Tad Duncan: Came home from work on a 20° evening to find my house ice cold and furnace not working. Called for emergency dispatch and spoke with Tim. After gathering some info he said, "I'll see you shortly." 10 minutes later dude shows up with his Home Depot bucket and went right to work. 20 minutes after that our system was working perfectly. Tim was very kind, personable, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. He even offered advice on our old water heater. We decided to pay in full for a 2 year service agreement which gets you a lot of perks and is very affordable. Regular maintenance, priority dispatch, reduced cost parts and whatnot. A very good deal for these older New England homes. I was a little embarrassed about the cleanliness of our kitchen, but a true professional Tim was, he said not a word 🤪 10/10 would recommend calling Berkshire Heating & Air. Ryan Hall: I had scheduled a furnace maintenance and took time off work and they canceled the first time due to an employee quitting. They rescheduled for almost 6 weeks later. On the day of the second appointment I got a call to cancel again due to many customers being without heat, which is totally understandable, but then they wanted to schedule the next appointment for another month away. I have taken off work twice and have questions about our furnace and eventually didn't even take the next appointment. The person on the phone was very smug and kept stating that the people with no heat are priority and I agreed every single time, my problem is that they couldn't get me in for another month and she acted like she was doing me a favor. I originally called in October and we are now in the end of January. I will find someone else

Lawrence Goodman: Jason recently serviced my two air-conditioning units. Not only did he do a thorough inspection, but he discovered that they air did not seem to be circulating properly and discovered that the registers were not installed properly which was blocking the vents and returns. He took the time to check everyone throughout the entire house and corrected the problem. He also noticed that a gutter extension near the condensers was bent and water was pooling within it, which he emptied out. Kudos to Jason for being so thorough and conscientious!Larry G

Which is unfortunately quite abundant these days in many service industries...But overall a decent store, although I don't frequent this particular location much, they usually have had what I've needed.
Mark Whelden: Going downhill. Can hardly walk with stuff parked in the aisles! Looks like it would be a disaster if a fire broke out. Staff is unavailable or untrained. Used to be the best. Website says stuff is in stock, drive 15 miles. Not in stock. The website works OK but regular items are hard to find, even with the app. Especially small items in bins, plumbing, fasteners etc. Mostly because customers out stuff back in the wrong place because they don't know what it is in the first place. Some cashier's avoid contact when no-one else is in line. I understand the staffing shortages, and usually am polite and lenient. Now I just stick to polite and write a review. Now, I'm entirely PO'd that that new 18" Husky battery chainsaw is impossible to find the cost of a spare battery in the website & the store. Everyone that ever used a battery tool knows you need a spare in a charger for when the tool one goes dead. That's how work gets done. Not everybody is a amateur! Been a Husky, Stihl guy for over 40years. Got a little Kobalt to try. But just for branches. Oh well. Ryobi here I come. That isn't on the local store either. That issue is deceptive corporate policy. You won't even show your plastic outdoor chairs on the website so we can tell if it's Adirondack or flat. Another 30 mile round trip waste of time. Even Rocky's can put a picture on their site.
Paul Dermond: This place is horrific. The mouse smell is eye watering. I don’t know how this place has not been sued or shut down. The management here is abysmal and the employees are constantly stressed dealing with the broken systems at Lowe’s that appear to be dated by several decades. Shopping here is never as efficient as it should be or convenient. There is a reason everyone calls Lowe’s “the Walmart of home improvement stores.” Walmart does things even better than Lowes, so that’s not really an insult anymore.
Lisa & Robert: Terrible!!! The salesman Mark was great and very knowledgeable. When it came to the delivery and installation,that was a nightmare. It started with the fact that the wrong prong plug for the dryer was ordered. When we realized this 2 days before delivery, we called customer service to take care of the problem and switch the plug for us. They kept transferring us back and forth between the Appliance department and customer service because nobody knew how to do their job. We got hung up on, called back and was told they would have extras on the truck and the delivery installation guys would take care of it. Delivery day comes, ask the guy if they have extra cords they said no, said call the store and another truck would come with the right cord and install it. These guys didn’t install anything and left both units in the middle of the basement floor! We called the store they said they couldn’t do anything today, they can send someone tomorrow. We have jobs and have to go to work that’s why we scheduled the delivery install on the weekend. They were rude, and unwilling to correct anything. I am highly annoyed and disappointed in the Springfield, MA Lowe’s. There are good helpful people there, but the ones who don’t care about their job or helping people totally takes away the good employees efforts. This was a real horrible experience.

