Paradox King: Take years they don’t even call you on update about you’re stuff
stephen joyce: I needed some patches sewn on my m/c vest and am so happy I stopped here. They had to open the liner so the pockets would not be sewed up then restitch. Fantastic work and very good prices. Great turn around. Will be telling my friends.
Jon Reed: Was really happy to find this expert leather and repair place. I was told by one store if I wanted a luggage repair - zipper in my case - I'd have to go all the way into Boston. But this Springfield place does luggage and handbag repair. They got my bag turned around quickly and for a reasonable price. I even told my favorite luggage story - Harlow Luggage in Northampton - about them as it's good to have a good repair place around here for pesky broken zippers and luggage repair etc. Bonus: you don't have to drive through the Springfield traffic jam part if you're driving in on 91, you go around on 291. Nice.

He also has sewed patches on my boyfriends leather vest for Baca and his work is always perfect. Done quite a few repairs for me and his repair work is always to perfection.

I appreciate the honesty (even when the shoes are my favorites). Great cobblers are hard to come by these days, but he’s the best! Patty Mak: Owner ripped a pair of $300 shoes apart then claimed they were not repairable. Discouraged at the lack of care for the value, I asked if he would make an attempt since he had already manipulated the integrity of the shoes entirely. He agreed but stated it would be another week before he could attempt. In 2 weeks I returned leaving more time, to have him arrogantly return the shoes without attempting any sort of repair and returned my money. But I tried to explain now I’m out of repairable shoes due to disrespect to their value. He walked away without regard. Zero stars and report to BBB is a better score in my opinion.

Paul Goodchild Ph.D., CPA: Super shoe repair and a nice man. He fixed my golf cleats better than new and had a few jokes to go with them. It's great to have someone with cobbler skills still available.Price was reasonable and work was done in less than a week. A day earlier than projected. I highly recommend.Business is cash only.

Sandy Bell: I have gone to Ace for several repairs not only for shoes. He has done work on my purses, and even re-strung my grandson's baseball glove and catcher's mitt. He does quality work. Some times I have to wait a little longer but I don't mind because of the excellent workmanship he performs. I don't know of any other shoe repair shop that re-stings baseball gloves. He is one of the last. I'm embarrassed that I can't recall the owners name but he is the BEST there is.

Marie Arnold: Nice clean shop. Although I had a strange request to shorten my boots; this experienced, talented shoe artist was able to do a great job. Very reasonable and fast.
MYM: A true craftsman. He fixed a pair of my heels that someone in Boston said were beyond repair.

Max Chester: I'm sure this shoe repair business is good. However, they are not very good at communicating their hours. There aren't many shoe repair places in the area and I spent about 40 minutes getting to this repair shop. I arrived a little after 1:00 and it was closed with a sign on the door saying that they would be back at 2:00. I was not going to wait around for an hour. They should put better signage out and possible put their hours on Google as they said they would be open from 8:30 to 5:00 but didn't say anything about taking an hour for, I assume, lunch.

Megan Joy: Hours are posted 8:30-5:30 however, I waited almost 2 hours during said operating hours and the door was locked. Clock on door said “return at 2pm”. I gave up and left at 2:20. During the almost 2 hours of waiting, I watched 5 others come and go, leaving the business because no one was there. Why would you operate a business, say what your hours are and not be there to service your customers? Few other people I talked to who turned and left said this wasn’t the first time they’ve come and he wasn’t there. I will NOT be returning because if he doesn’t care enough about his business, why should I?? PS: I traveled 30 min to get to him. Waste of my time!
Donna Croteau: Horrible place!! I went to have shoes evaluated for repair he told me it was gonna be $20 then proceeded to rip my shoes apart so now I couldn't even use them at all.
michael gregory: A wonderful shoemaker. He does excellent work. One of the last truly great craftsman left in the area. Yes he requests a payment when you leave your work. If you intend to pick up your leather goods this should not cause a hardship. His prices are fair. He did an excellent job on my favorite shoes.
