My first experience was okay, he informed me I would need some fillings and I went back to get them done.I was a voluntary patient at the STCC dental hygiene program to assist students in patient count, and when I went for Xrays, they told me to consult my dentist as I had a cavity where I was having tooth pain - they also mentioned how most of the fillings he had done looked very poor. I made an appointment with Dr. Elfman to have this looked at, and from the get go he began the appointment with "If STCC finds something wrong, tell THEM to fix it instead of sending you to me." (they do not do fillings - they are students that do cleanings and xrays, which I informed him of)During this appointment, he numbed my gums and when he asked if it felt good, I said it wasn't quite numb yet, so he roughly gave a second injection. The next time, he didn't even ask and began the procedure. I could feel the drill and the pain was almost instant, so I started to make audible sounds of discomfort, and all he said was "I know, just stay still". Until I continued to show discomfort, he finally asked what "the issue" was, and I told him I could feel everything and the numbing agent did not work. He told me he was going to finish as he was almost done.I left with severe tooth pain and his parting comment was "Don't forget - next time STCC finds something, tell them not to send you to me".For a dental "professional", he is lacking a lot of professionalism. I will not be returning.

P S: Great experience after avoiding the dentist for so many years. Dr. Elfman and the entire staff were very welcoming and informative.

MonaLisa Leung Beckford: My brother has autism and it has been difficult convincing him to go to the dentist, left alone keep him still and have someone to look into his mouth and clean his teeth. But after 10+ years his teeth has heavy buildup of tartar/plaque and really needs a deep cleaning. My mom decided to made an appointment with this dental office and and explained my brother's situation. Mary the person at the desk was very kind and responsive, she helped me and my brother get checked in. The dental hygienist Pollee was very patient and took things slow with my brother, explaining what she's going to do, each tool she's going to use, and took her time removing tartar/plaque around his teeth. Pollee needs a raise for making my nervous brother comfortable enough to open his mouth and let her clean his teeth! The dentist came in for a few minutes and checked his mouth and was very nice to my brother too. We will definitely return due to how kind and respectfull they were to my autistic brother. Absolutely 10/10 service here!

They are located on Bicentennial highway in Springfied.They do amazing work on implants. Actually the practice is just wonderful. Guarantee you won't feel cheated. Don't waste your time in negativity. Level up and move on!

Elaine Berthiaume: Life is too short to spend in negativity. After my consultation with Dr. Peck, it was easy to make a conscious decision to not be where I don’t want to be; namely, Taylor Street Dental. Positive options are available and worth investigating. 👍

Elizabeth Mish: I saw Dr Peck for a few years. He misdiagnosed me and I ended up having implants installed. He told me, but now denies it, that I should wear my dentures right away. In doing so it placed too much tension on my implants and pulled them out of the bone. Every implant he put in has fallen out. He put tiny implants on the roof of my mouth (I’d rather have a kidney stone). The pain was horrible. I went there in pain and he told my sister I was attention seeking. Consequently, after all this and $50,000 later I cannot wear dentures, I can’t have implants, all the bone is gone, all that happened was I was a contributor to his new office. I have spoken to other professionals who said I was cheated. Now I have speech issues, I can only eat mushy food and he wants nothing to do with me because I posted a negative review on yelp. He threatened me and forced me to take it down. I’ve moved away now and am no longer afraid of his threats.

DR Peck and his lovely staff make me feel so comfortable. Most everyone greets me by name. They have done great work and plenty more to come!!! Highly recommend!!!