I also don't like not having at least one register with real person working. The self check out, every person in front needed the attendants help with her key. I’m going to be honest, I was extremely frustrated and she was nice enough to make sure my issues got resolved BEFORE I left the store. Home Depot, this one’s a keeper! :)

Anon Mouse: Customer service is unbelievably bad. Miserable older blonde woman had the nerve to comment that they were short staffed and that "nobody wants to work." Really? Do you even read the news? We have record low unemployment, so please just stop it, Karen. She said this to my face as 4 employees behind the customer service desk were literally doing NOTHING but talking to each other and the store was EMPTY. If nobody wants to work, it applies to your coworkers/ employees. People are working- but obviously not there (just collecting a paycheck). It was pulling teeth to just get a staff member to unlock the drills, which we couldn't buy because they were display. She then searched for the 2 drills on a high shelf via the ladder... One. At. A. Time. She literally went down to tell me they didnt have the first one then back up the ladder to search the same area for the second drill. She was having trouble remembering. Um, ever heard of pen and paper??? Or even the most basic-level principles of efficiency ??? 45 minutes after we got there (we came to buy just the 2 drills and we knew what we wanted right off) as we are being rung up, I asked the cashier a question (I hadn't previously addressed her) and she refused to even answer. Rude and must be poorly brought up. Another "worker" was literally just leaning on the counter with her elbow on it and her head resting in her other hand, doing NOTHING, just watching the cashier and me and nothing else...not moving even an inch even once in the entire 10 minutes we were being rung up. Talk about being disgracefully LAZY. I was so close to asking her, "Don't you have any work to do????" Listen, I had s#!t jobs too, where I was 10 hours on my feet but never once did I ever think this bad attitude and horrible way of treating customers was ok. If I acted like you, I would have lost my job. You are lucky to be collecting a paycheck at all. It's obvious that the management does not care.

eb bush: I was renting a vehicle and they disabled the truck so been calling talking to managers for days with nothing being done so I called my triple a to get it towed back to the store when triple a got there they did a walk around the truck and then told me they couldn’t touch the vehicle because it’s not registered and they showed me it expired in 2022 so I called the store manager and he told me he would get back to me never did so I called corporate today and they said they would reach out to store manager and have them call me that never took place then I just got a call for me to take care of the balance so they are renting out trucks that are not legal to drive and putting customers at risk if you look at sticker on license plate clearly it says 2022

Matt Smith: They would only schedule a site visit 2 months out. When he arrived, he barely even walked into the house. He didn't look at the furnace or the gutted upstairs. He had zero interest in even pretending that he would be interested in doing the job. Just wasted 2 months of our time we could have been hiring other people. Be aware that if you hire these people, you need to have some backup options.

Thomas Derr: Maintenance service provided twice a year -- once for heat, once for AC -- very professionally and competent. The system was in place when we bought the house, and it works perfectly.
LeadType: We converted from #2 fuel oil to natural gas heat on our two properties two years ago. Reidy did both conversions and their work was excellent. They were honest, on time, and on budget. One conversion had a 1.5 year savings payback (burner replacement only) and the other has a 6 year payback (complete boiler/burner replacement). The fuel savings is immense. Reidy also quickly fixed our central air-conditioning system after two other HVAC contractors couldn’t.Even though natural gas burns very clean compared to oil, we have Reidy do an annual inspection just to be sure we have a safe system.
William Crowley: Reidy did a great job installing our tank less water heater. Roger came to the house and explained exactly what they would be doing and what we should expect. They made the appointment and their installers was on time and polite and wasted no time getting the job done.The reason we called them in the first place was that they had been doing the regular maintenance on our furnace and central air for two years.We wouldn't go anywhere else . I don't worry about heating hot water and ac anymore

The first customer service rep I spoke to was not helpful at all. Then I met Cole who suggested we could put 2 new wheels on it. 15 minutes later I left store with 2 new wheels no charge. I was so impressed with Cole. He was the epitome of great customer service. Thanks to him he saved the day for me. Give this guy a raise. He’s the best

I went to Lowe's this morning and figure it's as closer to my house I could get some plumbing parts I waited I called for 30 minutes 35 minutes and no one came to give me help so I said let me go to Home Depot. So the minute I go there I saw I waited I saw an elderly gentleman help me no problem he got all the parts I needed they didn't hesitate when I said I need your help sir can you come help me please and he said sure he came to help me no problem it wasn't like the Lowe's people they see you they hide they don't want to help you so I think Lowe's is going to be my store from now on to the gentleman who helped me thank you.
