pilinga357: Jan 20th 2022 my Son got to school in time always at 7:26am walked in the classroom at 7:30am and is the second time he is being marked as absent just because the home room teacher feels like it. Im contacting the School Department to make a Report with the Board to make a meeting. Teachers are supposed to be there for the students future, not to fail them.Today is Wed, Sep 1 2021, the 3 day of school for my kids grade 9 and 10. Today was a very rainy day and can you believe the teachers name are Ms.Torrez with security shirt and brown pants the other one named Kimberly, actually kicked the students out on the poring rain and they claim is mandatory. When we tried to tell them my kids have conditions they still kicked them out. New uniforms new shoes soaked. They are not there for the kids well being at all.Last year they wouldn't let the kids out until parents pick them up, because they used to call me every day. Now with this situation im sure someone elses kid will get hurt because of this irresponsible. I have it all on Camera. If anyone is interested in seeing it.

Maria Endo: I went to Putnam and graduated in 2016. Putnam really helped me establish my career. The teachers are great, the shops are great. I am very grateful for every single teacher and staff in that school. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.

Key west Alert: I went to a program where they taught me how to deal with computers for free over the summer and they gave me free food...I liked it, but they didn't like me I was kicked out, my stupedus self...OK, all I know they are people that work with the community very well.

Censor King: Honestly... If I could give it zero stars I would. I am not surprised they have such a low rating. Their kids don't even know how to count to 5 so how can they get 5 stars? This "new school" of theirs is just a juvenile detention center. It is made out to look pretty from the outside and too "in line" on the inside. FOLLOW THE (unwritten) "RULES", HAVE CONNECTIONS, AND NEVER SPEAK "out of line" and you'll be "fine". To new coming Freshman parents, from a mom, send them to a private school...

Brenda Manning: I do not like West Springfield High School. They treat the special needs student's like they have a dis·ease. The are locked off from the rest of the school. My son hated it there. So we moved him to Agawam High School and he is doing great. I don't know much about the rest of the school , but anyone with specail needs shouldn't go there.They also say one thing to you and another to someone else. So there not even trust worthy.

Harley Hybrid: This school was horrible when I went, they didn't even know what grade to place me in, so I was put in Sophomore grade, taking Junior classes.The staff was horrid and unfair to students. I skipped one class, ONE time, and the admin called a truant officer on me and the 300 pound psycho screamed and spit in my face (a 90 pound girl) and then shoved me into the temp ID's lady's desk. Later when we tried to press charges, the Principal claimed their security footage for that office was unavailable because the cameras weren't on. I heard the Principal tell one of his teachers to throw a 17 year old boy out of school because he wouldn't take off his hat in class. "He's 17, he can take care of himself" he said, while I sat in handcuffs because I skipped ONE class. The admin who called the cop on me made me feel bad about being put in Sophomore grade, at 18, and that I should just drop out and get my GED. I would have been a Junior if I stayed in Chicopee. SciTech was FULL of pregnant teenagers and kids smoked pot in the parking lot.

Anderson Nguyen: As a student of HSST class of 2017, I'll say this if your looking for an ideal high school and are looking for success and freedom. GO TO Minnechaug, Longmeadow or Private school especially If you have the grades. As I look at it HSST school freedom and the strive for success is destroyed by students who lack discipline and respect either in class or out. For example In my sophomore year much of in class learning was disrupted by students who talked influencing many other students to do so as well and as over the year go by as well as tests students break an honor code trying to cheat and use the students who are working hard like me. Another thing is that if your looking for freedom you won't find it here there are students who ruin the opportunity for students who are trying to get out lunch to go to library or teacher but you have to have a pass. Now where's the trust between student and school faculties.

Genesis G: Most teachers are sarcastic, just move a long even if you do not understand what is going on. These teachers need to go over the work with the students for lots that do not understand the subject they are trying to learn. Do your job, and the students won't fail. Reach out to them, stop leaving them behind. This school is too challenging for lots of students that go here.

MonaLisa Leung Beckford: I graduated from the IB program (I'm not sure if the school still has the IB program now). I loved the program, got into six out of seven colleges, and graduated salutatorian. I still keep in touch with some high school friends after all these years. The teachers at this school were very friendly and cared about our success. The downside is, this school houses mostly underperforming and struggling students, and it's in a bad neighborhood with high crime rate. If you excel in school and you get into Commerce, make sure you join the Honors Classes (or IB if they still have it).
