In the summertime a beehive had formed on my window called for it to be removed they never did so I had to remove it myself. Also I have reported numerous times about loud music being played all times of night and nothing happens just really hope the owner do something about this other than taking our rent money

S.: This problem of cold air coming thru overhead cabinets, fuse box, thru overhead vent over stove, surrounding back wall in kitchen and entire bottom where new doors were installed started right after major renovation project. No problems prior to that. I was happy with this apartment. I addressed these problems to Inspector Robert Vacetti in 2015. He said "he'd have someone come back & check it". He tore taped foil off vent & told me "you can't do that". He passed this apartment on his inspection. I had temperature readings of 38-43degrees of cold air coming into kitchen area which affects all of downstairs. I could write a book with all I've been going thru trying to get this fixed. It was cited 2xs by Code Enforcement. It's 8 yrs. and problem still exists. There was a bandaid job done & it lasted a few months. It's obvious after 8yrs. they aren't qualified or not motivated to fix these issues. I'm sure there will be a Management response trying to downplay my comment. But as they say" the prove is in the pudding". I have the pudding.

sarah harvey: Cute little apartment for small families or if your looking for something temporary. If you have a lot of kids don’t bother the smaller rooms are so tiny you can’t even fit a full size dresser you have to stick them inside the closets to make space for the kids to at least play around. The bath tub constantly peels every single year and many others living in the area cause I sure have asked around. In the beginning they told me not to use bleach, or any type of scrubber cause it will cause the peeling. I stopped using bleach. I just spray it down and rinse and no matter what still peels!! Idk if they use cheap material to fix it but I know families who’s lived in a home for many years and there rub has never peeled like it in Colonial. The laundry room is definitely a no go. It’s nice that they have a few in the project for those who can’t travel but they can at least get some decent washers. No matter how much soap you put in it does not get soapy and barely any water goes in the washer so the clothes can wash correctly so I have to go out of way and uber to the laundry mat.

Mandie Denise: I've lived here 11 years now & while its a great place to live, there's a few things that are atrocious. There's ppl playing music at all times of night. Very loudly! There's ppl on dirt bikes and/or 4 wheelers that ride thru the woods & thru the back of my apartment around to the front, on the grass where there's sometimes kids playing. The parking accommodations are not ideal. I believe we as residents should have assigned parking. There's more times than not that I come home to all the resident spaces taken because residents don't have their company park in visitor spaces. I have medical issues with my back & can't walk too far so it's extremely inconvenient to have to park far from my apt & walk to my house.I will say I love the atmosphere, I like the fact that there's areas where kids can play and that the office provides families with activities. Overall it's a great placed to live, I just wish some residents were more respectful of others around them.

Herika Rivera: This is a great place to raise middle aged children. Everyone is very friendly and the apartments are beautiful inside. However, I do not recommend these units if you have allergies or have small children with very strong allergies. I lived here almost 9 years and have very few complains. Although, the place is beautiful and the people are kind. I would rate them a 4 four star for uncontrolled spread of dirt due to lawn care and stray dog. Other then some other things I heard about the place that turned out not to be true this place is top on the list of best places you can live at in Springfield, MA.

Warycarpenter: less of a review and more of a question But how do you go about working out prices and how much it would cost monthly looked on website and couldn't find answer i was looking for a 3 bedroom

Sherri: My family moved into colonial estates in Mid March. I noticed at least 1 carpenter ant in the kitchen each day and every once in awhile in 1 of the bedrooms. I e-mailed colonial estates let them know that I thought it was going to be a problem when it gets warmer. They offered ant traps. Sure enough, in early May I came home from work and had over 20 ants roaming my kitchen. They did not want to terminate until 2 weeks later. Side note: extermination takes 5 minutes. Why they didn't want to send extermination services earlier, I don't know. They refused. It's acceptable to live infested with ants. The first week of moving in, I assembled a typical metal twin bed. I pulled all the parts out of the box and separated all parts. I leaned 4 poles on the wall and it punctured a hole in the wall. Also, in March, the week after I moved in, the screen door broke. I reported it, as well as 2 lights, and it took 3 weeks to partially fix the door and 1 of the lights. It wasn't completely fixed until the last week of June. In April the vent in the bathroom broke, which they did fix the next day, however, within 1 week, the vent broke again. I have asked them to plan when they make repairs with me so that I may be present. That has not happened, yet. There is no living room lighting, it has to be a floor lamp. That is acceptable for me because there is a light switch that control that electrical outlet. However, now that outlet no longer works. I do appreciate not having to look out the window of my unit and see a giant dumpster. They do offer a 2 different locations to get rid of trash, however, it is often over flowing and disgusting. Many times it attracts raccoons. On the outside, this Colonial Estates looks nice, however, looks are deceiving.

Maria Daughter of the Living God!!: As long as I've been living here for 8 years I have no complaints. If something breaks down at any time you can call for maintenance 24 hours and if it's an emergency its taken care of immediately. I speak for myself and not the other tenants as I love living here as a green community I truly appreciate it. The only concern I have is the trash compartments that they install that tenants don't seem to comply and just throw the garbage in front of the trash Bins instead of in it but even that is being taken care of.

Lauren: Wouldn't want to go anywhere else. There are activities all the time for residents to take part in. There is a great splash pad and playgrounds for the kids. The site is clean, and the staff is friendly. The manager and her team are always there to help when there's a problem, and they are very welcoming and concerned about your issues. I'm glad I did business with them.

The manager and team are very kind, supportive and helpful. Very invovled with the community as well. I feel this is one of the safest communities out here. The kids are kept busy with events during the school season they also have tutoring! All in all allen park is a great place to live!