B Roy: My partner went to Taylor Dental because it was the only dentist within walking distance of his work that could accommodate his lunch schedule. They got him in two days after his call. He came home elated and raving. I didn't know someone could truly enjoy going to the dentist, but he did.A few months later I decided to try them out. I wasn't expecting to be as overjoyed by my experience but I was hoping, at least, not to be traumatized by it. When I walked in the receptionist was extremely welcoming, offering me a water or tea, and immediately recognizing my partner's name when I mentioned him.My wait was short and I was brought to the back for an initial appointment. First I was given a tour of the entire office to help get my jitters out. I was introduced to the staff who were not with patients. The dental tech (or assistant? I don't know the difference, honestly) was very relaxing. She offered me a blanket. The tools that were used were connected to a computer so I could look inside my mouth at the same time as she worked. They took frequent pictures, and later when the dentist came in he explained them to me.Sadly, I needed a root canal. I was able to make an appointment immediately. I was a bit nervous about it when I came in. The dentist patiently answered every single one of my questions. He seemed genuinely pleased to be able to share his knowledge, and did so in a congenial rather than patronizing manner. He was calming and kind. He told me I should feel absolutely no pain during my root canal.Somehow, he was right. I was given some special glasses with screens as lenses that played a movie for me to watch. I was able to chose a film from a very long list, which somehow included my favorite rom-com that few people watch (Because I Said So, featuring Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore). I was given headphones. We created a hand signal for me to show that I needed a break, and then he began the procedure.I truly did not feel any pain during the root canal. The dentist personally called me the next day to make sure I was feeling ok and to see if I needed anything or had any questions.Both the attention to detail and incredible customer service are what set this office apart from other dentists' offices. While it is a bit more expensive than other dentists (and much more expensive than chain dentistry), if you are able to afford it and you are searching for a dentist office that pays close attention to you, meets you where you are, and helps you make goals to improve your dental health that are catered to -you-, then Taylor Street Dental is absolutely the dentist office for you.

She saved my tooth from its most likely extraction by deftly removing the decay and rebuilding it back perfectly!The procedure was absolutely painless! The level of professionalism, friendliness, and general all-around "down home" feel was fantastic. There is a sincerity in the effort to do the "right thing" for their patients that I thought had died years ago.The understated exterior of their office belies the exceptional skilled work done behind that door.I commend the entire staff for always making me feel comfortable and going above and beyond to meet my dental needs.

Cloudy The Scribbler: I have been seeing Dr Peck for about 7 1/2 years or more, and he has always been good. I had several major problems when I started and he was the only dentist who said he could save my teeth in all three problems, and he delivered. I am diabetic and have to have my teeth cleaned frequently, and the service is always nice. The staff are always nice and friendly which unfortunately is not always the case -- some places give you a cold shoulder.

Betsy J: This is the BEST dentist I have ever used. Sad to think I travelled hours to and from my previous “favorite”. To begin with, the office is beautiful and clean. The front desk staff are so polite, wonderfully nice and very helpful. The hygienist assigned to me (Linda) is very gentle, yet does a completely thorough job. Finally, my dentist, Dr. Tyra (together with her assistant Monica) give top-notch dental care with the most gentle touch imaginable. They strive to make the experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible, even to the point where you can fall asleep during the work!! They provide pillows and blankets (heated) and the most soothing smooth jazz music. This is the first time in my life going to a dentist isn’t a tortuous experience and I really can’t say thank you enough to the entire staff for all they do!!

Peter Fontaine: March 17, 2023 update: I have been a patient now for a couple years, and honestly, I have not had a bad experience at all. Let’s start with the front staff, between Tony, Darlene, and Brenda (no certain order) the three of them are very welcoming and professional at their careers. I usually need certain dental forms filled out every year for my employer and within 24 to 48 hours I receive an email with said paperwork filled out. Every time I walk in their energy and positivity starts my visit off relaxed and in a great mood, Thank You Brenda, Darlene, and Tony!Dr. Tyra, amazing skills and my comfort was her first priority. To make a long story short, I had started the Invisalign treatment with a different orthodontist and my treatment ended up taking a negative turn, wasn’t the Orthodontist's fault, it was just how it was, so I needed some work done on my face to improve my smile. Dr. Tyra and Monica worked on my mouth for 5 straight hours prepping and doing what needed to be done, and after this intense 5 hour procedure my pain level was at a 1 maybe 1.5 and that’s after all the Novacaine wore off. I was very nervous about how much pain I was going to be in after everything was completed. It’s been a week and a half and my gums, teeth, jaw, all of it feel great! Monica was excellent at making sure I was well prepped and comfortable to the point I was falling asleep, yes that’s right, these ladies took care of me during a 5 hour major procedure, I was so relaxed that I was able to fall asleep. Dr. Tyra and Monica would also do hygiene checks throughout the procedure for themselves which is critical in such a major procedure, I honestly never seen at any other dentist office before, but they should practice it. The one thing that Dr. Tyra does that is so beneficial is at the beginning of any procedure that requires Novocaine the numbing gel is applied then after a couple minutes of letting that settle in and start working she gently grab your upper or lower lip obviously depending on what area she is working on and wiggle it back and forth while using the needle to apply the Novocain, I appreciate that verse just sticking you with the needle and applying the Novocain. Dr. Tyra, Thank You for my Amazing smile!Ever gone to a dentist and they do a cleaning but you leave either feeling like you do a better job with a hard toothbrush or you leave in pain for three days, I have in the past. Not at Taylor street Dental. Linda, I see Linda at least every quarter for a cleaning and she is another amazing person at her career! Her technical skills are more like fine art, harmonious yet diligent at her profession. I look forward to my cleanings and after my major procedure Linda came up to me complimenting me on my smile with a lot of enthusiasm that in that moment I started realizing I have a beautiful smile to be proud of.I am grateful for all the personnel at Taylor Street Dental, truly a wonderful place that I am going to be a patient for a very long time! Everyone there is so sweet and professional and very understanding with whatever your circumstances are. I had a root canal done….the first one I have ever had, so I wasn’t sure what to expect for pain. I had no pain at all during and after the procedure. Patricia Senser: Had a very pleasant first visit and was talked into a cat scan for Dr Fox to evaluate. Also made an appt to have upper denture relined to be done at the office in one day. It has been a week and have heard nothing from the office regarding cat scan or consultation. Went from Greenfield to the office this morning for the scheduled reline impressions only to find out that the lab person has been sick for two days and they now wanted to send out my dentures to a lab off sight. Not at all what I was expecting. Asked why I wasnt called about this. They said she was sick. In the course of the conversation they said she was really sick and not in yesterday! No call??? I had made it clear I did not want denture sent out because of time. Very disappointed and spent $400 on a cat scan that obviously is going nowhere with them.

