Springfield High School of Science & Technology: what do users think?
Sparky Mite: This have been the best 4 years of my life this school doesn't try to be something they are not we have the best Rotc program in Springfield and the best band in the state and we are happy to be who we are , at least I know I am
Joseph Jones: That School is 😭!!!
Harley Hybrid: This school was horrible when I went, they didn't even know what grade to place me in, so I was put in Sophomore grade, taking Junior classes. The staff was horrid and unfair to students. I skipped one class, ONE time, and the admin called a truant officer on me and the 300 pound psycho screamed and spit in my face (a 90 pound girl) and then shoved me into the temp ID's lady's desk. Later when we tried to press charges, the Principal claimed their security footage for that office was unavailable because the cameras weren't on. I heard the Principal tell one of his teachers to throw a 17 year old boy out of school because he wouldn't take off his hat in class. "He's 17, he can take care of himself" he said, while I sat in handcuffs because I skipped ONE class. The admin who called the cop on me made me feel bad about being put in Sophomore grade, at 18, and that I should just drop out and get my GED. I would have been a Junior if I stayed in Chicopee. SciTech was FULL of pregnant teenagers and kids smoked pot in the parking lot.
Joshua Adams: Typical education for springfield
Ghost Bait: unprofessional teachers that don't listen to their students, and teach so bizarrely that my entire math class failed because nothing our teacher taught us made sense. And when we told her she blamed it on us :/
Steven Gonzalez - Diaz: School good
Anderson Nguyen: As a student of HSST class of 2017, I'll say this if your looking for an ideal high school and are looking for success and freedom. GO TO Minnechaug, Longmeadow or Private school especially If you have the grades. As I look at it HSST school freedom and the strive for success is destroyed by students who lack discipline and respect either in class or out. For example In my sophomore year much of in class learning was disrupted by students who talked influencing many other students to do so as well and as over the year go by as well as tests students break an honor code trying to cheat and use the students who are working hard like me. Another thing is that if your looking for freedom you won't find it here there are students who ruin the opportunity for students who are trying to get out lunch to go to library or teacher but you have to have a pass. Now where's the trust between student and school faculties.
Juan Melendez: Good school
Chris Cruz: putnammmm
Jessica Bonilla: There are un fair with kids and the principals speak to kids side way all the time they not good with the anti bulling law they dont take care of the situation right away you have to miss work show your ass just for them to see a concern parent horrible.

Hampden Charter School of Science - East: what do users think?
安娜 Brianna: Improving.
Rob Rubin: HCSS is a nice school just like others.
Pastel Queen: I go to this school and it has no heating at all
Steve Carson: I was truly blessed with the teachers and staff here. I would recommend HCSS to everyone.
Lynda Hogan: Do not send your child to this school unless you want them to be miserable through all of their teenage years. Glad I left to public school when I had the chance.
Candy O'Connor: This is my child's 7th and last year at this school. The first 6 years were great never any issues that weren't addressed. His senior year which should be the best and most memorable has been a horrible let down. Seniors trip cancelled and reschedule somewhere else and that cancelled as well then reschedule again to share the junior class trip. Parents not notified about any of these changes. We get a folder of info sent via email every Wednesday none of this information could be shared? Before this year parents were informed of any changes. The new activity coordinator doesn't seem able to fulfil the job requirements.I feel that now they are approved for a second location the schools personalization has gone out the window. Seems it is all about saving money and cutting things they feel are not needed. If you have a complaint you feel as though you have been brushed off. I am glad my son is almost done with this school. I have become very dissatisfied with the way this school is changing. Change is suppose to be better not make things worse.
Antonio Z: This school sucks they lie about there test scores dont bother coming
Leilah Lopez: You learn the same things public schools are but hcss just stresses you out when you aren't getting it, you get points for no reason. And the staff doesnt care . take care of the expired milk too, and they're lunch is disgusting and the school too ! Don't go to this school . everything they say to advertise the school is lies, they don't live up to there word. They just stress the students to they're breaking point .
