Sheila S: I called these two wonderful people to help us today as our beautiful calico cat was very sick and in respiratory distress. After hospitalization and many vet trips it was time to end her suffering. They came promptly, he examined our cat and determined it was time as well. In the most gentle way I have ever seen, they helped her cross over. They explained everything And were very patient through our tears. They even hugged us afterwards. I felt like they really cared, Not like it was their job, but like they were there to help. Thank you so much for helping her.

Joy Iwanicki: Dr Robert Sidorsky and his wife came to our home yesterday to see our cat who has been struggling the last few days. I left a voicemail for the doctor and his wife called me back the very next morning offering me a 1pm-3pm window that they could come over. They were both very calming, sweet and educational. Unfortunately we had to put our 16 year old cat down but they spoke to us about our options prior and helped us throughout the whole processes.They helped make Denali as comfortable as possible and euthanized her at home with us where she was the most happy! Prices were also reasonable.. although having someone come into your home and cause so much LESS stress for your loving pet is worth EVERY PENNY!I highly, highly recommend this couple and their services!

Sean Johnson: We unfortunately had to put our pit bull Jake down after 15 years. Dr. Sidorsky and his staff made a very difficult time as easy and stress free as possible. We didn’t want to bring him somewhere that he would have gotten worked up with strange smells, people and just a different atmosphere. Having him come to us so our dog could go as comfortable as possible in our own home was so comforting to our family. His (bedside manner) was absolutely wonderful. He took the time to explain everything and gave us as much time as we needed. Talked to my children with so much compassion and assured them this is the right choice.I’m only giving 5 stars because 6 wasn’t an option.

Dorothy Bouley: Dr. Sidorsky and his wife were easy to contact and a pleasure to speak with. My wife and I are retired and I am disabled. It is not easy to get our three pugs to a vet and it has been a negative experience to go to the pet store clinics. Inevitably, one the girls get sick.We live near the CT border and the Sidorsky live in Shelburne Falls. With such a long distance to travel I was surprised to experience their arrival like clock work. We live in a large condo complex and they showed up right at our door, rang the buzzer, and in they came.They had "carry on" equipment which included all of the lab equipment, exam tools and a quality doggy scale. They took a careful health history and they entered into their mobile computer device. It helped that I prepared by giving them a short paper health history of our doggies.They weighed the puggies, drew blood, and gave them their shots. Our puggies are pretty healthy though the oldest is 15 years old. The Sidorskys gave our puggies a clean bill of health. We worked on an kitchen island, with a cloth on it. They worked efficiently and respectfully in our home, which is a cozy one bedroom apartment. They joked with out pets and with us.What was equally surprising is the price. For the three pugs, all services complete, was $350. We have gone to vets and the price has been well over $500. Also, it was such a pleasure to have such nice AND professional come to our home.For those with limited mobility and those who just want their babies spoiled, please consider Mobile Vet of Western Mass. You will be very pleased and I guarantee you will become a repeat customer.

Valerie Ungerer: Dr. Swenson and the West Springfield Veterinary Clinic staff have provided the very best help when we needed it….since 2008….Buddy, Gabby, HoneyBun, Juka (dogs) and Harley, Charcoal, JohnnyCat, GaGaWaGa (cats)….I would highly recommend this practice and am forever grateful to everyone there.

Treatment is Not Free❗I just wanted to be clear about thatb/4 anyone starts dialing their phone.Now I have not gone to many Veterinarians, a few (5+/-) in my whole lifetime of pet ownership. All of the staff are very pleasant & I have never felt 'rushed through' any visit or conversation. I most appreciate their patience & care of my non-verbal family. Thank you ✌️

Ramani Cossack: BEWARE!!! check all the vaccinations before letting them give your animal's shots. They have given our kitten A CANINE vaccine. Thank god she was healthy and hearty otherwise she could have died. We bought the kitten at a reputable breeder and took her to our vet, who brought it to our attention that our kitten was given a canine shot. We brought this to the attention of the breeder who who was shocked because they didn't realize the mistake. This animal hospital ADMITTED TO THE MISTAKE -- but the doctor refuses to answer our vet's calls and explain how this mistake happened or how this going to affect the kitten in the long term. The offending vet is Chris Brushair (not sure of spelling), I don't know who the assistant who prepared the shots was, because the breeder said the shots were prepared ahead of time. FIND ANOTHER VET!

Our 3 cats were originally seen in Stockbridge to get "established" as patients and can now be seen in Springfield.We have a kitty who has ear problems and we were at the vets 3 times in 6 weeks. We were very happy with the care and follow up we all received in person and on the phone.This clinic is a bit smaller than Stockbridge and definitely busier but we never waited long and the staff (whom are visibly overworked) were all very pleasant and professional.We will surely continue to be clients here and to make donations to your great cause as often as we can afford too.Thanks so much for all you do for the pets and strays in our community.

Sarah Reilly: When my vet told me the cost to spay our cat was up to $600 I was shocked! We 100% did not want her to have kittens, but we just could not afford that. I found Second Chance and submitted my application. Once at the office, I found the staff helpful, kind, and reassuring. I felt Ruth was in good hands and was at peace with leaving her there. They took great care of her. She is part of my family, so I had been anxious leaving her with strangers for her spay. When we have been able to weather the current economy and have more spending money, I will be happy to donate money here. These folks are doing great work!!