They are so friendly, honest, helpful, and it is obvious that they love what they do, from the folks at the front desk, to the dental hygienists. They have late hours to accommodate all schedules, and they try to schedule you with the same dental hygienists, so that you become comfortable with them and build a relationship. I have yet to have a bad experience (cavities and all), and would recommend them to anyone.

Kim neil: I was up visiting family for the holidays. My tooth and jaw monday in the middle of the night. They could not see me Tuesday but got me in first thing on Wednesday morning. The staff was incredible. They didn’t judge and new I was from out of town. I had insurance card but didn’t know which one was dental because it was not written on it and couldn’t focus because of pain. They figured it for me and was amazing. They did a full work up and told me what the problem was unfortunately I had to get the tooth removed.They had an available appointment 30 minutes after my appointment so I wait and had it done. Dr. Lee was amazing. I have had tooth pulled out before but it was as easy as he had done. He made sure I wasn’t in any pain and when I thought it was giving him a hard time he said it was done. When being numb and pulling it out it took under 15 minutes. If I lived up here I would definitely go back. I hate going to the dentist and have anxiety about it but they were amazing and I felt relaxed and comfortable. Thank you to your team. I am feeling so much better. Lindsey Chmura: This place is a joke. I made an appointment on a Friday before Christmas because my molar broke, causing extreme pain. I saw the dentist that day and he didn't do anything to fix the sharp parts of my tooth that were digging into my cheek. He only prescribed me ibuprofen. As I check out, I made an appointment the following week for what I thought was to get it pulled. I show up to my appointment and apparently it was only for the hygienist to check my gums. I'm not sure how that is more important than pulling the tooth that is causing me pain but whatever. I said something about the tooth and they were going to get it taken care of that day. The receptionist told me it would be $528 for the extraction. She never actually ran my insurance to find out the real cost. Once she called my insurance, they said it would be over $300 because it's actually a wisdom tooth and my insurance won't cover it because I should be seeing an oral surgeon. Not once did the dentist tell me that the tooth that was broken was a wisdom tooth or tell me I need to see an oral surgeon. I wouldn't have scheduled another visit if they had told me that at my original appointment. I would have been searching for an oral surgeon to help me.The office acted like I was inconveniencing them when instead I'm the one who is in extreme pain from my broken tooth and no remedy in sight. They could have cared less about helping me. She dismissed me so fast when I got upset. I will NEVER return here again! This place doesn't care about its patients at all.

They kept having me go back forth trying to figure out where the pain was coming from but couldn’t figure it out. After 3 months of pain and going back and forth my dentist sent me over to Globus Dental so they can figure it out. The doctor over at Globus figured it out and was very patient with me when filling out the tooth. You can say the doctor went over and beyond to fix and save the tooth.