Boxer Productions: This school pushes ethical boundaries pretty much daily. Even if the temperature is barely in the single digits or just reaching the double digits, there is still school. Adding to this, over 200 kids have to go outside to reach some of their classes. Non-school brand sweatshirt aren't allowed even in these conditions, though they're literally just a stitched on logo and sold for twice as much. Whilst the students freeze to death for the time they go to the other building, staff can freely wear their winter jackets while "escorting" students from one building to the other. Facilities are often not cleaned or smell nasty. If this isn't marketed as a public school, then why do the bathrooms smell just as bad or worse compared to public Wal-Mart bathrooms? School food is often compared to prison food, while classifying prison food as a delicacy in comparison. School is until 4 for more than 90% of the year, and in the winter, some people do not see the sun when they get out. The real star average is 2.7, due to the fact that 3 of the school administration obviously gave it 5 stars. And also - don't drink the water. The water often tastes like a nice mix of bleach or shampoo with regular tap water.
may ray: There are a lot of strict rules, but they're all there for your benefits. Its a good place to get a good education.
Gloria Medina: From the front office staff to the great teachers , I could not be more pleased with this school . They keep the parents involved at all times . Teachers and staff go out of their way to know their students academic needs and make sure they are ready for college. I highly recommend HCSS
Lida Vasquez: This school does not live to its word. My child was getting bullied and even though it was brought to their attention nothing was done. There is no jurisdiction for outside assistance with any of these matters because they don't belong to any certain district. They hide things, and post inaccurate stats. Do your research including the charter schools that have already been closed due to their ways, and how this school is run by the same people that ran those others schools that were closed. Parents beware..not everything that shines is gold!
ahmad shah: HCSS is a small school, but because it is small it is an easy way to make friends allow you to be sociable and in many cases especially in turns of homework and class work it is a very needed support. The education here is hard, but that is there to push you to do better and get out of your comfort zone so that you can be the best you can be. The teachers and staff are indeed strict on many things like doing your homework and grades or following the rules, but that is the job of any teacher and staff member, but their job is to also help the student in any way possible and the teachers here do exactly that.
Tony Tran: It was a good school that had a small class size, which allowed for more focused one on one learning. I was able to receive the assistance i needed when it was necessary instead of waiting in a queue for a teacher in a normal public high school to finally have availability.
tajman123: Hampden Charter School of Science is a great learning environment packed with great teachers and incredible learning goals.
Steve Martinez: i love this school yay school
Sener Dere: Hampden Charter School of Science deserves the five stars. Here is why.1. HCSS serves the students from Chicopee, Ludlow, Springfield, and West Springfield.2. Low Income Population: 71%3. HCSS is a Level 1 (top level) with the proven provider school status in the state of MA.4. HCSS has been ranked #1 in Math and #2 in ELA in the state of MA based on student growth percentile (SGP) in 2015 10th grade MCAS results.5. HCSS was ranked #1 in the state of Massachusetts based 2014 10th grade MCAS results.(Both proficiency rates and median student growth percentile)6. HCSS got 100% of four-year college acceptance first, second, and third graduating classes.
Joe Smiler: This school is #1 school in MA!If you don't believe me, just stop by the school and see it.According to MCAS (SGP) records, they 're best in the west. :)Thanks to all teachers and students!
Harun Celik: The students have risen to the challenge by pursuing academics with zeal. We feel so blessed to have finally found an academic environment that nurtures students' successes and keeps their enthusiasm alive rather than allowing them to become bored and/or lost in the system. Hampden Charter School of Science has been the perfect fit for any student intellectually curious child, and I highly recommend it to all parents.
musa demirtas: excellent school. this year, one of their students got acceptance from Harvard University which is one of the best universities in the world. their teachers are very qualified.they work collaboratively with the students.so all in all one of the best schools.
Elizabeth San: Just had Mothers Day flowers hand-delivered by 2 of the teachers from Hampden Charter School of Science! I mean, let's think about this for a second ... not only did they go and buy flowers for each students mother, but then they drive around Spfld, W.Spfld, Chicopee and HAND-DELIVER them ON A SUNDAY!!!
