lives of your family. It was terrible. They made me stop driving it 3 days into my week and didn't give me $1 off. It went from $40 a day to $75. The manager did not care. Go anywhere else. Couldn't get the video of me holding down the wipers trying to save my life.Horrible.

We drove an hour to get there to rent a Tesla, they didn’t tell us on the phone you needed a credit card to rent it (meanwhile NO OTHER CAR THERE REQUIRES ONE AND WE CALLED SPECIFICALLY FOR A TESLA) so we get all the way down there and can’t find the place at first because we thought we were driving into an urgent care parking lot. So needless to say we didn’t rent anything because I didn’t have my credit card on me and it wasn’t my rental. We went to enterprise and got a better car instead. BUUUUT that’s not all! THESE GUYS (hertz) charged us a week later for “promising to rent” when it’s not like we weren’t there to pick the car up…they have horrible customer service and don’t inform you of anything on the phone before you show up. And they don’t have a number they answer for disputes.
Christeen Chapdelaine: Absolutely awful customer service! Had an appointment with them to have a car ready for pickup and it wasn’t ready. Had to wait 40 minutes to get the car. Car was dirty and dusty! The interior of the car smells like smoke! The oil change light on! Didn’t go over anything about the car. With Covid today you would think they would clean the car! The office area was beyond disgusting and dirty! Never use Hertz better off with another car rental company.

Rachel Commane: Absolutely horrible. I was in a car accident 2 days ago and my ins setup my rental car and it was suppose to be dropped off as I have a concussion. They said they were unable to drop the car off and it needed to be picked up on Monday at 930am. I told them I can't pick it up as I have no one to bring me and it was suppose to be dropped off, BRIAN told me " well then you need to take an Uber here." Are you paying for it Brian?! The audacity! Both employees that were working had no personalities what so ever. Did not show me what car I was driving just gave me the key and said it's the white car right out front, there was no walk around to inspect the car, there was nothing. I don't even fit comfortably in the car. I had to go back in and ask them so show me how to adjust the seat so my knees weren't up against the dash. Horrible horrible horrible, I want the name and number of a manager or someone who can rectify this situation. I need more room and I need room for my son!
Kayla Goble: This place was so rude to me and my husband they didn't help us at all. We didn't get a car and they didn't want to give us our money back for their mistakes. We had to call corporate ourselves and get our money back. Highly do not recommend this place to anyone they have no idea what they are doing!
Fujita 5: Made a reservation online with no problem. I called the day before just to confirm the reservation and was put on hold by Tyler. 14 minutes later, I hung up and called back. He finally confirmed my reservation for 9am. I arrived the next day at approximately 9:30 only to be told that the car wasn't ready and needed 25 minutes to be cleaned. While waiting, I asked Tyler what should I do if I have a breakdown or mechanical problems. He said,"that won't happen." I asked what to do If I get a flat tire and he said," don't hit anything and that won't happen. " Very unprofessional.
Andrew Clough: Employees were not attentive and seemed to be dealing with personal matters at the location. Rental car was completely dirty inside and out, and had a weird smell inside. Almost no gas. Was actually sent here because the location on Boston Rd in Springfield was no longer renting to Hertz customers (even with a reservation) - they failed to called me about the change, and no compensation was provided to get to W. Springfield. Ended with an obscure $12 fee on my credit card.

MICHELE PIQUETTE: very long wait.... took my own pics of vehicle as it had some scrapes and wheel was scraped .....guy gave me keys and explained nothing about buttons in car....took me 15 minutes to find button to adjust seat......I would never recommend place I was stuck and the guy who hit my car this is company they have ......
