Museum of Springfield History: what do users think?
Peter Luwinsky: Whether you just visiting Springfield, or you live here, this part of the Springfield Museum complex is well worth the visit. So much of Springfield has contributed to the quality of life in this country, in addition to its defense and progress. Once a mega for Victorian and Edwardian homes, in the Hill McKnight section ofSpringfield, are still many fine examples of this architecture. Visit these great museums and you'll see how great life can be here in Springfield.

Johanna Guillen: An enriching and truly extraordinary experience.
Martin Jahn: Interesting museum. Had a special about superheros.
Ken Lefebvre: This place manages to take something that's often presented as dry, with text and no visuals, and makes it fun for people of any age. The cars, the recreated storefronts, the different artifacts. Well worth a visit.
Erick Martinez: Nothing but good things to say about this place. My first time here and very impressed. So much to see, my son loved it as did I. Drove from connecticut to check it out and definitely worth the drive.
chris brady: We went just as it opened back up from Covid-19...nobody there and we got to have a lot of fun and pretty much had the place to ourselves...very fun.
Ma Hart: Great place to bring the family, some of their staffs are very nasty.

Jing Z: PAHMUSA is closed until further notice. In addition, Google My Business doesn't list PAHMUSA's hours correctly. Also, a sign on one of the museum windows stated it's scheduled reopen was 12/14. Sadly, upon arrival at the museum on 12/18, we discovered it was still closed.Reports from building employees are that the owner had to relocate and downsize all museum displays into a much smaller place. We need more spaces like this, especially in the state/region. I hope the owner(s) get the support they need to reopen. I did manage to take a few photos of the exhibits that were visible from outside the various museum spaces.LOCATION: It's not visible from outside and given they've relocated, I hope better signage, inside and out, improves so we all find it.Parking is metered.Stay tuned for an update, post re-opening visit.
Joanne Morah: So informative holds children interest worth the time aNd money

Beth Hall: Interesting if eclectic place. Very comprehensive. Interesting items for sale including paper dolls. Friendly hostess'.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $1–5 …More
Evan Hetzler: Wonderful experience
Bianca Giron: A little hard to find and it is street parking. They had to turn the lights on in the back to show me the museum. Very tiny but for $4 I would not expect too much. There are a few unique items worth seeing. A lot of the cooler stuff got moved to the museum in Pigeon Forge though. Also no pictures was disappointing. Bathroom was also not available.
Jason Firewicz: This place is practically a hole in the wall in Indian Orchard hidden in the back of a jewelry store, and I went out of my way to find it because I haven't lived around here for almost 30 years and couldn't locate it before Google or GPS was even a thing. Most of their Titanic collection was made up of typical pictures, books, magazines and models, etc. The largest one of a kind models are phenomenal in their detail. The most interesting things here included a few items donated by real Titanic survivors from their actual voyage, a piece of carpet and small materials taken from the Titanic before it sank, and a couple of tools donated by Dr. Ballard's team from his first exploration expedition. The lady who operated the place from the founding family of the society was of course very friendly and informative.
marc riel: Like
Ken M: Lots of history and artifacts from and about Titanic and her sister ships. A must stop if you are into the History of Titanic. A little hard to find, It's inside a small jewelry store.
Ian Roberts: The guide was knowledgable and directly involved with the board and pieces in the collection. Amazing collection and tour. Worth a visit and may even join the board.
Automaniac: Great place to visit

Elizabeth Port: A time-capsule near the Old Town Green in the old center of Long Meddowe. Take a tour and explore the collection which is fantastic yet rarely open. Try to visit during the second weekend of May when they are surely open for the annual celebration called Long Meddowe Days! The house was built in 1783 and in it lived the second pastor of the historic settlement just south of Springfield. Stephen Williams was the first Rev. and Richard Salter Storrs the second....but you can also learn some history next door at the Storrs Public Library where they have a history room. The Storrs House is well worth a visit if you have an interest in the Connecticut River Valley...then head up north to Historic Deerfield next.
