C T: Just moved to MA and I can't express how much I love this place❤️. The hot food bar service is wonderful and all of the older women (bà) and men (ông) are incredibly FRIENDLY!!!! They often made jokes and striven to make the customers' day. It's like shopping in a grandma and grandpa's shop. I can't be any more happier.That aside, the foods! The foods are super authentic Vietnamese's cuisine. From the ingredients, sauce, herbs, to the broths. I can't believe I found such a hidden treasure in Springfield. The 3 broth dishes - beef noodle (phở bò), fermented anchovy noodle (Bún mắm), and spicy beef noodle (Bún bò Huế) are cooked by a very sweet grannny.I had eaten from many places and believe me that most the broths are diluted, unflavored with minimal spices and aroma. This place does not held back, they will simmer stocks and bones for a long amount of hours and it shows in the broth. Hard work and sincere customer services? Yes please!! Sign me up.They also have a nice amount of Korean, Chinese, Japanese dry and frozen goods. This is not a massive super Walmart so stocks are limited, but I saw that they do a great job restocking every weekend. I like to support small family store and this place is my go to!!

My favorites had to include lychee, longan, rambutan, milkfruit, inotea canned boba, ramune, boba kits(includes; tea, milk powder, boba, and brown sugar), New Zealand gooseberries, big cuts of taro, huge king oyster mushrooms, and much more. They even offer boba drinks made in-house and taro sticky rice and coconut deserts.I do believe they offer hot foods made in house but I wasn’t able to get anything hot this time.

Jose Lopez: I went to there location on main st springfield mass to there bakery section, there price on bread is extremely high you make two different lines one if your going to buy bread the other one if your going to buy sandwich or anything else they have a big problem there with the way they have there credit card machine set up, so if your waiting on the line for the bread and if someone has to pay with a card or ebt card now you have to move out off the line so that they can pay for there stuff, and this happens all the time why don't they move that machine closer to the register so they can do that you mean to tell me they can't move that machine in another spot so it doesn't have to be in the way of the people waiting in line for the bread this is unacceptable

Beverly Simonet: I feel very fortunate to have found this gluten free bakery. I found Karen to be an exceptional person to have worked with. I’d ordered the 7”Chocolate cake with raspberry sauce for my daughters birthday. No review can say how unbelievable this cake was. It was so moist and the flavor was incredible. I bet anyone to have one of the bakeries products and even know that it’s Gluten free.
Darrell Johnson: My wife and daughter have to eat gluten free, so I am always on the lookout for places that cater to GF. I came across the Gluten Thief Bakery and decided to give it a shot. I ordered a 7" Carrot Cake, which often times is a mixed bag. After speaking with Karen and discussing specifications she made what was quite possibly the best Carrot Cake (GF/ Non-GF) I have ever had. The cake was perfect. It was moist and flavorful; the Cream cheese frosting was fresh, and the design was perfect. Will be ordering again and often. This business highlights the importance of supporting small business!

(One of our guest has serious health issues related to gluten.)We searched online and came across Gluten Thief. It was double chocolate and delicious. I had two slices! I was so floored by the flavor. I don't even eat gluten free and I would get it again just for myself.If you're gluten free though...this is a no brainer. There is nothing better out there. Zachary Neuschaefer: 5/5 this is a must in Springfield. Pastries were better than any I have had in Boston, New York, and even Paris. Our mistake was not getting here as soon as they open. You can not go wrong with any item here.My parents and I stopped into the shop close to closing time and were greeted by friendly and kind staff. We had come in to Springfield after traveling from Boston and New York.We had a couple cups of their pour over coffee to go. These were excellent and needed after a morning of walking through the Springfield museums. The employee that made the coffees put a lot of effort and care into the coffees, and it was much appreciated.We weren’t sure which pastries would be available because it was close to closing time, but on their website they say “just trust us: whatever we have, it's gonna be good.” This statement was 100% true.We had several baked goods that we all shared and enjoyed immensely: meltaway, croissant, raspberry pinwheel, and chocolate chip cookie. All of these items were EXCEPTIONAL. Croissant was made with such excellent lamination technique. Just so well made and tasted amazing. I hope the baker sees this review because it really was an excellent croissant.The meltaway will be on my mind for a long time. This pastry has this combination of cardamom and orange zest with the sweet cheese filling. It is divine. I added cardamom to my grocery list because of this pastry.Raspberry pinwheel had a lovely raspberry jam that complements a spring day so well. Flaky pastry. Excellent.I am saving the chocolate chip cookie for my next day at work knowing it will be the perfect sweet treat to get me through the work day.

Phoebe Lumley: Incredible baked goods in a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere! The fresh beignets are amazing, but truly you can’t go wrong with any of the options available. They serve delicious Monsoon coffee, also a local business, and the couches are a great place to hang out and enjoy the pasties and the atmosphere. There is easy on-street parking which is free on the weekends! Get there early to make sure you get first pick of the pastries as they go quickly.
Colette Lessard: I'll never be able to say enough amazing things about Granny's. Between the food, owners, employees and atmosphere its one of the best additions to downtown Springfield. The egg blossoms are fluffy and flavorful, the sandwiches are made with great ingredients and always made perfectly, the bread pudding is delectable. I haven't had bread pudding that good since my grandmother! And can't forget about the beignets!! Omg. Hands down the best in the area!!!

If I lived any closer, I'd be back every weekend. Staff was friendly and attentive, and prices were super reasonable.
Pat Alderson: Treat yourself! I have had a lot of French pastry. This is the real deal. And they do pour over coffee by default which means a fresh cup anytime. I had a fig and goat cheese croissant and a raspberry financier....you wouldnt be ablt to this quality anywhere else in Western MA in my estimation. Friendly staff and easy parking on street. Awesome place!

BA III: Don't blink or you will miss this gem in the heart of downtown Springfield, MA. This place has tasty little treats in a quaint atmosphere. I tried a few of their goods and they are well worth the journey. The croissants, the macaroons, the financier cake and yes of course the beignets. Wow is all I can say about the beignets. The are prepared a la minute and worth the wait. They come out warm, soft and flakey and yes dusted with your choice of powered sugar and cinnamon/sugar. Bag it up and enjoy !! All of the items I tried were full of flavor and prepared with love. Don't take my word for it try them yourself..
